Kates POV
"Could ya please just drop it?" Shaky asked as he sat next to me in the booth of the restaurant. Rick sat next to my right as everyone else was to my left in their own order. Shaky, Angel, Lilly, Humphrey, and Salty just barely managing to squeeze in on the end.
"Come on Shakes. Whatever you have planned can't be that embarrassing" I said to him. He looked nervous as he was trying to keep whatever valentine's day plans he had anyway from us.
"It's not that I'm embarrassed it's that…" he began, but didn't even try to finish his sentence. He simply froze up again.
"What are you guys looking at me for? I have no idea what he's planning either" Angel said, after me and Humphrey turned to her as if asking her to answer the question. It was now the weekend and since I had been feeling better for the past couple of days I had left my house finally, got a new toothbrush, and decided to meet up with everyone after not seeing them in school. I hadn't seen Rick either since I didn't want to get him sick. It was fine though, he got to spend some time with his parents and sister, even though Angel had spent a majority of the time with Shaky and Humphrey. From what I heard Humphrey was feeling pretty lonely too, since Lilly had stayed at the house with me. Now that we had all finally met up though, we were waiting for our food and the topic of valentine's day plans had just come up. Shaky intrigued us though once Angel asked what they were doing and he didn't answer. Now we were all on him.
"Shaky?" I pushed, raising my eyebrows gently as if to get him to tell us. Rick had told me I was really good with this type of thing, and I knew that Shaky had a thing for me, so I decided to put it to the test. It worked.
"I… the truth is I…" he still didn't answer so I tilted my head a bit to push him more. "I don't have any idea what to do, I didn't want to say it but…" Shaky finally admitted.
"That's it? I thought it was something more devastating" Angel laughed.
"Aww Shaky. You know it doesn't have to be a huge thing, it could be something as simple as spending time together" I told him, with a hand on his shoulder.
"Oh yeah? What are you and Rick doing?" Shaky asked. I turned to my right to see if I would get an answer since I wondered this myself.
"That is a surprise," Rick said confidently.
"See that right there, plus I feel like I really don't wanna fuck up" Shaky said. Angel smiled with her ears down as I guess she felt bad for the guy.
"Shaky, why do you worry so much?" she asked.
"Because I don't wanna disappoint you" Shaky answered, looking at the table. Angel looked over to me, like she was giving another aww.
"You know what's weird? I never thought I would see him like this over a girl" Humphrey said before taking a sly sip of his drink. Lilly smacked him on the shoulder. "What? It's true, '' he added.
"I guess it's because he never acted this way with any other girlfriend he had," Salty said. Oh yeah, I totally forgot that he had other girlfriends.
"Goes to show how much he cares for me," Angel said, holding Shaky's back.
"What about you guys?" Shaky asked, looking over to Lilly and Humphrey. The pair looked at each other with a smile and then back to him.
"Dinner and then a love retreat. Nothing fancy" Humphrey smiled. Shaky groaned.
"A love retreat? Why didn't I think of that?" he asked out loud. I then let go of Shaky finally to lean over to Rick.
"You know, you got me really curious about our night" I said, hoping that he would at least give me something. Well he did, but not about the night. He chuckled and then gave my lips a peck. Ever since we met up again we have been all over each other. We couldn't keep our hands, mouths or body's to ourselves. It was a shame that we were not alone, other wise things would get sexy quick. I guess that's what happens when we don't see each other for almost a full week. Even more so when we dont have sex for over two weeks. The more I was with him the more I was starting to discover my needs as a woman. And now that we were back and I wasn't sick anymore I was more than ready to get down and dirty.
"Kate?" Rick said. I opened my eyes and realized that I was still going in for kisses. I hadn't even noticed due to my infinite amount of dirty thoughts. But holy shit, they just kept coming. This is how it felt when I was a virgin, feeling hungry for Rick. fingering myself every night, creating a waterfall down myself. Oh the thirst. I snapped out of it though and leaned back and off of Rick.
"Woah uh… sorry" I said. The others laughed, making me grow bright red from my burning cheeks. I needed some relief or I was gonna explode.
"You okay Kate? You seem… distracted" Shaky said. Now it was my turn to not answer from embarrassment. Luckily Lilly was there to bail me out.
"I think she's just… overdue," she smiled. Shaky turned to me again.
"You plan on sleeping with Rick tonight?" he asked. I choked on my own words.
"I um… I wanted to but… didn't you guys want to have that war tomorrow?" I asked. They had been planning this airsoft war for a long time, and I really wanted to use the gun that Rick had gotten me. Yeah my itch was bad but I didn't want that to ruin the fun.
"Couldn't you guys still do that and meet up tomorrow?" Salty asked. He then took a moment to look around the table to get an answer out of anyone who wanted to give one.
"Well they could, but the way we do airsoft is a tad bit different than normal" Angel said, making a gesture with her hand.
"How so?" Salty asked.
"Well, we pick our partners, and then the area where we're gonna play, and then pick a starting point for our team. Now normally we play at the abandoned sand plant next to the river because it gives us a lot of room. Once everything is picked we stay the night over our partner's house and then go to our starting point the next day at a certain time" Shaky explained. Salty looked lost though.
"Don't worry, I'm still getting used to it too" I admitted.
"Oh come on Kate. it is not that complicated" Humphrey said. I gave him a smirk in response, making him laugh.
"We're still gonna have the same partners right?" Shaky asked. Lilly rolled her eyes.
"Yes Shaky. You can have Rick" She said. Shaky fist pumped the air, making me giggle at the goofiness.
"I guess that means it's still you and me then" Humphrey said as he looked at me.
"Oh yeah, I forgot that you're my partner. How good are ya?" I asked. Humphrey seemed to stop and think about an answer. Rick already had one though.
"He's actually not bad. He's a really good shot as long as he has that pussy stick" he explained. I laughed at the unknown terminology that Rick just layed on me.
"Pussy stick?" I laughed.
"It's a sniper, '' Angel said. I turned to her with the same smile on my face, and then over to Humphrey.
"You have a sniper? Does it hurt to get hit with?" I asked, looking around the table.
"It does," Shaky said, raising his hand slightly. I turned back to Humphrey with a smile.
"Alright, then I guess you're sleeping at my place tonight' I said. I saw Angel and Lilly turn to each other and give an excited nod, I guess they were happy to be partners.
"Didnt you and Humphrey play airsoft not too long ago?" Shaky asked Rick.
"Yeah, it was when he bought Kate's gun," Humphrey answered.
"That's a really nice gun, you did shoot it a couple of times didn't you?" Angel asked me.
"Yeah, it took some getting used to but I think I got it" I replied with a smile. Angel nodded in response and then out of the corner of my eye I saw Rick smile slightly at his sister.
"You know, after valentine's day is said and done we have to start thinking about the next event" he said. Angel looked over to him with her ears slightly down. She still had a smile on herself though.
"Oh no, Rick, I don't want to make a big deal about it," Angel said, making me grow curious. Somehow I wasn't catching on.
"What? Make a big deal of what?" I asked. Lilly was the next to grow a smile on her face as she turned to her best friend.
"Come next week, it's Angel's birthday, '' she said excitedly. Angel laid her head on her hand as she looked slightly embarrassed with a slight smirk.
"Not only that, but this is the biggest one of them all, '' Shaky added. I felt myself grow excited for her, I didn't know her birthday was so close.
"Any plans for a sweet sixteen?" Lilly asked, leaning in with an arm around her. Angel smirked as she avoided eye contact with anybody at the table.
"I guess… what we're doing right now?" she suggested. A couple of us groaned from the boring answer. "What? I don't wanna ask for a bunch of unrealistic things, or things that you have to go out of your way for. I just wanna spend some time with you guys'' Angel said.
"Alright, so I can start looking into a resort," Shaky said. Angel's head snapped over to him as her ears now perked up.
"What? No no no no no, I don't want to make a big deal about it" Angel said. Rick laughed.
"Oh Angel, in case you couldn't tell Kate, Angel hates asking for things that she thinks are too big or are going to pull attention to her," he explained. I was getting the hint though.
"Well we're not going to let it be boring, it's you're sweet sixteen" Lilly said. Angel rolled her eyes.
"Turning sixteen just doesn't seem important to me. What's so special about it? I never understood that" Angel explained. Humphrey shrugged.
"Who the hell cares? We just want to give you a good time" he said. Angel smiled at him.
"I appreciate it, but really guys. We can just hang out like we are now" Angel said.
"Hm, it will be a start" Lilly said.
"Plus, you know mom and dad are gonna want to do that with you anyway" Rick added.
"I know but that's more than enough," Angel said. I shook my head.
"Come on Angel, this is the first birthday I'm going to participate in with you. So I'm goin all out" I said. Angel laughed with a face palm as she accepted her fate.
"You guys spoil me," she said.
"And you're going to let us," Lilly replied. I felt a hand on my back at that moment. It was Rick giving me a small rub. I turned to him briefly and smiled before turning back to the others.
"So what did you want for your birthday?" Shaky asked. Angel shrugged.
"Not anything really. But I know that you guys will want to get me something so I'll start thinking" Angel answered. Shaky pulled her close to him briefly so that he could kiss the top of her head.
"Sounds fine" he said. I saw Humphrey look up for a moment before tapping Lilly.
"Foods here guys" he announced. I turned slightly to see our waitress coming over to us with the tray in her hand, carrying our various dishes. This was gonna be a good eat.
I ended up letting Lilly take my car home along with Angel. Since they were going to be partners tomorrow they drove to Rick's house while Rick stayed over at Shaky's for the night. Humphrey on the other hand would be staying at my place. Before we left I made sure that Lilly would be alright driving, yes she had driven before but not at night. She assured me that she wouldn't get in an accident even though that's the whole reason you call it an accident, because you didn't mean for it to happen. I accepted though and hugged her goodbye. I told Humphrey that I would meet him at my place and then Shaky had left after saying his goodbyes to me. Now it was just me and Rick. I clung to him desperately, shoving my tongue down his throat.
"Oh God, I really dont wanna leave you. I've been dripping" I breathed. Rick gave my tongue a long lick before replying.
"I know, but Humphrey is waiting for you," Rick replied. I whimpered and gave him another kiss. I knew Humphrey would be waiting for me, but I didn't care. I needed Rick to put this fire out for me. But I also felt a little shunned, I won't lie. It had felt like forever since Rick touched me. I was beginning to feel as though he didn't want me, but at the same time, I felt like I was overthinking it.
"Oh, you still love me don't you?" I asked sadly. I wanted a real answer while also trying not to seem like I was being too serious. Rick pulled back a bit from my grasp for a moment.
"Of course I love you Kate. we'll make love soon I promise. Valentine's day is coming up after all" Rick said, caressing my cheek. I smiled, feeling a bit better and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"It's just been so long," I said. Rick nodded sadly. He then gently grabbed both of my hands and held them.
"I know… but you just started feeling better again. I do want you Kate. but come on, we're in a parking lot right now" Rick replied with a slight smile at the end. I giggled.
"I… I guess I just feel like you're starting not to want me I mean… you haven't touched me in so long and… I guess it feels like you aren't making an effort" I admitted finally, getting it out there. It felt good and I just wanted to talk about it. Even if I was in the wrong. Rick seemed a bit upset though.
"Kate… I… I love you, I'll always love you. There's so much more to my love than just sex. Can I just take care of you sometimes? Or hold you? Spend time with you?" Rick listed. Now I felt like an asshole. All the years I spent trying to get a guy that didn't just want me for my body, and now I felt like the tables have turned. Now I am that person, this really was the guy of my dreams. But then again…
"But… making love has always been our thing, it's how we express it the best" I said. Rick rubbed his thumb on my hand as he continued to hold it, I felt like I was making the poor guy nervous.
"Kate, you have no idea how much I think about making sweet love to you, I think about it almost every night. Like you always said, it's just… so much more than sex" Rick explained. I nodded. A gust of wind came blowing just then, moving my unzipped sweatshirt with it. Rick smiled again.
"What?" I asked with a smile.
"You really are horny aren't you?" Rick asked. I guess the wind made him smell me. I laughed and looked down in embarrassment. Rick let go of my left hand just then and guided my face back up to his. He then let go of my right hand but did something different. My smile faded as he brought his lips to mine but didn't kiss me, he kept his hand holding my chin and with his other hand reached down to my crotch area and gently cupped it. I gasped and felt a bit of myself release from just the touch. Thank God we parked behind the restaurant and were out of view. Rick dug his fingers into me a bit through my pants, making me gasp even more. "I still want you," he whispered. Finally he guided my muzzle just a bit further and scooped up my tongue with his own, licking it around, and swapping our saliva. I moaned and wrapped my arms around his back, and then found myself slightly thrusting into his fingers just to get off. He chuckled into the kiss and broke it with a wet smack. I breathed shakily.
"Your touch really is the best," I said. We shared a breathy laugh before Rick spoke again.
"Do you believe me now?" Rick asked. Again I felt like an asshole. I smiled and tilted my head a bit.
"Never doubted you," I said gently. Rick chuckled again and gave me another smooch before letting me go, in both places sadly, leaving me even more drenched and horny.
"We'll get there Kate, I promise. And when we do, it will make it that much more rewarding" Rick assured, walking to his truck and hopping in. I sighed with the same smile on my face and turned around to get in my car. Once inside I turned it on and drove off, only after watching Rick leave though. I had so much on my mind now.
"What took ya so long?" Humphrey asked jokingly after I got out of my car. I took out my house key and strolled up to the house.
"I had to talk with Rick about something" I answered, walking past him and over to the door. Humphrey then ran over to me as I unlocked the door.
"About what?" he asked. I sighed.
"Not much, I'll tell you about it in a minute. You have your guns right?" I asked.
"Yep, all in the car" Humphrey answered.
"Good, then we're all set for tomorrow" I replied, getting the door opened. When we walked in, mom and dad were sitting at the table eating food. It looked like they had ordered out.
"Hey. you guys have fun?" mom asked.
"Yeah, we didn't do much, just ate and got ready for tomorrow" I answered.
"What's tomorrow?" dad asked.
"Oh, we're having an airsoft battle tomorrow," Humphrey answered. Mom then turned to me again.
"I didn't know you were into that," she said.
"Seemed like fun, and if Lilly can be good at it, I can be great at it" I joked. Mom cracked a smile and then asked.
"Where is Lilly?"
"Over at Angel's, we're gonna meet up tomorrow but since Angel is her partner, she's staying over there" I explained.
"Ah, so you two are partners then?" mom asked.
"Yep, Humphrey's gonna show me the ropes" I said excitedly.
"Wow, I'm surprised that you and Rick aren't partners. Or at the very least do a couples game" mom replied.
"I wanted him as my partner but Shaky snatched him because he's good apparently" I explained. Humphrey crossed his arms and then smirked at me. "What?" I asked.
"Sorry I ain't Rick" Humphrey teased. Dad snickered, causing me to look over at him for a moment. I smirked as well and shook my head.
"Well, from what I heard you're a really good shot" I said as I started backing up to the stairs.
"What are you two gonna do?" dad asked.
"Probably hang out and go to sleep" I said as I turned around to go up the stairs. "Come on Humphrey," I said.
"Yeah yeah. I'm comin" Humphrey said as he followed me up the stairs. I heard mom and dad continue their conversation as we reached the top and entered my room.
"So I'm assuming that you're sleeping in Lilly's bed?" I asked as I switched my light on.
"Yeah. did you want to just go to bed?" Humphrey asked. I sat on the bed and laughed.
"No, we can still hang out for a bit. We almost never hang out, just us two" I said. I took my shoes and sweatshirt off and laid down. I would wait until he was out of the room to take my jeans off. "Want to watch a movie?" I asked.
"What do ya got?" Humphrey said, turning to the TV with his hands in his pockets.
"Don't worry Humphrey, I changed my sheets and stuff, you wont get sick" I laughed. Humphrey's eyes widened a bit.
"What? No it's not that" he panicked. I laughed again.
"I'm just screwing with you. Come on, lay down" I offered, patting Rick's spot on the bed. Humphrey sat down at first to take his shoes off. Unlike me though he kept his jacket on. I turned the TV on as he laid down next to me, and now with him so close I could smell his cologne. It smelled really good. As I browsed my streaming apps I finally thought of something. "You know, it just occurred to me that I don't really know what you like to watch," I said. Humphrey shrugged.
"Anything as long as it's not boring" he said.
"Hm" I hummed, going back to searching. As I searched the room was silent. Nothing but the clicking of the remote.
"So… what kept ya?" Humphrey asked again. Without turning my head, I looked at him before looking back at the TV.
"Um… we were talking about… an issue" I said, for lack of a better word.
"Issue?" Humphrey asked, surprised. "You two are so happy, what issue could you two have?" he asked.
"Well it wasn't really an issue it was just that… I dont know, I guess I feel like we havnt had sex in so long, I mean it has been a while. Not since we were snowed in, and then I got sick and… we just haven't done anything. I just wanted to know if maybe… I don't know, he lost interest" I explained.
"Oh Kate. I don't think he'll ever lose interest in you. Do you know how much he loves you?" Humphrey asked me.
"Oh I know, he assured me. I was just overthinking it. I feel like an asshole for it. For even thinking about it. But he kinda proved that he is most definitely still interested. I should have never thought otherwise. Part of me feels like I don't deserve him" I admitted. Humphrey offered a saddened expression.
"Kate…" he began.
"No really. For the past couple of years I've wanted nothing more than a loving guy who takes care of me, both that way and sexualy. But mostly in a way to where he just loves me for me. I finally have that now and… it's like now all I can think about is sex" I ranted.
"I mean, we're really all just horny teens. It's bound to happen. I mean we know that he loves you, but do you love him for him?" Humphrey asked. I felt myself grow confused.
"Of course I do?" I answered. Why would he ask me such a question,
"Then there's nothing to feel bad for. You both have your needs, and when the time is right you'll fulfill those needs" Humphrey explained. Oh, that's why he asked me that. To prove a point. "I mean, me and Lilly haven't done anything since the snow in either. I know she's probably long over due for her needs, but knowing the way you are. You have a love that needs to be shown a lot. You have a lot to share. So whatever she's going through is cranked up to a thousand with you. You're not using him, you're just overdue to show how much you love him" Humphrey explained. I nodded slowly finally.
"I guess…" I said.
"I guess it's good you talked to him about it still, everyone's always saying that communication is key. So it's good that you guys talked it through" Humphrey said. Again I nodded, but part of me still felt unsatisfied.
"Hey… could you give me a minute? I'll be right back" I said, handing him the remote.
"Oh. yeah, I'll find something" Humphrey answered.
"Thanks" I replied, throwing my sweatshirt back on again and walking out of the room. I then went downstairs where my parents were still eating.
"Everything okay?" mom asked.
"Yeah, I just need to do something" I called back. Once I was down the hall and in the living room, I slid the patio door open and stepped out onto the back porch where instantly I got hit with the cool weather and the sound of the night crickets. I closed the door and sat down on one of the patio chairs before dialing Rick. it rang twice before he picked up.
"Hey Kate, what's up?" he asked. I felt myself start to feel sad as I heard his voice. How could I ever doubt him?
"Hey Rick I… I wanted to call you and-" I began but I heard another voice.
"Who is it?" It was Shaky.
"It's Kate, hold on," Rick told him. I laughed briefly as Rick put the phone back to his ear. "Sorry" he said.
"It's fine, listen Rick I… I wanted to say I'm sorry" I said. There was a brief pause before I heard his voice again.
"Sorry for what?" he asked.
"For doubting you, I feel terrible for it" I cracked, starting to tear up.
"Aw Kate. don't feel bad, I know things have been rough for you lately. Just try not to think about it" Rick said.
"I'm not, but I just wanted you to know that I love you… I love you so much" I said. I heard Rick chuckle lightly.
"I love you too Kate" he said, making me laugh shakily.
"No really… you're the best thing that ever could have happened to me. I just want to be with you right now" I told him.
"We'll be together soon Kate. and not long after that it will be just us for the weekend. We can catch up on our feelings then" Rick said.
"Okay" I said, again feeling excited with a slight wag of my tail. I really couldn't stand to be away from him. "I love you" I added in almost a whisper.
"I love you too, goodnight" Rick said.
"Sweet dreams" I told him before hanging up. Now I sat in the chair listening to the crickets. I felt so lonely. I really did love him. I could just… never repay him for making me as happy as he has. And to think that I once never paid him any attention. What was I thinking? I stood up and brushed myself off, entering the house again and going back upstairs.
"Everything alright?" Humphrey asked. I took my jacket off again and laid down next to him. He had already chosen south park to watch while I was down stairs. Good choice I guess.
"Yeah I just… needed to talk with Rick again" I said.
"About what we talked about?" Humphrey asked.
"No, it was about the weekend," I answered.
"Ah," Humphrey replied. We then laid down watching three episodes of South park. We grew tired near the end of the third episode and once it was over, Humphrey and I said our goodnights and parted ways.I took off my jeans and slid under the covers. As I drifted off to sleep I thought about tomorrow and the possibilities. But most of all, I couldn't stop thinking about Rick. Everything was perfect. Things seemed to have calmed down, and I had the perfect boyfriend and a family of my own. It was as if I needed nothing more in my life. I was happy.
