Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you enjoy Fred and Hermione's date, as much as they're enjoying it lol
"I have a surprise for you, after we left here," Fred said to Hermione, after they had sat at their table at the restaurant. "I know you said you didn't want anything big, but humour me, please?"
Hermione could never deny anything when Fred was looking at her with puppy eyes. Their Valentine's Day date had started incredibly romantic, with Fred sending a bouquet of pink tulips to her flat, alongside her favourite chocolate bars; something she had only dreamed of receiving such a gift.
"What have you done, Fred? The gift you sent my flat this morning was amazing, and being here with you is more romantic than I expected," Hermione said, looking around her, to the decorated restaurant. "Besides, I may have a surprise planned for you too, you know?"
Fred beamed at her, as if she had told him the greatest thing in the world. "You have a surprise for me? Aww, you shouldn't have, but I'm curious. What is it?"
Hermione giggled and shook her head at him; after the mess of her thoughts the day before, she decided to go ahead with her idea of stargazing at the roof. It was where they met, and it seemed romantic.
"You'll have to wait, and you told me you have a surprise for me too," Hermione coyly said, looking at her menu. "I guess we'll have to wait for each other's surprise."
Fred chuckled, but didn't say anything else, just looking at his menu. It was sweet, Hermione thought, how they could be together without needing to fill the silence. It was the type of relationship she never thought she would get, but Fred brought it all, and she realised that she did have another gift to give to Fred tonight. She just hoped it wasn't going to backfire on her.
"So we're full of surprises today, huh?" Fred was looking at her with a smile that illuminated his whole face. "I guess we're going to have to take turns surprising the other."
Shaking her head, Hermione looked at her menu, as if she didn't already know what she was going to ask. It was just a way to hide her blushing cheeks; Fred had a way to make her blush whenever he looked at her.
"It's a pity they don't have your favourite beverage here, but I think I may be able to help you with that later," Fred said, lowering his menu and looking at her. "I wasn't going to say anything, but it's part of your surprise."
Hermione melted at the thoughtfulness of Fred, dropping her menu on the table, she grabbed Fred's hand and looking at his eyes, she decided to be brave and give him one of the gifts she was debating.
"Fred, there's something I need to tell you," Hermione said in a small voice, afraid of his reaction.
"Yes, love?" Fred was looking at her the way she ever dreamed a man would look at her.
Biting her lip, Hermione took a deep breath before deciding to go for it. "I know we have been dating for just a while, but…I'm falling in love with you. I thought you should know."
Fred beamed at her, and before Hermione knew what was happening, he was at her side, kissing her senseless.
"This is good to know," Fred whispered in her lips, "because I'm falling in love with you too."
