"Fred? What are you doing here?" Hermione asked, coming near her boyfriend. "I didn't even know you knew this place."
Fred turned to her, and was smiling at her. "Fancy seeing you here, Hermione."
She smiled at him, but he still hadn't answered her, and Hermione was starting to get curious by the minute.
"I'm having brunch with my mum," Hermione said, gesturing towards the table her mother was seated. "What about you?"
"I was passing by, and decided to enter and see if it was a nice place for a date." Fred shrugged, before smiling mischievously at her. "What do you say? This is a nice place for our date on Valentine's Day?"
Hermione smiled at him, loving how he was already making plans for Valentine's Day, and how sweet he was being about the whole ordeal.
"You're adorable," Hermione said, before quickly kissing him on the lips. "Do you want to meet my mum?"
Fred looked at the table where her mother was seated, before turning to look at her with an unreadable look on his face.
"I would love to, but unfortunately, I'm running some errands for my twin. George is too lazy to finish everything on his own, so he twisted my arm until I said yes." Fred said, chuckling a little. "It was lucky I found you today, or else, I would have missed seeing your pretty face."
Blushing, Hermione tried not to feel disappointed he was leaving already. "Well, that's too bad. But my mum agreed to a brunch at her house at the end of the month, so you'll meet her and my dad."
Fred nodded, quickly kissed her again before walking away. Hermione stood on the foyer, looking at him walk away, before coming back to her table.
"Found what you were looking for?" Helen asked, when Hermione sat in front of her. "You stayed there for a while."
"Fred was here, looking for a place for us to have a date on Valentine's Day." Hermione was smiling like a loon, and she knew her mother could see how Fred affected her. "He said he's excited to meet you and Dad."
Helen didn't say anything more, and Hermione didn't think much about it. They talked about how her parents' office was going and what their plans for Valentine's Day were.
"You didn't tell me where you met Fred, or how you two meet," Helen asked, when there's been a lure in the conversation.
"It was actually very romantic." Hermione sighed, remembering the first night they met. "I was on the roof of my flat, looking at the stars. The moon was amazing that night, and Fred was stargazing not far away from where I was."
She hadn't come back to the roof ever since that night, but maybe she and Fred could finish their Valentine's Day date there? It sounded very romantic, and it would be like they were recreating how they met.
"I think I'm going to say for us to have a picnic on the roof, Mum, what do you think?" Hermione asked Helen, wanting some maternal approval.
"If it's what your heart desires, sweetie, I think you should do it," Helen replied, looking at Hermione with a small smile.
"Then, it's decided." Hermione smiled, her brain swirling with many ideas on how to make their date perfect.
