"I know but come on mom you can't honestly disagree that if I was to tell dad I had plans for the barn for my birthday party in a week he would throw a fit,"

"I..ok your right I'll...,"as Martha's sentence paused she looked horrified as she realized she hit something.

Angela unlatched her seatbelt and threw open the truck door. Stepping out carefully in her six inch high heel boots she slowly made her way to the front of the truck to check on what her mother hit.

"OMG!, mom we need to go to the hospital," Angela screamed out as she dropped to her knees beside the small figure of a boy laying in front of the truck. Being gentle Angela slowly laid him straight out and scanned him to see if the boy was injured within from the impact.

Slowly Angela picked up the young boy and made her way back into the truck urging her mother to go to the hospital fast.

As they arrived Angela hopped out with the boy as she told Martha to park the truck and meet her inside. The young boy eyes slowly opened and Angela smiled at him.

"It's ok slight accident we're here to get you checked out ok," The boy nodded as he grew comforted at Angela's words, that was til he saw his step parents.

An hour later Angela sat in the lobby with her mother and Clark who had showed up when their mother called the house.

"Kent's?,"

"Yes, how is he?,"

"He has minor injuries, he'll be fine. Though there is the matter he has injuries not related to the accident as well, did you want to take custody of him til the matter is handled?,"

"Yes,"Angela spoke first surprising Clark and Martha at her readyness to take custody of such a young kid.

"What about Lex?,"

"Already knows, I told him half hour ago he has the paper work being prepped to legal custody him to us,"

"Why sis?,"

"Cause he is one of infected we caused this is our duty, this is my duty to handle the non agressive cases," as Angela dropped that bombshell on Clark and Martha she walked away to see the boy.

As she entered the hospital room she noticed the kid already sitting up in the bed anxious to leave.

"I know we weren't properly introduced earlier, I'm Angela Kent and you?,"

"Ryan,"

"Well it's nice to meet you Ryan, the doctors here wanted to place you in a not so friendly location but I convinced them otherwise to let you come home with me to my boyfriend's mansion,"

"Why can't I read you?," as Ryan said that Angela could tell it was most likely a accident, a slip of tounge in the moment.

"It's ok I know your special, as does my brother and mother but they won't tell anyone neither will I, you see me and my twin we're special too in our own way,"

"Really?,"

"Yup, my real name is Ang-el, and I'm not from here," Angela said giving Ryan a wink at sharing her secret.

"Thanks I don't feel so alone at the moment,"

"You won't anymore my boyfriend, Lex, has his lawyers getting paper work together to have you legally live with us cause of your gift,"

"Thank you," as Ryan said that he leaned over and hugged Angela.

An hour later

Angela and Ryan entered the mansion laughing as Lex met them in the foyer.

"Hello Ryan, welcome to Luthor Mansion,"

"Hi,"

"He's a bit shy love, it's ok Ryan this is Lex he is really nice and he knows about me and protects us ok,"

"Ok," Ryan nodded as Angela beckoned him to follow her.

"Here you can sit and read if you want to, I saw the comic book," Angela laughed as she noticed Ryan's eyes widened at the small library section she had brought him to above the study where she and Lex would be.

"I'll have Lex order you the entire series and any other series you like you just let us know what you like,"

"Thank you Angela,"

"Any time kiddo you relax and read we'll just be right below ok,"

"Ok," as Ryan said that he slipped off his coat and shoes and got comfortable on the seat to start reading.

Downstairs Angela sat on the couch rubbing her temples.

"What's wrong?,"

"He's one of them,"

"One of...oh, well then even more serious we make it so we can keep him,"

"Are you serious?,"

"Ryan, how much did you hear,"

"I can't hear you, but I can hear him. What does he mean by his thoughts of being meteor infected?,"

"Sigh, when my brother and I came down to earth it brought with us metoerite, it infected alot of people. It also transformed alot of people to have abilities like yourself,"

"You did this to me?,"

"I'm sorry Ryan, but I'm going to make sure your happy and taken care of while with me,"

"No!," as Ryan screamed out at them he took off running out of the mansion.

"Aren't you going after him?,"

"He is mad at me, I'll call Clark," Angela said as she dug her phone out of her leather jacket pocket.

"Clark?,"

"Hey bro Ryan know's what caused his abilities he took off running from here he is mad at me make a stop in his run,"

"Got you sis I'll handle it,"

"Thanks Clark," with that handled Angela hung up and shook her head at the amount of damage their arrival did cause.

The Next Morning

Angela made her way downstairs slowly she had dressed for the day and had just finished pulling her midnight black hair up into a ponytail. Looking down at herself she hoped the outfit wasnt too revealing to meet with the case worker for Ryan at the hospital. She had chosen to wear a dark blue blouse with a few buttons left open, a pair of black yoga pants, and was planning to wear her black ankle boots.

After grabbing a energy bar Angela slipped on her boots and leather jacket, and made her way out to the Audi.

Having left early enough she knewshe had enough time to stop by the farm. Shewas glad she did though seeing the sight of her brother and Ryan playing basketball as she pulled up, with their parents watching them.

Stepping out of the car Angela slid her sunglasses up onto the top of head and smirked over at her brother.

"Having fun?,"

"Oh yeah,"

"Yeah, I'm sorry about yesterday Angela,"

"It's ok kid I can understand why you got mad, ready to go to the hospital to meet with the case worker?,"

"Not really but if I can stay with you for good then I'm ready,"

"Thanks the attitude kiddo hop on in the Audi," Angela said as she turned to her family.

"Thank you,"

"Go get him babygirl," Jonathon said surprising everyone, and making Angela tear up. Reaching up Angela gave her father a hug before heading to the car to leave.

The Mansion

"Son, it's good to see you,"

"Can't say the same about you father," Lex replied laying the file he was reading back down on his desk in front of him.

"I just wanted to compliment you on the profits being made at your plant,"

"Well then thank you,"

"Also, I want to offer you the job of Special Advisor to the chairman in Metropolis,"

"I won't accept it but i'll think about it," Lex replied making his father happy enough to nod and turn to leave.

Once he was gone he was grateful he could finish his work in peace while Angela was dealing with weather or not they could keep Ryan. he wanted to get as much done before he met them at the Talon later.

The Talon

"Drinks for everyone!," Angela shouted in joy as she and Ryan entered the Talon.

"You got him?,"

"Yep bro Ryan is staying with me," Angela said so happily as she hugged her brother tight.

"I'm so happy for you sis, and congrats Ryan,"

"Thanks Clark," Ryan said as he slid into the booth as Lana served drinks to everyone.

"So what's the news?," Lex asked as he finally arrived hugging Angela from behind.

"We get to keep him babe,"

"That's great news love, by the way Ryan I found more Warrior Angel's for you I read the whole set when I was younger so your welcome to read them to catch up,"

"Thanks," Ryan replied coldly to Lex.

"Hey what's with the attitude to Lex?,"

"He's thinking about leaving, his father offered him a job in Metropolis," as Ryan revealed the news before Lex could Angela turned to him in tears before rushing out of the Talon.

"Angela!," Lex yelled out as he ran after her leaving Ryan with Clark.

"What," Angela replied as she stood with her back to him crying in the alley beside the Talon.

"I'm sorry I was going to tell you tonight about my father showing up offering me that, I'm not taking the job Angel, I wouldn't leave you or our family like that,"

"You promise?,"

"I promise," Lex replied pulling Angela into his arms stroking her hair as she calmed down.

"I'm probably a mess now," Angela said wiping at her eyes.

"You are always beautiful now matter what love," Lex sweetly said as he leaned down kisisng her gently.

After five minutes (with Angela having time to fix her makeup of course) they made their way back into the Talon where Ryan met them at the door.

"I'm sorry, you just got me and i've already messed up if you want to send me back i'd understand,"

"Ryan, you aren't going back you are staying with us here in Smallville," Angela replied kneeling down to look Ryan in his eyes.

"You're staying?,"

"Yes, but you have one rule in our home ok, no gift using on either of us,"

"I can agree to that," Ryan said happily as he hugged Angela.

"Now let's celebrate," Clark said as everyone starting celebrating the good news of the day.

Later that evening as Lex drove Clark home as Angela drove Ryan back to the mansion he decided to take the moment to talk to Clark.

"Did you ever want a sibling?,"

"Yes, but I knew my parents couldn't have any so I never pushed,"

"I had one, his name was Julian he passed away as a infant,"

"I'm sorry to hear that Lex,"

"It's ok it was a long time ago I've come to understand what happened, why it broke my parents up and how my mother was never the same again. But Clark despite the whole not being blood you're my brother no matter what so you have a sibling,"

"You're my brother too Lex," Clark smiled as he patted Lex on the shoulder and headed inside.

As Lex drove home he was happy to see how things were turning out he had a beautiful girlfriend, a new addition to their family, and in turn the Kents and he had become closer throughout all they had faced so far.

Later that evening Clark noticed the storm cellar door open and headed quickly over to it considering that was where his parents had hid his and Angela's spaceship. As he made his way down he was surprised to find Ryan.

"Hey what are you doing here Ryan thought you were home with Angela,"

"Lex is getting ready to go to dinner with his father Angela was helping him thought it would be ok if i came over and talked,"

"Sure about what?,"

"My parent's are dead, i lived with my step parents but they have done nothing but abuse me and made me steal for them. Clark I don't want that anymore I just want to start over with Angela,"

"Don't worry Ryan you are starting over with her you don't have to worry about them anymore," Clark said giving him a one armed sideways hug.

As Clark sent Ryan on into the farm house he headed up to the loft to finish his homework before bed.

At the house Martha was surprised at a knock at the door.

"Hello Mrs Kent I'm Debra I'm a CPS worker I'm here to take Ryan with me,"

"What but my daughter was just granted custody of him this morning,"

"Prematuraly, I assure you we found his family I'm taking him to them now," Debra said as she turned towards Ryan and focused her thoughts to talk to him.

'Play along you little brat you don't get a say in this come along or we will kill the family,' Ryan didn't want them to die so he decided to play along.

After Ryan left with just a hug to Martha Lex arrived shortly after to talk to Clark again.

"Hey Clark,"

Hey Lex, Ryan's here so you know,"

"We figured he likes it here like we do, here a gift for you," Lex said handing Clark a fencing sword.

"It's called a foil I figured with us being brother's I could teach you a thing or two,"

"Thanks Lex I appreciate it," Clark said smiling as he placed it gently on the top shelf of the book case that was in the loft.

"I'll see you tomorrow Clark I have to go have dinner with my father,"

"Good luck Lex,"

"Thanks Clark," Lex laughed as he made his way back down to the limo and making his way to Metropolis.

Lex hadn't realized though that his limo had been taken over, the driver was his normal driver it was none other then Ryan's stepfather. In the front seat sat Ryan and Debra.

"Well Mr Luthor this is your unlucky day,"

"Who are you,"

"Doesn't matter who I am I have the information for your trust fund I just need your password and then we will have not only the money but one hell of a life ahead of us,"

"I won't give you it,"

"It's Julian," Ryan spoke softly hoping Lex wouldn't hear him.

"Thanks Luthor you just did, get out," as the Gibsons toss Lex out of the limo they speed off leaving him on the side of the road.

Stopping at the local bowling alley they begin to get ready to torch the limo and hack the trust fund. As they put the password Ryan gave them they grew frustrated as it didn't work.

"You little brat it doesn't work give me the right password or I'll kill you,"

"Let's just kill him anyways," Debra replied glaring at Ryan.

"He will just kill you anyways, he has plans to kill you once he has the money,"

"He is lying, I don't plan on killing you baby," James says trying to make it look like Ryan was just play games with her.

"He has never lied before," Debra said confronting James giving Ryan a chance to get away.

As Ryan made it into the building he heard the gunshot then the door opening again and Jame's voice yelling for him comfirming that he had killed Debra.

Ryan was scared as James advanced on him but suddenly he was gone hit by a bowling ball. Looking over Ryan's lips turned into a smile as he saw Clark had saved him.

"Come on kid there's a surprise for you at the farm house," Clark said as he toted Ryan up on his back and sped back to the farm.

As they arrived Ryan was stunned to see Angela and Lex, along with Martha and Jonathon with another lady.

"Ryan this is your aunt, she came to take you home to take care of you,"

"But I thought us specials had to stick together?,"

"We will Ryan Clark and I will keep in touch your aunt understands your gifts and why we want to be there for you,"

"Thank you Angela," Ryan replied walking forward hugging her tight as Lex placed his hand on Ryan's shoulder.

As Ryan left with his aunt he left his comics with Clark and hugs them all goodbye. As Angela stood on the porch with Lex watching Ryan leave she sighed in disappointment.

Lex understood how she felt and hugged her tight kissing her forehead as a promise that things would be alright. That's all she could hope for was a good future with Lex, and possibly kids of their own.
