I don't know about you guys, but I feel like we finished off 2020 pretty well. Rustage released two epic videos, I revitalize my love for Harry Potter, and Hulk vs Broly! Oh man, that fight made me feel real happy for some reason. I haven't felt like that about a Death Battle since, I don't know, Power Rangers vs Voltron. It kinda made me wonder if I'm actually awake. I have a question for the four of you who actually read this, if you watch Death Battle. What were your top three Death Battles of this season? Mine are definitely Jon Talbain vs Sabrewulf, Obi-Wan vs Kakashi, and obviously Hulk vs Broly. But anyways, Happy New Years, and please enjoy Boba Fett vs Master Chief.

Disclaimer: I don't own Halo or Star Wars. Halo is owned by 343 Industries and Xbox Game Studios. Star Wars is owned by George Lucas and Disney.

Bryant: Space is certainly a strange place.

Thea: And everyone knows that aliens are way more advanced than us. So it only makes sense that the space warriors are some of the best of the best, with some of the best of the best gear.

Bryant: Master Chief, the Bane of the Covenant.

Thea: And Boba Fett, the Mandlorian Bounty Hunter!

Bryant: I'm Bryant Reese.

Thea: And I'm Thea Price.

Bryant: And we're here to analyze these two fighters and find out who would win, a WI Battle!

-Line Break-

Bryant: Originally known as the ORION Project Generation II, the SPARTAN-II Program was designed by the UNSC to produce elite soldiers through the act of mechanical and biological augmentation as a response to the Insurrectionist Rising. This program ended up creating some of the best superhuman warriors in the history of mankind.

Thea: But there was one super soldier that stood above the rest. John-117, aka, the Master Chief.

John:

-Full name: Unknown

-Ranking: Master Chief Petty Officer

-Height: 6 ft 10 in (without armor)/7 ft 2 in (with armor)

-Weight: 290 lbs (without armor)/995 (with armor)

-Aliases: Master Chief, Demon, Warrior, Reclaimer

-SPARTAN tag: 117

Thea: Aw yeah, this guy is easily one of my favorite video game characters of all time!

Bryant: Born in the year 2511 in the colony world of Eridanus, John was noted for his surprisingly high physicality and mind when he was just 6 years old. He possessed greater reflexes, was a head taller than his classmates, and had an aggressive drive for success. Impressed by his intellect and luck, Doctor Catherine Halsey and Lieutenant Jacob Keyes tested him with a coin flip.

Thea: He watched it fly up, and caught it before saying which side it landed on, and got it right!

Bryant: After being tested, John and 74 other kids were kidnapped and taken to the planet, Reach. There, he was trained along with the rest of the kids and soldiers. He was trained in history, military strategy, weapons, and physical fitness. At the age of eight, he was recognized for his strategic mind, causing his fellow Spartans to look at him as their leader.

Thea: And when he was fourteen, he underwent a special augmentation experiment, that killed 30 of the other Spartans! Man, talk about one hell of a military school.

Bryant: The experiment drastically increased John's already impressive physical prowess, and he went on to be one of, if not the best super soldier in the UNSC.

Thea: He fought multiple wars and served for over thirty years! Now that's a true veteran. He even earned every known UNSC medal, except the Prisoner of War Medallion, cause no one can catch him!

Training/Abilities:

-Military tactics

-Hand-to-Hand Combat

-Physical fitness

-Weapon handling

-Enhanced reflexes

-Superhuman body

Bryant: During his time in the UNSC, John was trained in handling just about every single one of the organization's weapons, and is a skilled fighter in hand to hand. At the age of fourteen, most Spartans are able to run at 34 miles per hour, and react in 20 milliseconds. That's 10 times faster than an average human.

Thea: At fourteen! But hey, what's a soldier without his weapons. And boy, does Master Chief have a lot of them!

Thea: He's got more weapons than My Hero Academia has yaoi fangirls. His signature is the MA5B Assault Rifle, which has 60 rounds to fire at 900 rounds a minute. But he also uses the more precise BR85 Battle Rifle that has 36 rounds and a range of 3,000 feet, dual-wielding M20 SMGs that hold 60 rounds each, the iconic M6D Magnums with 12 rounds and have armor piercing ammunition, the deadly M90 Shotguns with 12 Soellkraft 8 Gauge shells that can break through hulls of spaceships, and my personal favorite, the M739 Light Machine Gun. Aka, the SAW. This baby has enough ammo and a high firing speed to rip straight through large groups of enemies like nothing. Whoo! That's a lot.

Bryant: That's just scratching the surface. I personally am more for the superpowered and higher tech weapons, but I can appreciate Master Chief's M363 Sticky Detonators. They fire sticky grenades that are then activated with a remote on the launcher, and are powerful enough to destroy most vehicles.

Thea: And even those aren't enough weapons for the Chief! He's got the Hydra Launcher, which is a lock-on rocket launcher. His M57 Pilum Assault Weapon is a two-shot Rocket Launcher, but it's way more powerful than the Hydra Launcher. His Sniper Rifle can shoot through armor like nothing, and his Railgun can rip through people like paper!

Bryant: Throughout his life, John has used multiple weapons from the enemy sides as well. These include the Plasma Pistol, which acts as an EMP gun, the Plasma Rifle, which is the alien equivalent of his SMGs, the Covenant Carbine Rifle, and the Type-50 Beam Rifle. While weaker than his Sniper Rifle, the Beam Rifle is more silent and fires lasers rather than bullets. The Type-2 Gravity Hammer can knock foes back and even deflect projectiles, and Type-58 Fuel Rod Cannon fires rounds that can bounce off walls and the floor before exploding with extreme heat. He can fire homing crystals with the Needler, and if he lands enough of them-

Thea: BOOM! They explode and shoot crystal shrapnel into flesh!

Bryant: The Plasma Launchers are the same as his Hydra Cannons, and fire bolts of plasma that stick to opponents before detonating.

Thea: He can fire charge shots with the Boltshot, mow people down with the Suppressor, and turn people to ash with the Scattershot! Which is basically a laser plus a shotgun. And if the Lightrifle doesn't have enough killing power, he can use the Binary Rifle, which is like the Beam Rifle, but turns people to ash.

Bryant: Which requires 3 gigajoules of energy.

Thea: This is what, the third time we used that number?

Bryant: While the Sentinel Beam isn't as deadly as his other lasers, it can fire in a constant laser. We know that it's a laser since it burns on impact, bounces off certain surfaces, and moves in a straight line.

Thea: He has his standard Frag Grenades, which are just normal grenades. But the Plasma grenades stick to people! The Spike grenades are the same, but as spikes, the Incendiary grenades burn stuff, the Pulse grenade acts as an EMP that actually explodes, and the Splinter grenades release splinters that are their own explosives.

Bryant: However, his more powerful weapons include the Spartan Laser, Type-1 Energy Sword, and the Incineration Cannon. The Incineration Cannon and the Spartan Laser are both capable of annihilating most opponents with a single shot, though it can be hard to land that shot due to limited ammo and long firing time.

Thea: Not the same problem with the Energy Sword! All Halo fans love it. It's capable of one-shotting just about anything with a swing of this plasma blade, cutting and burning them like a 1000 degree knife into human flesh!

Bryant: Actually plasma burns at a temperature equal to 45,000 degrees Fahrenheit. The surface of the sun burns at only 10,000 Fahrenheit, making the Energy Sword over four times hotter! And while he's never actually done this, John can dual-wield Energy Swords. While they're primarily close-ranged weapons, they're capable of blocking bullets, which allows John to close the distance.

Thea: Man, that's awesome! Even more than his armor! Now that's really awesome. Chief's Gen 2 Mjolnir Armor is his current armor suit, and is the one we'll be focusing on for this.

Bryant: Made of a thick titanium alloy, this armor is easily top of the line. It's connected to John's brain, meaning it's controlled by his mind, not his muscles. This quintuples his speed and strength, so much so that only a Spartan can use this armor, as a regular person will literally be ripped apart by it. It has filters to remove toxins from the atmosphere, a supply of air during EVA, thermal and motion sensors, communications, solar-powered lighting, and imaging and video gear. With a pressure shield, John can survive in deep waters and space. Biofoam injectors seal wounds automatically and treat infections.

Thea: It has magnetic holder straps to hold all his weapons without needing to change holsters, and Energy Shields that give even better protection against weapons. Chief can tank hits from Beam Rifles, Binary Rifles, Incineration Cannons, and even the Energy Sword! And he can also fall from space without even a scratch, get up, and fight an army of aliens! Sure that was the previous model, but this armor is supposed to be better in every way, so it scales.

Bryant: The Energy Shields are also self-regenerating. Even if they run low, should John be able to find shelter, they can get back up to full power in seconds. His armor also has boosters which helps him move faster, dodge quicker, slow his fall, rocket him forwards, fly through space, and attack with the Spartan Charge. A move which can smash boulders to dust. All this armor is powered by a Fusion Reactor, and allows for unlimited movement. In battle, he can also use a variety of power ups and armor enhancements to aid him.

Thea: He can only use one at a time, but he's got so many to choose from!

Bryant: The Overshields triple his Energy Shield's power, the Active Camouflage bends light to make him invisible, the Regenerator increases his shield's recharge speed and heals wounds, and the Flare blinds opponents with a bright light.

Thea: The Bubble Shield can block tank fire, the Trip Mine is perfect for laying traps, the Gravity Lift can lift him to high heights, the Power Drain decreases the energy of opposing opponents armors, and he can even turn invincible with, uh, Invincibility!

Bryant: With the Promethean Vision, he can see through walls and thick fog. The Autosentry creates a turret which fires at his opponents, the Regeneration field is the same as his Regenerator, his Hologram creates a duplicate for distraction and misdirection, and his Hardlight Shield is a portable shield that can block most weapons easily.

Thea: His Armor Lock locks him in place, but also makes him invincible. On the opposite end of the spectrum, his Jet Pack lets him fly!

Bryant: But it doesn't have enough fuel for actual flight. It's more akin to helping him jump extra high and slows his fall. Pretty much the same as his boosters.

Thea: Chief has, literally, the biggest arsenal in What If Battle History. Even Pit and Link didn't have gear on this level!

Bryant: He has also been complimented on his extreme luck. No matter what the situation, he's always been able to find just the tool he needs. Even without his weapons, John is impressive.

Achievements:

-Moved a forty ton metal cube meant to be moved with machinery

-Overpowered Promethean Knights

-Matched several other Spartans in battle

-Flips tanks in seconds

-Intercepted Beam Rifle shots

-Can land eight headshots so fast his shots sound like a single roar

-Defeated several armies

-Stopped galactic genocide several times

-Tanked a nuke from near point blank range

Thea: Regular Spartans are expected to shatter concrete. And Chief can flip a 66 ton tank like it's made of Styrofoam!

Bryant: The Gen 2 Mjolnir Armor boosts John's power by a multiple of five, but according to the lore of the series, he's able to flip a tank without the armor. Considering the time needed to flip the tank, the distance it traveled to flip, and the weight, this would need about 1,452 tons of force. And considering that his armor multiples his strength, this means he can exert around 7,260 tons of force.

Thea: That sounds crazy, but his fellow Spartan Locke, who Chief matched in a straight on fist fight, can knock over similar tanks with just the impact of his attacks, knock ships out of the air, and smash through stone statues like air! And how about when he fired eight shots so fast, it sounded like one big gunshot. That means he can fire faster than sound!

Bryant: He also intercepted a shot from a Beam Rifle from thirty feet away. To do this, he had to have reacted in 0.00000003 seconds, or thirty nanoseconds. While this may seem to be a stretch, he's been able to dodge Sentinel Beams on several occasions. He can jump over 7 feet despite his armor's weight, and has kept up with other Spartans in head-on fights on numerous occasions. He's defeated several armies worth of enemies: the Insurrection, the Covenant, the Flood, and the Promethean army, and has stopped galactic genocide on two seperate occassions.

Thea: Oh my heck, he's so cool!

Bryant: He does have a few weaknesses though.

Thea: Impossible!

Bryant: Oh really?

Weaknesses:

-Limited ammo

-Can only carry a few weapons and equipment pieces at a time

-A strike from the back can kill him

Bryant: While he has an army's worth of weapons, he can only carry so much at a time, and each has a very limited supply of ammo. And should he be unable to find cover, his energy shields can fail, leaving him vulnerable. But his most glaring weakness, and most exploitable, is the fact that a good hit from behind can kill him instantly.

Thea: What?! Seriously?!

Bryant: Since the armor is reliant on thought rather than movement, it relies on a neural interface to send messages into the suit from his brain. It's likely that a hit from behind breaks this interface, resulting in the suit collapsing into itself, killing John brutally.

Thea: Damn… well, not like it's going to be easy to do that. Master Chief is still one of, if not the coolest characters in video game history!

(Master Chief) Thought I'd try shooting my way out. Mix things up a little.

-Line Break-

Bryant: Stormtroopers.

Thea: Some of the worst soldiers in the history of fiction. They should've stuck to regular Clone Troopers. At least they had some badasses. The closest the Stormtroopers had to that was that one Stormtrooper that yelled "traitor".

Bryant: But if they're called Clone Troopers, then they'd have to come from somewhere. The answer is Jango Fett, a Mandalorian bounty hunter. He was hired by the Sith Lord Darth Tyranus to serve as a genetic foundation of an army that was bred secretly on the extragalactic world, Kamino.

Thea: And then Jedi Master Obi-Wan Keno-Meme came along and exposed the insidious plot. While he got to be a badass for a little bit, Jango got just a little a-head of himself. It's funny because his head got cut off.

Bryant: However, Jango wanted something other than just money as his payment. And so, the first clone was chosen to be unaltered, allowing it to grow and be raised like a normal person.

Thea: This was Boba Fett.

Boba Fett:

-Job: Mandalorian Bounty Hunter

-Height: 6 ft 3 in

-Weight: 172 lbs

-Clone of Jango Fett

-Drives a Slave 1

-Claimed the late Jabba's throne for himself

Thea: So how are we going to do this?

Bryant: For this battle, we'll be analyzing Boba Fett as he is in the current Disney canon, as opposed to his Legends canon.

Thea: This means the Disney movies, Clone Wars, Rebels, Mandalorian, and everything connected to them.

Bryant: As a child, Boba Fett was raised by his DNA doner. Despite being a clone of Jango, the two of them were fairly close, and viewed each other as father and son. Jango taught Boba survival and martial skills, as well as how to use a blaster. Boba also learned how to pilot his father's spaceship, the Slave 1.

Thea: Now that's a cool way to grow up! He wasn't even ten years old, and he was already able to go on a mission with his dad and even killed two rival bounty hunters!

Bryant: Naturally, as close as he is to his father, Boba was heartbroken after his death. He swore revenge on Mace Windu, the man who had killed his father and teamed up with fellow bounty hunters to assassinate him.

Thea: And then he got arrested and most of the other bounty hunters died.

Bryant: Afterwards, however, he was released, and formed his own bounty hunting syndicate known as Krayt's Claw on the desert planet of Tatooine.

Thea: I don't like sand. It's all coarse, and rough, and irritating. And it gets everywhere. Sorry, I just had to say it.

Bryant: I understand. Over the years, Boba gained an impressive reputation, labelling him as one of the deadliest bounty hunters in the galaxy, who specialized in disintegrating his targets. He specializes in cunning plans and clever traps, catching his opponents off guard.

Thea: Have you read The Life of Hunters? Hunter's Next Life? Hunter Classroom? You should know that if you're a bounty hunter, you need weapons if you don't have powers. And Boba Fett has weapons.

Equipment:

-Mandalorian Armor

=Beskar alloy

==One of the strongest metals in the world

==Protects from blaster fire and lightsabers

=Helmet

==Targeting system

==Binoculars

==Commlink

=Z-6 Jetpack

==Homing Rocket

==One minute worth of fuel

==Wrist blades

==Whipcord launcher

==Flamethrower

==Dur-24 wrist laser

==MM9 mini rocket launcher

=Rocket dart launchers in knee caps

-EE-3 Carbine Rifle

-Thermal Detonators

-Lightsaber

Bryant: His favorite weapon is his signature EE-3 Carbine Rifle. A gun which has a range of 750 meters, and can fire in three round bursts. At a high enough power, it can even disintegrate his targets, giving it a power output of 3 gigajoules.

Thea: Oh come the f*ck on!

Bryant: But what really stands out about him is his Mandalorian Armor. This high tech suit was passed down by his dad and is made of pure Beskar.

Thea: It's tough enough to protect from blaster fire and even lightsabers! You know, badass blades of pure plasma?!

Bryant: Which means that Beskar can withstand a heat of about 45,000 degrees Fahreinheit.

Thea: His helmet has a targeting system, letting him keep track of his targets in fights. My favorite piece of his gear are his gauntlets. They have a flamethrower, which already makes them the coolest thing ever. His whipcord lets him snag his enemies, and then he can blast them with either his concussion missiles or Dur-24 wrist laser!

Bryant: With his jetpack, he can traverse the skies. It's worth noting, however, that it only has enough fuel for about one minute of non-stop flight. As such, he relies on it for boosted jumps and controlled bursts, slowing his fall and crossing large gaps.

Thea: But that's okay, cause it's got a missile on it! This anti-vehicle rocket can only be fired once, but if it lands, it's going to destroy some stuff. And if people get too close to him, he can shank them with his wrist blades from his gauntlets, or cut them to pieces with his Lightsaber! Yeah yeah, that's Legends Boba Fett, but come on! You know you want to see him with one. 'Specially since Chief's got his Energy Swords. And don't worry, the Lightsaber is the only thing we'll be taking from the Legends canon.

Bryant: Lightsabers are a fascinating tool. Powered by special kyber crystals, the blade is made of plasma and molded by special electromagnets. In order to create such a blade, the kyber crystal had to have more power than a nuclear factory. And while Boba Fett may not be Force-Sensitive like actual Jedi, he has no problem using them like other Jedi and even the Sith like Darth Vader. They're capable of blocking blaster bolts or even Force-Lightning and cutting through powerful blast doors. The only things that are capable of stopping a Lightsaber are weapons made of a sturdy enough material, like Beskar or Durasteel or Duraplast, or weapons that emit energy, like another Lightsaber. While Boba Fett isn't trained in Lightsaber combat, he's been able to hold his own against Luke Skywalker, and Darth Vader.

Thea: Boba Fett is a total badass.

Achievements:

-Kicked down a metal door

-Outdrawn multiple opponents

-Disarms people with his own blaster

-Matched Luke Skywalker in direct combat

-Defeated ninjas who are able to dodge his blaster fire

-Made a shot from a distance that he needed binoculars to see over

-Tanked point blank explosions with little issue

-Considered one of the best bounty hunters in the world

Bryant: In terms of speed, he's outdrawn several opponents on separate occasions, and even matched Luke Skywalker. In regards to Luke, he's comparable to his father, who was able to keep up with Count Dooku, who in turn was able to match Yoda. And Yoda was fast enough to catch Dooku's Force Lightning.

Thea: We don't really know how much electricity is in Force Lightning, but it can burn people to a crisp like actual lightning, so it should have a similar power yield. On top of that, the voltage doesn't actually affect how fast the electricity is, just how much it will shock people. So Yoda in the movies should be able to catch actual lightning too.

Bryant: Boba Fett has defeated ninjas who were fast enough to dodge his blaster, tough enough to tank point-blank explosions, broke three arms of an alien and took off his remaining arm, and even kicked down a sturdy metal door. Assuming it was made of steel, this would take about 24 hundred tons of force.

Thea: Really? When did any of that happen?

Bryant: In the comics.

Thea: So we're using Legends Boba Fett?

Bryant: No, the Disney canon has comics too.

Thea: Really? Neat, let's go buy some!

Bryant: Not now!

Thea: Ugh, fine. Boba Fett is a total badass, but he's not perfect.

Weaknesses:

-Armor has weak spots

-Jetpack is delicate

-Sarlacc Pit

Thea: The Sarlacc Pit! A giant hole in the ground, despite the fact that he has a freaking jet pack! It's such a major weakness, Boba Fett was knocked into the Pit by a blind, weak Han Solo by complete accident.

Bryant: Seriously? That's the weakness? Not the fact that his armor only covers part of his body, leaving several parts of it vulnerable? Not the fact that his jetpack is fragile and can malfunction from a single hit?

Thea: Nope, it's definitely the Sarlacc Pit.

Bryant: ...Fair enough. But despite the Sarlacc Pit being supposedly inescapable, Boba Fett managed to escape. And while he lost his armor, he eventually retrieved it from the Mandalorian Din.

Thea: And even without his armor, he had no problem kicking ass and tracking down Din. Boba Fett is a Swiss Army knife of absolute pain!

Bryant: One can't help but respect this particular bounty hunter.

(Boba Fett) As you wish.

-Line Break-

Bryant: Alright, the stage is set, time to start this dance.

Thea: Battle ready, set, GO!

-Line Break-

"Sierra 117 to Infinity. Come in." Master Chief said as he piloted his Pelican through the atmosphere of the planet. He glanced over the side, seeing many fallen Covenant ships and Promethean warriors. The two armies had clearly just finished yet another battle.

"Infinity to Sierra 117, we read you. What is it, Master Chief?" Commander Palmer responded over the radio, bringing his attention back.

"It looks like the Covenant was here first. I'm going into the Temple." Master Chief reported.

"Alright. Be careful Master Chief. We have reports of an especially deadly bounty hunter in the area." Palmer warned.

"Alright. 117 out." Master Chief said. He turned off the radio, and turned back to the controls. An alarm rang out, catching his attention. Behind the Pelican, the Slave 1 flew from behind some clouds. Inside, Boba Fett aimed his ship's cannons.

"Lights out." Boba Fett said to no one. The cannons fired, blasting the Pelican. The engines were destroyed, sending the Pelican careening towards the temple, smashing through the side of the temple. Inside, there was a single, tall room, with multiple massive platforms circling the massive pit. The Pelican fell down into the endless pit.

The back door opened, revealing Master Chief, holding his Assault Rifle and a Rocket Launcher. His armor's suit flared, pushing Master Chief towards the wall. He turned and shot both rockets towards the Pelican, sending it towards the side and letting it rest on one of the platforms a couple hundred or so feet down. He looked down at the Pelican as he landed on the platform nearest to him. All the platforms were almost a hundred feet long, letting the Pelican sit rather comfortably. There were several Covenant and Forerunner weapon cases on many of the platforms. Several UNSC weapons also landed on the platforms.

"...I still had three payments left on that thing." he complained. The sound of a jetpack caught his attention, and he turned around as he reloaded his Rocket Launcher. Boba Fett landed a platform on a higher level than Chief.

"The Jul 'Mdama's Covenant has a bounty on your head. I'm here to collect it." Boba Fett said as he pointed his EE-3 Rifle towards Master Chief. Master Chief grunted as he pointed his Rocket Launcher back towards Boba Fett.

"What else is new?" he grumbled.

Finger on the trigger everyone!

Fight!

Boba Fett quickly opened fire, blasting bolts of energy towards Master Chief. The Spartan quickly ducked under them as he used his suit to leap to another platform. He spun and fired one of his rockets towards Boba Fett. The bounty hunter used his jetpack to boost his jump to another platform. The super soldier and bounty hunter repeated this several times, leaping from platform to platform and firing at each other.

Master Chief groaned as he ran out of rockets. He tossed his launcher to the side and pulled out his Assault Rifle. Boba Fett landed on the platform behind him. Master Chief spun and opened fire with his Assault Rifle. The bullets bounced off his Beskar armor as he returned fire. Master Chief grunted as the blaster bolts knocked him back. He quickly threw a Frag Grenade towards Boba Fett. The bounty hunter looked down before jumping back off the platform as the grenade exploded.

He landed on a platform, looking up before getting knocked to the ground by a powerful punch. Master Chief punched him several more times, earning a grunt with each hit. The Spartan grabbed the Mandalorian and threw him off the platform. Boba Fett used his jet pack to land on one of the other platforms with a grunt. He stood up, spinning to fire his EE-3 Carbine. Master Chief dodged the blaster bolts as he threw himself down onto the platform.

He crawled along and looked over all the platforms below him. He spotted multiple weapons available. He grabbed another grenade and hurled towards Boba Fett's platform. Boba Fett shot it out of the air and a cloud of smoke appeared in between the fighters. Master Chief used his rockets to leap down to a platform and grabbed a Gravity Hammer and a Storm Rifle. Boba Fett rocketed up to the platform, and the two opened fire at each other, dodging the plasma shots from each other. Master Chief boosted himself onto another platform a bit away. He tossed away his Storm Rifle and spotted a Scattershot. He scooped it up and whirled around, blasting at the bounty hunter.

Boba Fett dodged the first two shots and used his jetpack to take to the air, hovering and dodging the shots as he returned fire. Master Chief rolled and leapt across the platform. He grabbed a Suppressor and fired it with one hand as he grabbed a Pulse Grenade and threw it at Boba Fett. The bounty hunter zoomed away from the orange bullets before landing on a platform and throwing a Thermal Detonator at Master Chief. The Spartan boosted onto another platform as the bomb exploded. Boba Fett flew after him, firing after the running Spartan. Master Chief grabbed a Hydra Launcher off of the ground and fired all six shots at the bounty hunter. Boba Fett dodged the rockets, but was knocked out of the air as they followed him. Master Chief watched as Boba Fett landed on a platform under him. He dropped the Hydra Launcher and pulled out the Gravity Hammer.

He leapt off the platform and used a Spartan Charge to quickly close the distance between him and Boba Fett. The bounty hunter crossed his arms before being sent flying into the wall with a powerful impact from the GH. Boba Fett groaned in pain as he cracked the wall with the impact. Master Chief charged and Boba Fett threw himself to the side, letting a powerful impact from the GH send him flying. Master Chief boosted after him, raising the GH.

Boba Fett rolled as he landed, turning to fire his homing rocket on his back. Master Chief swung the GH and knocked the rocket towards the wall. The explosion knocked Master Chief across the pit. He spun and kicked off the wall, landing on another platform. Boba Fett was sent flying off his platform and slammed against the edge of another. He slammed on the platform under him before managing to push himself up. He heard boosters and whirled around. Master Chief was climbing up the pit with his jet boosters.

"This guy…" Boba Fett growled. He leapt down the platforms, coming up to Chief. He fired several concussive missiles towards Master Chief, surprising him. They knocked him off his feet and Master Chief landed on his back as the GH was knocked from his hands. Boba Fett landed and slammed a knee into Master Chief's chest. He pointed his rifle towards Master Chief's face, but the Spartan pushed it to the side, letting it discharge next to his face. He punched Boba Fett several times and kicked his head from behind, pushing him off. Boba Fett spun to fire again but his rifle was knocked out of his hands with a kick. Master Chief spun again and punched Boba Fett in the chest, forcing him to skid backwards.

Boba Fett stood straight and put up his fists. Master Chief did as well. The two charged at each other and exchanged blows, each hit ringing loudly in the pit. Boba Fett dodged past one blow and used his whipcord to ensnare the Spartan by the arm. Master Chief was yanked back and slammed into a powerful punch to the face that knocked him off his feet. He rolled away from a follow-up punch and swept Boba Fett's feet out from under him. Boba Fett rolled away from a powerful stomp and got to his knees. He fired a stream of fire towards Master Chief. The Spartan powered through the fire and grabbed Boba Fett. He pushed the gauntlet away and smashed his fist into the hunter's helmet several times. He lifted the bounty hunter up and slammed him down before kicking him away. Boba Fett slid off the platform but used his whipcord to wrap it around Master Chief's legs and yanked him off the platform as well.

The two used their boosts and landed on another platform. Boba Fett used his jet pack to adjust himself and fired a concussive missile towards the Spartan. Master Chief dodged under the missile and punched Boba Fett several times before grabbing him and throwing him over his shoulder. Boba Fett landed on his feet before being sent off the platform with a powerful Spartan Charge. He landed on his stomach and pushed himself up. He looked up to see Master Chief coming up to him and caught the Spartan before throwing him towards the wall. Master Chief slammed against and cracked it. He looked up and ducked to the side as a glowing green blade impaled it.

Boba Fett pulled the Lightsaber out of the wall and took a stance. Master Chief quickly pulled out an Energy Sword and readied himself. The two paused for a beat before Boba Fett charged towards Master Chief. The two swung the swords and a loud crack was made as they collided. Master Chief jumped back and used his boosters to slam into Boba Fett. The two flew off the platform. Boba Fett and Master Chief spun in the air as they fell, their respective swords knocking each other back before Master Chief was kicked away and the two landed on two platforms.

Master Chief got up with a grunt. He spotted a Binary Rifle and grabbed it. He turned and aimed it towards Boba Fett. Noticing the orange light, the bounty hunter quickly turned around and held up his Lightsaber. The Binary Rifle fired at Boba Fett, who managed to block the laser and deflect it, letting the laser burn on the wall. Boba Fett shot his whipcord towards Master Chief, catching the Binary Rifle and pulled it towards himself. He swung the Lightsaber and cut the rifle in half. Master Chief took out the Energy Sword again, and leapt at Boba Fett. Boba Fett ducked under the stab and punched Master Chief in the side. He and Master Chief duelled again, swinging their blades. Boba Fett managed to knock the sword to the side and punched Master Chief away. He swung the Lightsaber and cut the Energy Sword out of Master Chief's hand.

Master Chief looked up to see Boba Fett leap away from the platform. Hearing a beep, Master Chief looked down to see a Thermal Detonator at his feet. He quickly activated a Hardlight Shield before the Thermal Detonator blew up and sent him flying off the platform. Boba Fett's whip cord caught him and pulled him back. Master Chief spun and drop-kicked Boba Fett, sending them over the platform again.

The two fell with a yell before Master Chief's boosters launched him towards the Pelican, and he landed on the wing and grabbed one of the rockets. Boba Fett grunted as his fall came to an abrupt stop, and he quickly pulled himself up using his jetpack. Master Chief dragged himself across the top of the Pelican, and the two let themselves rest as soon as they weren't in danger of falling to their deaths.

Master Chief soon stood up and ran to the back of the Pelican, jumping down and running in. Boba Fett noticed this and ran towards the opening. He readied his gauntlets as he came round, only to suddenly get blasted by a barrage of plasma shots as Master Chief stepped out of the Pelican, duel-wielding plasma rifles with another green gun on his back. Boba Fett pulled out his Lightsaber and began deflecting what he could, letting his Beskar armor protect him from the rest. He went up to him and slashed one of the rifles in half. Master Chief grunted as he whipped Boba Fett with the remaining rifle. He grabbed Boba Grunt and smacked him over and over again with the rifle before Boba Fett managed to push him away. Master Chief hit him again with the Spartan Charge, sending him out of the Pelican.

Boba Fett got back up, but paused at the sight of an empty Pelican. He looked around before suddenly getting grabbed and slammed against the side of the Pelican before being thrown. He rolled and blasted his flamethrower towards where he was thrown from. Master Chief held up his Shotgun and shot Boba Fett in the helmet, sending him staggering back. Boba Fett looked up before a small blue ball landed on his chest. He looked down in shock before the Plasma Grenade exploded and sent him flying to the wall. He got up slowly in pain before looking up. Master Chief finished charging up his Spartan Laser and blasted Boba Fett. A massive explosion and a bright light filled the pit.

Boba Fett, his armor severely damaged, struggled to his feet. He looked up before being slammed against the wall by his helmet. Master Chief shoved a Magnum against Boba's throat and fired several times before letting the bounty hunter fall to his knees and dropped on the ground. Master Chief sighed as he looked over his Pelican.

"Well. this is going to be a pain."

KO!

Thea: Man! What a way to start off a new year of What If Battles!

Bryant: This was surprisingly close. Boba Fett was certainly a deadly warrior, but Master Chief was able to match and surpass him.

Thea: He had way more weapons than Boba Fett. Sure, he only has so much ammo to use, but he has more than enough weapons to keep up the pressure. Even if he didn't have all of his weapons at his side, he didn't need all of them to beat Boba Fett. Let's break it down. The Mjolnir GEN II Armor was actually better than Boba Fett's Mandalorian armor.

Bryant: Yes, the Mandalorian armor's Beskar makeup made it more durable than the titanium Mjolnir Armor, being that it's capable of tanking multiple attacks from Lightsabers while the Mjolnir Armor could only take two or three of them. With all this in mind, it does seem like the Mandalorian armor should be the superior. However, Beskar is still just metal that can and has been worn down over time with enough power, while the Mjolnir Armor's energy barriers would continuously recharge. While Master Chief would need to give them time to recharge, Boba Fett, while a good fighter, didn't have what it took to completely overwhelm the Chief to the point where he couldn't.

Thea: Boba Fett could hit with a force of about 2,400 tons. But Master Chief can exert about 7,260 tons whenever he flips tanks! Pretty clear cut on who's the stronger. And he took hits from fellow Spartans who can do the exact same thing. And Master Chief could intercept lasers while Boba Fett, who matched Luke, at best intercept lightning. We're not saying that Master Chief could beat the Jedi like Yoda and Luke, but Boba Fett was only really able to beat Luke after using traps and his cunning.

Bryant: Boba Fett was smarter than John, giving his cunning nature. But John was trained in military tactics since he was a child, and has defeated cunning opponents before. Especially since Boba Fett wouldn't have time to prepare a trap given that we don't give prep time. Speaking of which, while Boba Fett was a skilled bounty hunter, he was self-trained for the later half of his bounty hunting career, while John's has been training all his life in a high class military unit.

Thea: Boba Fett took his real mission when he was around ten years old before being imprisoned for several more years, while Master Chief's been serving in the Army for over thirty years, fighting four different armies almost back-to-back! Yeah, he was asleep for five years between Halo 3 and 4, but since he wasn't aware of what was going on, mentally he didn't age, which means he didn't really get rusty. He definitely had the edge in skill and experience.

Bryant: But Boba Fett wasn't completely overwhelmed. His jetpack did allow for better movement and mobility than John's own jetpack or boosters. Given his superior cunning, he should be able to maneuver around John and get a lucky hit from behind. But it's unlikely that he would know about John's weak point, so he wouldn't be actively trying to hit that particular spot.

Thea: Even if he was trying to, Master Chief's motion tracker let him keep track of where Boba Fett was, which means he wouldn't be able to get that hit easily. And Master Chief could get around Boba Fett even more easily with his own gear.

Bryant: Basically, Boba Fett just didn't have what he needed to take John out. As we already said, the motion tracker kept track of where Boba Fett was and where he was moving. The Energy Sword matched the Lightsaber, and while Boba Fett's jetpack did give him better mobility, it's severely limited fuel meant that this couldn't last forever. John was a better, more experienced fighter who was stronger, tougher, and faster. His defense could repair itself. And while most of his arsenal would be useless against Beskar, the rest of his guns could pick up the slack.

Thea: On top of that, every injury Boba Fett got would stick, while the Chief could heal himself with his multiple healing options. He had more shields for defense, and he could drain the battery of Boba Fett's weapons with his many power draining gear, like Plasma Pistols, Pulse Grenades, and Power Drain.

Bryant: Boba Fett certainly put up a good fight, but John's greater abilities, and overwhelming arsenal put him ahead.

Thea: Chief just left Boba feeling Mag-numb. Which means the winner of this WI Battle is Master Chief!

I gotta admit, this was a little more challenging than I thought. Master Chief just had too many weapons. Hopefully I did both of these characters justice. Hope you enjoyed it. As per the usual, leave a review! Azure out!

Bryant: Okay, time for episode twenty. What are we going to do this time?

Thea: Well, I was kind of thinking of this.

Bryant: ...This?

Thea: Yeah! The last one was pretty fun to do!

Azure: Pretty fun for you to do. I was thinking for a while.

Thea: Ah come on, let's just do it!

Bryant: I don't know. Seems to be a little lazy.

Thea: It'll be fine. If people are okay with Death Battle filling half of Season 7 with Marvel vs DC fights-

Bryant: They're not.

Thea: Azure is. If people are okay with Death Battle filling half of Season 7 with Marvel vs DC fights, we can do this every ten episodes.

Azure: Fine. Bryant?

Bryant: You got it boss.

Three red and white balls rolled across the floor. They burst open in a flash of light, revealing three Pokemon.

GENERATION THREE!
