Disclaimer: I don't own King Dedede or King Bowser. These two are owned by the iconic Nintendo company, Masahiro Sakurai, and Shigeru Miyamoto, god rest his soul.

Bryant: The evil dictator. Such a classic trope. The king who will rule the land, unless he's stopped by the courageous hero.

Thea: But these two iconic kings manage both that and being goofy idiots.

Bryant: King Bowser Koopa, the archnemesis of Mario and bane of the Mushroom Kingdom.

Thea: And King Dedede, the archnemesis of Kirby and ruler of DreamLand.

Bryant: I'm Bryant Reese.

Thea: And I'm Thea Price.

Bryant: And we're here to analyse these two fighters and find out who would win, a WI Battle!

Bowser:

Bryant: Mario is certainly one of, if not the, most iconic video game character in the world. It's only natural that such an iconic character, would have such an iconic enemy.

Thea: King Bowser Koopa! Standing at an impressive 8 foot 11 inches and weighing in at 1200 lbs, not only is this guy strong as all hell, he's also super determined. While he fails time and time again to take over the Mushroom Kingdom for over thirty years, he never gives up. You can learn a thing or two from him, Bryant.

Bryant: I'm not finishing that pushup.

Thea: Aw come on!

Bryant: Bowser dreams to one day rule the Mushroom Kingdom, as he believes it to be his destiny. He attempted this by turning all the citizens of the kingdom into bricks. However, the magic of the kingdom's princess, Princess Peach Toadstool, was able to revert the spell. In an attempt to stop the annoying princess from interfering, Bowser kidnapped the princess, only for her to be rescued by the iconic plumber. But, as we've already said, Bowser isn't one to give up.

Thea: Bowser just kept coming back again, and again, and again. And while he fails each time, he doesn't make it easy for Mario to win. He's super strong, tough, and has a lot of weapons and abilities on his side. The most obvious one being his shell. Look at that thing! It's covered in spikes! I'd think twice before jumping on that Koopa.

Bryant: When in close ranged combat, Bowser prefers to use his sharp claws, tough spikes, and overwhelming power over the likes of speed and agility. He can tuck into his shell and perform a spinning attack or a rolling attack. He can also fire the spikes off of his shell, though his prefered method of ranged combat are his hammers, which he carries, somewhere, on his body. Oh-kay?

Thea: He can also travel the skies with the Koopa Clown Car, which can somehow fit massive metal balls the same size as itself. But he's not all manual and technical with his gear. He's also got magic. His signature

attack is his fire breath, which he can use for long periods of time. He can also shapeshift, but he mostly uses this to grow into a massive giant!

Bryant: It helps that when he grows in size, he also grows in strength. He's also ridiculously tough. He's capable of surviving castles falling on top of him, massive lava pits, taking a bath in acid, and even a black hole. The force of a black hole's event horizon alone is comparable to over 13 quadrillion yottatons of force. By the way, one yottaton is one followed by 24 zeros, while one quadrillion is followed by 15 zeros.

Thea: Damn, he's tough. He's also capable of keeping up with Mario in a brawl, and Mario can kick around a castle like a soccer ball!

Bryant: Considering that size of the castle when looking at the avatar and interior, and assuming it was made of limestone, Mario must've been kicking with a force of over 10 exatons of force. Mario can also carry over a thousand Power Stars, which many people believe are condensed black holes. And while Mario has been able to beat Bowser in one on one fights before, he tends to rely on the surrounding area rather than his brute strength in most occasions. Which most likely means that Bowser is much stronger than him.

Thea: He's also fast enough to keep up with Mario, who can pilot a star moving at hypersonic speeds and can even maneuver as a bolt of electricity. Since he's moving along a conductive material, he's probably moving at the speed of light, putting his reaction speed at around the same speed.

Bryant: And if that's not enough, Bowser can also turn into Dry Bowser, though he can't do this on his own. As Dry Bowser, he can throw his own bones as projectiles, breathe stronger purple flames, is immune to fire, and can reassemble himself after high impacts.

Thea: Geez! Why hasn't he conquered the kingdom yet?

Bryant: Bowser's good, but he's not perfect. While Dry Bowser may seem invincible, that's hardly the case. While he can reassemble himself, he's notably much less durable than he is in his normal form. And a high enough impact can overwhelm his reassembling. Even in his normal form, Bowser can be knocked out, and is regularly outsmarted, and had his own traps work against him. This leads to him losing just about every battle he's ever had against Mario and friends.

Thea: Still, Bowser is definitely one of the most powerful combatants we've ever had. You're gonna have to try really hard to beat the King of the Koopas.

(Bowser) I'm the biggest, baddest brute around, and don't you forget it!

King Dedede:

Thea: Now, I like me a good weapon. My personal favorite are my boomerangs. But there's just something special about using a giant hammer the same way King Dedede does.

Bryant: At two feet tall, and weighing only 119 lbs, King Dedede was the king of DreamLand on the planet Popstar. There, he ruled over the citizens, but he didn't have that much power over them. The citizens don't really seem to do that much, and neither did he.

Thea: He just sat in the castle, eating food brought to him by the servants that did listen. But that all changed when a certain pink puffball fell out of the sky and landed in the kingdom.

Bryant: Jealous of Kirby's popularity and the fact that he possessed a greater sway over his own kingdom, Dedede decided to surpass Kirby in every way.

Thea: Now that's a good attitude! Instead of grumbling how others are better than you, just get better yourself!

Bryant: Through an intense training program, Dedede learned how to mimic many of Kirby's abilities. He can inhale heavy objects and spit them out. He can even inhale Kirby and spit him out into the atmosphere. He can also inflate himself and fly. An ability that he somehow managed to learn. He also became much stronger and faster, capable of keeping up with Kirby, who can keep up with Meta Knight, who can fly across a galaxy in just a few minutes.

Thea: But Dedede doesn't rely only on his copied abilities. He's got his signature mallet, which has a rocket in it to boost his physical strength. It can also create an icy wind, perfect for cooling yourself down on a hot summer day!

Bryant: He can increase the hammer's power with the Star Rod. The Star Hammer can do what his regular Jet Hammer can do, and more.

Thea: It can fire energy spheres, create duplicates of himself, and even increase his size. But his best hammer is his Electric Hammer. It has a flamethrower, electric attacks, and a bunch of rockets it can fire, as well as the jet in his Jet Hammer.

Bryant: The heavy Gordo he carries around might be able to be deflected back towards him, but it's a useful weapon in his arsenal, capable of sending anybody flying through the air.

Thea: King Dedede is strong enough to match Kirby, who can break a planet in half! And Popstar is the same size as Shiver Star, which is the same size as the earth, which means that Kirby can break our planet in half! That's a force of over Kirby was also strong enough to send a world ending meteor thousands of lightyears away!

Bryant: He's fast enough to fly alongside Kirby's Warp Star, and tough enough to survive a black hole. And while he might be the main villain, he's more like an antihero. He might be petty and starts fights with Kirby over the smallest things, but he's defended his kingdom plenty of times. He's definitely a guy who can hold his own in a battle.

Bryant: He's not perfect though. He's fairly dimwitted, and he has been mind controlled and manipulated several times into being the bad guy of several games. And even though he and Kirby have become less of enemies and more of frenemies, he still holds a massive grudge, which has resulted in an evil clone of himself.

Thea: Still, this is one penguin that you shouldn't mess with. King Dedede has definitely earned himself the title of Kirby's archrival.

(Dedede) Bring in the weapons of mass De-de-destruction!

Bryant: Alright, the stage is set, time to start this dance.

Thea: Battle ready, set, GO!

"Grahahaha!" Bowser roared in laughter. He leered over the kingdom in front of him. Waddle-Dees were gathered before him, prepared to defend their kingdom. The turtle king was on top of his flying warship, with his symbol on it's sails.

"This certainly is a land that I can get used to ruling." Bowser smirked. "Plus, if the legend of the Star Rod is true, then I can definitely take over the Mushroom Kingdom with it."

"What's this? Some random turtle is trying to take over my kingdom?" a new voice boomed from behind him. Bowser turned to look behind him. King Dedede was leering at the giant turtle.

"Looks like I need to teach someone some respect." Bowser roared again, breathing fire as he did so.

"Showtime!" Bowser growled.

The clash of kings!

Fight!

Bowser and Dedede stomped towards each other. Bowser reared back his fist and punched the penguin, who responded with a swing of his hammer. Bowser grunted as he was sent flying back. Dedede jumped up and slammed down towards Bowser, who immediately dodged to the side. Bowser roared as he grabbed Dedede by the coat and spun him around before throwing the Penguin of his ship. He jumped after Dedede, tucking into his shell and spinning after him. Dedede looked above him to see the turtle king rolling through the air.

"Batter up!" King Dedede called as he swung back his hammer. He slammed Bowser away before puffing up and flying after him. Bowser popped out of his shell and threw hammers toward Dedede before slamming into the ground. Dedede dodged the hammers and landed near Bowser. The two attacked again, Bowser punching the hammer and knocking it back before breathing flames towards Dedede. The penguin jumped back and slammed down towards Bowser, who caught him. Dedede grunted as Bowser slammed him against the ground. Bowser threw Dedede up and drop kicked him, sending Dedede flying across the area. Dedede rolled across the ground, before managing to land on his feet. He looked up to see Bowser soaring through the air towards him.

Bowser roared as he fell towards Dedede. Dedede quickly swung his hammer and knocked Bowser back. Bowser landed and jumped on top of Dedede, before blasting him point blank with fire. Dedede slammed his head against Bowser's before kicking him off. He sucked Bowser into his gut before spitting him out as a star. Bowser quickly turned back into himself and stomped towards Dedede again. He ran faster and tucked into his shell again, spinning like a top towards Dedede. Dedede ran towards Bowser before spinning in his own way. The two collided, pushing against each other with their own spin attacks before being pushed back.

"Catch!" Bowser growled as he hurled several hammers before turning around and firing spikes from his shell. Dedede opened his mouth and inhaled the projectiles before spitting back. Bowser yelped as the spikes hit his shell and the hammer smacked into his head, dazing the Koopa. Dedede swung his hammer into his gut before spinning it, spinning Bowser as well and sending him flying. Bowser growled as he got up, Dedede charging towards him. Bowser thrusted his elbow back, slamming it into Dedede's stomach before sending the penguin back with a vicious hook and blasting him with a fireball.

Dedede smacked Bowser over the head with his hammer before knocking him into the air. Bowser shook his head and blasted more fireballs towards Dedede. The opposing King quickly spun the head of his hammer, creating an icy vortex that dispersed the flames. Dedede hurled himself towards Bowser, hitting him multiple times with his hammer before sending him down with another hammer swing. Bowser grunted as he slammed into the ground in another cloud of dust. He got up as the cloud dispersed and Dedede landed on the ground.

"What's the matter? Can't keep up?" Dedede taunted as he pulled out a Gordo. He tossed it into the air and smacked it towards Bowser with a mighty swing of his hammer. Bowser growled and pulled himself into his shell again, spinning in place and knocking the Gordo back towards Dedede, sending the surprise penguin flying with a yelp. Bowser roared as he charged after the soaring Dedede and uppercutted him as he fell. He jumped after Dedede, smacking him several times before drop-kicking him down and slammed down on top of him, creating a large crack in the ground. Bowser roared as he blasted more fire into the crack. Dedede burst out of the ground and hit him upwards with another swing of his hammer. The two landed on opposite sides of the crack. Bowser roared as he began to grow into a giant. Dedede quickly pulled out the Star Rod and used it to turn his Jet Hammer into the Star Hammer and began growing as well. The two rose up to above the clouds and clashed again, slamming into each other.

"I'm King Bowser! Don't you even think that you can beat me!" Bowser roared as he punched Dedede as hard as he could. Dedede staggered back before slamming his hammer down on Bowser's head again. He held the hammer up, creating several clones of himself.

"I'm King Dedede! I'm the greatest king in the world!" Dedede yelled as he sent the clones forward. Bowser knocked one down, destroying it before being hit by another. He blasted them with fire, with two dodging but the others being incinerated. He breathed more fire, trying to burn the clones. The two Dedede clones quickly spun in place, creating a blizzard that dispersed the flames before slamming into Bowser. Bowser grunted as they hit him, before he threw them back with a throw of his hands. Bowser ran forward and slashed King Dedede before hitting him with another drop kick. King Dedede jumped up into the air and fired back several energy spheres. Bowser blasted several fireballs from his mouth, intercepting the energy spheres and creating an explosion. King Dedede landed, glaring at Bowser. The dragon turtle glared back, before inhaling for a large amount of fire. King Dedede rushed forward, raising his hammer for another hit, this time will all his might. Bowser gathered all the fire into his mouth, ready to unleash a torrent of flame. The two kings roared as they attacked, a massive explosion shaking the entire land. When the smoke finally cleared, both had returned to their original heights, and one was down. King Dedede laughed as he slapped his belly over the fallen Bowser.

"Not so tough now, are you?" he taunted. Bowser only groaned as he tried to raise his head, but just dropped it in defeat. King Dedede looked over the land, only to sweatdrop when he realized that the final clash had completely incinerated most of it.

"Well, this is a mess."

KO!

Thea: Woah woah woah, wait. Seriously? I thought for sure that Bowser would win!

Bryant: At first glance, this certainly seemed to be that way. Bowser towered over King Dedede after all, and completely outclasses him in weight, and arguably experience. However, when we looked at what each can do, and how they scaled to their respective nemesis, we realized that King Dedede actually had the win here.

Thea: King Dedede can keep up with Kirby's Warp Star, which can travel between galaxies. Even if we were to low ball it and say it takes an entire year, which it obviously doesn't, he still would be moving over a 100 thousand times the speed of light. And even though King Dedede may not be able to make this trip, that fact that he can keep up with the Warp Star is way better than anything Bowser could do.

Bryant: Both combatants survived a black hole, putting them at a similar level of durability. But King Dedede could counter Bowser's own abilities. His inhaling ability allowed him to counter Bowser's projectiles. His hammer's ice abilities countered Bowser's flames. And when Bowser tried to turn the tide by turning into a giant, Dedede simply did the same with his Star Hammer. Bowser couldn't counter Dedede's arsenal the same way.

Thea: Bowser couldn't do anything about Dedede's inhaling, and while he could destroy them easily, Dedede's duplication makes it easy to overwhelm the Koopa. But isn't Bowser stronger? Wouldn't that make him win the fight?

Bryant: Doubtful. The best measurement we had for Bowser's strength was comparing him to Mario. But while some people say that Mario could carry over a thousand Power Stars, it's hard to argue that that's actually a feat of strength, as the Power Stars are shown to be capable of levitating by themselves and are basically magical items. And if they really did weigh as much as black holes, how can simple buildings hold them up? But let's give Mario the benefit of doubt and assume that he can hold all the Power Stars at once and they do weigh that much. Considering the size of the black hole we see become the Power Star, it should weigh about 1.131 septillion tons.

Thea: And Mario can carry around 1,600 of them. That weighs almost 2 octillion tons! That's 2, followed by 27 zeros.

Bryant: However, Kirby was strong enough to break a planet in half, which requires almost 3 decillion tons of force.

Thea: That's 3 followed by 33 zeros!

Bryant: We have said that Bowser is much stronger than Mario, as Mario relies on outsmarting Bowser and using the environment around him more than he uses his own physical power, and Dedede is more often than not defeated by Kirby in a one on one brawl. But even if Bowser is a hundred times stronger than Mario, which is unlikely considering that Mario is capable of holding his own against Bowser, and Dedede is a hundred times weaker than Kirby, which is unlikely considering that he can hold his own against Kirby, this would still mean that Dedede is 150 times stronger.

Thea: And breaking a planet in half isn't even Kirby's greatest strength feat. Bowser really couldn't stand up to Dedede in strength.

Bryant: Bowser certainly was strong and is still one of the most iconic villains in all of fiction. But Dedede had the strength, speed, arsenal he needed to take this win.

Thea: Dedede really took the pengu-win.

Bryant: Death Battle already did that joke.

Thea: Bowser got Gord-own!

Bryant: That's not even a good one.

Thea: The winner of this WIB Battle is King Dedede!

Not gonna lie, I think this chapter could be better, but I want to write up Yuma's Daughter's next chapter quickly so I can work on the crossover chapters in Hunter's Next Life. I know it might seem unfair to update this more than my other stories, but this series is actually easier to write than the other two, since they're completely original, and these mostly are just me looking up stuff for the two, so I can use this easily to make sure I keep updating. I will never stop updating a fanfic unless it ends though, so don't worry, it's coming. As per the usual, leave a review! Azure out!

A man in a leather jacket with a beanie on his head broke into a jewelry store, quickly stuffing a bag with priceless jewels.

"Republic City? More like a gold mine!" the man cackled as he swung the bag over his shoulder. He stepped out, only to duck with a yelp as something flew over his head, curving through the air and returning to where it was swung. A young man wearing blue clothes with his hair in a ponytail caught the metal weapon.

"Hey you! Put those back!" the man yelled.
