When Carmen woke up she was in a room that she did not recognize.

''Good, you're awake.'' The woman said.

Carmen nodded. Then tried to get up but was then held back by the woman.

''Careful now. You could get altitude sickness.'' She said,

''Altitude sickness?'' Carmen murmed.

The woman nodded her head. ''It's very common here.''

''Also, don't worry.'' The woman added.

Carmen looked at the woman in confusion.

''The baby is okay.''

Right. That.

Carmen and the baby slept the whole way to South Africa. But then Carmen woke up once she felt the plane go down.

She hushed the child who was about to cry and then contacted Player.

"Player, I'm here."

"See you are red. Now listen, Dr. Bellum has planted several bombs to go off around the area. Your job is to disable those alarms to avoid South Africa being blown to bits.''

''But what would V.I.L.E get from destroying the poorest country in the world?'' Carmen asked, confused.

''It seems Africa has plenty of space for them to plant more illegal projects. And possible gold buried around the place.'' Player explained.

''Very greedy of V.I.L.E.'' Carmen hummed.

''Elephants are most likely spotted around here.'' The tourist guide said

''Guys look!'' Ivy said and pointed to a baby elephant.

''How cute.'' Carmen smiled. Then looked at her baby that was sleeping.

''But that baby elephant is nothing compared to this baby.'' Zack said.

''Darn right.'' Ivy said.

Back in the hotel room..

Carmen was getting ready and put on her red coat and placed her red hat on. She looked at the baby that was resting peacefully on the bed. She winced.

''I shouldn't leave my newborn alone.''

But then the mission….

''Creak''

Carmen's head shot to the direction of the noise and gasped.

''Gray?'' Carmen asked, shocked.

Gray, who had just pickpocketed the door and gotten into Carmen's hotel room said:

''Where is my child?''

Carmen just stood there frozen from his appearance.

''W-what?''

''Gray I didn't think you'd be here.'' That was all Carmen could say.

''Well, what can I do when my child is born?" Gray asked, shrugging and smirking.

Carmen took a quick glance at her son and frowned.

''What are you doing here Gray?'' Asked Carmen.

''I just want to see my child. Whom you clearly haven't introduced me to.'' Gray said and dropped the act.

Carmen saw that her child was awake and then made little bubbles in his mouth.

She quickly scooped him in her arms. Letting her gloved hand trace against his face. The child laughed at the contact. Carmen smiled.

Carmen then dropped the smile as soon as she set eyes on Gray.

''Do you believe me lambkins? I'm no longer with V.I.L.E anymore.'' Gray said.

Carmen hummed.

''How do I know I can trust you?''

''I know almost all of Dr. Bellum's lab locations. I know them througly.'' Gray said.

''Player can help me with those.'' Carmen said. Clutching onto her son.

''I knew you'd say that so what if I told you I know of a place that now even your little friend knows.'' Gray said.

Carmen's eyes widened.

''What kind of place?'' Carmen asked.

''Countess Cleo has an underground residence under Constantinople. If you let me help you I will tell you everything.'' Gray extended his hand. ''And this can be your next Caper.''

Carmen thought for a moment. Then she looked up at her former best friend.

''fine. But we're doing things my way.'' Carmen said. Then put the baby down on the bed.

''alright Lambkins.'' Smiled Gray.

''There's just one thing.'' Gray said. His smile dropped.

''Huh?''

Gray took a spray out.

''Sorry Carmen.'' Gray said as he sprayed Chloroform in her face.

''Why you-''

Carmen could not finish her sentence as she was knocked out cold from the Chloroform.

When Carmen woke up she was on her bed. Her coat and her hat were placed on the sofa nearby.

What the….

Then she remembered.

Gray!

Of course.

Gray didn't feel well. The mission had been completed without Carmen's help. Since he was an electrician he knew how to work the cables. Using them to his advantage. Maybe now was a good time to check on Carmen. And his child.

When he got back there he knew he was in for a stern talking to.

''What did you do to me?''

Yep.

''I was just trying to protect you. But the mission was completed without you.''

''You should have let me help.''

''that's another thing. Carmen, you just gave birth. I know it everyone knows it.''

Carmen's face softened.

''You need to take more care of yourself."

''Even if you don't want to.''
