Lilly's POV
It was a normal Saturday morning for me. Just waking up and rolling around in bed watching youtube, until finally getting up to go do my routine in the bathroom and grabbing some breakfast downstairs. By then it was eight o'clock. Mom and dad didn't normally go to work until later on the weekends, so they were gonna be here until around three or so. They never worked very long on the weekends. Mom had been on the back porch, smoking a cigarette. I remembered last night and all of the bullshit that happened. I really hope that Humphrey was okay after last night. I'm definitely gonna call him later. For now though, I had to tell my mom about what happened. She was going to ask eventually. I ran back upstairs to throw on a sweatshirt and then went back down to go outside. Kate was still asleep as was dad so at least I could tell her myself.
I slid the back door open, causing mom to turn her head to see me. She smiled and blew the smoke out of her mouth, tapping the cigarette so that the ash fell into it's tray.
"Morning Lilly" she greeted. I smiled and walked over to sit across from her. Once I did I crossed my legs to get more comfortable.
"Hey. have you been up long?" I asked. Mom shook her head before answering.
"No, I've only been up for about an hour or so, '' she said. I nodded as I looked away from her and downward. Not knowing exactly how to bring up the topic of last night. Luckily though she did it for me. "So what happened last night? Why did Kate have to pick you up?" mom asked. Here goes.
"Well…" I began. Great, now that the conversation has started I can't think of how to actually start telling her what happened. I guess there was no way to be subtle about it. "Promise you wont be mad?" I asked.
"Mad at who?" mom asked so that she could answer me truthfully. It was always impossible for her to get mad at me or Kate. anyone else though could be fair game at any moment.
"Me" I said. I knew she would say yes, but honestly I couldn't think of any other way to come clean about this.
"Lilly, come on. I could never be mad at you or your sister. I just want to know what was so urgent" mom said. I took a deep breath before proceeding.
"So… me and Humphrey were… you know…" I started. Its weird how I could say things like having sex so comftorably in front of say Angel or Shaky, but mom who has proven to be okay with those types of things, I still couldnt bring myself to say it. An odd feeling of embarrassment always washed over me every time I went to try.
"Oh… okay, what about it. Did something go wrong?" mom asked. Good, the hard part was over. Wasn't so bad.
"Yes, Myra's boyfriend must have heard me, he barged in and started yelling at Humphrey and me. Myra tried to stop it but… they got into an argument and he ended up leaving, but I didn't want to be there after that" I explained.
"He… interrupted you? What did he say to you?" mom asked, concerned.
"That we shouldn't be doing that, that we're just kids… he doesn't even think that we're gonna be together. The way Humphrey's been talking about it makes it seem like he wants us to break up" I said.
"Why would he want you two to break up? What does he have to gain from that?" mom asked.
"He thinks Humphrey is too dependent on his mother, and that he should stop worrying about me and everyone else, and just focus on school and his mother" I said. Mom stared into my eyes and then took another long drag on her cigarette. Once she blew out again she asked me something.
"Lilly… be honest with me, after what happened do you feel comfortable going back there?" mom asked. I didn't really have to think of the answer, I had already done that on the ride home last night.
"Honestly mom, no" I said. Mom nodded and put her cigarette out.
"I'm so sorry, I know how important that place is to you. Is Myra okay?" mom asked, dropping the subject. Although that wasn't like her at all, what was she planning?
"I don't know, I was gonna call Humphrey later and check but… having her see me like that… it's kind of hard to face her" I said.
"See you like what? Exposed?" Mom quizzed.
"Exposed and… broken" I answered.
"Broken?" mom asked.
"Like crying, I was so humiliated," I explained. I noticed mom clench her hands before she stood up.
"Thanks for being honest with me Lilly, you know from what you told me I don't think that guy will be around anymore" mom said. I stood up and followed her back into the warm and cozy house.
"Hopefully" I said. I followed her until we reached the kitchen where I grabbed a bottle of water and a banana. I then went back upstairs where I fell on my bed again and pulled out my phone to message Angel, surprisingly she answered right away.
L. hey are you up?
A. Yeah, what's going on? Wanna talk?
L. yeah,
A. alright then, see ya on discord.
I tossed my phone to the side of my bed and grabbed my laptop off of my desk. I then laid down on my stomach as I opened it up. I then put in my password and hit enter. Once everything loaded up I opened the discord app and hit my direct messages. Once I found Angel who was on the top I clicked call and waited for her to answer. She ended up not answering so I clicked call again. This time she did, from the looks of it she was laying on her stomach as well, in her room which I haven't been in in a while. She was also eating a hot pocket which confused me.
"Hey Lills, whats up?" Angel greeted me. I really missed talking to her, just the two of us.
"I thought you hated hot pockets," I said. Angel took a glance at the hot pocket, and then back at the webcam.
"It's a breakfast one, not one of the nasty pizza ones that smell like shit" she explained.
"Hm" I hummed.
"So is that all? You wanted to insult my hot pocket?" Angel teased.
"No," I laughed.
"I'm just playing with ya, I miss our talks" Angel said.
"You do? It seems like we haven't talked in a while, '' I said.
"Because we haven't, and just because we haven't talked, doesn't mean that I don't love you" Angel said, causing me to smile.
"Really? I thought you were mad at me" I said. I really didn't want to be the one to bring it up, so maybe I could get her to.
"Your not talking about… that night are you?" Angel asked. I noticed her ears drp as her mood seemed to saden. I didn't say anything. I simply nodded. "Well… I'm not mad about that, your heart was in the right place. But I wouldn't let something like that ruin what you, me. And Humphrey have. You guys mean too much to me" Angel explained.
"So your not mad at me?" I asked. I know she just said she wasn't but I really wanted to be sure.
"No, the only reason I haven't been talking to you guys much is because I've been with Shaky a lot, but I'd like to hang out with you soon. I miss you" Angel said.
"That's a relief. Want to hang out this weekend?" I asked with new found excitement. My tail was wagging and everything. I really missed spending time with my best friend and the thought of it ending because I didn't know how to take a hint killed me, actually it was beyond a hint.
"What about today?" Angel asked. She then took another bite out of her hot pocket, not looking at it but instead continuing to look into the camera.
"Well I actually wanted to talk to you about that, well not about today but what happened yesterday. I'm probably gonna spend the day with Humphrey to see if he's okay" I said.
"Why? Is he okay?" Angel asked.
"I'm not sure, we were having sex last night and Lyle walked in on us. I was so embarrassed" I explained.
"Wait he walked in on you guys? What happened?" Angel asked.
"Well first of all Humphrey got off of me, and then he started ranting about how disrespectful it was that we were even doing that under the roof of Myra's house" I explained, making Angel scoff.
"Didnt you get permission from Myra to fuck under her roof?" Angel asked smugly. I giggled.
"Pretty much" I answered.
"So what, did she change her mind or something? What changed?" Angel quizzed.
"Angel it wasn't her that was mad about it, it was Lyle" I told her, thinking that she wasn't understanding what I was saying.
"Lilly I get that, but was she with him on that or did she just not try to stop him from barging in?" Angel asked.
"Oh, yeah she tried to stop him but he came in anyway. He pretty much told her that she should start being a mom. They got in a fight and Lyle ended up leaving, and I just didn't want to be there after everything. It felt awkward" I explained. Angel nodded.
"Have you texted Humphrey yet?" she asked.
"No, but I'm going to, '' I said. Angel raised her eyebrows as if telling me to do it now. So I pulled my phone out as I laughed and began messaging Humphrey. I simply asked if he was up and then sent the message :you know he's probably not going to message back for awhile, he probably isn't up yet. Honestly I'm surprised that you are '' I said.
"I go off and on when it comes to waking up early. If i'm not doing anything later I'll probably fall asleep around one or so" Angel said.
"What about Rick? Is he up?" I asked.
"Why do you want to know?" Angel smiled.
"I'm just curious," I answered.
"Well he normally wakes up around twelve, what about Kate is she up?" Angel asked.
"Last time I peeked into her room she was out cold" I explained.
"Oh yeah? What time does she normally wake up?" Angel asked, I hummed as I thought. Every Time I've noticed her wake up and come out of her room was around…
"Eleven I think," I answered.
"Unless her and Rick are together, I've never seen them leave the room one at a time, they're always together. I guess they're quiet though when they do wake up, I didn't notice when Kate left last night" Angel explained. Well she was right about that, but what about…
"Hey Angel. Have you ever heard them when they're going at it?" I asked. Angel scoffed.
"Yeah, you can tell Kate tries to be quiet but she can't. I can only imagine how loud they are when they're alone" Angel said. I laughed.
"I've heard them that loud, and you're right. Kate is the loud one" I explained. Angel laughed causing me to start laughing with her. It was little moments like this that I missed so much. We really did have to spend time together soon. My phone vibrated, grabbing my attention. I looked at it to see that it was Humphrey messaging me back.
"That him?" Angel asked.
"Yeah, give me a second" I requested.
"Go on, do your thing" Angel said before she muted herself and probably opened a youtube web page.
H. Yeah, I didn't sleep well last night. How are you doing?
L. I'm fine, when I got home last night I was exhausted. Is your mom okay? What happened after I left?
H. me and her basically just sat at the table while I calmed her down. She said she was sorry for being so blind about everything. I told her that she wasn't blind, just in denial.
L. How did she take that?
H. she cried.
L. wow, good going Humphrey.
H. I didn't mean to add on to her guilt. I'm not good with those types of things. I ended up sleeping with her though. She's still upstairs. Hasn't woken up yet.
L. I'm sure everything will work out. So no more Lyle?
H. no more Lyle.
L. good to hear. Want to come over later? Maybe we can hang out for a bit, plus I want to check on your mother.
H. What, you don't believe me?
L. Humphrey you know I do, I'm just feeling awkward with how everything went last night and want to straighten things out, plus I feel bad just disappearing on her.
H. Alright what time?
L. up to you.
H. I'll see, how about I just message you when I'm on my way.
L. Okay, see you later. Love you.
H. love you to babe.
I put my phone down and looked up at the screen to see Angel just kind of staring at it. How weird.
"Angel? Weirdo?" I called. I saw Angel as she clicked back into the app and unmuted herself.
"Did you just call me a weirdo?" she asked.
"You were just staring at the screen," I laughed.
"I was watching youtube," Angel replied. I knew it. "So how is everything?" Angel asked.
"Fine, he's probably gonna come over later so we can hang out for a bit and go over to his place, I want to check on his mom too" I explained. Angel rolled her eyes.
"Hang out, sure," she said. I smiled.
"Fuck you" I laughed,
"Guess you're stuck with me," Angel grinned.
"It's an honor" I replied. For the next couple of hours, me and Angel talked just us two for the first time in what felt like forever. We planned what we would do and when we would do it when we finally met up again to hang out. We also talked about how the whole airsoft thing would go since we were gonna be partners. Eventually though Rick ended up walking into Angel's room to see what she was up to. It started with a knock and her turning her head to the right.
"Come in," she called. I heard her bedroom door open up and saw her smile as she saw her brother. "Hey" she greeted him.
"Hey, what ya up to?" Rick asked.
"Talking to Lilly," Angel replied, turning back to the camera.
"Hey Rick" I waved. Angel scooted over while still on her stomach to make room for Rick. he ended up accepting the gesture and sat down on the bed next to her.
"Hey Lilly, Kate told me about last night, are you okay?" Rick asked as he looked down at me through the camera. I exhaled with a sideways smile.
"Yeah, it's just annoying you know?" I replied. Rick shook his head.
"Glad to say that I don't" he said. Angel then went on her phone and started doing whatever as me and Rick talked.
"Well Humphrey should be coming over shortly. Not sure what we're gonna do but I feel so awkward about the way things went last night" I explained.
"I would imagine so, sorry I pulled her away from you" I apologized, hopefully he wasn't mad at me. I knew he wouldn't be though but I still felt bad.
"Don't be, you needed her and I woulda came over to but she insisted that I didn't. I'm just glad you and Humphrey are okay" Rick said, making me smile and Angel scoff. Rick turned to her with a slight frown. "What do you mean ugh" Rick asked sarcastically making me giggle, I loved watching these two bicker with each other.
"That is just… such a you thing to say" Angel said, as she continued to look at her phone. Rick simply turned back to the camera and pointed at her with his thumb. I laughed again.
"Want to say hi to Kate?" I asked as I continued laughing.
"I'll always take the opportunity to see her, thank you" Rick answered. I nodded and picked up the laptop, walking over to her room which was cracked open. I knocked, causing the door to swing open slightly more, revealing Kate on her bed, laying down and playing with her phone while the TV was on. She glanced from her phone and over to the door.
"Hey Lilly, what's up?" she asked. I opened the door fully and walked over to her bed where I sat down on the right side of it and placed the laptop down in front of me and angled it to where we could both see it. Kate looked at the laptop and smiled once she saw Rick and Angel.
"Hey Kate," Rick greeted. Kate put her phone down and sat up a bit.
"Hey guys, what are you up to?" Kate asked.
"Not much, just talking to Lilly and killing time" Angel said, putting her phone down to give my sister her full attention.
"How long have you been up?" I asked, turning to Kate. I asked because it was one in the afternoon and mom and dad would be heading off to work soon.
"About an hour or so," Kate answered. I hummed shortly and turned back to the laptop.
"So Kate, any plans for later?" Rick asked. Kate smiled again.
"Why, do you want to come over and spend time with me?" she asked. Rick chuckled and turned to Angel for a second. Angel simply raised her eyebrows for a second. Rick turned back to the camera.
"You know that no sane person could ever get enough of you," Rick said. I turned to Kate again.
"Since Humphrey is coming over, why don't you and Rick hang out?" I asked.
"Okay, but what about Angel?" Kate asked. We looked back at the screen as Angel did the same, taking glances in between Rick and us as Rick looked at her too.
"I'll message Shaky or something. I don't want to be a fifth wheel by myself while you four bone it out" Angel smirked.
"Who said anything about boning?" I smiled.
"Come on, you guys alone there, the opportunity presenting itself, the fact that you guess never pass that up" Angel explained. I heard Kate snicker, making me smile again. I couldn't help but find it funny.
"Fine then suit yourself. When's a good time to come over?" Rick asked. Kate giggled again.
"Whenever you want," she answered. Rick nodded.
"Alright then, I'll be over in like thirty?" Rick asked.
"Sounds good to me," Kate answered.
"Yeah, Humphrey should be over soon," I added.
"Alright then, see you two soon" Rick said before getting up, but when he did he turned back to Angel. "You sure you want to stay here?" he asked.
"I have options Rick, besides I dont wanna ruin your time together. We'll do something another day alright?" Angel asked.
"Aw Angel '' Kate said, I could tell that she kind of felt bad leaving her out.
"Don't feel bad, we have a lot of time to hang out with each other, all six of us," Angel said.
"Sounds fine, love you" Rick said.
"Love you too" Angel replied before getting a kiss on the cheek from Rick. I could slightly see in the background Angel's tail start to wag after he kissed her. How cute. Once Rick left Angel turned back to the camera. "I guess I'll let ya get ready Lills" she said.
"Alright, love ya girl" I teased.
"I love you guys too, bye" Angel said.
"Bye" me and Kate said together, Kate raising her hand slightly to wave at her. After that Angel hung up, ending the call after hours of talking, it felt so good to finally talk to her again.
"Well then, the boys will be over soon, guess we better get a move on '' Kate said as she sat up and stretched. It's not like there was that much to do, just a bit of freshening up.
"I don't think Rick will care if you stay the way you are, you look fine" I said.
"Yeah but it's not just that, I sorta still have bed head ya know?" Kate asked. I rolled my eyes.
"I'm pretty sure Rick, and any other guy for that matter finds your bed head to be a turn on" I said as I collected my laptop and got up to walk out of the room. I guess that little bit of convincing worked because Kate shrugged and laid back down on her bed to continue watching what she was watching before I walked in. It wasn't until around 2:40 when mom and dad had already left that I heard the doorbell ring. I paused the game I was playing and headed down the stairs to answer it. Thanks to me not wearing a headset I was able to actually hear the doorbell. Reaching the bottom of the stairs I turned to my left and looked through the peephole. Thankfully it was Humphrey, not that I wouldn't have been happy to see Rick, but I really needed to see Humphrey after last night. Quickly I unlocked the door and opened it up and was immediately hit with the cold air from outside. The sky was completely gray and cloudy and from the looks of it it was gonna rain soon.
"Humphrey" I said as I hugged him. He hugged me back and patted me.
"Hey, sorry about last night" he apologized again. I broke the hug and gave him a small kiss.
"Don't be, it wasn't your fault" I said, staring into his eyes. "Here come in," I said, stepping back into the house. Once Humphrey was inside I shut the door. "Are you thirsty or anything?" I asked.
"Not yet, so your room?" Humphrey asked.
"Sure," I said. We both began walking up the stairs where we were greeted by Kate, well her voice anyway calling from her room.
"Hey Lilly? Was that Rick or Humphrey?" she asked. I went to answer her but Humphrey took a step forward, putting his head through the crack in between the door and the door frame.
"Hey Kate," Humphrey greeted.
"Oh, hey Humphrey. Good to see you again" she said as she came over after getting up out of her bed and hugging him. He accepted the hug, Kate pulling back a bit to make eye contact with him. "How are you doing?" she asked as she tilted her head, sympathy in her eyes.
"Fine, fine. Not sure what you and Rick are gonna do but me and Lilly are probably gonna hang here for a bit and then I'll take her to g see my mom" Humphrey explained. Kate looked at me for a moment and then back at Humphrey.
"You know, I kind of want to see her too, she didn't sound too good last night. Mind if we come along?" Kate asked. Humphrey broke the hug and smirked.
"As long as you and Rick aren't too busy then yeah" he said.
"There's much more to our relationship then just sex you know" Kate said. Humphrey and I laughed, causing Kate to roll her eyes and step back into her room and out of the hallway. Humphrey then followed me into my room where I closed the door and we both sat on the bed. We sat in silence for a moment until I grabbed both of Humphrey's hands and sighed before looking into his eyes.
"So any word from Lyle?" I asked.
"No… none, but it's still soon so I don't know" Humphrey explained. He seemed unsure about the way he was talking. After everything I wasn't sure whether or not he had lost faith in his mom.
"Your mom won't talk to him again, she made a mistake and she knows that now" I assured. Humphrey nodded and then looked down at our hands which were still connected. I then started to laugh lightly, causing Humphrey to look up at me again.
"What?" he asked with a small grin.
"Did you even finish last night? You were really close, there's no way that didn't suck" I smiled. Humphrey began laughing.
"Oh fuck… I shot my load while I was in the shower" he said, causing me to laugh again.
"I knew you couldn't just not finish" I laughed. We heard the doorbell ring from downstairs. Already I knew who it was, and already I heard Kate descending down the stairs to answer it. Humphrey and I then looked back at each other again. "You know… they're gonna be getting pretty busy real soon… and we have a bit to make up for" I said suggestively as I let go of one of Humphrey's hands to trace my thumb around his lip. Carefully and with his free hand, he grabbed ahold of it and kissed it gently. I giggled and got closer to him, pressing my body up against his.
"So is this why you called me over here?" Humphrey asked with a goofy grin. I giggled again.
"Yeah… definitely" I answered before pressing my lips up against his and scooping his warm tongue up with mine, mixing our sweet saliva. As I closed my eyes I started to wrap my arms around him to pull him on top of me, spreading my legs and moaning into the kiss as I relaxed. Humphrey broke the kiss to plant a few loving pecks on my neck. He then slid himself in between my legs as I spread them open for him. I moaned lightly as he started to dry hump me, making me feel him growing erect and ready for me. I bit my lip to prevent me from moaning too loud, but caught a break once Humphrey lifted himself up to take his shirt off. I took the opportunity to do the same, tossing it to the side as well as my bra. Afterwards we went back to what we were doing. It would only be a matter of minutes now until our pants were off as well and we were under the covers in the same safe place that I had come to love. Except that safe place was no longer safe and was a simple immersion that was shattered as soon as Lyle came through that door, putting me in what felt like an eternal embarrassment. Even if the door was locked, his aggressiveness would most likely cause him to barge in any way, same result. It was here that I no longer felt relaxed and felt myself grow terrified by what could happen. What if my dad came home and I didnt hear it, what would he do? What if it was mom and she for some reason didn't approve? Even so nothing could shake the feeling of paranoia of what could happen at any moment. I wasn't safe here.
"Humphrey stop!" I said in a panic. He did and got off of me immediately, checking my body for something.
"Oh God I'm sorry. Did I hurt you?" he asked kindly. I sat up and reached for my shirt, immediately putting it back on. "Lilly, what's wrong?" Humphrey asked with worry in his eyes. I turned to him as I felt tears welling up.
"I-I… I'm sorry Humphrey, I just can't" I said as I began crying. I saw Humphrey's face turn sad as his ears lowered, not because he wasn't gonna get any, but because he knew exactly what the problem was.
"Come here" he said, pulling me into a hug. I nuzzled into his chest as I cried. He held me and began to stroke my hair. "Shhh, it's okay… I know you're scared after what happened. I'm sorry that it did" he cooed.
"I-it was a healthy th-thing for us… and now I just…" I sniffed until I couldn't hold it and began crying again with no words. Humphrey didn't mind though, he just continued holding me. Three knocks were then heard at my bedroom door.
"Come in," Humphrey said. The door creaked open and I turned to see Kate poke her head in with a look of concern.
"Are you guys alright?" she asked. I could see Rick standing behind her with a similar expression.
"Yeah, we just need a minute," Humphrey said. Kate nodded and then shut the door. After that no words were exchanged. Humphrey just continued to calm me and hold me as I cried into his chest.
