Shaky's POV

After shutting Angel's bedroom door I made my way down the stairs. I hope Rick isn't mad at me. As I walked down I noticed that he wasn't in the living room but instead in the kitchen. I walked in to awkwardly greet him. When I did he was eating a bowl of cereal. And from the smell of him,, he and Kate had a real fun time.

"Hey Rick," I said awkwardly. Rick looked up from his bowl and met my eyes.

"Hey" he said.

"You're not mad at me are you?" I asked. The answer I got surprised me.

"No, Shaky, I'm not mad. I wanted it to happen, did you and Angel talk?" he asked me. I hesitated.

"Yeah… we did," I answered. Rick put his bowl down on the counter and turned back to face me.

"So from what I saw up there you forgive her?" he asked. I simply nodded. Rick broke eye contact and nodded. He then looked up at me again. "Thank you… she loves you Shaky… a lot" Rick told me. I laughed.

"Yeah, I know. I love her too, she's really good at doing that by the way" I said.

"Hey, don't push it, '' Rick joked. We laughed lightly. Rick then hit my shoulder firmly. "Welcome to our family," he said. It warmed my heart to hear that.

"Thank you," I said. Rick nodded.

"I'm not just talking about this family. I mean the one with me, Kate, Lilly… and Humphrey'' Rick said. Humphrey… I hadn't really thought about it but he had sex with Angel… I wasn't mad but… I couldn't help but feel a type of way.

"Thank you Rick, it means a lot, '' I said. Our group never really had serious moments like this. Which was good I guess. To me it meant that we could always joke around and be happy. Especially to me, everyone always saw me as a jokester which I'll admit I kind of liked but I had my serious moments as well where I would try and be genuine. This was one of those moments. After I thanked Rick I held my hand out to shake his. Rick accepted and grabbed my hand firmly and then shook it.

"You'll treat her right, I know you will," he said.

"I promise" I said, I then let go of his hand. "Alright, I should head out," I said.

"Drive safe" Rick said as he went back to his cereal. I waved as I walked out of the kitchen and over to the door. I stepped out into the night and was immediately hit with the freezing cold. I shivered as I ran to my car. I jumped in and started it up and made sure the heat was blasting. Of course I had to go through the period where it shot out cold air at first but it was worth it in the end. I breathed into my hands and then put the car in reverse and backed out of the driveway. As I left I noticed Ricks parents were still not home, they must really work late. That's a good thing though, if Angie's mom or dad walked in I don't think it would have gone so smoothly. A seventeen year old having sex with their fifteen year old daughter. I'd be out on my ass.

I pulled into my driveway and began walking to my house. It was a nice trailer home where me and my dad lived. It was small but cozy. I actually liked it. I walked in on my dad cleaning up the kitchen. When I entered he looked over at me.

"Hey Shaky, where have you been?" Dad asked.

"Angel's" I answered.

"Rick's sister right?" he asked.

"Yeah, Rick's sister," I answered.

"I made some chili earlier, want some?" Dad asked.

"Sure," I said. Dad grabbed a bowl and poured some of his famous Texas chili as I grabbed a can of root beer out of the fridge. He sprinkled some shredded cheese on it and then stuck a spoon in the bowl and slid it over to me. "Thanks dad" I said.

"No problem, just clean up when you're done. I'm turning in for the night so I'll see you tomorrow morning" he said.

"Goodnight" I said.

"Night son" dad said as he walked to his bedroom which was right behind the kitchen. Mine was on the other side of the trailer. It came in handy whenever I was playing video games late at night and I got pissed off at them. I brought my food to the living room which connected to the kitchen and sat down. I turned on the TV and put on adult swim where Aqua teen was playing. I cracked open my soda and began to eat. As always I took moments where I looked away from the TV to stare around the room. It sat so still. It had been almost four years since mom died. The house never felt the same ever since. My mom's family still showed up from time to time around the holidays but it was mostly to see me. It was nice of them and I could appreciate it. I'll never forget the night my mom walked in and asked me to take a break from the game for a moment. I did as she said and she sat me on the bed along with my dad.

"Shaky you know mommy loves you, and she'll always be with you. No matter where she is" mom said. I looked over at dad who was staring down at the floor. He didn't make eye contact with either of us. I turned to mom and started to feel worried.

"Mom? What are you talking about?" I asked.

"I… you know I would never leave you by choice. I want to stay with you as long as I can, you're my baby and I love you more than anything in the world" mom said. I started to tear up as I put the pieces together. The hospital visits, the way mom started to cough and have less and less energy, the way she asked me to step out of the room one time when the doctor came in and said he had test results. And now she sat next to me on my bed with my dad, making sure that I knew for a fact that she loved me.

"Mom… please don't tell me…" I begged.

"The doctor called me today and… told me that I had pancreatic cancer… I didn't want to tell you but…" mom started to cry. "Shaky I love you so much" she sobbed. I started to cry as well, she didn't have to tell me what I already knew. I hugged her tightly as my dad continued to sit next to me. He had his eyes closed tight as he tried so desperately not to cry as well.

"Please don't leave me mom" I cried into her.

"Oh sweetie I won't… I'll never leave you, even when you can't see me I'll always be with you" she told me. Those words echoed through my head every single night. I'll always be with you. I rubbed the tear out of my eye as I snapped out of my memory. Those last three weeks were some of the hardest I had ever had to suffer through. Mom tried to live but by the time her cancer was found it was too late, all treatment did was delay her death. She started out the same but as time went on she simply got weaker and weaker. It got to the point where hospital visits were out of the question. She had to stay there to get as much help as possible. It didn't matter though. During her last week I would visit her. She was too weak to talk and simply wheezed out words so low that I couldn't hear what she said. She gave up on talking and just answered to yes or no questions with weak nods. I'll never forget the last time I saw her. It was late at night and dad told me it was time to go. This was before I had my car, if it wasn't for that I don't think I ever would have left. I did hear the last words she ever said to me. I told her to sleep well to which she responded.

"Good night" it was weak, but I could understand it. I gave her forehead a kiss and left. When I woke up the next morning I heard my dad call my name.

"Shaky… shaky…" he called. I heard him as he ran into my room with teary eyes. I simply stared at him as I prepared myself to hear what I already knew. "Your mother is gone" he said,

"What?" I asked surprised even though I knew what was coming. I knew the second I heard him call my name. He simply nodded as he began to cry. We spent the next twenty minutes sitting on the bed.

"You know she loved you right?" he asked me.

"Yeah dad I know, I know" I said frantically. This was the worst day of my life. During the funeral Rick, Humphrey, Lilly, and Salty had come to pay their respects.

"We're so sorry" Lilly said as she placed a hand on my shoulder. I didn't respond. I just shut my eyes as I tried not to tear up. It didn't work and I began to sob as the casket was lowered into the ground. Lilly hugged me from behind as my other friends gathered around me. I'm not sure what was harder. Hearing the news that my mom had died, or watching her get lowered into the ground. Those words echoed in my head again. I'll always be with you.

I finished cleaning the bowl and then dried it with the towel on the stove and put it back in the cabinet. I then turned off the TV and lights. I made my way to my room where I undressed and walked to the bathroom. I hopped in the shower and began to wash myself. My Dad and I had definitely gotten closer since mom died. Before he felt distant but now I was all he had apart from my grandparents and such. He never argued or got into fights. It was almost always smooth sailing. Although the first month after mom's death was rough. We didn't talk to each other for awhile, none of us coming out of our rooms. The only time I would ever eat was when either Rick or Humphrey dragged me out of the house, sometimes they would even door dash me and my dad food. I was so lucky to have them as friends. It was awkward at first but me and dad eventually started coming around. Sure things weren't the same and they never would be but they were better and that's all I cared about.

I turned off the shower after I was done washing my hair and stepped out to dry off. I grabbed my towel and used it before hanging it back up and walking to my room quickly. The bathroom was right next to me so it didn't take but a second. I put on a whit T-shirt and boxers and then climbed into my water bed. This thing was awesome. I turned my lamp off and made sure my phone was next to my pillow so that I could hear its alarm in the morning and then shut my eyes and fell asleep after about an hour of tossing and turning. I really shouldn't have slept that long earlier. But it was worth it. Angel was so tight and loving. I could wait to have sex with her again but with me doing the heavy lifting. I loved that girl so much.

When I woke up to my alarm going off I hit snooze once and then got up once it went off again. I sat up and rubbed the tired out of my eyes and slid out of bed. I went and took my morning piss and brushed my teeth. Next thing to do was get ready. As I did I could smell bacon cooking. Fuck yeah. I walked over to the kitchen and greeted my dad.

"Morning Shaky. Sandwich?" he asked.

"Hell yeah dad, thanks" I said. My dad got an English muffin and put some bacon and eggs in between it and then handed it to me. I accepted it happily and took a bite out of it.

"So that Angel girl, is that your girlfriend?" dad asked. Shit, did he smell the sex on me last night?

"Yeah, she's a sweetheart, you'll love her" I said.

"I'm sure, Ricks a nice guy and I'm sure his sister's the same," Dad said as he started cleaning up.

"You'll meet her soon, dad" I promised.

"Looking forward to it, alright you best be heading off to school" dad said. I nodded and headed out.

"Later dad" I said.

"Bye Shaky" he called. I walked out the door and shut it. I didn't lock it because I knew he would be heading off to work soon. He ran his own auto shop so he had to be there bright and early almost every day. I would sometimes work there and help him which is how I earned my money. It was always satisfying to work on cars. At least to me, it taught me a lot of things. Speaking of cars I sat in mine and turned it on, blasting the heat once again. It was even colder in the morning than it was at night. I defrosted my windshield as I finished my sandwich, listening to music as I waited. Once I was done I quickly sucked my fingers and drove off to school. When I got to the school and pulled in I noticed that it was only Kate, Humphrey and Lilly. I parked next to Kate's car and hopped out, approaching the three.

"Hey guys, Rick and Angel not here?" I asked.

"Not just yet, should be here any minute though" Kate said. Just then Rick's truck pulled in and parked next to my car. Angel hopped out and greeted us as Rick walked around the truck. Angel gave me a kiss on the lips as Rick greeted everyone.

"Sorry, we had to take turns with the shower this morning," Angel said.

"Couldn't come to school smelling like sex" Rick added as he kissed Kate, I feel like he went for a peck on the lips but Kate turned it into tongue warfare as always. He was a lucky guy.

"Bells about to ring, we should get inside" Lilly said. We all agreed and started making our way inside. I kissed Angel goodbye and then went to my homeroom. Like usual I didn't see her again until lunch time rolled around. Once it came I took my usual seat after grabbing my food. Angel sat next to me and greeted me.

"Hey Shakes," she said.

"Hey Angie" I smiled. We gave each other a kiss and then started to eat, well I did anyway. Angel wanted to talk about last night.

"My brother didn't give you a hard time last night did he?" she asked.

"No, he's actually happy for us," I explained.

"Really? I did not expect him to be so cool about it, that was great by the way" Angel said. I chuckled and gave her another kiss. "Did I make you feel good?" Angel asked.

"Amazing," I answered. Just then Kate and Rick sat down. Rick rested his hand on his head as Kate began eating. I was about to ask what was wrong but Lilly beat me to it as she sat down with Humphrey.

"Something wrong Rick?" she asked.

"My balls are killing me," Rick said, making us all laugh. Kate rubbed his arm and smiled.

"Aww it's okay, you're just refilling for me" Kate said.

"Gross," I said. Kate flipped me off with a smug smile. I laughed.

"Okay so final plans, what's everybody doing on friday?" Lilly asked.

"Probably chilling with Angie" I answered.

"Just chilling huh?" Kate asked.

"Just chilling," Angel answered. I turned to her and smiled.

"Well me and Kate are still up for it so you'll definitely see us there" Rick said.

"Looking forward to it," Lilly smiled.

"So how's everyone's Christmas shopping going? Everyone almost done?" Kate asked.

"I'm pretty much done," Angel said.

"I got everything I need," Lilly answered.

"Same" Humphrey added.

"Yeah, I almost got everything, just need a few more things, what about you Kate?" I asked.

"Uhh, I'm waiting for one or two things to come in the mail but other than that, I'm pretty much done" Kate answered. She then turned to Rick and then her sister and then back to the center of the table. "I hope I do alright, this is the first time i had to shop for this many people" she said.

"Dont worry about it, we're all just happy to see that you care so much" Rick said. They gave each other a kiss and then Angel tapped my shoulder.

"So I actually have a plan for tomorrow night" she said quietly.

"Oh yeah? What's up?" I asked.

"Well… I was thinking maybe you show me your house and… do the heavy lifting" Angel said. I smiled and then lifted her head up to peck her on the lips. They were so small and warm. I could kiss them all day. I closed my eyes and got a little too into the kiss. There were no tongues but her damp lips were just too irresistible. Angel broke the kiss and giggled.

"Excited much?" she asked. I laughed nervously.

"Hey Shaky, you doing anything later?" I heard. I turned in the direction I heard the voice and met eyes with Humphrey… Humphrey.

"No… I'm just chilling at home most likely, why?" I asked.

"Well I thought we could hang out… it's been awhile" he said. I nodded.

"Okay" I said. Humphrey smiled and started talking to Lilly about something. I wasn't sure what but Angel turned my attention to her again.

"Hey, I can see your kind of tense about the whole Humphrey thing, are you sure it's not too soon?" Angel asked.

"Yeah Angie I'm sure, I cant prolong this, I think that's what he wants to talk about anyway, I'm sure it will be fine we just need to discuss things" I said. Angel nodded.

"Just… dont be mad at him please? It wasn't his fault" Angel said.

"I know Angie, I'm not mad at anyone I just… I need to talk to him" I said.

"Okay… thank you Shaky" Angel replied sounding a tad bit upset. I gave her another peck on the lips.

"I love you Angie," I said. Angel smiled and then we heard Kate call us.

"So I heard you two got into it yesterday, how was it?" she asked. Me and Angel looked at each other as the whole table stared at us. We then turned back to her.

"I'm assuming Rick told you?" Angel asked. Rick laughed nervously as he looked to the side.

"Yeah, its not a bad thing, this group seems to be pretty okay with talking about each others sex lives so I was just curious" Kate explained.

"Well Angel was… lovely, she was soft and cuddly. Everything I imagined" I explained as I nuzzled her.

"Aww '' Lilly said, causing us to open our eyes and stare at her.

"Angel?" Kate asked. Angel took a sip of her soda and then answered.

"He was big," she said. We all shared a laugh before Angel put Kate in the spotlight. It was her turn. "So Kate, from what I've heard recently that outfit has been doing wonders, how have things been in the bedroom since you wore it?" Angel asked. Kate laughed nervously avoiding eye contact and then looked up and began answering.

"Well I'd say things have been… hot, I've really been enjoying the past couple of nights, it's made me much more relaxed" Kate explained.

"Rick?" Angel asked. "I'm sure you love it"

"Well… I do… hell the first time we fucked with her wearing that I lasted like five seconds and was ready for a second round in minutes. I'd say its my second favorite way of having sex with Kate" he explained.

"Second? What's the first?" Kate asked. I was interested in hearing this as well. I saw the outfit Angel sent Kate and if I saw her in that I would probably cum with the slightest touch to my penis.

"Well… I love it and believe me I want to do it again but… it just feels like more lust than love and I don't know… I like when there's more love involved… Remember our first time when we were under the covers? Holding each other's hands as we climaxed? That was the best… I just want to make love to you more than anything" Rick explained. Kate raised her hand to Rick's cheek and rubbed it before bringing him to a kiss. It was a passionate one. Nice and slow.

"He's a keeper Kate" Lilly said, causing her to break the kiss and look over at her. She then turned back to Rick.

"I know," she said, giving him another kiss. She then broke it and looked into his eyes. "We can make love tonight alright? Just plain naked and vanilla" Kate offered. Rick grabbed her wrist lightly and smiled.

"Okay" he said. They kissed again. As they did, I nudged Angel's arm. She turned to me and I raised my eyebrows, making her smile. We spent the rest of lunch talking about random bullshit before it was back to class. As I was walking to my car Angel called me, making me stop.

"I'll text you okay?" she said.

"Alright, we'll hang out tomorrow okay?" I asked.

"Alright," Angel smiled. I gave her another quick kiss and then began walking to my car. "Shaky wait!" she called. I turned around to talk to her once more. "Are you sure you want to talk to Humphrey so soon?" she asked.

"Angel… yes, it will be fine" I said.

"Just saying we could hang out today… have some sex" she offered. I chuckled.

"Tomorrow" I said, kissing her again. With that I hopped in my car and drove to my house. When I walked into my house I got that feeling again. The feeling of being alone in a ghost town. Memories always came flooding back to me. Memories with the realization that I would never make new ones with my mother. I'll always be with you. But where? I sat down on the couch and began watching TV. looking around the room every once in a while to make sure that I was indeed alone. Sadly though I always was. Or so it seemed. I'll always be with you. I shut my eyes tight as I tried to get those words out of my head. But it was no use. It had been four years of trying and no luck or result. Eventually I heard a knock at the door. I stood up and looked through the peephole to see Humphrey standing on the concrete steps that led up to my front door. I unlocked it and opened it.

"Hey Shaky," Humphrey said. I didn't respond, I just stepped to the side and gestured inside the house. Once Humphrey was in I closed the door. Humphrey took a seat on the opposite couch as I sat back down where I was before and turned the TV off.

"I'm assuming you wanted to talk to me about what happened with Angel?" I asked.

"Yeah… that and I wanted to make sure we were cool" Humphrey answered.

"She said she did it to receive lessons for me… is that true?" I asked. Humphrey nodded.

"She wanted to wow you, she didn't think you were a virgin. None of us did" Humphrey explained.

"So is that what I come off as some type of man whore?" I asked.

"No no no we just… we knew you had relationships, we always saw you making out in those relationships we just thought you would have had sex with at least one of them" Humphrey explained.

"Well I didn't. I know my way around a joke or two but no girl in that school wants a guy who works part time at an auto shop nd lives in a fucking trailer" I explained.

"Shaky i-"

"No. they want dumb jocks that have flashy cars and don't earn a fucking thing they have, they look good but that's not gonna help them forever, but that doesn't matter right now because everybody that's an option for me gets blown away the second they see my life style. But then I meet my friends sister and she's everything I could want in a girl, shes cute, she's funny, and she's willing to actually fuck me, but her first time isnt with me, we don't share a first time no… her first time is with you, even though you have one of the most popular girls in school, you had to go after my crush, my love, knowing that I was dating her and I loved her" I ranted. Humphrey just stared at me as I did it. I started to tear up.

"Shaky…"

"No Humphrey, what you did to me… to her… she says it wasn't your fault, that it was all hers. She wants me not to be mad at you and I'm not but what I am is upset… I'm hurt, Angel thinks of our group as a family, and family is supposed to be able to trust each other and God damn it did I trust you. You and Rick are like brothers to me and you… you…" I began to sob. I felt embarrassed. I should have listened to Angel and waited longer. Humphrey stood up and sat next to me, brushing my back to at least try and calm me.

"I know she means a lot to you… she means a lot to all of us… please Shaky I don't want you to hate me-"

"I don't hate you" I said, cutting him off. Humphrey nodded as he continued brushing my back. "Even with everything that happened I'm willing to make this work, I feel like I found a new home, a new family… ever since my mom died I've been looking for that family and it finally showed up, I started to feel happy again, you guys are my family now. That's why when I smelled Angie that day I knew what it was… I knew exactly what it was and what happened. But I couldn't bring myself to believe that you would do that, I kept telling myself that I was wrong but I was right. I was fucking right. But even so… I can't lose my family again" I sobbed. Humphrey then pulled me into a hug. I hugged him back tightly and just cried.

"I'm sorry Shaky," Humphrey whispered.

"No, no, don't be… I'm sorry for breaking down but… I can't lose you guys. Any of you. I forgive you Humphrey… I forgive you" I cried. Humphrey just continued to hug me, rocking me to calm me down as if I were a small child. "I love you guys" I sniffed.

"And we love you Shaky, trust me. Were not going to leave you, I promise, we'll always be with you"
