Join Thomas, Percy, James, Gordon, and all their friends in a series of the best races you'll ever see. But along the way, Diesel 10, Diesel, and some of his friends plan to do some dirty tricks to win some of the races themselves. 2. Knapford - Croven's gate

I would like to thank "cooldude542" for giving me this idea.

On a bright and sunny day, it was a very special day indeed. Up in the skies over the island, the Sodor broadcasters, Stan and Nigel, were riding in the main control room of the Sodor zeppelin.(the one from the episode "Hugo and the airship) They were seen on a screen built on the side of the zeppelin, and Nigel started speaking through his sports microphone.

Nigel: "Hello people of Sodor, and welcome to the 1st annual race of "Thomas's wacky races!" To start things off, here I am with my good friend Stan."

Stan: "Thank you Nigel, what an exciting day it is for our very first race of this big event. Dozens of engines from here and outside of Sodor will be competing in a big race across Sodor, and today's race will be going from Knapford station all the way to Crovan's gate."

Nigel: "Splendid! Without further ado, let's go over to Knapford station and introduce our racers!"

With that, the zeppelin started floating high above Knapford station where a whole bunch of engines were parked at the platforms and across the yard.

Thomas, Percy, Diesel, Donald, Douglas, Oliver, Boco, and Paxton were all parked along platform 5, and Duck, Arthur, Murdoch, Phillip, Rebecca, and Sonny were parked along platform 6.

James, Bill, Stepney, Derek, and Rosie were parked at platform 4, and Toby, Charlie, Ben, and Ryan were parked at platform 3.

Gordon, Emily, Henry, and Nia were parked at platform 1,(with Gordon at the front, obviously) and Edward Spencer, Connor, Caitlin, and Frankie were parked along platform 2.

Nigel: "My, what a magnificent bunch of engines we have here Stan."

Stan: "Indeed Nigel. But for now, let's get to something a little more important for how we actually do this event."

Nigel:(sighs) "Very well Stan. So, let's hear a few things from Sodor's great inventor: Ruth!"

With that, we see Ruth standing by the tracks coming from platform 1. Near her was a small shed, and there appeared to be a few red and gray wires hooked up to a spot on every set of tracks in the station.

Nigel: "So Ruth, how does most of this racing event work exactly?"

Ruth: "Well Nigel, I have these wires hooked up to the tracks and they're harvesting some energy right through every section of track across the entire race course."

Ruth then stepped inside the shed, and she had an extreme high-tech console up under the window facing the tracks. As Ruth went on, it was all being shown through the big screen on Stan and Nigel's zeppelin as well as the few TV screens installed at every station along the course.

Ruth: "That said energy I've mentioned is actually some electric fluids that came from some of these so called Mario/Mario kart games, I have a cousin back in America who actually plays those games."

(Screens on zeppelin and TV's show Stan and Nigel inside the zeppelin.)

Stan: "Marvelous."

Nigel: "And what stuff from these Mario games does this energy bring?"

(Screen goes back to Ruth.)

Ruth: "Let me explain."

After pushing a small red button on the console, it now shows rainbow-colored mystery boxes spinning/hovering over each track for a few spots on the main line.

Ruth: "Once an engine hits 1 of these item boxes, they automatically get to use a power up from these Mario games against another racer. What fun, am I right!?"

Nigel: "Very fun, I absolutely can't wait to see this happen."

Stan: "Yes yes Nigel, we all know you like to have your fun. So for now, let's finally introduce our most popular racers."

Nigel: "Yes, you totally read my mind. First up, the steam team!"

It shows Thomas readying his steam while parked by Percy and Duck, then he winks at the camera.

Nigel: "Thomas!"

Then it focuses on Percy feeling shy, yet triumphant.

Nigel: "Percy!"

Then it focuses on James with a determined look on his face, then he smirks at the camera in an overly handsome way.

Nigel: "James!"

Then it focuses on Gordon smiling snootily towards the camera at the front of platform 1 alongside Emily.

Stan: "Gordon."

Then the camera turns towards Emily who grins happily at the camera.

Nigel: "Emily!"

Then the camera focuses on Rebecca who was parked behind Duck, then Rebecca smiles sweetly at the camera.

Stan: "Rebecca."

Then it shows Toby softly pumping his pistons while parked beside Ryan, then he softly smiles at the camera.

Stan: "Toby."

Henry was shy at first, then he soon smiles cheerfully at the camera.

Nigel: "Henry!"

Then it focuses on Nia who was parked alongside Henry as she smiles happily at the camera.

Nigel: "Nia!"

Then it focuses on Edward who was parked alongside Connor, and then Edward smiles at the camera.

Stan: "And Edward."

Nigel: "What a cracking crew they are, but who else do we have Stan?"

Stan: "Well Nigel, we also have Spencer from the mainland."

Spencer was smiling handsomely yet snootily at his spot, but Gordon just gave a stern glare towards Spencer since he didn't trust him 1 bit.

Nigel: "Next, we have Stepney from the bluebell railway."

It focuses on Stepney parked beside Charlie and right behind Bill and Ben.

Stan: "Ya know, we've also got those 5 engines that work at the steelworks on the mainland."

First, it focused on Frankie who was parked alongside Caitlin. She wasn't sure at first, but she soon grew a little determined.

Then it focused on Hurricane parked beside a giant American engine named Sam, and he was already feeling determined.

Next it focused on Lexi and she was parked by Logan, the shunting engine.

Theo was parked around the very back, and he seemed really nervous about how well he would do.

Finally, it focused on Merlin who was also parked around the back of the pack. He didn't feel nervous at all, instead he was feeling very excited. But suddenly, he spotted Dodge and Splatter parking up alongside Murdoch softly laughing to themselves. Merlin had never met them before, but he still stared suspiciously at them.

Stan: "And I assure you, they're a great addition to this event."

Nigel: "I see…...Also, we have Duchess: the engine that carries around the queen of London!"

Suddenly, Merlin was surprised to see Duchess park alongside him. She looked a little snootily, but still happy to take part.

Stan: "Indeed, but don't forget Hugo the rail zeppelin."

Right then, Hugo smoothly pulled up alongside Steven as they were now parked right behind Connor and Frankie.

Nigel: "I say, isn't that Steven right beside Hugo? Not to brag, but isn't he too slow to be taking part in this event?"

Stan: "Oh, I'm sure Ruth has the answer to that. Ruth, tell him."

Of course, Ruth was already over by Steven ready to explain everything. While she explained, it revealed that there was a rectangular device with an antenna bolted to the front of Steven's controls.

Ruth: "Of course, Steven has this device built into his controls. It automatically helps Steven go fast enough, so he won't always come in last place."

Stan: "Excellent, now back to the introductions."

Nigel: "Ooooh, I heard we also have a diesel named Class 40 taking part as well."

When most of the engines heard this, they all softly gasped in surprise. As if on cue, they all noticed Class 40 purring up and parking behind Murdoch. He seemed rather confident, but some of the engines just felt suspicious about him.

Stan: "I say, what's the buzz about him?"

Nigel: "About 23 years ago, he came to pull a special passenger train. But in the end, he got a bowler hat stuck in his air-in tank."

Stan: "I see, so who else is there?"

Nigel: "Next up, we have Kenji from Japan!"

Just then, Kenji parked up alongside Theo. When Theo saw him, he was completely surprised.

Kenji: "Hi there."

Theo was now feeling really nervous about all this.

Stan: "Also, we have Hong Mei from China."

With that, Hong Mei pulled up behind Class 40 feeling quite cheerful.

Nigel: "Next up, Lorenzo from Italy!"

Lorenzo proudly pulled up in front of Merlin and Duchess, but Duchess didn't exactly approve of him butting in like this.

Nigel: "Oh, and this next one is another from Japan. Everyone, introducing…..Kana!"

Suddenly, a small purple and silver bullet train zipped up into view. She seemed pretty cheerful, and she couldn't wait to take part.

Kana: "Hello everyone!"

Stan: "Oh, now who might this "Kana" be?"

Nigel: "She's the newest addition to this railway, and she already appeared perfect for this. I mean, she's literally a bullet train!"

With that, Kana quickly reversed up to platform 3 and parked alongside James.

Stan: "Anyone else Nigel?"

Nigel: "Plenty, and these are the big ones. We have the world-famous engines from the great railway show!"

Over in the station yards, most of the international engines from the great railway show were parked by each other. First, it focused on Ashima.

Nigel: "Ashima from India!"

Next it focuses on Raul.

Stan: "Raul from Brazil."

Next it focuses on Axel who was giving a few snooty handsome faces.

Nigel: "Axel from Belgium."

Next was Frieda, she seemed rather snooty as well and only felt determined to win this race.

Stan: "Frieda from Germany."

Next, it focused on Gina parked right behind Ashima.

Nigel: "Gina from Italy!"

Right beside Gina, Ivan was eagerly waiting to get started with the race.

Nigel: "Ivan from Russia!"

Next, Yong bak parked up behind Gina.

Nigel: "Yong bao from China!"

Parking right underneath the coal hopper, Etienne purred up behind Ivan. Since he was being powered by a supercharged battery,(thanks to Ruth) he was now able to race along any track on the course he wanted.

Stan: "Etienne from France."

Nigel: "And let's not forget…...Shane from Australia!"

But instead of parking in the yards, he parked alongside Donald and Douglas.

Frieda: "Shane, what the Scott are you doing over there!?"

Shane: "Just finding something new."

Frieda just rolled her eyes, then continued about her business.

Stan: "Say Nigel, isn't there supposed to be 1 more of them?"

Nigel: "Not sure, but we'll worry about that later. And now, for the engine we've all been waiting for…..The Flying Scotsman!"

Gordon grew a shocked look of complete horror, the Flying Scotsman was parking ahead of everyone else in the race.

Gordon: "Hey, what's the big idea brother!?"

The Flying Scotsman: "Oh relax little brother, I'm aloud to do this because of how famous I am."

Gordon: "I am not your little brother!"

Stan: "Alright now with those introductions out of the way, let's get to-

But suddenly out of nowhere, all the engines spotted a large swirling wisp of gold dust appear somewhere in front of the station.

Nigel: "Oh, wait! Hang on everybody, I just forgot we have 1 more special engine taking part in this event."

Feeling confused by what Nigel meant, the engines continued watching the wisp. But as the wisp slowly faded away, the engine within the wisp revealed to be…..

Nigel: "Lady the gold dust engine from the magic railroad!"

Thomas: (overjoyed gasp)

While everyone was impressed, Lady slowly reversed into the station and parked alongside James. When she looked towards her right side, she saw Thomas widely smiling at her.

Thomas: "Hey Lady!"

Lady: "Hello Thomas, long time no see."

Thomas was now feeling even more excited, the event just got a little more interesting.

Nigel: "Alright, now we can start getting things under way."

Meanwhile at the very back of the pack, the last 2 racers were working on something mischievous. Those last 2 racers were none other than Diesel 10 and Vinnie, and they already had a devious plan to help them win the race.

Vinnie had the jet engine coupled up behind him, and Diesel 10 was beside it checking the controls.

Vinnie: "Uhh Diesel 10, are you sure this thing is safe?"

Diesel 10: "Quiet Vinnie, do you want us to win or not!?"

Vinnie: "Yes, but we don't just go messing with giant rocket-booster wagons!"

Diesel 10: "Relax, this contraption is just the ticket to get us far enough ahead of everyone to win this race without fuss."

Vinnie: "Okay, if you say so."

Meanwhile, all the other engines were ready and raring to start the race. Ruth walked out in the middle of the station's front yard holding 2 large green flags.(1 in each hand) she stopped and turned to face the engines, then she spread her flags outward on each side. She crouched down a little ways…...and then jumped into the air while waving the flags around.

With that, all the engines rapidly sped off out of the station grounds on their way to Crovan's gate.

Stan and Nigel:(in unison) "And we are under way!"

The engines all pushed their way out from the yards and onto the main course, Percy and Donald even battled for 6th place for a moment.

From the far back, Vinnie could clearly see that the race had already started.

Vinnie: "While we're young Diesel 10, the race is already starting!"

Diesel 10 quickly flipped a lever on the jet engine to "on," and then switched onto Vinnie's track and buffered up in front of him. After a few seconds, the jet engines booster started firing up and shooting red fire out of its back. Before they knew it they suddenly shot forward through the station faster than you could say "wow."

Out ahead on the tracks, Gordon was already taking the lead. It was being shown on the zeppelin's screen, then it showed him approaching the first item box segment.

Nigel: "Gordon is already taking the lead, and he's just approaching the first round of item boxes! Whew boy, can't wait to see how this thing works!"

Gordon sped right through 1 of the item boxes as it shattered when made contact, and it showed a cube-like spinner above him.

and he gets….. the bob-bomb.

Gordon: "A bomb with legs?"

Suddenly a square hatch opened at the back of his tender, and the bomb from the spinner picture fell out and landed on the tracks behind him.

Stan: "Looks like Gordon has gotten the classic Bob-bomb, how surprising."

Gordon: "Oh well, as long as it keeps me in the lead."

Just then, Bill suddenly came puffing through another item box and sped past Gordon taking the lead.

Bill: "Oh dear Gordon, losing your puff already?"

Gordon: "Grrrrr."

The spinner spun above Bill, and he got….. the single red shell.

A red turtle shell popped up in the hand of Bill's driver, and he tossed it behind him. The red shell shot back down the track towards Gordon who shouted in alarm, then it hit him causing Gordon to get slightly derailed.

Class 40 purred past and just laughed at Gordon's misery.

Class 40: "Ha-ha, some racer you are Gordon!"

Gordon just groaned in misery, then Derek rolled up beside him.

Derek: "It's okay Gordon, I'll help you to the next repair spot."

Gordon smiled at Derek knowing he still had a chance at winning this race.

Stan: "Tough break for Gordon, thanks to that red shell from Bill."

Nigel: "Cranky, some of those Mario power ups can be pretty nasty sometimes."

Stan: "Right, well the rest of the race seems to be going pretty smoothly so far."

Nigel: "Wait! Hang on Nigel, I see something coming through fast."

Suddenly, it showed Diesel 10 and Vinnie speeding past a few of the racers with the jet engine. They passed Splatter, then Duck, then Spencer, and then Henry.

Stan: "Oh my, it looks to be the other 2 competitors of this event: Diesel 10 and Vinnie."

Nigel: "Hey, I knew we were missing someone from the international engines! But apart from that, what are they doing with the jet engine?"

Stan: "From what I see, it seems that they're trying to rocket their way into the lead."

Nigel: "But with these upcoming power ups in this event, we have no choice but to allow it."

Back in the race, Logan and Phillip were excitedly battling for 5th place. But all of a sudden, Diesel 10 and Vinnie shot past them.

Phillip: "What the- Hey!"

The 2 bullies continued rocketing along the line, but Vinnie was starting to grow more concerned.

Vinnie: "Diesel 10, I think we can slow down now!"

Diesel 10: "No, not until we're far ahead of these losers!"

Vinnie growled at this, but then he saw something on the tracks ahead. With closer inspection, it was the bomb that Gordon had left.

Vinnie: "Bomb! a bomb, watch out!"

Vinnie slammed on his breaks, but it was too late. With a "BOOM," the bomb exploded sending Vinnie off the tracks and Diesel 10 falling on his side. The jet engine crashed a little further away, and then it exploded itself. Luckily nobody was hurt, but both Diesel 10 and Vinnie felt rather bashed and busted from the explosion. Diesel 10 used his claw to push himself up and back onto the tracks, then he looked over at Vinnie who was still derailed.

Diesel 10: "Blasted bombs, should've seen that coming."

Vinnie: "Ugh, just help me back on the stupid tracks already!"

Diesel 10: "Okay, hold still."

Back in the race, the Flying Scotsman was already up in 3rd and still trying to catch up with Derek who had been towing Gordon to have him get fixed.

The Flying Scotsman: "My, I'm surprised Gordon has already gotten so far ahead. Well, I just hope my little brother doesn't get himself into trouble."

But unknown to Scotsman, Gordon had already gotten into trouble. But soon enough, he came to the next item box segment and sped through 1 of the item boxes.

The spinner appeared above him, and he got…... the ice flower.

Suddenly, Scotsman's funnel, smokebox, smokescreens, and front buffers turned light blue with the letters FS in bold white on each of his smokescreens. He turned on his lamps, and 1 of them suddenly shot a ball of ice at a small tree trapping it in a large ice cube.

The Flying Scotsman: "Woah, now this should come in handy."

Suddenly, Hong Mei also sped through an item box and right past the Flying Scotsman.

Hong Mei: "Coming through, I'm number 1!"

The spinner sun above Hong Mei, and she got…. the propeller mushroom.

A dark blue helmet appeared around Hong Mei's smokebox with her funnel sticking out the top, and a yellow propeller appeared attached to the top of her dome. Suddenly, she started flying up off the tracks like a helicopter. Hong Mei was completely stunned, she was already up so high that she started to feel giddy.

Hong Mei: "Oh my, this is amazing!"

As she flew ahead, she was already overtaking Derek and taking the lead. Once she was a slight distance ahead, she came back down onto the tracks as the helmet and propeller disappeared. After that, she confidently continued on her way as she was now approaching the Sodor suspension bridge.

Suddenly she heard a whistle coming from behind her, she looked back to see that it was James rocketing towards her. To make things more surprising, he had also gotten an item spinner.

And he gets…. the fake item box.

A hatch opened at the back of James's tender, and a red and black glowing item box was left on the tracks behind him. James saw this, and he felt rather confused about it.

James: "What the….."

A ways back down the course at Crosby station, Gordon was sitting in the siding getting fixed after Derek had dropped him off there. But on the bright side, he had a good feeling they were almost done.

Gordon: "Hurry up, I can't afford to lose this race!"

Just then, Emily puffed up with Bill coupled up behind her. She reversed into the siding where Gordon was, then she shunted Bill right beside him.

Emily: "Hey Gordon, thought I'd give you a little company while you're here."

With that, Emily quickly puffed away to continue the race. Gordon looked over at Bill suspiciously, he still remembered what happened earlier.

Gordon: "Well Bill, care to explain what that red turtle shell was for?"

Bill: "Oh bug off Gordon, it's all part of the game!"

Gordon: "If you hadn't thrown that turtle shell at me, I wouldn't even be here and I'd still be in the lead!"

Bill: "Whatever, you can continue whining once you finish getting repaired."

With that, Gordon just slumped and continued waiting to get fixed. But while he waited, Thomas and Splatter both sped past battling for the next placement.

The item spinner was spinning for Splatter, and he got…... the fire flower.

The purple base around Splatter's head suddenly turned white with the letter S in bold red on each side, then he waited until Thomas was far enough ahead of him. He unexpectedly shot a small fireball from 1 of his little lanterns at Thomas, and it sent him skidding off the tracks until he came to a complete stop.

Splatter: "Ha-Ha! So long, blue puffball!"

After Splatter sped out of sight, Thomas just gave a pouty look and stayed sitting where he was. Then, he looked over at Gordon and Bill who had watched the whole thing.

Thomas: "Not a word."

Meanwhile, Hong Mei had gotten another item box while going across the fenland bridge.

And she got…...the triple banana peel.

Her driver and fireman had gotten 3 banana peels with a smiley face on it each, then they tossed them on the tracks of the fenland bridge behind them. Soon enough, she approached Gordon's hill.

Nigel: "Looks like Hong Mei has a huge lead now!"

Stan: "Yes Indeed, she's got this in the bag. But aside from that, the race is still far from over."

Hong Mei huffed and puffed up the hill, then there was trouble. Hong Mei suddenly heard 1 of her valves burst, and she slowed down until she came to a stop halfway up the hill.

Nigel: "Oh no, major valve-burst for Hong Mei!"

Hong Mei: "Oh phooey, too much high speeds!"

Now, all Hong Mei could do was wait for someone to come by and help her.

Meanwhile, Diesel 10 and Vinnie were waiting in the yards at Wellsworth station. Gordon was busy getting photographs from the passengers at the platforms, and Diesel 10 was using his claw to set up a trap.

Nigel: "Well, looks like Diesel 10 and Vinnie are up to 1 of their old tricks."

Diesel 10: "Yes, Indeed we are.(to Vinnie) Now Vinnie, remember the plan?"

Vinnie: "Uhh, no. Sorry, I was too busy watching that big blue whale get snaps."

Diesel 10:(groans) "When Gordon starts coming out of the station, you press this button that sets off the detonator."

On the tracks in front of Vinnie was a red button, and that said button was wired to a detonator that was placed all the way out onto the tracks right outside the station.

Diesel 10:(chuckles evilly) "When Gordon puts at least 1 wheel over that detonator, he'll get blown off the tracks sky high!"

Suddenly, they could see Nia speeding into the station.

Diesel 10: "Quick, get ready with the detonator!"

With that said, Vinnie slowly—yet quickly—moved forward over the detonator switch. Unfortunately, Vinnie was too late and Nia sped right through the station and passed Gordon without trouble. The explosion still went off, startling Gordon and the passengers a bit.

Diesel: "Darn it Vinnie, you were too late to blast her!"

Suddenly, they heard Sonny's whistle. And to make matters worse, Sonny quickly sped through before Vinnie could even react with the switch.

Vinnie: "Uhh…."

Completely losing it, Diesel 10 bonked his claw against his forehead a couple times.

Diesel 10: "Pinchy you know I hate it when you do this, but I'll have to accept it this time!"

Nigel: "Uhh, we'll come back to these 2 later."

Nigel: "Let's take a look around the back of the pack, what do ya see Stan?"

Stan: "Well Nigel, we can see that Toby, Sam, Hugo, and Rebecca are doing their best to stay within the lot no matter what."

Near the back of the pack, Toby, Sam, Hugo, and Rebecca definitely were doing their best to keep up with the others.

Hugo: "You'll never beat me Rebecca, I'm much too fast for you!"

Rebecca: "Haha, we'll see about that!"

Sam was keeping pace right behind them, but he could also see that Toby was having a harder time doing so.

Sam: "Come on Toby, you can do it! The sooner we catch up with the others, the bigger chance we have at winning this race."(blows his whistle)

Toby:(panting) "I'm coming,(breathes uneasily) Sodor engines never give up."

With that, Toby pumped his pistons and quickly raced after Sam and the others.

Meanwhile, Diesel 10 and Vinnie were now waiting in the sidings over by Maron station. Yet again they were still up to no good, but this time they had a few troublesome trucks parked in front of them.

Nigel: "Well well well, looks like these 2 baddies are plotting another plan.(to Diesel 10 and Vinnie) Whatcha doing now guys?"

Diesel 10: "Well Nigel Sir, it's simple. When the next engine comes in, we biff these trucks right at them."

Vinnie: "Then we can finally get a good enough head start from them all!"

Stan: "Well you do know that Phillip, The Flying Scotsman, and Etienne are already out in front, right?"

Diesel 10: "Oh who cares, we'll still try and stop the rest of them."

Suddenly, they heard a loud and distant whistle.

Vinnie: "Alright, time to take action."

The engine that whistled was Douglas, and he was puffing towards the station as fast as his wheels could carry him.

Douglas: "Wow, I cannot believe I'm already so far ahead. Also, I hate to leave my brother so far back there."

When Douglas started emerging into the station, Diesel 10 and Vinnie realized it was now or never.

Diesel 10:(softly cackles) "Time to derail this Scottish dweeb."

Suddenly, they saw that Derek had been left in the siding next to them after Etienne had brought him there.

Derek: "Ya know guys, I'm not sure if the judges will approve of you guys doing stuff this reckless."

Diesel 10 just used his claw to grab a dark green tarp that was lying nearby and cover Derek with it, now Derek's words were too muffled for anyone to understand.

Diesel: "Alright now with "old smarty-pants" out of the way…...LET EM RIDE!"

With that, Vinnie shunted his line of trucks onto the main station tracks and Douglas ended up crashing right into them.

Luckily nobody was hurt, but Douglas felt both dizzy and dumbfounded about what had just happened.

Douglas: "Oye, who be doing that rumbling and tumbling at me!?"

Just then, Diesel 10 and Vinnie started coming out of the sidings so they could move on with the race.

Diesel 10: "That would be us, but we gotta go now."

Vinnie: "Yeah, see ya at the finish line loser!"

With that, Diesel 10 and Vinnie sped off down the tracks leaving Douglas sulking in his crashed spot.

Douglas: "Ugh, the indignity."

He quickly made sure Gordon wasn't around to hear that.

A little ways up the line, Bertie the bus was waiting at a level crossing. He waited until The Flying Scotsman sped through the crossing, and then he started making his own way across. But suddenly, Vinnie came in and plowed right through the crossing. The entire crossing gate was destroyed, and Bertie was left slowly spinning upside and stopped with a really dizzy look on his face. But once he shook it off, he was very cross.

Bertie: "Hey!"

Next, Diesel 10 sped through. Once he came past Bertie, he used his claw to make Bertie start spinning again.

Diesel 10: "Out of the way you red tin can, we've got a race to win!"

A good ways back, Shane was just starting to catch up with Spencer, Ryan, Ashima, and Duchess. Ashima was ahead, but Spencer, Ryan, and Duchess were battling for the following placement. Suddenly, Shane sped through another item box.

And he gets….. the hammer.

A thin mechanical arm appeared out of Shane's front bumper, and it was holding a small sledgehammer. He looked towards Ashima, then he started hesitating.

Shane: "Sorry about this Ashima."

With that, the mechanical arm tossed the hammer towards Ashima. The hammer bonked her on the side of her boiler, and it suddenly caused her to get derailed.

Shane sped right past Ashima with Spencer, Ryan, and Duchess following close behind, and Ashima was left sulking in her derailed spot.

Ashima: "Oh phooey, not my day."

The Flying Scotsman sped past the ice cream factory, and Vinnie came up close afterwards feeling a bit out of breath.

Vinnie:(panting) "I'll…..get…..you…..Scotty!"

Suddenly, Vinnie came to a complete stop right by the ice cream factory.

Vinnie: "Drat, he's too fast for me."

Suddenly, he looked over at the factory and his face lit up. But it wasn't about wanting ice cream himself, he had an idea for another devious plan. When Diesel 10 rolled up alongside him, he was confused about what Vinnie had on his mind.

Diesel 10: "Uhh Vinnie, what are you doing?"

Vinnie: "Hang on, I'm getting an idea."

A few minutes later, Diesel 10 and Vinnie were in position in 1 of the sidings. They had found a generator, and now they had it bolted to the top of a small flatbed. There was also a vacuum hose attached to the front of it, but Diesel 10 still had no idea what it was gonna do.

Diesel 10: "So Vinnie, what's your plan exactly?"

Vinnie: "You see Mr. 10, this generator shoots ice cream out of its hose. We shoot it at the other racers, and they'll be too sticky to even go any further!"

Diesel 10: "Vinnie, that's crazy!...I like it."

Suddenly, they heard Gordon coming.

Vinnie: "Quick, get into position!"

Once they tuckered into their positions, they could see Gordon speeding along the line towards them.

Gordon: "Express coming through!"

Diesel 10: "Alright, time to "cream" this blue whale."

With that, Diesel 10 used his claw to press a large red button on the back of the generator. But for some strange reason, the generator didn't turn on.

Vinnie: "Well, aren't you gonna shoot him!?"

Diesel 10: "I can't, there's something wrong with this stupid machine!"

Next, Diesel 10 tried rapidly—and repeatedly—hitting the button trying to make it work. But it was too late, Gordon had already sped past to Vinnie's dismay. But somehow, Diesel 10 kept hitting the button anyway. Suddenly, the generator started violently vibrating.

Diesel 10: "Uhh, what's happening?"

For a few more seconds, the generator started vibrating even more violently. Suddenly, the vacuum hose started swaying back and forth shooting ice cream and cones everywhere.

Vinne: "Ahh, stop that thing!"

Diesel 10: "How, this was your crappy plan!"

Suddenly, the hose started shooting ice cream at them. Before they knew it, they were covered from bumper to roof in sticky ice cream. Aside from that, they both looked downright cranky.

Diesel 10: "Worst…..scheme….ever."

Vinnie looked nervously over at Diesel 10.

Vinnie: "Soooooo…..back to the race-

Diesel 10 just angrily smacked Vinnie in the side of his boiler, then he rolled off down the tracks. Vinnie felt bad for causing this, then he just simply.

Vinnie: "Let's just hope too many of the other engines haven't already gotten ahead of us."

Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

At Crovan's gate, a whole mob of people were cheering at the platforms near the finish line. Stan and Nigel were there too to broadcast what was happening, and they could already see some of the engines coming.

Nigel: "Hello again everyone, we're finally coming to the final stretch of the race!"

Stan: "Indeed Nigel, and some of the engines are already coming in."

Nigel: "Yes Indeed. Here they come-Oh look, Gordon's out in front!"

As he was right, Gordon came approaching the station with Henry and James close behind him. The Flying Scotsman had started running low on water, so he had to stop at a water tower to get refilled.

As the crowd continued cheering, Gordon sped through the station and across the finish line.

Nigel: "We're coming to the finish line, and it's Gordon: the winner!"

Next, Henry crossed the finish line.

Nigel: "Henry is gonna come in second!..."

And then, James sped across while giving a couple smirks towards the crowd.

Nigel: "...And James is third!"

Next, Duchess crossed the finish line. Followed by Rebecca, then the Flying Scotsman, then both Connor and Caitlin, then Thomas, then Percy, Phillip, Axel, Merlin, Hong Mei, Sam, Arthur, Frieda, Sonny, Donald and Douglas, Bill and Ben, Spencer, Lady, Paxton…

Edward, Toby, and Steven then came through at the exact same time.

Then Hugo, Ryan, Hurricane, and Nia. The rest of the racers were still on their way.

Soon enough, Diesel 10 and Vinnie arrived. But they stopped when they saw all the engines that had already crossed the finish line, and boy was Diesel 10 mad.

Diesel 10: "Vinnie, this is the final straw. I am going to move so far away that I will be able to brag about it. I would rather tear out my main engine cord, carry it into the middle of the nearest 4-track main line and skip rope with it. Then, go on living where I am now."

Vinnie just stared dumbfounded at Diesel 10's words.

Vinnie: "And your point is…

Diesel 10: "I'm starting to think that your little ice cream scheme actually cost us the race!"

Vinnie: "Relax Diesel 10, I'm sure we'll have better luck in the next race."

With that, Diesel 10 just quietly growled in fury. Suddenly, Stepney came steadily puffing by towards the finish line.

Stepney: "Bluebells forever!"

Diesel 10 and Vinnie just looked over at each other with confused looks, then towards the camera with the same feeling.
