"School rings are being sold today bro," Angela mentioned as she and Clark stood at their lockers getting their books.

"I'm thinking of buying one,"

"Didn't mom and dad say no to it cause of the price?,"

"I saved up, aren't you buying one too?,"

"Yes Lex put the money in the account for me to puchase it,"

"Let's get going then sis," Clark said as they made their way down to the gym where the rings were being sold.

Clark was the first to get his but as he slid the ring on his finger Angela was stunned to notice the auomatic change in him.

"Clark?,"

"See you around sis," Clark walked off with a sinister grin on his face.

"Miss Kent?,"

"I'm not buying one," Angela said as she ran off to find Clark.

Yanking out her cell phone Angela hit speed dial to get ahold of Lex.

"Hello?,"

"Lex it's me something's wrong with Clark, he bought a school ring but when he put it on he changed as if the ring changed him completely,"

"Not good, ok find him and try to get him here i'll set up the steel room to see if we can get him in it to lower the effects on him,"

"Ok Lex, talk to you soon," Angela said hanging up and tossing the phone back in her pocket as she finally found Clark.

Her jaw dropped as he stood in the hall spouting off at Principal Gibbons while defending some new girl who stood beside Lana.

"Clark!,"

"What?,"

"We have to go bro folks need us," Angela lied hoping he would fall for it.

"Later sis," Clark replied brushing her off.

Leaning over Angela hoped Pete could help her.

"Pete, the ring it's controlling Clark somehow can you distract him for a bit?,"

"I'll try Ang good luck with him,"

"Thanks Pete," Angela said as she headed outside and super speeded her way to the mansion.

"Where is he?," Lex asked as he met Angela at the door.

"He refused to follow me I need green,"

"No,"

"Lex it's the only way to weaken him enough to get him under our control,"

"I'll control him, I'll use the green you stay the hell away from it,"

"Ok Lex," Angela nodded in agreement as he headed off to get some green kryptonite.

As Angela waited in the foyer of the mansion her phone dinged. Sliding her hand into her jean pocket she withdrew her phone to see what went off.

Seeing it was a text message she swiped the screen of her iphone and pulled up her messages. It turned out to be Pete letting her know that Clark had taken off from school and he didn't know where to since he 'sped'.

"Problem!,"

"What is wrong love,"

"Clark sped off from school Pete doens't know where to,"

"We'll find him Angel,"

"I hope so I'm worried about him," Angela replied as she wrapped her arms around Lex's waist in a much needed hug.

Later that day after Pete told Angela he had found Clark but that he had sped off towards the farm Angela made her way over to the farm just in time to see Clark storm his way upstairs in the middle of a lecture from their father.

"Mom, dad it's the ring, when he put it on a red shine went over his eyes its controlling him,"

"Is it a new rock?,"

"I think so, Lex is going to try to green him and get control of him enough to get the ring off him,"

"Is that so?," Clark said as he stodd at the bottom of the stairs.

"Clark please," Angela began to plead.

"Using green on your own brother that is the worst betrayal ever,"

"Clark it's to help...you," Angela tryed to explain as Clark ran out out of the farm house.

Martha walked over and gathered her daughter in her arms as tears gathered in the corner of her eyes they knew she just wanted to help her only living blood.

Making her way to the Talon where they were suppose to study that evening Angela slid into the booth beside Pete as Lana and Chloe got in line to get coffee. Clark sauntered in and plopped down beside Angela in the booth.

"Mmm hotties,"

"Clark Kent will you stop it right now,"

"No way sis, especially with what im really seeing,"

"Are you using your gift,"

"Yup," Clark popped out with a smirk on his lips.

"Stop that right now," Angela bit out at him.

"Oh unlossen sis stop being a square,"

"Oh really your sick Clark and so help me god I will stop you!,"

"Try it," Clark sneered as he got up and walked out of the Talon.

"I don't know what I'm going to do Pete?,"

"We'll figure it out Angela I promise," Pete promised her as he placed a comforting hand on her back.

The next day Angela woke up to a frantic call from her parents. It had turned out Clark had taken their credit cards, maxed them out on expensive eletronics and clothes, and then took off on his fathers motorcycle.

Groaning Angela sat up swinging her legs over the edge of the bed causing Lex to wake up.

"What's wrong?,"

"Clark is what's wrong, he stole our parets credit cards and maxed them out,"

"I'll handle it when I wake up," Lex said as he turned over to go back to sleep til his normal wake up at nine am.

Angela was happy he was going to help with that part of the problem, but she had to get that ring off him, and even though it made her sick she knew she was the only one who could get close enough to use green on him.

Looking back at Lex she prayed he would forgive her as she got up and got dressed to go handle her brother.

The day at school had gone by with only a slight hitch in the form of her borther shoving their father but otherwise she had had no chance to handle him. As she entered the mansion she was surprised to hear his voice coming from the library.

"I was hoping I could borrow your Ferrai tonight Lex, I have a date with Lana,"

"Sure Clark, but just try to talk to your family they really do care about you,"

"They aren't my family," Clark said as he headed out brushing past his sister without even a peep to her.

She spent the night researching all she could about the side effects others might have had on red meteors just to get a basic idea. Not realizing it had turned morning she was startled when she heard her mothers faint voice come from the open window beside her.

Getting up she retrieved the green box from the safe in the wall and sped off towards the farm.

"What's going on!," Angela yelled as she arrived seeing Clark loading his stuff into the Ferrai he had borrowed last night.

"I'm leaving Angela, I'm tired of being used as a piece of farm equipment, I'm going to go out into the world and make millions,"

"How Clark you have no job experience, you haven't even finished high school?,"

"I will find my way bye sis," getting in the car Clark sped off.

Entering the mansion Clark entered the library again to speak to Lex.

"Clark how are you today?,"

"Good, look I need to borrow the Ferrai awhile longer til my new girl and I get settled,"

"You're leaving?,"

"Yup, escaping the people using me,"

"Sounds like a good plan,"

"It is I'm going to enjoy the new found freedom,"

"Mind if I tag along? We can use the penthouse in Metropolis. Lionel can have the mansion I can be free too,"

"Sure,"

"Just give me a few minutes to tie up some loose ends," Lex said sitting down at his desk to stall Clark.

Angela wasn't sure what to do when her phone suddenly went off. Taking it out of her jacket pocket she noticed it was a text from Lex.

Clark is here trying to stall him try to get your father ready to follow him from here and to handle the situation

Angela showed her father the text and together they headed out to confront Clark.

They patiently waited trying to find the right moment to get to Clark. When they noticed him driving past they began following him at a distance hoping he wouldnt spot them. Angela wasn't surprised though when they pulled up to the Brooks house.

"Stay here dad," Angela said climbing out with the lead box in her hands.

Hearing a sudden comotion inside the house she stepped back just in time as Jessie came running out towards the cornfield, with Clark on her heels.

"Clark!," Angela yelled getting his attention giving Jessie the opportunity to get away.

"What are you doing here sis?,"

"Forgive me," Angela said holding up the box and opening it watching as the effects of green began affecting him, but also herself.

Jonathon took the opportunity and ran forward with a sledge hammer, yanking the ring off Clark's finger he turned around and smashed it. When the ring was finally destroyed he went to his daughter and closed the box in her hands.

Shaking his hands that both his children had to be caused pain over one siblings actions he bent down bridal carrying his daughter to the truck.

Returning he helped Clark up next and put him in the back of the truck bed.

As they drove away Jonathon was worried with two different types of meters out there now it was twice the risk for his children.

Pulling up to the mansion Jonathon honked twice to get Lex's attention. Getting out and going around to the other side of the truck Jonathon opened the door and helped his daughter turn around in the seat.

"What happened?,"

"We took care of the problem but she took the blunt of it,"

"What do you mean,"

"She used your green box,"

"What!,"

"Stop yelling," Angela weakly said opening her eyes just a crack.

"You are in so much trouble Angel," Lex said as he stepped forward and pulled her out of the truck gently into his arms.

"Take care of her,"

"I will, good luck with Clark," Lex replied as he watched Jonathon get back into the truck and begin driving off.

"What am I going to do with you baby your a trouble magnet,"

"Sorry Lex,"

"It's not your fault sweetie," Lex said kissing her forehead before they headed into the mansion, but all Lex could hope was that the next event wasn't as bad but he could never be certain.
