Pregnancy was a beautiful thing, but it was also incredibly exhausting.

There were a lot of amazing aspects about pregnancy: the baby bump, the little flutters and kicks as her baby grew, the conversations about names that could be really fun, the baby shower where she could play games and receive gifts all while she spent time with her loved ones (and she had a lot of fun trading stories about the men in her life with her aunt Kate, mother-in-law Debbie, and best friend Tatum), and just the knowledge that she was growing an entire person, the greatest symbol of love between her and Billy, in her womb and that she'd be able to meet that sweet little person very soon.

With everything in life, though, pregnancy did have some drawbacks, such as: morning sickness, breasts so sore she'd have to wear a bra even in her own home just so they wouldn't hurt when she walked, weird cravings, insane mood swings where she'd go from being so happy that she felt on top of the world to being so devastated for no reason at all that she'd cry for hours to being so angry she'd make Billy sleep on the couch because she didn't want to see his face, and knowing that although it would be the best pain because she'd to see her baby's face at the end of it, the labor pains were going to be rough.

But what really drove Sidney crazy were the aches and pains that her body brought as the months passed. Her back and feet were so sore all the time with the added weight that she could barely move her body without feeling swollen. There were some days where she didn't even get up from her bed because everything hurt so much.

The whine that left Sidney's mouth immediately alerted Billy.

"What's wrong, Sid? Is it the baby?" He asked frantically, practically scrambling out of the chair he was sitting in to be by her side.

Sidney smiled through her discomfort at Billy's concern. Ever since she found out she was pregnant and told him, her husband had been very protective of her, even more protective than he was normally. He did everything humanly possible to ensure that she was safe and happy while she carried their child. It made her heart swell whenever he got her what she was craving, even at 2:00 am, without complaints. Billy never even protested when she'd have her emotional moments and kick him out of their bedroom, and she's known this man's temperament and rebellious streak since they were in high school.

"The baby's fine," she reassured him. "I'm just feeling a bit achy again."

"Is it your back?" He asked. He was still a bit tense, but she could see the immediate relaxation in his body when she told him that the baby was alright.

"It always is," she sighed.

Instantly Billy moved closer and turned her to the side so he could easily reach her back. Placing his hands on her shoulders, he slowly began to rub them, using gentle but firm pressure on the knots as he started there.

Sidney sighed, melting beneath his touch. She leaned against his hands as they moved down her back, still using the same pressure. A moan slipped from her mouth when he hit a particular sensitive spot.

Billy chuckled. "Does that feel good, Princess?"

"It always does," Sidney answered. "You've got magic fingers, stud bucket."

This time a laugh escaped when he opened his mouth. "Well, you've always been sensitive, baby girl," he said suggestively.

Sidney blushed hotly. "Shut up," she mumbled, earning herself another loud laugh from the man behind her.

The back massage went on for another half an hour until Sidney was so relaxed she felt like she could fall asleep. Her knots had all been worked out thanks to his loving attention, and she let her weight fall against him as her breathing slowed from satisfaction.

"Does anything else hurt?" He asked, his mouth brushing against her ear from the close proximity between their bodies.

It took her a few seconds to answer. "My feet," she finally said through the pleasurable haze in her brain.

"Lie down, baby."

It took a little while with her big stomach to lie down as well as find a comfortable position, but she managed it. Sidney reclined herself on the couch while Billy sat on the end, pulling her legs up and letting her feet rest in his lap. The first touch of his fingers digging softly into the swollen muscles of her left foot made her moan louder than she did when he was rubbing her back.

"That's it," her husband whispered in a soothing and almost hypnotic voice. "Just relax and enjoy it while I take care of you."

For the next hour Sidney fell into a calm, almost trancelike state, humming and sighing happily as he rubbed her feet, his fingertips gently pressing into every single part—her toes, the balls of her feet, the soles—and filling her with a sense of bliss.

When he finished, he rubbed her leg, moving from her ankle up to her knee and back again. "You okay?" He asked.

"Mhm," she hummed, cracking her eyes open halfway.

"Come on, baby. You need a nap and so does our little girl," Billy said, moving her legs off of him and standing up only to bend over and scoop her off the couch and into his arms, holding her head securely against his chest as he carried her bridal style upstairs to their bedroom.

"Billy…" Sidney whispered when he placed her on the bed and tucked the comforter around her body.

"Yeah, Sid?"

"Thank you for taking care of me and our daughter. I'm really lucky to have you."

A loving smile lifted Billy's lips and his eyes were soft as he gazed into her tired, half-lidded ones. He leaned down, pressing a brief but passionate kiss to her lips before pulling away.

"I'm the lucky one to have you, Princess," he replied, caressing her cheek with one hand as the other trailed down to stroke her bump. "You agreed to be my wife and you're giving me a child. That's all I need to be considered the luckiest man in the world."
