Carmen was calmly looking out over the city scape. It was not a particularly pretty one, it was almost gothic looking with gargoyles decorating the taller buildings. And one would think that would give it a classic vibe, however it did not blend well with all the highly modern architecture around it. Carmen found herself wondering why she had even stopped here. There wasn't even anything of real value to steal here. Not in her eyes anyway. She stole for the thrill of the chase not for any monetary gain. As she stood there she felt someone walk up behind her.

"Don't you have more dangerous people to deal with Detective?" She said sounding tiered.

"It's a quiet night." The man replied with his deep voice.

"Is that so?" Carmen rolled her eyes turning to face him then crossed her arms over her chest. "So am I going to have to deal with you all night?"

"For as long as you're in my city."

"I know your rich and all but it's a bit self absorbed to call it yours?"

"You know what I mean." The man in black crossed his arms as well.

"Yah, ok, if you say so." It was clear that Carmen was in no mood to be playing word games with him.

"What's the matter? You usually like this kind of banter." He stepped in closer to her with almost a sound of concern in his voice.

"What isn't the matter? This city is always so depressing each time I come here. I don't know why I bother any more. It's such a downer." Carmen turned to look down at the dirty streets many stories below them.

"Would a birthday dinner brighten your mood?" The man's voice held a hint of playfulness in it.

"Batman and Carmen Sandiego... having dinner together? Talk about an attention grabber." She chuckled still not returning her gaze to him. The hero walked up beside her and spoke quietly.

"You know what I mean."

"It's funny you're so open with you identity with me."

"Well I fingered if you'd wanted to sell me out you would have done so by now."

"You're awfully trusting detective."

"As are you Miss Avalon." That struck a nerve and Carmen turned swiftly with the intent to slap him, but he was just as quick and caught her hand. "So is that a yes?"

"I don't have anything to wear." Carmen snapped back pulling her hand from his.

"I'm sure I could find you something." The Batman smirked at her earning a small smile back.

Is anyone interesting in me expanding on any of these short fluffy birthday story/chapters?
If so let me know witch ones. I think this was the longest one yet, but they all still have room for growth, especially the first 2. I was actually considering having this years be a re-write of one of the older chapters and making it longer and more detailed.
