A/N: This is the fic of the month... turns out I did a good chunk of the writing long ago and I'm so glad I did... For those that haven't heard I've been depressed because my mom is in the hospital... I was worried I would miss updating this, but I didn't have to worry... Also for those who have yet to vote the fic of the month poll has been up since the start of the month so please vote... Anyways enjoy the chapter...
Chapter 12: The Labyrinth
It was morning on the Merry Go… and none of the reincarnated pirates had much sleep… it didn't affect Zoro or Robin very much… they seemed fairly normal as if they did get the normal mount of sleep that night… Sanji was okay too… but he did look a little tired, same with Nami and Ko, while Usopp and Chopper looked extremely tired… Luffy… fell asleep in his food.
"I'd worry about him… but it seems he's still eating…" said Alice.
"He sleep eats?" asked Bailey.
"Yeah…" said Nami with a sweat drop.
Megan began to poke him with a stick…
"Megan…" said Amy with a sweat drop.
"But it's fun…" said Megan.
"Let me try…" said Bailey as she sent her hand to Megan.
Meghan gave the stick to Bailey's floating hand who began to poke Luffy with the stick.
"Let me try too…" said Usopp with a yawn.
"Honestly…" sighed Nami.
One Konegi island Shanks was wondering around… he came to the island alone, he had to mentally… if he had known that he was going to be rolled up like a sushi and thrown into a river he would have brought his crew…
"Good your alive…" came a voice.
Shanks turned around and saw Tashigi.
"Yeah…" he said with a sneeze.
"Maybe you should come to my place…" said Tashigi.
Shanks began to blush slightly.
"Not like that!" yelled Tashigi.
Elsewhere in the worlds of the Gods...
"What!" yelled Fate and Destiny.
"That's right… I told Shanks…" said Athena.
"Good plan, after all we can only go after Loki and Eris…" said Destiny.
"Is it true that you blackmailed him?" asked Fate.
"Yeah…" said Athena with a sweat drop.
"Can I see the pictures…" said Fate.
"Okaay…" said Athena with a sweat drop.
Athena gave the picots to Fate… she began to blush a lot… blood began to trickle down her nose.
"Can I keep any of these?" asked Fate.
"She's a Shanks fan girl…" said Destiny.
Athena sweat dropped.
Hours later on the Merry Go, Luffy was taking a nap on the deck… that's when Emily who was watching called out "Land Ho!"
That woke up Luffy.
"Really?" he asked.
"Yes… we're near land…" said Emily.
"I have an idea!" said Megan, "Let's have picnic on the island or go out to lunch on the island my treat!"
"Why?" asked Nami.
"We know ya guys stayed up all night thinkin' about what's gonna happen…" said Beth.
"And nothing could go wrong on a picnic…" said Megan.
"A lot of things could go wrong on a picnic…" said Alice in her emotionless tone breaking the cheerful mood.
Everyone stared at her as a small gust of wind blew past them.
"Bailey… what the hell is wrong with your sister?" asked Zoro.
"She's just like that…" said Bailey with a sweat drop.
The island was inhabited but didn't have much just small houses where people lived and a farm so it was decided it was picnic, Sanji with Emily and Bailey's help (both were great cooks) made the fixings and so the crew headed to find a spot to eat their picnic lunch.
"Picnicu, picnicu lalala! Picnuicu, picnicu lalala!" sang Luffy, Chopper, Usopp, Emily Megan and Baily over and over again.
Megan started signing Luffy joined in, followed by Chopper, Usopp and Emily and finally Bailey…
Zoro, Ko and Amy looked like they were going to kill someone while Sanji, Robin, Alice, Nami and Beth were unaffected by the singing.
"500 berries says Zoro's going to blow first…" said Beth to Nami
"Deal… but I say Ko's going to threaten first…" said Nami.
"I say Sanji will…" said Alice joining the conversation.
"But Sanji's not even angry…" said Nami.
"The sane ones always go first…" said Alice.
"Okaay…" said Beth with a sweat drop.
"Are you really going to bet?" asked Nami.
"No, I'm just putting my input…" said Alice.
After a few minutes Zoro finally snapped.
"If you don't stop that signing right now I will cut someone!" yelled Zoro.
Bailey, Megan and Emily did their best to calm down Zoro while Usopp and Chopper hid behind Luffy.
"Pay up…" said Beth with a smirk.
"How did you know…" said Nami giving Beth the money.
"To be honest I was just doing for the sake of competition, if I was really betting I would have out money on my sister…" said Beth counting the money.
Nami sweat dropped.
Elsewhere on Konegi Island Shanks had just woken up after taking a long nap in Tashigi house. He walked into what seemed to be the kitchen, where Tashigi, Ace and Usa were drinking Coffee tighter.
"Good you're awake…" said Tashigi.
"Yeah… I wanted to apologize for what I did yesterday…" said Usa, "I treated you like a dead beat… sorry… to make amends you can do that to my dad…"
"No it's all right…" said Shanks.
"Actually I think you should do it to my dad… he owes you money…" said Usa.
"So that's why he jumped out the window…" said Shanks with a sweat drop, he had completely forgotten about that debt.
In the world of the gods, Athena, Destiny and Fate were watching this on screen…
"Well I think they're fated to help…" said Fate with a smirk.
"Are you sure about this…" said Athena.
"I'm positive…" said Fate with a smirk.
Fate crossed her arms and many strings appeared on her fingers…
"Just a little manipulation will work…" said Fate with a smirk.
Back on Konegi Island, they were talking about why Tashigi own a house on Konegi Island.
"So that's why you left the marines…" said Ace surprised.
"Yeah… after Zoro died I hit the bottle pretty hard and after a few mistakes I decided to quit before I was discharged…" said Tashigi, "After that I wandered about until I came upon here and after some very awkward moments with Usa we became friends… she helped get off the stuff and helped me get this house here…"
"Many people here train off the island, sometimes years at time so it's not uncommon for houses to be vacant… for years" explained Usa, "Plus there's people who like to train on the island, so it's not too surprisingly that there's so many house that a owned by people who don't' live on the island."
"This is actually the first time in years I've been here…" said Tashigi.
"That does explain how you know each other pre…" said Ace but was stop in mid sentence by the picture of Shanks and Buggy flying out of Shanks' pocket.
"What the hell!" yelled Tashigi.
"Oh god no…" Shanks taking it as a sign he had to tell them…
Meanwhile on the nameless island everyone began their picnic… it was nice and quest… who am I kidding… it was normal meal…
"Give me that!" yelled Usopp.
"No it's my meat!" yelled Luffy.
"Please pass the egg salad…" said Alice.
"Whew no giant ape thing wanting to kidnap Alice…" said Megan.
"What?" asked Zoro.
"Never mind…" said Megan.
Then laughter filled the air… evil laughter... and it was above them. Everyone looked up… and it was Loki and Eris floating in mid air.
"You!" yelled Luffy.
"Yes…" said Eris, "I see someone has been watching too much Billy and Mandy…"
"Just shut up will you…" said Megan.
"What are you doing here!" yelled Amy.
"There's an Object of Legend here on this island… and we're here to make sure you don't get it…" said Loki.
Everyone sweat dropped…
"There's an object of Legend on this island…" said the Neo Straw Hats other than Baily and Alice
"Um… I knew that…" said Eris with a sweat drop.
"Liar…" said Amy.
"How is there's an object of Legend on the Island…" said Beth, "IT should have moved the moment you got here!"
The two gritted their teeth and both of them seemed to shimmer, neither of the two were really there.
"For some reason we can't physically get to this island." Explained Eris.
"It must be a god higher than us preventing us." Said Loki.
"You mean like Athena?" asked Amy.
The two were quiet.
"Say aren't those the kids of Buggy the Clown?" asked Loki changing the subject.
"So what?" said Bailey.
"Wow… the older ones depressed… I would have never expected the daughter of a clown to be depressed…" said Eris.
"I have a pathetic clown for a father… why would I be happy?" asked Alice.
"You're stalling!" yelled Amy.
"Stalling for what?" asked Luffy.
"Very clever… they did say you are the smartest of all god or goddesses in training…" smirked Loki, "Even if we're not physically here we can exert our influence on the island."
"Here's out Labyrinth!" said Eris.
The ground began to shake… parts of the ground began to rise into walls about ten feet high… everyone tried to stay to together but they were seprated… fortunately into 4 convenient groups…
With was will dubbed Team Kick Cloud Stretch… which constricted of Luffy, Beth and Sanji.
"Oh great!" said Sanji.
"How are we going to get out…" said Beth.
"I have an idea…" said Luffy.
He was about to stretch to the top of the wall but it began to rise at an alarming rate.
"Sorry Luff' this is a god's labyrinth… it can't be gone until everyone trapped in it get out or we find whatever it's guarding…" explained Beth.
"Can't you counteract it…" said Luffy.
"Can't… I'm just a trainee… my powers are extremely weak when compared to them…" said Beth, "Oh by the way Sanji… ya might want to take out your charm before it sets your pants on fire…"
Sanji took out which fortunately became full sized shoes and magical went to his feet.
"How?" asked Sanji.
"This is considered a life tenanting situation…" said Beth.
"Let's go look for that weapon thingies!" said Luffy.
"This is going to be a long trip…" said Sanji.
"You said it…" said Beth.
With Team Sword Ice Robot Flower which consisted of Zoro, Robin, Megan and Alice.
"This is a god's labyrinth… it won't disappear until everyone in it gets out… something,. Something happens… I forgot…" said Megan.
"Maybe if someone finds the object of Legend…" said Robin.
"Oh yeah that's it!" said Megan.
"Also don't try to destroy the walls or jump over them or anything like that…" said Megan, "Their just rise…"
"Why did we get you as our guide?" asked Zoro.
"Zoro you might also want to take out… oh never mind…" said Megan.
That's when Zoro got an electric shock, he took out his charm, which grew into it full sized katana form.
"I forgot to tell that this is considered a life threatening situation…" said Megan.
"Why didn't you tell me earlier!" yelled Zoro.
"Sorry!" said Megan knocking her head and stick her tongue out.
"Should we go now?" asked Alice.
"It might be best…" said Robin.
With Team Map Cat Chop Wood which consisted of Nami, Ko, Baily and Amy…
"Okay so we're all seprated first I'd like to say Bailey…" said Amy.
Bailey's head was floating inches above her body.
"Don't use your head to scout out… the walls will just rise… Ko get your charm out… it will grow to its true size…" said Amy.
"Okay…" said Ko with a sweat drop.
The charm did grow to a full size peon.
"Okay… I'll explain, this is a god's labyrinth… so it won't disappear until everyone finds their way out… or what ever its protecting is found…" explained Amy.
"So we have to find the object of Legend… right?" asked Nami.
"That's right… or everyone finds a way out… but since we're all seprated it's nearly impossible…" said Amy with a vine coming out her hand, "But if you're smart you have your to find your way out…"
"You know you're a little bossy…" said Bailey.
"She's right…" agreed Ko while Nami nodded.
"You two are ones to talk…" mumbled Amy.
And finally with team Reindeer Lighting Sniper (which got to be the coolest of all the names) which consisted of Chopper, Usopp and Emily.
"Okay I'll this is a god's labyrinth, it won't disappear until we find a way out or what it's guarding…" explained Emily.
"Which is the Object of Legend right?" asked Usopp.
"Yeah…" said Emily, "Oh Chopper you take out your charm…"
"Okay…" said Chopper as it grew into its full sized form and magically covered his hands.
"Okay let's go!" said Emily.
"And don't worry… back in my past life as the great captain Usopp I was once stuck in a labyrinth just like this…" said Usopp.
"Really?" asked chopper who somehow still believed his lies.
"Um… maybe we should focus on this…" said Emily waving her hand.
Meanwhile back on Konegi Island.
Shanks finished explaining to the three the situation.
"Seriously gods are involved?" asked Tashigi.
"And they asked you fix their mistake?" asked Ace.
"Apparently it's my job to make sure no one kills Luff and his crew." Said Shanks.
"That makes sense." Said Usa.
"I don't think I should do this alone." Said Shanks, "If these pictures came out then that goddess wants tour help."
"I'll help." Said Ace.
"I guess I should." Said Tashigi.
No…" said Usa.
"What?" asked Shanks.
"I can't do it…" said Usa, "I'm not as strong as I used to be… I gave up when they died…"
"But you can make it right." Said Ace.
"Don't try to convince her." Said Tashigi.
"Why?" asked Shanks.
"Did you live on this island?" asked Tashigi.
"You only did for a short time." Said Ace.
"Does that really matter?" asked Tashigi.
Both Ace and Shanks were quiet.
"Besides it's probably for the best she doesn't come." Said Tashigi.
"Why?" asked Ace.
"Well considering I had to watch them die, gave birth to them, spent 5 years thinking they were normal kids… and now having it find out it was ties to gods… even if I was up to fight I can't take it…" said Usa.
Both Shanks and Ace stared at feeling a little guilty.
"It's fine." Said Usa calming down.
She began to leave.
"You three should plan out your next move." She said, "I wish you all luck."
She left the house, as she did she looked out at the ocean.
"Please… let them fix this…" thought Usa.
Back in the Labyrinth, with Team Sword Ice Robot Flower, they continued on the path.
That was when Robin's stone began to glow;
"We're close." Said Megan.
"I don't know." Said Robin, "We might be close, but it might be able to make it."
"That doesn't matter! I know no matter what was can find it!" said Megan.
The other three sweat dropped.
"Why did she have to be the one we ended up with?" asked Zoro.
"I have no idea." Said Alice.
Meanwhile on several Marine Ships, several maps appeared.
The maps all read "The Straw Hats are in this island."
Loki and Eris both laughed.
"Even if they do find the Object of Legend there's no guarded they'll be able to get it or get out before anything happened." Said Eris.
And so with all of them trapped in the Labyrinth, can they really find the object of legend or will the Marines find them first… only time will tell.
Next Time: The divided Neo Straw Hats tray to find the Object of Legend in the Labyrinth, will they be able to find it or at lest mange to find each other. Meanwhile Shanks, Tashigi and Ace leave the island. What will happen? Find out next time!
