Sun rays woke her up. Blinking, Hermione tried to remember what happened the night before. She remembered coming to the roof with Fred, and they stayed on the makeshift bed she made and they stargazed…but she didn't remember coming down to her flat.
"It's been a while since I slept so well," a voice from her side, making Hermione turn to the bright blue eyes of Fred. "I also never woke up so early, not ever since I was in school."
"Oh my gosh," Hermione whispered, realisation dawning on her that she and Fred had slept together on the roof. "I didn't plan this when I asked you to come to the roof with me."
Fred chuckled and the anxiety stirring in her stomach melted away. "I know, Hermione, don't need to fret. I guess we just fell asleep."
Nodding, she was startled to realise she had never slept better than she had when Fred was near her. It was the first time they were in a bed together—even if she wouldn't call the blanket's mound a proper bed—it was like the perfect ending for their date.
"It was the best sleep I had in a long time too," Hermione murmured, looking at how bright Fred's eyes seemed in the daylight. "I'm not even mad that we woke up so early."
Fred laughed and Hermione smiled softly; Fred brought a more carefree side of her. She knew she had a tendency to overthink and get anxious when things didn't go the way she thought it would go, but if something went wrong while doing something with Fred, she just laughed.
"I think this is the perfect opportunity for us to go get some breakfast," Fred said, sneaking a hand around her waist and bringing her closer to him. "What do you say?"
Hermione's thoughts went awry when Fred's lip came in contact with her neck; it had always been her soft spot. Fred was playing with her mind and she wasn't even mad at him about it.
"Hum? What do you say, Hermione? Do you want to go grab breakfast with me?" Fred whispered into her neck, and continued assaulting it.
"I would do anything you want, as long as you continue to kiss me like this," she said, before she could stop herself. "I mean—"
"I know what you meant," Fred said, chuckling and giving her one last peck on her neck. "My mind also goes all mushy when you kiss me."
Hermione looked at him, trying to understand what he meant, but his eyes were clear of anything. Shaking her head, she lifted her head and kissed him on the lips, loving the feel of his lips on hers.
"I would love to go get breakfast with you, but I think we can stay here a little while longer, before we have to face the outside world," Hermione said, looking at him with a smile. "What do you say?"
"Your wish is my command, milady," Fred said, before starting kissing her again and Hermione's mind forgot all about the worries that plagued her. She was focused now on Fred's lips.
