Eric was about to smell Maria but she punched him on the nose. His nose started bleeding.
"Don't you ever do that again." Maria said
"What'd you do that for?" Eric asked Maria
"Call it instinct." Maria said
"You broke my nose." Eric said
"Your nose will be fine. You're a vampire. It'll heal." Maria said
"I know what I am! I just don't know who I am." Eric said
"What's the last thing you remember?" Maria asked Eric
"I don't know. I don't know. The sea, maybe. Home. (Eric speaking Swedish.) The wet sand between my toes…the wind between my shoulder blades." Eric said
Maria speaking Swedish.
"Eric, fokusera. (Eric, focus.) (Maria speaking English.) Speak, english." Maria said
Eric stopped speaking swedish.
"Her eyes. Her cold, empty eyes. They were reaching into me. Emptying me." Eric said
"Ok." Maria said
"And it was her, but it wasn't her. She was in a, in a circle, chanting. And, uh...Everything I was...was taken from me." Eric said
"I'll help you deal with this." Maria said
"Aren't we enemies?" Eric asked Maria
"You and I. We have a history. Helping a vampire who lost his memory. That's a first. You're coming home with me." Maria said
"Ok." Eric said
"When we get there, you don't bite or drain me. Especially my sister. Her blood is pure. Other vampires to them, she smells like sunshine. She's special." Maria said
"I won't harm anyone you care about. I swear it." Eric said
"Well, let's go then." Maria said
"I am grateful for this." Eric said
"Yeah. Yeah. Yeah." Maria said
Outside of Stackhouse Residence.
Maria stopped the car. Eric smells something different.
"That's my sister. I told you she smells different." Maria said
"I promise I won't hurt her." Eric said
Maria and Eric gets out of the car and walked to the house. She comes in. Her sister was already there. Eric is outside waiting to be invited in.
"Maria what's going..." Sookie asked as her sister cuts her off
"Shh. (Maria shushing at her sister. She looked at Eric.) It's okay, you can come in. It's your...(Maria almost forgot that Eric bought the house. But he doesn't know anymore.) As it's your first time in our house, obviously, you need an invitation. Eric, would you like to come in?" Maria asked Eric
Eric walked in. Almost stepped out the rug with his dirty feet.
"Don't step on the rug!" Sookie said
"Oh. Sorry." Eric apologize
Eric walked around the carpet.
"Sit on the couch. We'll get you some clean clothes." Maria said
"Ok." Eric said
Eric walked in the living room. Sookie take her sister's arm and dragged her in the kitchen.
"What's going on? Why is he in our house? Why can't he remember anything?" Sookie asked her sister
"Million reasons why I don't know. Find him Jason's old clothes. See if you can find him some shoes that'll fit him. I have to call Pam. Tell her what's going on." Maria said
Sookie goes upstairs. Maria gets a bucket, put it in the sink, turn the faucet on and let the water run. She turned it off, put soap in it and a sponge. She calls Pam.
"Good evening, Fangtasia, northern Louisiana's most fangtastic club. What do you want?" Pam asked
"Hey, Pam. It's Maria. I thought you should know that Eric is here." Maria said
"So, it's his house." Pam said
"That's the thing. He doesn't seem to remember that. Or me. Or anybody else. (Pam doesn't answer back.) Pam? Hello? (Maria hangs up. She picks up the bucket, walked out of the kitchen and enter the living room. She sits down on the ground.) Sorry, the water got cold." Maria said
"Doesn't bother me. (Eric puts his feet in the bucket and Maria started cleaning his feet with a sponge. He laughs.) It, it tickles. (Maria didn't show any emotion.) Why don't I remember you?" Eric asked Maria
"I could tell you some stories." Maria said
Pam appeared inside. Eric freaked out and got up.
"Who the fuck's she?" Eric asked Maria
Maria stands up.
"Fuck!" Pam said
"Sorry. Sorry, that was rude. I'm sorry." Eric apologize
Sookie ran downstairs and enter the living room. Pam was confused
"What do you know about what happened to you? Hide him. You have to hide him." Pam said
Pam panics.
"Are you insane?" Sookie asked Pam
"No. No way!" Maria said
"He's in danger!" Pam said
"And I'm sure you'll be able to protect him. (Maria shakes her head.) I'm not doing it. I'm not protecting his ass again." Maria said
"Maria, I'll be the first place they'll look." Pam said
"They who?" Maria asked Pam
"The witches who did this." Pam said
"Witches? Oh, great. We're dealing with witches?" Sookie asked Pam
"Pam, this is your problem. Not mine." Maria said
"Actually, you're living in his house, so it is your problem." Pam said
"Uh, it's my house?" Eric asked them
"Thanks a lot, Pam." Maria said
"He loved you." Pam said
"Maybe me and Sookie could just go to Bill. He might have some protection at his house." Maria said
Pam get up in Maria's face.
"Tell Bill and I will rip you to pieces." Pam said
"I would love to see you try." Maria said
Eric pushed Pam down.
"Be nice to her." Eric said
Pam gets up.
"I believe Bill set Eric up, and sent him into that coven in Shreveport knowing it was a trap. It wouldn't be the first time he tried to get rid of Eric." Pam said
"Like Bill lied to Sookie. Just like Eric lied to me." Maria said
"I lied to you about what?" Eric asked Maria
"Shut up." Maria said
"Promise me you won't go to Bill. I'm sure he would use this as an excuse to get the AVL to sign off on assassinating Eric. I know he wants to. Eric has to stay here with you, and no one can know." Pam said
"About the past. About not having money. You're gonna pay me for babysittin' him. Find some way to reverse the spell so that I can be done with this. It would've been another reason to keep Godrics word." Maria said
"Then you should keep it." Pam said
Pam vamp speed out of there.
Maria enters the cubby, climb down the ladder and looked at his new room.
"It's okay. You can come down." Maria said
Eric climbs down the ladder.
"This really is my house." Eric said
"Yeah, but not for long." Maria said
"You and your sister live here? In my house?" Eric asked Maria
"Yes." Maria said
"What did that woman mean that "That I still love you."?" Eric asked Maria
"You and I were..." Maria said as Eric cuts her off
"Were you mine?" Eric asked Maria
"I was. But you lied to me about something's. Things you didn't want to share." Maria said
"Are you seeing someone else?" Eric asked Maria
"I'm seeing someone who's like me. A weretiger." Maria said
"Why are you helping me?" Eric asked Maria
"Because I'm stupid for getting in this situation again. (Maria sighs.) But it's the right thing to do." Maria said
Eric holds Maria's hand.
"I wanted to say thank you for uh, for everything." Eric thanking Maria
"You're welcome. You can let go of my hand now." Maria said
Eric let go of Maria's hand.
"Sorry." Eric apologize
"Thanks." Maria thanking Eric
Maria climbs the ladder out of Eric's room and enter back into the living room.
Morning.
Kitchen.
Sookie gives Maria coffee.
"Thanks." Maria thanking her sister
"You sure about him staying here?" Sookie asked her sister
"Not really." Maria said
"Can't the tiger community take care of him?" Sookie asked her sister
"Are you kidding? They would rip him limb from limb." Maria said
"There's got to be someone." Sookie said
"Alcide." Maria said
"He's in Jackson." Sookie said
"No. He's not. He lives in Shreveport now." Maria said
Shreveport.
Alcides house.
Maria knocks on the door. Alcide opens the door. He was surprised to see Sookie.
"You're a sight for sore eyes." Alcide said
Alcide hugged Sookie.
"It's good to see you, too." Sookie said
Alcide stopped hugging Sookie. He looked at Maria.
"You haven't gave up on her." Alcide said
"I almost did." Maria said
Alcide hugged Maria.
"I'm proud of you for not giving up. (Alcide stopped hugging Maria.) Come on in." Alcide said
Maria and her sister walked inside.
"Nice house." Sookie said
"Thanks. Grab a seat. (They sit down on their chairs.) It's so good to see you, Sookie. We all thought you were..." Alcide said as Sookie finished his sentence
"Dead. I know. When did you move to Shreveport?" Sookie asked Alcide
"About eight months ago. Got a big contract buildin' this subdivision. This economy, you go where the work is, and I was ready to get out of Mississippi after everything...You know." Alcide said
"We need a favor." Maria said
"What kind of favor?" Alcide asked both Stackhouse sisters
"We need you to take care of Eric." Maria said
Alcide was confused.
"Take care of him? You want me to kill him?" Alcide asked Maria
"God. No. We need you to take care of him. He's sick, and he needs a place to stay. Hide out, actually. (Maria smelled something.) You got another wolf in the house?" Maria asked Alcide
Debbie walked in with a tray.
"Hey there, guys." Debbie said
Maria and her sister gets up. Maria grew out her claws.
"Easy. Easy. Maria don't do it. You two just hear her out." Alcide said
"Um, I know that I owe you two a big apology. Sookie, I would have made amends a long time ago if I didn't think that you were dead." Debbie said
"Debbie's been clean and sober for almost a year." Alcide said
"You tried to kill her. You were in for Russell fucking Edgington. You were high on V." Maria said
"I know. I was seriously fucked up at the time, pardon my French. But that ain't no excuse. Now I got the program, and I got Jesus on my side, and Alcide, and I'm hoping you two can forgive me. I know it's gonna take some time, but I'm willing to put that time in if you are." Debbie said
Maria claws disappeared.
"Fine." Maria said
"Ok." Sookie said
"Thank you. You two want Vienna sausages?" Debbie asked both Stackhouse sisters
"We're not hungry. But thank you." Maria said
"We need to get back to Bon Temps. I'm working the lunch shift." Sookie said
Sookie and her sister walked out and Alcide followed them. Sookie and her sister turn around.
"Maria I should've told you months ago. But I knew you were dealing with..." Alcide said as Maria cuts him off
"It's fine. I'm glad she's doing good. But it's not about me that you're seeing Debbie. It's about Sookie being back home. Seeing friends again. That's what matters." Maria said
"Debbie looks really good, really healthy. Lord knows, stranger things have happened." Sookie said
"So, so Eric needs a place to stay?" Alcide asked both Stackhouse sisters
"Yeah. One he won't have to share with a recovering V addict." Maria said
"I could maybe put him in one of these homes we haven't sold yet." Alcide said
Maria remember what Pam said.
"Actually we can take it from there." Maria said
"Everything ok?" Alcide asked Maria
"It's what Pam said. It's a promise and I have to keep it." Maria said
"Good seeing you, Alcide." Sookie said
Maria and her sister gets in the car and shuts their doors.
"Can you watch over Eric while I go to Claws?" Maria asked her sister
"Sure. What about Tara? She's our friend." Sookie said
Maria shakes head.
"Can't. She's been through enough." Maria said
Claws.
"Where have you been?" Quinn asked Maria
"Went to go see Alcide. He was excited to see Sookie again." Maria said
"That was nice." Alistair said
"Better then seeing that 1000 year old, viking, fanger." Stacy said
Maria can't tell them that she's protecting Eric.
"Uh, yeah. You're right. What a loser." Maria said
Nighttime.
Stackhouse Residence.
Living room.
"How is he?" Maria asked her sister
"I don't know." Sookie said
"What do you mean you don't know?" Maria asked her sister
"Tara came by. She wanted Eric to forgive Lafayette. I told her we didn't know where he was. She left. I did check on him. He was sleeping. I just left to get more tru bloods. When I came back, he was gone. (Maria smelled something.) What is it?" Sookie asked her sister
Maria goes outside. She sees a woman in fairy clothes.
"You must be Maria." Claudine said
"Don't trust her, Maria." Sookie said
"You took her there." Maria said
"I'm not goin' back." Sookie said
"Sookie, I understand it must have been frightening what you saw in Faerie, but please..." Claudine said as Sookie cuts her off
"Frightening? You're stealing people." Sookie said
"We are your true family." Claudine said
"How the hell you know about family? Family she got is me, Jason, Gran, Sam, Arlene, Tara, Lafayette, and everyone around here." Maria said
"We can keep her safe." Claudine said
"When have you ever kept me safe?" Sookie asked Claudine
"Well, the night you met Bill Compton, for one. When that horrible little man came at you and Maria with his knife, you wrapped that chain around his neck, I sent the energy that you sent to the chain, awakening the light inside you. I was there, helping." Claudine said
"You've never saved her from Russell or the other vampires.
"I couldn't risk it, being what I am. Vampires would kill me, and trust me, they will kill you. Now come with me while you still can." Claudine said
"She's not going anywhere with you." Maria said
"Sookie, this is not a request." Claudine said
"Stay away from me." Sookie said
Maria eyes turn green. Eric appeared and started drinking Claudine's blood.
"Ahhh!" Claudine said
"Eric!" Sookie said
"Eric! Eric, please stop!" Maria said
Eric is draining Claudine's body. She became a corpse and exploded fairy dust.
"YOU JUST KILL MY FAERIE-GODMOTHER!" Sookie yelled
"Sorry." Eric apologize
