Angela sat behind her desk in Wayne Enterprises in Metropolis working on multiple reports that had come in while she had previously been at home the last two days. She had yanked her hair up into a bun and striped off her blazer an hour ago, and was thankful she had installed a mini fridge in her office full of her favorite water.

Lex had returned to Metropolis with her, and so far they were getting along great. They had agreed to take things slow this time and it was working. Bruce and she had a long talk about it, and he even spoke to Lex and warned him that if he did it again he would pull Angela out of Metropolis so fast his head would spin and he would never see her again.

Lex knew she would be busy today so he went out to run an errand so he wouldn't be in her way. She appreciated him doing that cause as a fellow member of the business world he knew how reports could pile up and how some of them can get frustrating.

Later that evening Angela was just finishing up when Lex returned followed by a young gentleman.

"Lex good timing, whose this?,"

"Angela meet Lucas my half brother, Lionel gave him up for adoption but i found him to bring him back to the family,"

"Wow, well it's nice to meet you Lucas,"

"You as well Ms. Kent,"

"Please call me Angela after all me and your brother have been dating on and off for awhile now,"

"He is lucky to have met someone so nice as you Angela,"

"Can we keep him he is so much nicer then Lionel," as Angela said this Lex roared out laughing.

"Let's head upstairs to the penthouse and get something to eat,"

"Sounds good," so together the three of them headed upstairs to have a quiet dinner together.

"So how did you find him Lex?,"

"He was caught up in a bad situation and I showed up at the right time,"

"He is lucky to have you around Lex and that he got out of that situation,"

"So true Angel," Lex agreed smiling as they enjoyed the Chinese food they had chosen to have delivered.

"Oh get this Clark is working at the Talon now i'm surprised after how he pissed off Lana,"

"Wish i was a fly on that wall," chuckling Angela nodded agreeing.

Lex's Side of the day

The next day Lex and Lucas bid Angela goodbye and left to not only head home to Smallville but also to pay a visit to Lionel.

As they arrived at Lionel's office Lex and Lucas walked in not caring if they interrupted. After a warm reunion Lionel asked Lucas to give him a moment with Lex.

"I know what you are doing. Now that Lucas is eighteen he has access to his ten percent share of Luthorcorp. Whatever you try, you will fail. Now get out," Lionel snapped out gesturing to the door.

Lex was pissed that Lionel knew something was going on but he wouldn't let it stop him.

A couple of hours later Lex and Lucas arrive in Smallville, and he decided to introduce Lucas to Clark since he considered him as his other brother.

As they pulled up to the Kent farm Lex noticed Clark and Pete playing basketball in the yard.

"Hey guys," Lex greeted as he and Lucas exited the car.

"Hey Lex,"

"Hey,"

"Guys I wanted to introduce you to Lucas, my brother,"

"I thought?," Clark asked surprised.

"So did I but Lionel lied as usual,"

"Not surprising, wanna play?," Pete asked Lucas.

"Sure," Lucas accepted the offer as Lex's pager beeped.

"Dammit I have to go,"

"Lucas can stay longer if he wants to,"

"Your choice Lucas?,"

"Sure would love to,"

"Thanks Clark," Lex said getting back into the car and taking off.

"So Lucas what's your story?,"

"Well not having my parents I grew up strong and independent and also got to move around a lot,"

"Had to be a eye opening experience,"

"It was," Lucas agreed.

As the game got more intense between the guys Clark started to use a bit of his powers. Pete tries to stop Clark, but as he tried to rein him in Lucas decided to elbow Clark in the chest and hurt himself instead.

The game ended as Pete offered to take him to Luthor castle as he gave Clark the 'come on man' look.

Two hours later Lex, after discovering he was now penniless thanks to Lionel and his back stabbing brother, arrived on the Kent's doorstep.

"Lex dear what's wrong?," Martha asked as she opened the door.

"I got screwed over by my father again. I hate to ask but can I spend a few days here til I work things out?,"

"Of course Lex," Martha ushered him in and shot a look at Jonathon.

"He can stay but he helps,"

"Of course thank you Mr Kent," with that said they all turned in for the night.

The next day Lex headed out and started helping Clark with the farm chores. Standing on the porch Jonathon turned to Clark with a smirk on his face.

"It's amusing to see Lex do farm chores, but do not leave him alone on this farm after the stunts he pulled with you and your sister,"

"I trust him but I understand dad," Clark said heading back out to help Lex finish.

"You know it's nice to do this again reminds me of the summers on our ranch in Montana with my mother we all did our fair shares there," Lex told Clark with a sad smile on his face.

The next day while Lex heads out to Metropolis to see Angela Clark heads to school. At the end of the day he heads into the Torch office at school to see Chloe.

"There was no record of Lucas before two weeks ago then suddenly his birth certificate shows up stamped by the Metropolis United Charities,"

"Can I take this?,"

"Go for it," Chloe lets him take it as he heads home to talk to Lex.

When he gets home he hands the certificate to Lex who had gotten back an hour prior and was sitting on their couch on his laptop.

Once he saw the certificate he stormed out to go deal with it.

The next day after nothing but drama in Clark's opinion between Lucas threatening to fire both him and Lana, and the fact that Lucas's ex partner from Edge city tried to kill him things weren't looking like they were going to settle down any time soon. As soon as Clark found out though that Lex had been abducted and was being held in Lionel's office in Metropolis he texted his sister and knew she would handle it.

Angela's Version

After receiving Clark's text Angela headed over to Luthorcorp and slipped inside. Seeing Lionel heading upstairs Angela chose to take the stairs and super speed up to his office. Cracking the door open as quietly as she could without alerting anyone she kept an eye on the situation.

She noticed Lex tied to a chair in the middle of the room with Lucas holding a gun to his head. That's when she and Lex realized Lionel wasn't blind anymore cause he wasn't using his cane or wearing the glasses.

Listening in she heard Lex begin to play on Lucas's insecurities. Pointing out that Lionel left Lucas to scrape by in foster care by preventing any adoptions just to see how he'd turn out. How he use to bail him out whenever he got in trouble but also tipped off the shooter.

Angela sees the opportunity as they are all distracted and uses her heat vision to burn Lucas's hand to make him drop the gun. Lionel then turned to shoot Lucas to save Lex but realized the gun was filled with blanks. It was at that moment Lionel realized they were working together and that yet again Angela had been played like a fool with her father having gotten hurt during all this too.

Angela sped out pissed off severely and headed back to her penthouse. Packing her bags she sends a text off to Clark and explains how Lex blew his chance to have her back and she was going back to Gotham City for a bit. Clark understood and said he would let Lex know and to not bother trying to get a hold of her. She was grateful to have such a wonderful brother and grabbing her bags headed down to the parking garage.

Throwing her bags in the back of her hummer she climbed and took off hitting the locking buttons on the console to make sure no one could enter the parking garage and her office while she was gone.

Without looking back Angela Kent left Metropolis yet again due to betrayal.
