Maria sees her parents grave.
"I haven't been here a while. I'm not a Stackhouse. I would've known about what I am when I was little. I'm part tiger. Mom I wish I could've found out about my birth father's name." Maria said
Outside of the Stackhouse Residence.
Maria walked up to her house but Eric stopped her.
"You going to tell her?" Eric asked Maria
"If Bill doesn't tell her the truth then I have too." Maria said
Bill opens the door.
"We know what Sookie is. You've been keeping that lie." Maria said
"That's not true." Bill said
Bill leaves the house. They walk.
"Is it true that Sookie's blood let you walk in the sunlight? (Bill stops in surprise). Sophie-Anne never even told you why she sent you for Sookie." Eric said
"I returned to Bon Temps because it is my ancestral home." Bill said
"Cut the crap." Maria said
"Is it true?" Eric asked Bill
"No. The blood works for a fews minutes, if that. And you burn a bit slower than you would do without it. But you still burn." Bill said
"Well, that's gonna disappoint Sophie-Anne." Eric said
"Well, I will die the true death before I let her get her hands on Sookie. Or anyone else, for that matter." Bill said
"Russell will come for her again." Maria said
Bill looked at Eric.
"You've killed his lover. That's why he went medieval on TV. Thanks, Eric. You just put our cause back a thousand years. He must be after you for that." Bill said
"You sure as hell don't know him as much as I do." Maria said
"Oh, give me a break. You don't care about Maria." Bill said
"Standing right here." Maria said
"What is the fucking truth, for once?" Bill asked Eric
"The truth? Well, why don't you tell Sookie the fucking truth, if you really love her?" Eric asked Bill
Sookie approaches to them.
"What truth?" Sookie asked Bill
"The truth about what you are, which I've already told you." Bill said
"You really believe he is trustworthy?" Eric asked Sookie
"Yeah I do." Sookie said
"Do what you want." Eric said
Eric leaves.
"Eric, wait!" Maria said
Maria is leaving.
Arlene's house.
Maria knocked on the door and Arlene opens it.
"Maria it's 2pm in the morning." Arlene said
"I'm sorry to bug you. But could I sleep here for tonight? (Arlene sighs.) You can go back to sleep. I know where the blankets are and I'll sleep on the couch." Maria said
"Ok." Arlene said
Maria goes inside the house and shuts the door. She gets the blankets out and lays on the couch.
Evening.
Maria still sleeping on the couch dreaming. She sees Eric sitting in front of her.
"How did you get in here? Arlene doesn't like vampires to be invited in her home." Maria said
"You're still dreaming." Eric said
Eric kisses her on the lips. He kisses her neck.
"What are you not telling me?" Maria asked Eric
She wakes up.
Lafayette's place.
Living room.
"Sorry to bother you." Maria said
"It's cool." Lafayette said
Jesus comes out of the bathroom.
"Who's this?" Jesus asked Lafayette
"This is my friend Maria." Lafayette said
"I'm Jesus. I've heard a lot about you." Jesus said
"You two..." Maria asked as Lafayette and Jesus finished her sentence
"Yes." Both Jesus and Lafayette said
"I'm happy for you. So, uh, what did he tell you about me?" Maria asked Jesus
"That you two had some fun times." Jesus said
Maria laughing.
"We had to get back at some rednecks. (Maria stopped laughing.) That's not why I came here. I needed to talk to someone about Eric." Maria said
"I don't know what to tell you." Lafayette said
"We can't trust Bill after what he did. There's something else Eric isn't telling me. He's protecting me but other then that he's lying to me. Including my dreams." Maria said
"I know it's hard. But if he doesn't start telling you the truth. You know what the other option is." Lafayette said
Maria figured out what Lafayette was saying.
"No. I can't. I swore to Godric that I would take care of him. Not break up with him." Maria said
"If he's not telling you the truth. You might as well break that promise." Lafayette said
Nighttime.
Shreveport.
Fangtasia.
Eric sitting in the office. Pam and Maria enters.
"She insisted." Pam said
"She always does." Eric said
Eric motions to Pam out
"What the hell is going on? Why do you keep lying to me? Thinking that you cared about me." Maria said
"I do care about you, Maria. But..." Eric said as Maria cuts him off
"But what? Tell me?" Maria asked Eric
Eric gets up and approaches Maria.
"Well, here's the truth. There are forces beyond even my control. I'm the only one who can stop Russell and the next thing I'm about to tell you would be the first and last time." Eric said
"You mean..." Maria said as Eric cuts her off
"I love you, Maria" Eric said
"Why does it sound like you're saying goodbye to me?" Maria asked Eric
"Because I am. (Eric kisses Maria on the mouth. She begins to push and kisses too, then stops. Pam arrives.) What?" Eric said
"Blah, blah, vampire emergency, blah." Pam said
Both Pam and Eric leave the office. Maria was crying.
1 hour later.
Maria hears Sookie screaming.
"Let me go." Sookie said
Pam enters.
"What the hell is going on? (Pam stuck a syringe in Maria's neck. She feels dizzy.) What the fuck did you do?" Maria said
Maria fell down and asleep.
