Angels POV

After Kate dropped off me and Lilly at my place, we went inside after I unlocked the door and decided to chill in the living room. I didnt turn on the TV or anything. I just sat down next to my friend. I exhaled as I relaxed into the couch, Lilly sat down silently.

"You really think Kate's gonna buy that for Rick?" Lilly asked. I laughed.

"I can totally see her doing it, how many times do you think they've gone at it?" I asked jokingly.

"Fuck, im sure even they lost count" Lilly said. We shared a laugh for a few seconds until Lilly asked a more serious question. "What was wrong with Rick today? He seemed… off" I didn't know how else to answer. So I just spat out the truth.

"He found out about the other night, '' I said. Lilly looked at me with a calm expression like she didn't believe what I just said. She then laughed for a second, hoping that I was making a joke but I didn't crack a smile. I just stared as I watched the realization sink in. Lillys smile faded completely as it was replaced with an expression of worry. "Angel… please tell me you're joking" she begged. I just slowly shook my head in response. Lilly covered her face and breathed shakily. "How did he find out?" she asked.

"When I came home last night he smelled it on me. I'm sure if Rick smelled it then Shaky smelled it too, but he never said anything" I explained.

"Is he mad at me? Oh… fuck does he hate me? I don't want to lose his trust or anything" Lilly said.

"Lilly no, no it's not like that. At first he seemed mad but… I think he was just scared, '' I explained. Lilly looked up at me and lowered her hands.

"Scared of what?" she asked.

"I think… he wanted my first time to be with someone I loved. Like we all experienced but… I didn't do that. I love Humphrey just… not like that… I feel like he thinks he's losing me as well. He wants me to live my life but sometimes… he worries he's losing me" I explained. Lilly sighed.

"I don't want to lose him… he's such a good friend, and if I hurt him… I don't know what Ill' do" Lilly said. She then turned to face me completely. "Why the hell didn't you tell me you changed your mind?" she asked. I felt a small surge of anger when she asked me.

"I tried to Lilly, you wouldn't listen. You told me that it would help me and bring us closer and all this other shit" I said. Lilly covered her face again and moaned.

"I'm sorry I didn't listen to you Angie…" Lilly said.

"Lilly its… its fine, really. I still wanted to do it, I just… I couldn't, I shouldn't have" I said. I should have controlled my desires and stood my ground with Lilly. Lilly sighed into her hands and then turned to me again.

"You know Angel… maybe i'm selfish but i'm glad we did what we did'' Lilly said. I sighed as well.

"So am I… to a certain extent, I still shouldn't have done it though I mean… I love Shaky, I have for a really long time and yet I…: I…" I hadn't really put into perspective how much I messed up. Yes I beat myself up over it alot last night, and even this morning in fact iI havnt slept. I tossed and turned all night thinking about the terrible thought of losing Shaky. I did fall asleep for about a half an hour, but during that time I had a dream. A dream that Shaky confronted me about it. He said that I didn't love him and that he hated me. He couldn't forgive me and he was hurting. I woke up in a sweat and began crying again until the sun came up ever so slightly. I got ready for school and laid in bed until I heard Rick get out of his. It was a rough night. Talking about this was so hard for me. It was hard to talk about this without at least tearing up. When I sat with Shaky at lunch he seemed fine but… I could barely look him in the eye. I needed to know that he forgave me.

"Angel?" Lilly called. I snapped out of my thoughts and realized that I had streams of tears running "are you okay?"

"Lilly…" I whispered. I then leaped over to her on the couch and started to cry into her. Lilly hugged me and rubbed my back as I cried into her chest. I hugged her back to feel comfort as I continued to cry and cry. "I… I love him… and I cheated on him… and he knows… I'm such a slut!" I yelled into my poor friend as she continued to rub me.

"Angel its… it's not your fault… It's mine. I should have never made you do that" Lilly said, trying to make me feel better.

"No. You can't take responsibility for me. Humphrey said you would feel ashamed of yourself but you shouldnt. I should have resisted, I should have told you no. I should have never gotten in that fucking car but i did and its because I wanted to, you cant take the blame here. It's not you, it's me. Its me!" I cried. I continued to cry into my friend as she held me.

"Angel… Please stop crying. I hate seeing you like this'' Lilly pleaded. I couldn't stop though, I had spent the entirety of last night keeping my cries to a quiet sob so that my parents didn't hear me, but now that it was just me and Lilly I had to let it all out. I felt my head start to ache as I cried. It didnt slow me down though. I just continued crying as my friend still held onto me. Never letting me go.

"You said it would bring us c-closer. B-b-but I feel like we're getting farther apart and I don't want to lose any of you" I cried. By this point Lillys shirt was soaked with my tears as I kept them coming. Lilly didn't mind though, she had bigger issues. Such as the wolf that she considered her best friend feeling crushed because of something she felt was her own fault. Lilly moved her arm to where it was under my chin as she hugged me tightly. It caused me to shift my head to my left and cry into the air. I sniffed before crying again.

"Angel… you'll never lose me, or Humphrey, or Rick, And I'm sure… Shaky will understand. Are you gonna tell him?" she asked.

"H-h-h-he already knows" I sobbed.

"Even so… you need to confess to him, '' Lilly said as she continued to rub my back. I cried out again as I thought of the scenario in which I told him everything. What happened, why it happened, and that it was my fault. As for why it happened I pray that he didn't see it as an excuse. I did it so I knew what to do when we did it. It wasn't a good enough excuse but it was the truth. And if he didn't believe me and wanted to never see me again then who could blame him.

"I'm such a slut" I sobbed.

"No you're not, stop saying that. You wanted to do it so that you could please him, and after you got together you tried to tell me and I didnt listen, I should have. You tried to stop it and that makes you loyal. You deserve to be happy Angel. I should have listened. If I did you never would have done it, you never would have slept with Humphrey, and you wouldn't be in this situation right now. You're not a slut, or a bad person. You're a girl with certain wants and needs and you wanted to make sure that you could fulfill those needs for not only yourself but your boyfriend as well" Lilly said. I sniffed once again.

"Rick told Kate… she knows to… I look at her like my sister and now… she must think so low of me" I said.

"No… Kates not like that, and even if she was i would make her understand but believe me, if anyone understands what its like to fulfill your sexual cravings its Kate" Lilly said. I let out a small laugh for a moment until my face fell again to its sad expression. I sniffed and then lifted my hed up to face Lilly finally.

"Thank you" I said shakily. Lilly brushed my cheek with her thumb.

"Anytime" she said with a reassuring smile. "Shaky will understand, he loves you and if you want we'll tell him together" Lilly offered.

"No… it's gotta be me, and only me. I appreciate you trying to take responsibility but I need to do it more than anyone" I said. Lilly nodded slowly.

"Okay" she whispered. I got off of her and went to sit down but my head was pounding. I put my hand over my head and groaned.

"What's wrong?" Lilly asked.

"My head… it's killing me" I said. I stood up and went to go to the bathroom. "I'll be right back," I said. I walked up the stairs and over to the bathroom to grab some pills. I fund the bottle, read the label and emptied two in my hand. I then put the bottle back and went into my room to grab one of the many water bottles that sat on my desk. I swallowed the two pills and went back downstairs to meet Lilly again. I laid on the couch and sighed.

"You okay?" Lilly asked.

"M-hm" I hummed as I closed my eyes to try and ease my pain.

"I'm glad we talked about that… after Humphrey confronted me about it, I didn't know how to bring it up with you… you're not… mad at me are you?" Lilly asked. I snickered.

"No Lilly… I could never be mad at you" I said.

"Good" she said. It was silent for a moment as I continued to keep my eyes shut. "Why don't you take a nap and I'll wake you up in thirty, sound good?" I heard Lilly offer. I nodded slowly.

"Yeah, thanks. Turn the TV on if you want I'm just gonna…" I sighed after saying my incomplete sentence. I heard Lilly shift and grab the remote but she didnt turn on the TV. I guess she was holding it in case she ran out of things to do on her phone. I was so lucky to have a friend like her. A family like mine, not just my brother and parents but Lilly, Humphrey, Kate… Shaky… I hope he can forgive me. I'll have to message him once I wake up. In the meantime though, I had to sleep off this headache and thanks to Lilly I was gonna do just that.

Ricks POV

Me and Humphrey had been christmas shopping for a little over an hour, after our argument earlier we found it nice to just go back to how things were. We grabbed some things for our girlfriends as well as other family members. Eventually we ended up eating at the food court. We both went to the same chinese restaurant. Humphrey ended up getting noodles and orange chicken while I got rice, orange chicken and teriyaki chicken. A small combination. We ate in silence for a bit. Nothing but the constant mall ambience around us. People chatting, music playing, and the slight sound of kitchen utensils as workers cooked and took orders. Eventually Humphrey spoke up to get a conversation going. His topic was a little on the nose though.

"So you're really not mad at me?" he asked. I sighed.

"Humphrey, even if I was, I would be trying to do everything to forgive you, I don't want to lose a member of my family" I explained. He nodded in response and then asked another question.

"So you really see us all as family huh?" he asked. I nodded.

"Do you?" I questioned.

"I… never really thought about it, for the longest time it was just me and my mom, when I finally met you guys though it all changed. I had close friends, and then eventually a girl friend and now we're so close that… yeah, I'd consider us a family" Humphrey explained.

"We met in the third grade right?" I asked. Humphrey took a sip of his soda and nodded.

"I believe so, I didn't meet Lilly and Kate until we were in the sixth grade, if I remember correctly they moved here from Canada and I was the first to talk to them" Humphrey explained before cracking a chuckle. "They were so shy," he smiled. I did the same.

"Yeah, I remember talking to Lilly but Kate… she made friends quick, she came around sometimes but… not around me, for some time I thought she was avoiding me but…" I was cut off when Kate sat down next to me and Humphrey, she just quickly pulled up a chair and took a seat.

"Oh my god, carrying these bags is such a bitch" Kate said as she sat them down. She then glanced at me and Humphrey, "what are you two doing here?" she asked.

"The same as you I assume" I answered. Kate smiled at my response, maybe she wanted to join us.

"Hey Kate, clear something up for us. Do you remember when you first moved here?" Humphrey asked.

"Yeah… why?" Kate asked as she rested her head on her hand.

"Well me and Rick were just talking about it and… were you avoiding him?" Humphrey asked. My heart dropped as he asked. I hope Kate didn't think I was weird or that I was talking about her behind her back. She looked at me and then back at Humphrey and then between us as she answered. Not making eye contact with either of us.

"Well… I don't really remember all that much… it wasn't until a couple months ago when I really took notice of Rick" Kate admitted. My ears instinctively dropped, Kate then put her hand over mine as if telling me that she felt bad for it. She continued talking. "But I think I was trying to meet as many people as possible. I didn't want to be an outcast… I think it was just a coincidence that he was never around. But I wish he was" Kate finished. I felt a little better now.

"Hear that Rick? She loves you" he said jokingly. We shared a short laugh and then Kate spoke again.

"Yeah… I do love him" she said as she looked at me with dream filled eyes. They were so beautiful. I placed my other hand on top of hers, sandwiching her hand in between the two of mine as we continued to get lost in each other's eyes. Humphrey just overdramatically took a bite of his chicken. We looked at him and laughed again.

"Oh Kate, are you hungry?" I asked.

"Hmm a little, what do you have there?" she asked as she eyed my food. I picked up my plastic fork again and jabbed it into one of the chicken pieces and held it to her.

"Chicken," I said. She giggled and opened her mouth and leaned forward. She didn't just take the chicken though no. she wrapped her tongue around the fork and then closed her mouth, instantly giving me a boner at the fucking food court. She pulled back, taking the piece of chicken off the fork and started chewing, wiping some hair out of her face as she did so.

"That's really good," she said as she covered her mouth.

"Did you want to share, or do you want your own? I can get you something else" I offered. Kate waved her hand slightly.

"No, no it's fine but… can I have some?" she asked.

"Of course," I said. Luckily they gave me two forks so I gave her one and slid it more towards the center of us.

"Okay… so we have a couple more stores I want to hit before we leave. Barnes and Noble for Angel and the video store for Shaky" Humphrey explained.

"Sounds fine, Kate, you joining us?" I asked. Kate picked up my soda cup and took a sip and then shook her head as she put it back down.

"Sorry but I have to work on something," she said.

"Oh yeah? Like what?" Humphrey asked. Kate turned to me and smiled. She then giggled, showing her adorable teeth as she did it. She then stood up and walked over to me.

"Well Humphrey, to answer your question I have an early Christmas gift for Rick here and I wanted to maybe… give it to him" she said seductively as she knelt down beside me. She then pressed her adorable, small, damp black nose against my nose. "Why don't you meet me at my place at seven, it should be just us two" she said.

"O-okay" I studered. She giggled before giving my tongue a deep lick. Our kiss broke with a wet smack and then she stood back up.

"I'll see you around Humphrey," she said. Humphrey waved as Kate picked up her bags and left. Humphrey then looked at me.

"Holy shit dude, you're fucking in!" he exclaimed. I pulled out my phone and read the time. 6:02 there was still time. I took the last bite of my food and stood up.

"Let's get this shopping done while we still have time," I said. Humphrey laughed as he stood up with me. Even though our time together was cut a little short, I still had a great time with Humphrey. I really hope we can do this again soon.

Angels POV

"Hey… Angel… wake up" I heard Lilly whisper in my ear as I stirred. I groaned as I opened my eyes and turned to my right. There I saw Lilly's eyes staring into mine. From the looks of it she laid down on her stomach and crawled over to me to wake me up. I smiled before rubbing the tiredness out of my eyes. I then sat up and checked my phone as Lilly went back to her original position. It was 6:12

"Lilly you said thirty minutes" I whined.

"I know, but you looked so peaceful and… I'm sure you needed the sleep. Besides, it was only thirty more minutes" Lilly explained. I groaned again and laid back down on the couch. After a moment I turned to Lilly again.

""Have you heard from Kate?" I asked.

"No but I did hear from Humphrey, he said he'll probably swing by and hang out for a bit. He'll probably take me home" Lilly answered. I nodded and then turned to look at the TV as if it was on. "Here" Lilly said as she passed me the remote. I picked it up and just stared at it.

"Thanks" I said. But I just put it back down next to me. Honestly I was enjoying the silence.

"So Humphrey said he'll pick us up something to eat if we want. Any requests?" Lilly asked. I thought about options for a moment.

"Hmm mcnuggets?" I suggested. Lilly started typing as she whispered back what I said.

"Mcnuggets," she repeated. She sent the message and put down her phone. We sat in silence for what must have been a whole two minutes before I finally said something.

"You know Lilly… I don't say this often but… I'm really glad you're my friend. I couldn't have asked for a better one. We're now to the point where I don't even see you as a friend. You're… family" I said. Lilly smiled and then giggled.

"So the sex thing worked?" she joked. I started to laugh.

"No," I smiled. She laughed again and then spoke.

"I'm really glad you're my friend to Angel… I'm so grateful we met" she admitted. I rolled over on my stomach and smiled.

"I'm really glad your sister is banging my brother, '' I said. We laughed again. Once our laughs died down Lilly asked me.

"What do you want to do until Humphrey shows up?"

"Let's go raid Rick's room for a movie or two" I suggested. Lilly stood up and followed me to my brother's room. Once we were there Lilly walked over to the shelf and started to browse but then turned her attention to the bed. "What are you doing?" I asked.

"Just checking something," she said. She lifted Rick blankets up and started brushing her fingers through the sheet and then snickered.

"What?" I asked. Lilly held up a single piece of fur. It was Rick's color though it was… "oh my god" I laughed. Lilly joined me as she held up the single strand of Kate's fur. She then put it back on the bed and put the blankets back. "They must have really been going at it" I commented. Lilly went back to browsing the movies.

"Not really. It only takes a bit or rolling around for your fur to fall out. I'm sure some of your fur is in Humphreys bed" Lilly said. I giggled as she picked out a movie. "Scream?" she asked as she held up the box.

"Sure," I said. We then went back downstairs and popped in the movie. I hit play and as the movie started Lilly spoke again.

"Us six Angel… you, me, Shaky, Kate, all of us… we'll stick together" Lilly said. I smiled as I sat back into the couch.

"I'm glad to hear that," I said. Me and Lilly then turned back to the screen as Drew Barrymore's character Casey Becker picked up the phone.
