So sorry for the long wait, also sorry for how short this capter is I was having a hard time writing so I just figuredI would post something, even if it's not that long. I'll work fast on the next chapter 3

Jade

The minutes Ava's graceful arms were wrapped around me, I felt a jolt of happiness spread through my body. I hugged her back, inhaling her cinnamon scent.

"You smell really good," I murmur without thinking.

Ava laughs, and pulls back. She laughs again at my horrified expression.

"I-I mean, it's um, really good to see you," I stutter.

Ava grins, "It's really good to see you too Lopez. "

I smile, glad she overlooked the awkward comment.

My hand lingers on her shoulder, and in a brave mood I bring it down and take her hand.

"My moms have a bunch of games on the bottom shelf, do you want to play one? Ooh I can make us iced coffee, we got a machine for christmas last year!"

Ava grins, "Ok, I'll go find a game!"

Ava and I break apart, me heading to the kitchen and her searching around for a board game for us to play. When I'm finished with the coffees, I bring one to my friend.

I sit next to her on the couch, and hand her the drink. She sips it.

"Is it good?" I ask.

Ava looks at me, "It's great."

Ava has a little bit of brown coffee right above her lip. Without thinking, I bring my thumb up and swipe at her lip, getting the coffee. We both blush, and I look at my hands.

Ava clears her throat and sets out piles of playing cards on the table. I can see she is smirking.

"So, Jade. You know how to play spit, right?"

I get on my knees in front of the table. "Yeah, Mom taught me a few months ago. Not to toot my own horn, but I'm pretty good."

Ava wiggles her perfectly arched eyebrows. "Oh I can believe that. But… no matter how good you are, I will always be great. I have been undefeated in this game for years."

I smirk, "Oh it's on."

Ava and I literally spit out the first few rounds, both of us slapping down cards and moving our hands around so fast it's unreal. Ava is really good. But so am I.

In the last five seconds, Ava puts down a two, and I slap down an Ace and a king, getting rid of all my cards and winning the game.

I thrust my fist into the air and stood up. "I beat you Ava! I beat you Ms. 'I will always be great!' Ha!"

Ava laughed, "Beginners luck."

I eye balled her, and lifted up my eyebrow. "Oh, it's on. Rematch!"

I sat back down and put my game face on. Ava smirks.

"You're competitive," she says.

"I'm Santana Lopez's daughter of course I'm competitive."

Ava grinned, and we started setting up for another round. A minute into the game, I hear a cry from upstairs.

I groan, and start to stand up. "I must have woken them with my victory dance."

Ava stands up next to me, "Maybe I can help, everyone says I'm pretty good with kids?"

"Sure," I smile, taking her hand and leading her upstairs. I point out my room, and my mom's room. When we step into the twin's room I see that Tyler is sobbing, and James is looking at me with a wide eye and a wide smile.

I sigh, "This might take a while."

I scoop Tyler out of his crib and rock him in my arms, singing to him and trying to get him to stop crying. Ava leans down by James's crib and tries to get him to lay his head down on his pillow and close his eyes. She is good with kids, she makes Jame's laugh, while still being firm about him going back to sleep. Miraculously, he lays his head back down on his pillow, but keeps his eyes wide open. By now Tyler's screaming has been reduced to a simple sniffle. Ava and I stay in the room for at least fifteen more minutes, and then finally both of the boys close their eyes and fall asleep. I look at Ava with disbelief across the room. Her mouth was frozen into a shocked little O, until she realized that we had successfully put two baby boys to sleep, and her mouth widened into a beautiful grin and she silently pumped her fist into the air. I grinned as well, and mouthed 'Good Job' to her. I tiptoed towards the door and we shut the door behind us. When we were out of proximity to the twin's room, Ava and I high fived each other for real.

"You are good with kids!" I say, nudging Ava with my shoulder. We collapse on the couch, and I pick up the remote.

Ava smiles, "You know, I never thought you could be any cuter, but girl when you started singing to that little baby-"

Ava puts a hand over her heart and feigns dying. I giggle, and try to hide my blushing cheeks. Ava and I fall into silence. We lock eyes and a smile plays on Ava's face. She's laying down on the couch, with her head resting on the armrest. Moving completely by impulse, I move myself towards her. My face is hovering over hers. She parts her lips, letting me kiss her.

The kiss feels like electricity. My entire body is on fire. We moved slowly, first kissing each other passionately but gently. Painfully, I pulled away.

"Hey Ava?" I whisper. "Will you be my girlfriend?"

Ava grins through my soft kisses. "Took you long enough," Ava giggles, gripping my back tightly.

"Well will you?"

"Of course."

Santana

"Oh hell no."

My giddy, honeymoon vibe, energy had been killed, the moment I walked into our living room to see my daughter on the couch with Ava.

Brittany clung to my waist, peppering my neck with kisses.

"Relax Love," Brittany whispers, "They're only cuddling. Plus, picture Jade's face when we wake them up in the morning."

I glared at my sleeping daughter. She was lying on top of Ava, with her head on her chest. Ava's hand was resting on her back.

"That's disgusting," I mutter. Brittany rests her head on my shoulder.

"It's cute," she corrects.

I stick my tongue out, "Too cute."

Brittany giggles and kisses me on the cheek.

"You're too cute," she giggles.

And turn and face my wife, taking her soft hands in mine. "And you," I say, kissing her nose, "Are so cheesy."

Brittany pouts, and I pull her closer. "Come on babe," Britt says, "I'm only here for one more night. Let me be cheesy."

I smile, "Go ahead, be cheesy."

Brittany takes a breath and then licks her lips.

"Are you Google?"

"What?"

"Just answer," Britt giggles.

"Okay, no I'm not Google."

"Really? Because you're everything I've been looking for," Brittany laughs. I grin in spite of myself.

"Do you like dates?"

"The fruit? No."

"What about a raisin?"

I laugh and kiss Brittany gently. "I think you got that one backwards babe."

Brittany thinks for a moment, then laughs. "Darn."

"Ok, ok, how about this one. Are you a parking ticket? Because you have fine written all over you."

She wiggles her shoulders a little, and smiles at me. I feel like I'm falling in love all over again.

Brittany spits out a few more pick up lines, and then she takes my hand, and pulls me upstairs.

Believe me, we did not waste that last night I had with Brittany.

I move around in my sleep, stretching my arm out, feeling around the bed for my wife. I pat around for a minute, before I open my eyes. The bed is empty. I'm hit by a blast of terror, it makes my stomach drop to my feet and I let out an audible gasp. Then I bite my lip and try not to giggle. I so rarely wake up without Brittany beside me, that I literally panic when she's not by my side. I sit up and wipe my eyes. Looking around the room, I shout, "Bebesita!"

When Brittany doesn't respond I pout to myself and try again. "Baby? Good morning!"

I sit in silence. Brittany, wherever she is, doesn't make a sound.

"Ay! I need my morning kisses!"

When I get no response, I groan and roll out of bed. I catch a look of myself in the mirror. My long black hair is tied up in a frizzy, messy bun, and my eyes look bloodshot and tired. I sighed but continued the search for my love anyway.

Then all of a suddenI remembered what day it was. Brittany was leaving for Mercedes today. She wouldn't leave without saying goodbye right?

A hand on my back stopped my panic fest, and I melted into my wife. I squeezed her waist and patted her blonde hair with my other hair. Kissing her cheek softly, I whispered, "I thought you had left."

Brittany pulled away, and I noticed that she already had her hair and make up done, and she was wearing a comfortable but stylish sweat suit. By the door were the suitcases we had packed the day before.

"Quinn is going to be here any minute. I really didn't want to wake you. You look so cute when you sleep. Like a little puppy with your sniffly nose and scrunched up sleepy face," Brittany explained.

"Baby!" I whined, "What about the kids? Have they said goodbye yet?"

Brittany ran her hands up and down my arms. "The boys are in the kitchen we've been getting our cuddling in all morning-"

I pout, "That should have been us!"

Brittany kisses my nose, "Shh, it's ok."

I scowl, "You should have woken me up."

Brittany pulls me into her arms, "I'll miss you too."

"Mom?" Jade came bounding down the stairs. Brittany released me and I frowned, but when I saw my wife envelope my first daughter into her arms, I fought back a smile. I loved them both so much. I couldn't resist joining the hug.

Honk honk

I gasped, tears immediately coming into my eyes. I gently maneuvered my way between my daughter and Brittany, taking her face in my hands.

"Don't go."

"I have to."

"Yeah I know," I say sadly.

"I'll facetime you every single night, and I'll text you throughout the day," Brittany smiled.

"Ok," I sniffled. Hey, I know I'm supposed to be this bad ass bitch, but I have never spent more than a night away from Brittany since we moved in with each other like a decade ago. I had no idea I was going to do it.

Quinn Fabray knocked on the door, and Brittany kissed me gently on the side of my face. Jade let Quinn in, and greeted her with a hug. Jade and Quinn had always gotten along. I didn't get it. Just because Quinn was single and hot and let you have drinks when your moms weren't looking didn't mean she was cool, but I guess it did in Jade's eyes.

Quinn smiled at Brittany and me, and Brittany moved to pick up her suitcase. I kept a protective hand on her waist, but when Brittany looked at me in that way she does, I knew I had to let her go. I shoved both of my hands in my pockets, and looked at the ground.

"I'll help you bring your stuff to the car," Jade said. Jade and Brittany carried the suitcases outside, leaving me and Quinn standing in the front hall.

I couldn't help glaring at her. Even if she's my best friend, knowing that she's about to be alone with my wife for hours, I can't help feeling like shit. Quinn seems to understand.

"Listen Santana, your wife is hot. I can't deny it and- hey, let me finish. Your wife is hot, but we've been best friends for so long and I think that little crush I had on her when I first came out was mainly in my head. Brittany is amazing, but she's more of a sister to me than anything else. Plus, she's taken, and our friendship comes before anything else."

I raise my eyebrow. Quinn sighs.

"I'm serious, no hard feelings."

I smiled slightly and pulled Quinn into a quick hug.

"Ok, but any funny business-"

"I know Santana, I know."

I watched Quinn finish putting Brittany's bags in a the car, and she took her place in the driver's seat. My wife looked at me from a distance. Her hands were clasped behind her back and kept glancing at the ground. I stepped out of the house and walked over to her. She immediately pulled me into a soft hug.

"If I look at you I'm going to cry," she said. Tears immediately surfaced in both of our eyes. When we looked at each other we started cracking up.

"I love you," I whispered, my voice cracking. Brittany giggled and kissed me on the nose.

"I love you too," she said through sobs.

"We're a mess," I laughed.

Brittany smiled and then a whole new batch of tears ran down her cheeks.

I heard the soft rrrrrr of Quinn rolling down her window. "Hey girls, we gotta get on the road."

Brittany and I said goodbye quickly, because we knew that if we tried to go any longer we would end up crying again.

Jade stood to my side as I cried and watched Brittany drive away.

I saw her roll her eyes at me. This was going to be a very long week.
