After spending the afternoon in the park, Hermione finally dragged Fred to her flat. In an unspoken agreement, they both ended up on the roof, but Fred stopped dead in his tracks at the sight in front of him.

Hermioone had hung fairy lights all around the bannister, and made a makeshift bed with blankets and soft pillows in the middle. It was a hidden getaway, and Hermione was proud of her work.

"You did all of this…for us?" Fred asked, looking at everything with awe written all over his face.

"I thought it was a good idea to finish our Valentine's Day here," Hermione murmured, biting her lip. She was nervous, not knowing what Fred would think of her assembly. "Did you like it?"

"Like it? Hermione, I love it! It's perfect!" Fred was suddenly in front of her, grabbing her in his arms, and crushing his lips into hers. "This is one of the most thoughtful things anyone has ever done for me."

She blushed, loving the attention Fred was giving her. Hermione always dreamed of being with someone that would worship her just like Fred was doing, and her self-esteem had received a boost of confidence ever since she had met Fred.

"I thought we could stargaze tonight, but be comfortable while doing it," Hermione whispered into his mouth, not willing to let him go. "What do you say?"

"I think this is one of the best ideas I ever heard," Fred whispered back before kissing her one more time before letting her go. "Did you plan to spend the night here?"

Hermione looked at him, thinking about what he asked. It wasn't in her plans to spend the night on the roof—it wasn't what she was planning when she thought about the surprise she planned for Fred—but looking at his face, seeing him look at her with such tenderness in his eyes, Hermione found her answer.

"If you're staying with me, I would love to," Hermione answered, looking at Fred, asking him with her eyes.

"I would love nothing more than to stay with you here, especially if I can hold you in my arms all night." Fred was looking at her with so many feelings in his eyes, it was impossible for her to even think straight. "Let's go."

He took her hand in his, and walked towards the makeshift bed, pulling her towards him. Hermione hugged him, and put her head on his chest, loving to hear the way his heart was beating. It was almost like it was a lullaby.

"Hey, don't go falling asleep on me now," Fred joked, shaking Hermione a little. "You did all this just to fall asleep the moment you got me in this bed?"

"My plan was never to get you into bed, it was just to spend some time together," Hermione mumbled, feeling a little sleepy. "You make me feel whole, like you're home."

Fred was quiet for a moment, and Hermione feared she had said it too much, but Fred just hugged her tighter to him.

"When we're together, I also feel like we're whole," Fred whispered in her ear and Hermione smiled bigger than she ever was. "I think this is what falling in love means."

"I couldn't agree more," Hermione whispered into his heart, loving the way Fred was making her feel.
