Angela had returned to school a few days later. She was still a bit shaken up but felt well enough to go to school so she wouldn't be too far behind. Lex agreed as long as she kept her phone on her and to let him know if she needed to leave at any time he would send Liam with the car since he didn't want her driving any time soon. He had hired Liam to drive her around for the short time paying him well since it was a short time gig.
Clark had swim the last period of the day so Angela sat on the bench poolside to watch the race he had mentioned they were going to have. He was facing off against Troy Turner for bragging rights on who was faster.
Before the race started Angela watched as Troy kissed his girlfriend Chrissy Parker for good luck. Getting in the pool afterwards one of the guys said go starting the race. Half way through the race Clark noticed Troy was having trouble breathing so he pulled him to the side and got them both out of the pool.
As Clark pulled Troy out of the water though everyone gasped as they witnessed Troy having aged sixty years right in front of them.
School was finished quickly after that and everyone was sent home. Clark drove the truck and Angela had texted Lex not to send Liam as she was going to the farm with Clark.
As they arrived they over heard their parents discussing the farm and how they were facing financial issues again, and Jonathon got grumpy the moment Martha suggested her father coming by.
"Why is the topic of us meeting our grandfather such a uncomfortable issue?,"
"Too much bad blood," Jonathon grounded out between clenched teeth.
"Wouldn't he be happy to know though that he has two grand children?,"
"No he wouldn't, it's a sore subject sweetie I wish it wasn't but sadly it is," Martha answered Angela's questions.
Deciding to leave it at that Angela and Clark call it a day and head off to their respectful places to sleep.
The next day Angela and Clark got a ride from Lex who stopped at the Talon dropping off muffins for Lana, and then heading to the school. As they approached the yellow barred gate of the drop off zone they were met by the new principal.
"Mr Reynolds,"
"Luthor,"
"I'm sorry for them being late lost track of time won't happen again,"
"I don't care what you have to say Luthor, Kents get to class now,"
"Bye Lex love you," Angela said as Clark gave him a short wave.
Lex got back in the Porsche and drove off, he had business in Metropolis so he would be gone for the evening, and had Liam picking up the Kents after school. He didn't like the fact though that Reynolds was back, he just hoped he wouldn't do anything to them in retaliation to him.
After school Clark and Angela were helping Lana prepare for a school spirit week activity in the theatre section of the Talon. As they were working they began discussing the mysterious photograph Lana had found, and about the tension between their father and grandfather.
When Nell arrived Clark and Angela packed up their stuff and headed out to give Lana and her space to talk. When they arrived back to the farm together they were shocked to see their mother sitting in the kitchen talking to an older gentleman.
"Clark, Angela I want you to meet your grandfather William," Martha introduced as she ushered them to come in.
"Two grandchildren, I wish I had known sooner about them. It's nice to meet you both,"
"Nice to meet you too, I'm Angela and this is my twin brother Clark,"
"Well I should be taking my leave before he comes back, I will see you all again soon," William said taking his leave.
"Why didn't he stay?," Clark asked obviously about to stir this pot of drama again.
"Clark we explained why he is never in the same room as your father," Martha said as she began clearing the kitchen table.
"I'll see you tomorrow mom good luck with them," Angela gave her mother a hug as she made her way out to head home to Lex.
The next day at school as Clark and Angela were discussing Turner's death they suddenly heard themselves being called to the principals office over the P.A. system. They hadn't done anything wrong but they made their way to the office anyways.
As they entered the room Reynolds closed the door behind them.
"I want to know excatly what both your relationships are with Luthor?,"
"Excuse me? That's an invasion of our personal privacy, what we do in our private lives outside of school is none of your damn business," Angela spoke up angrily.
"Miss Kent when it comes to Luthor everything is my business,"
"No it's not so go fuck yourself," Angela said as she turned around and headed for the door.
"If you leave this office I will suspend you,"
"Go ahead," Angela replied exiting the office slamming the door behind her.
Clark was stunned he had never heard his sister speak like that before to well anyone ever. She was right though and so he got up from where he had sat and went to leave too.
"Mr Kent same warning applies to you, if you want to avoid suspension though write me an essay of where you see yourself in five years," Reynolds ordered as Clark opened the door and left too without a spoken word.
Angela had been so angry she had superspeeded from school to the mansion. She threw her bag and jacket next to the door and went right into the gym. She knew she needed to get some of her anger out and the only safe way was to punch the punching bag Lex had in the corner.
That's where Lex had found her when he arrived home an hour later after receiving a phone call from Clark about what happened at school. She had been punching the bag so long her knuckles were bleeding and the bag was practically destroyed.
"Angela stop," Lex yelled out rushing forward pulling her away from the remains of the bag. He placed his hands on her face to make her look at him.
"You have to stop your bleeding, he isn't worth this," Lex spoke as he then moved his hands and took Angela's left hand leading her out and up to their bathroom.
As they entered the bathroom Angela slowly began to snap out of the trance like mode she was in. Tears welled in the corners of her eyes as she saw how her hands looekd as Lex began treating them.
Turning the taps on to the warmest water he could get it on he slowly rinsed her hands off. As the blood went down the drain Lex was furious with Reynolds over this. After making sure all the blood was gone he reached up into the cabinet and removed the gauze wraps, and slowly he wrapped both her hands up.
Afterwards he led her into their bedroom and sat her down onto their bed, where she crawled back and curled up in a ball in the middle of bed. Lex was concerned about her but he knew she needed time to handle the situation.
Lex had gone back downstairs, called a clean up crew to fix and restore the gym, and fired off a text to Clark although he knew he too was dealing with his own problems. He had responded quickly and told him to just let his sister know that he found out they were the reason the family didn't speak.
Could this day have gone any worse. Between Reynolds suspending his girlfriend, Clark's grandfather explaining how the kids were the reason the family was rifted, and the now destroyed gym Lex was starting to feel the stress of having a alien girlfriend. Although some days he wondered if she was worth it, the rest of the time he knew he wouldnt give her up for anything in the world he was madly in love with her.
