Honoka couldn't help but smile at Nagisa's unique and original way of confessing her love to her. She understood that Nagisa felt indecisive and even scared about what she was going to do from now on, but Honoka was totally willing to do her part and go hand in hand with Nagisa on that path.

She loved that girl so much.

Honoka tried to be sweet and understanding towards her cute and nervous girlfriend. Nagisa was already aware of everything and she used to startle when Honoka took her hand or when she stole a kiss at the first opportunity and anywhere allowed enough privacy. Honoka tried not to go overboard with Nagisa, she was soft, and she gradually pushed her love towards Nagisa and let her know everything she felt for her.

They were both doing well.

Nagisa still didn't feel ready to tell her family or her friends about her new romantic relationship, Honoka knew that and wanted her girlfriend to take the time for her to be honest with whoever she wanted. The best thing was to let time take care of putting everything in its place and helping Nagisa to enjoy this new path together with Honoka, the latter knew that Nagisa was happy by her side; she was just shy and blushed very easily. Nagisa was so clumsy and so cute!

The only person who was aware of Nagisa and Honoka's relationship was grandma Sanae.

"Are you going on a date with Nagisa-san?" Sanae asked with a soft smile.

"Yes, Nagisa wants us to hang out near the river, so I'll take Chuutaro to play in the water," Honoka replied as she finished getting ready for her date.

"Do you want to invite her to dinner?" Sanae suggested.

"Can I?" Her grandmother agreed. "I'll invite her!"

Honoka finally called for her dog so she could get out of the house. She texted Nagisa to let her know that she was on her way and the reply was not long in coming. The message said that Nagisa was already there so Honoka hurried over. She said goodbye to her grandmother and left the house towards the river.

Fifteen minutes later, Honoka and her dog arrived at the meeting place. Nagisa was already there, sitting on the grass and it was obvious that she had something in her hands. Honoka unleashed her dog and the cheerful canine went straight to greet Nagisa with licks on her face and joyful barks. Nagisa hugged and patted the dog on the head before letting him run wherever he wanted.

"Did I make you wait long?" Honoka asked with a soft smile. She walked up to Nagisa and kissed her cheek in greeting.

Nagisa blushed a lot and giggled for a few seconds as she nervously scratched the hair on the back of her neck. "Don't worry, I arrived before the time."

Honoka suddenly made a worried face. "Everything is alright?"

"Ah... Yes! Everything is fine, I actually left the house early because mom wanted me to help her cook before leaving, but the kitchen and I don't have a good relationship."

Honoka laughed cutely. "Don't be lazy, help your mom."

"Okay, I'll do it," Nagisa replied, amused. She immediately showed Honoka what she was carrying with her: two lacrosse nets and a ball. "Let's play catch!" Nagisa proposed happily.

Honoka's face seemed to light up. "Let's play!"

Honoka's enthusiasm made Nagisa happy. The girl looked at her girlfriend from head to toe. She was wearing a very cute skirt, her blouse suited her well, and Honoka was seriously gorgeous. Nagisa blushed and cleared her throat. "I'm glad you're wearing comfortable shoes, I wouldn't want you to get hurt."

"Next time I can wear sneakers, just tell me."

"I will, this time I wanted it to be a surprise," Nagisa said and immediately took a few minutes to teach her girlfriend how to hold the net without getting hurt. Five minutes later, they were already playing catch. "It's fun, right?"

Honoka nodded happily. It wasn't bad at all, but Nagisa was definitely much better. Suddenly Honoka had a good idea. "Shall we bet?"

"Bet?" Nagisa was throwing the ball with little power. "I don't think it's fair if you're just learning."

"Grandma told me to invite you home for dinner. If you win the bet, I'll do whatever you ask after we eat dinner," Honoka proposed. "Of course, if I win, you'll be the one to do what I say. What do you say?"

Nagisa only thought about it for two seconds and immediately blushed. "Okay, let's bet!"

The winner of their little game of catching the ball was Honoka, the latter knowing that Nagisa had lost on purpose.
