TUXEDO

There was a special day that Nagisa liked very much and it was her birthday. Her mother prepared a veritable banquet for her and let her eat as much as she wanted, her father gave her lacrosse equipment and her brother always gave her a box of chocolates that were for children. Nagisa really liked those chocolates.

That day she went to school. Her friends Shiho and Rina gave her a small cake to eat for lunch, her teammates congratulated her, but what Nagisa was most looking forward to was what Honoka had planned for that special day. Her girlfriend didn't give any clues and Nagisa couldn't even imagine what Honoka was preparing. She looked very normal throughout the day.

"Are you going to tell me what you did?" Nagisa asked as she left the school together with Honoka.

"Not yet or I'll ruin the surprise. I want you to be really surprised," Honoka said playfully as she held her pretty girlfriend's hand.

"I can pretend that I'm surprised, I always do it with my family. I already know that a surprise party is waiting for me when I get home," Nagisa insisted. "Come on, tell me."

"No. I promise you it will be worth the wait."

Nagisa finally gave up and smiled at Honoka. "Okay, I'll wait."

"Good girl," Honoka kissed Nagisa's cheek.

Nagisa blushed and accepted the kiss gladly. The passing of the months had helped her to be less nervous about Honoka's displays of affection, it didn't matter if they were public or not. Honoka always tried to do it when they didn't have people around them, she wouldn't put Nagisa in a really awkward situation and Nagisa really appreciated it.

The girls arrived at the Yukishiro house. Nagisa seriously had no idea what Honoka had in store, but what she did notice was that Grandma wasn't home, nor was the dog. Honoka guided Nagisa to her bedroom.

"I need to finish some preparations, go to the back room when I text you on your phone, until then, don't go out of the bedroom, okay?"

"Okay," Nagisa scratched her head. "Now I do want to know what you have planned."

"It will be fun," Honoka said with a smile. "Oh right," she pointed to a box on her bed. "There's something there for you to wear."

"Really?" Nagisa smiled.

"Yeah, while you get some rest and change your clothes, wait for me to send you the message, and don't go peeking, okay?"

"OK!"

Honoka left and closed the door. Nagisa took a deep breath and immediately went to see what was in the box. What she found was a beautiful pink dress with some black lines. It was a very elegant dress. She quickly put it on herself. She also found a matching hair ornament and shoes.

Twenty minutes later, Nagisa finally received the text, a simple "you can come now" was enough to make her smile. She left her girlfriend's bedroom and went to the room at the back of the house; Nagisa knew that it was unoccupied. The house was too big for two people and a dog.

Upon entering the room, what was inside was a beautifully decorated table with food, candles, bottles of some expensive-looking drink, flowers in a beautiful vase, and soft music. But what stood out the most in the room was Honoka wearing a white and blue tuxedo. The icing on the cake was that Honoka had put her hair up in a high ponytail.

Nagisa felt her heart pounding. The girl swallowed as she blushed.

"You look gorgeous Nagisa," Honoka said as she took Nagisa's hand leading her to the table.

"Thank you, Honoka." Nagisa mumbled with a lot of effort. "You look very handsome."

"Thank you".

"Did you really set all this up?" An incredulous Nagisa asked. "I can't believe it."

"Yeah, I planned it two weeks ago," Honoka commented, satisfied. "Do you remember that you once told me that you wanted to go to an expensive restaurant and eat fancy food while you were accompanied by a handsome boyfriend wearing a tuxedo?"

Nagisa smiled nervously. "I..."

"My house isn't an expensive restaurant, but the food is luxurious," she prepared with the help of her grandmother. "And I'm not your boyfriend, but I'm your girlfriend and I have no problem wearing a tuxedo just for you."

Nagisa was speechless; she wanted to cry with joy. "This is better than a fancy restaurant and you're better than an imaginary boyfriend," she said nervously, blushing deeply. "Thank you."

"Happy birthday Nagisa," Honoka said softly, kissing Nagisa's lips sweetly and smiling at her. "Let's eat."

"I'd love to," said a lovesick Nagisa.
