I'm having a lot of fun writing this story, and I hope you're enjoying it
Hermione was at the roof again, thinking that maybe Fred would stop by, and they could finally change numbers. She didn't know exactly what attracted him to her so much, but she was excited to know more about him.
"Funny seeing you here," a voice said in her ear, startling her.
Hermione turned to see Fred laughing, and she couldn't help but smile at his laughter. Hermione liked how Fred always managed to appear around her, just like magic.
"It seems to be our favourite spot meeting," Hermione said, before blushing at what she had just said. "Not that we have a spot meeting, I'm just meant—"
"You look adorable when you get all flustered up," Fred said, grinning at her and taking one of her hands on his. "We can have a meeting spot here, and one for our official dates at the coffee shop around the corner."
"I would really like that," Hermione whispered, blushing under his stare. "I think it would also be very good if we exchange phone numbers, so we can reach out easier."
It was Fred's turn to blush, and although Hermione thought it looked adorable, making his freckles stand out, she was also suspicious about the reason why he would be blushing.
"Fred? There's something wrong?" Hermione asked, trying to understand what was going through his mind.
"It would be difficult for me to give you my phone number, since I don't have a cellphone." Fred scratched his neck and wasn't looking in her direction.
Hermione thought it was weird to an adult man not to have a cellphone, but she wasn't going to let something minor like that stop whatever was happening between her and Fred.
"Oh, that's alright. Not everyone has a cellphone, and we can find other ways to contact each other, right?" Hermione was smiling at him, trying to put him at ease.
"Yeah, of course!" Fred beamed at her and Hermione felt warm inside, just by the look of one of his smiles. She wondered how she would feel after one of his kisses. "I forgot to ask, why are you on the roof? I thought you only came up here to watch the stars."
Hermione sighed, not feeling a desire to share how shitty her day had been. The fact was, just looking at Fred's face, she felt a lot better, as if Fred was her particular sun and just being around him lifted her spirits.
"I was trying to unwind and try not to scream hoarse, and make my neighbours call the police." Hermione and Fred shared a laugh over her statement. "My boss was being a little overbearing today and the roof always seemed to help me center myself."
Fred looked at her, as if he was analysing what she was saying. Hermione felt self-conscious for a minute, before Fred tugged on her hand and before she knew it, Fred was hugging her.
It was as if she was born to be wrapped around his arms, surrounded by his scent and warmth. Suddenly, all of her bad day seemed like a distant memory, and Hermione was glad Fred was there for her.
"I'm glad you were here at the same time as me," Hermione murmured into his chest, closing her eyes.
