Living room.
"That was Bill and Quinn. Bill was looking for Eric. I told him we didn't know where he is. I also told Quinn that you were sick and you needed time to get better." Sookie said
"Thank you." Maria thanking her sister
"Now what?" Sookie asked her sister
"I don't know yet. I lost my powers because of these witches. I'm going to do everything to protect him. Even without my powers." Maria said
Maria is sleeping in her room. Eric snuck in there and was sitting on her bed. His fangs appeared. She woke up and freaked out.
"Eric? What the hell!?" Maria said
Eric retract his fangs.
"I had a bad dream. (Maria turned the lamp on.) A man. Dark hair. Lot of tattoos. He looked familiar." Eric said
"It was Godric. He was your maker." Maria said
Eric shed some bloody tears. He lay his head on Maria's lap. She stroke his hair.
"I don't know why I'm crying." Eric said
"You loved him. You miss him. I was there when he sacrifice himself. When he met the sun. It was the saddest moment of my life." Maria said
"Am I evil?" Eric asked Maria
"You're a goofball at the time. No, you're not evil." Maria said
"I like being next to you." Eric said
Maria smile.
"I've always seen this side of you." Maria said
"Like what?" Eric said
"Gentle, sweet. I've known. Godric would've been proud of you. He was the most human of all the vampires I've ever met." Maria said
"It's strange to miss someone you don't remember." Eric said
Eric turned his back and lay on his left side.
"Would it be all right if I stayed here till sunrise?" Eric asked Maria
"Keep your hands and your fangs to yourself." Maria said
"I promise. (Maria turned the lamp off. She lay beside him. Eric took her hand and holds it.) I would never hurt anyone as beautiful as you." Eric said
Maria doesn't know what she feels anymore.
Next day.
Merlottes.
"Hey, Holly. Just the person we wanted to see." Sookie said
"I'm always here." Holly said
"So how's your group's goin'.? What do you call it? Witch group? Wicca group?" Maria asked Holly
"Well, Wicca usually, but witch is fine, too. Scares off the dummies that think we all fly around on broomsticks... Turning people into toads." Holly said
"We've always been real interested in Wicca ourselves. Seems real spiritual, peaceful. Was there any signs of vampires?" Maria asked Holly
"I don't really want to talk about that, Maria. I mean, I know two have lots of friends who are vampires, and I don't judge, but...I got kids I gotta think about, okay?" Holly said
"Oh, okay." Sookie said
"Sorry. No offense." Holly said
"It's fine." Maria said
"None taken. (Sookie reads Holly's mind. She leaves.) MoonGoddess. That's where the witches are going." Sookie said
"I'll go." Maria said
Shreveport.
MoonGoddess.
Old lady. Sweeping up the place.
"Hi. I'm sorry to bug you. I was just passin' by and I saw your sign. I'd like a reading, please." Maria said
"We're closed." Marnie said
"Really? Shoot. Can I just say this is the cutest little store! You know, when I was a teenager the only witch I can think of was Tara Maclay. My favorite witch in Buffy. I swear it." Maria said
"Fine. (Maria comes in.) Sit." Marnie said
Maria and Marnie sat at a table.
"Thanks. Miss?" Maria said
"Marnie." Marnie said
"Maria. What's the back room for?" Maria asked Marnie
"For meetings. It's, uh, just social events. You know, I'm a real social butterfly myself. Mmm. The way I see it, a stranger's just a friend you haven't met yet. Uh, could I have something to hold on to, just something personal. (Maria gives Marnie her necklace. She closed her eyes.) Now, just relax. Just think of a question. There is a presence. There's someone who's crossed over not so long ago. A woman. I see a yellow apron. Someone older." Marnie said
"That's...that's my Gran." Maria said
"Uh, she misses you and your siblings very much." Marnie said
"We miss her very much. Is she okay? Is she happy?" Maria asked Marnie
"She's at peace. She wants to make sure you look after someone. Not just Sookie. But your brother. Jason. Your, your...Gran has another message for you. She knows that you're not in love with the man in the same species as you are. It won't last cause you're still in love with your ex." Marnie said
Maria eyes turned white.
"Why am I in a trance?" Maria asked in confusion
Maria can hear Grans voice.
"Maria, It's me. It's Gran." Gran said
"Gran is it really you?" Maria asked Gran
"Yes, sweetheart. You have to get away from here. This woman poses great danger. You were right. She was the one that took your powers. Get away from her. Run, Maria, run. Get out now!" Gran said
Maria was out of the trance.
"What's that over there? (Marnie looked the other way. Maria grabbed a pencil and stabbed Marnie through the hand.) That was for taking my powers. (Maria punched Marnie in the face.) And that one was for Eric." Maria said
Maria ran outside. Goes to her car and drives off.
Nighttime.
Claws.
"I can see that you're feeling a lot better." Quinn said
"Yea." Maria said
"What is it?" Alistair said
"Dad I need to talk to you." Maria said
Maria and her father goes in the office.
"What's going on?" Alistair asked his daughter
"I can't be around here until I can get everything back together." Maria said
"What do you mean?" Alistair asked his daughter
"I lost my powers the other day. Made me not to track down a vampire." Maria said
"I heard Eric was missing. Lost memory. Bill Compton trying to find him." Alistair said
"Yea. Cause Bill will stop at nothing to kill Eric." Maria said
"Are you still in love with Eric?" Alistair asked his daughter
"I don't know. I love Quinn." Maria said
"The choice is yours. You're my daughter ok. I'm not going to tell Quinn." Alistair said
Maria hugged her father.
Stackhouse Residence.
Living room.
"Tara found out that Eric is still living here. We shouldn't have lied to Tara." Sookie said
Sookie leaves. Maria sits with Eric. He feels guilty.
"Why are you letting me stay with you?" Eric asked Maria
"Because there's more to you than just being an arrogant jerk. I always knew there was decency in you, even when you were a delinquent asshole. I still knew it." Maria said
"Whether decency is in me is irrelevant. I'm clearly capable of extreme cruelty." Eric said
"No you're not. I mean you were. Yet I'm still here with you. I've seen change. I've seen it all around you." Maria said
"There's something in you. Something so beautiful. But I can't take that away from you." Eric said
Eric gets up, walked towards the door and walked out. Maria shakes her head.
"No. (Maria gets up and ran out.) Eric, stop! (Eric stopped and turned around.) Please don't go." Maria said
Eric walked towards Maria. Both of them hugging each other. Stopped hugging and just looked at each other a moment.
