"The Alphas killed someone.", Scott rushed up to Sam with Isaac and Stiles by his side.

"It's not the Alphas!", Stiles denied.

"I'm confused, are there more alphas?", Sam asked.

"The twins.", Isaac answered. Sam raised her eyebrows. "The new twins?" They nodded. "Tall and blond? Those twins?", they nodded again.

"What the hell…", Sam muttered. "Who'd they kill and why am I just now being told this?"

"I-I just know. It was them. They also attacked me during cross country this morning and—and we fought them. They killed some kid.", Isaac rushed.

"What Isaac means is we found him like the others. He was tied to a tree, throat slashed, blood everywhere, the whole nine yards.", Scott explained.

"That doesn't exactly sound like werewolf behavior, though….", Sam mumbled.

"Thank you!", Stiles exclaimed.

"That's not the point, the point is that they killed someone.", Isaac said. They all stopped in the hallway as Scott rummaged through his locker.

A sudden wave of nausea washed over Sam but she shook her head, fighting it. Maybe she ate something bad.

"Okay so maybe they did or maybe they didn't kill the kid. This is, like, the fourth body. What if he was a virgin?", Sam asked.

"The kid had to be a virgin. The last three were, so it's a link.", Stiles said.

"So it's some sex crazed killer…", Sam says, disturbed.

"Anybody could be next.", Scott said. Sam sighed, scratching the back of her head. "Welp, I guess we're next, huh?"

"Uh, no! Stiles needs sex! Right now!", her best friend whined. Sam shook her head. "Stiles."

Sam sighed, pointing at Scott and Isaac. "Try not to kill any of the twins or at least don't get on their bad side!"

"No promises.", Isaac grumbled, walking away. Sam looked at Scott. "Keep an eye on him please."

Later on, Scott informed Sam about a plan him, Allison, and Isaac had created to get the Alphas in trouble.

She was told to go sneak a few tools from the woodshop class that could be used to take apart and put back together a bike.

She easily snuck out with the tools but before she could even move throughout the hallway, her body felt like it was on fire. Right in the middle of her core, in fact.

She started sweating from the blistering pain and rushed into an empty bathroom. Throwing her bag off of her shoulders, she ran to a sink feeling hot all over. She looked at her face and saw my eyes rimmed with red.

What the hell was happening…? She turned on the water, splashing her face with the cold liquid before sinking to her knees. It felt like someone was jabbing at her back. All the way to her chest. It was overwhelming.

She felt hard pricks at different places of her body and it was killing her. She felt like she was suffocating, as if someone was trying to choke her out.

She heard someone's muffled voice and looked up to see Scott rushing over to her. "What's going on??", he urged. She shook her head, unable to get a word out as she trembled in pain, trying to gasp for air as she practically clawed at her stomach.

Scott brought her into his arms, taking her hand and instantly, his veins turned black. Scott grunted in pain, waiting for it to reside as Sam's body immediately relaxed from the pain. They sighed as Sam finally caught her breath.

"Wh-What was that?", she asked. "Thats what I should be asking. Are you okay? Should I call Derek?", he asked. Sam looked at him in confusion. "For what? Let him be. Cora's with him. They need some time together."

Scott sighed and helped her up. "The twins didn't touch you, huh?", he asked, looking her over. Sam shook her head in confusion. "No, why?"

"You sure you're okay?"

Sam nodded. "Yeah, now. I don't know what the hell that was."

He looked her over once more and sighed, leading her out so they could get to work.

Scott and Sam sat down beside the twins as Ms. Blake wasn't even paying attention. Sam turned around in her seat to see Scott smirking at the twins, who fumed in their seats.

Sam held back a laugh. Scott reached into his backpack and took out a couple metal pieces of Aiden's bike and placed it on his desk.

"That looks kind of important.", Scott said, reaching in his bag for another piece.

"I have no idea what this thing does, do you, Sam?", Scott wondered.

"Nope, but whatever it does could probably be fixed with these.", Sam muttered, taking out a wrench, screwdriver, and hammer, passing them on Scott's desk.

In the hall, the engine of Aiden's bike could be heard. Aiden jumped out of his seat and sprinted out of the class.

"Wait, Aiden, don't!", Ethan called after his brother. Ms. Blake looked around beyond confused.

Each student could hear the bike engine running and Aiden finally screaming at Isaac to get off his bike. The whole class got up out of their seats and rushed outside into the hallway, Ms. Blake trailing behind. Scott and Sam were one of the firsts out of the room to see Isaac quickly jogging towards them. Sam gave him a grin as he stood beside her, innocently.

"You've got to be kidding me!", Ms. Blake shrieked, pushing her way out of the surprised yet amused students. "You realize this is going to result in suspension.", she scolded the twin. Aiden stood there bewildered at her accusation while Isaac and Sam gave each other fist bumps.

Ms. Blake let class out early after the whole motorcycle incident and because of that, Sam felt no need to go home early so sbe went to Derek's to see how the sibling bonding was going.

After arriving, she took an elevator up to Derek's loft. She walked in, smiling. "You should've been there, Der—" She stopped as she saw Derek lying in a pool of blood with a metal pipe covered in blood near him.

She rushed over to him. "What the hell happened?", she asked, crouching near him, not sure where he's hurt at.

"Get out.", he groaned.

"What? N-no! Hell no! What the hell happened?", Sam pressed.

"Now.", he growled. Sam's eyes widened in realization. "They were here, weren't they? Deucalion? Are you even healing?", Sam rushed.

"Slowly.", he rasped. Sam helped him sit up. "I got you.", she says. "I got him.", she heard, looking up as a girl with light brown hair was pulled up in a messy ponytail, and her brown eyes were fierce. She was dressed in a pair of sneakers, black sweatpants, and a black Nike sports bra.

She stormed over to them with a bottle of water in her hand. "Cora?", Sam asked, in realization. She rolled her eyes. "Yeah. Who the hell are you?"

"A friend of your brother's. You probably don't remember chasing us down the other night.", Sam says before turning to Derek. "Why aren't you healing any faster?", Sam asked.

"I don't know.", he panted. He shook his head. "You need to get out."

"You haven't given up trying to push me away, yet? It doesn't get old?", Sam scoffed dismissively, helping him to his bed.

She sat him down and stood by him as his eyes fluttered.

"Please just leave.", he weakly begged.

"Derek, what happened?", Sam pressed. His eyes looked into her, conflicted and frustrated. He didn't want her involved. The alphas threatened to kill Cora already and everyone he knows. He got lucky when Peter's bite didn't kill her or Kate, or when she got shot or even the hunters and Jackson. They came out on top after every circumstance that happened. This time… He wasn't so sure.

Derek explained everything Deucalion said and did. Deucalion was going to force Derek to kill one of his own, which also included Sam.

He needed to get rid of everyone close to him as soon as possible and it upset her. It was like Peter all over again. It started storming as he finished healing, and looked outside his window.

Before Sam could say her piece, the front door opened and Isaac walked through.

"Hey Derek.", he greeted. Derek didn't face Isaac. In fact, he stayed in that same area since he explained what happened, and ended up drowning himself in whatever he could drink.

"You need to leave.", Derek said. Isaac blinked a few times before letting out a chuckle.

"What?", his beta asked.

"You heard me, you need to leave. Get out.", Derek ordered. "Is this about the tw—"

"No.", Derek cut him off.

"Okay, I—I don't get it.", Isaac leaned against a column, "Well did something happen?"

"It's just not going to work with both of you here. I've got Cora now. It's too much. I need you out tonight.", Derek pressed.

Isaac laughed incredulously and looked around. "Where am I supposed to go?"

"Somewhere else.", Derek harshly said.

Isaac's smile fell. "Did I do something wrong, Derek?"

"You're doing something wrong right now by not leaving.", Derek turned around and pointed to the door in anger.

"Oh come on.", Isaac rolled his head and walked forward. Why wasn't anyone understanding? This wasn't something they could take so lightly!

"Just get out.", Derek demanded. "Get out."

"Come—"

"Go!" Derek screamed, throwing the glass in his hand at Isaac. Isaac ducked, shielding his face, so the glass hit the column behind him.

Sam flinched, freezing as she looked at Isaac's flinching form. Isaac stood there for a second, taking in what just happened. Conflicted, he turned around, grabbing whatever he could and left.

Derek was leaning against the table in the main room. He looked angry, and he wasn't even looking at Sam. His eyes were closed. Sam glanced at him, pissed now. "The fuck is your problem? Seriously, does not explaining shit take too much of your time?"

"You wanted hardass Derek, you got it.", he glared at me. "You didn't have to do him like that!", Sam combatted, storming up to him. "Hell, yell at me, fuss at me, throw bottles at me, but you had no reason to do that to him. The whole point of you biting him in the first place was because of the shit his dad was doing and you just reminded him of that!"

"How do you know that?", Derek asked.

"Mr. Lahey wasn't as subtle about his abuse as he thought he was. I know abuse when I see it and it is not something you play with.", Sam glared.

"Leave, Sam.", Derek pushed.

"No. I'm not leaving. You can do this brooding shit all you want, but it's not gonna get me to leave you."

"You all are going to end up dead if you stay."

"We won't. Stop pushing us away.", Sam argued.

"You don't get it, Sam! You don't get it!", Derek roared, storming up to her. "This isn't shit like Peter or Kate, Gerard, or Matt, or even the Kanima! This is worse than what we've been through and you're not even considering it! We'll be lucky if one of us make it out of this alive! We won't if you stay. Not Scott. Not Isaac. Not me. Not you."

"So you're just giving up?", Sam challenged. Derek paused.

"You haven't given up to stop someone from taking your power. You haven't given up on being an alpha. Hell, you came up with a plan so you could take Peter's powers from him as alpha, and now you're giving up? That's not something an alpha does.", Sam say, not letting him have another word before she gave him space to calm down.

Sam walked over to her car, closing the door from the pelting rain as she got a call from Stiles. She answered. "What happened?"

"The music teacher and Harris are missing.", he informed. Sam sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose.

"Missing or dead?", Sam asked.

"Dead. Presumably."

"Then this isn't a virgin sacrifice.", Sam says. These were adults. Now there isn't a link.

"It's not. They were all involved with the military. Harris, Kyle, even the music teacher all had service connections.", Stiles said.

Sam's eyebrows furrowed, "And that means what?"

"They were military sacrifices. Warriors. Three of them."

"It's not a link at all then. It's a pattern." Sam glanced at the loft building before her. She had to tell him whether or not he was ready to talk.

"I know where they are!", Scott announced as he slid the front door to Derek's loft open. Derek, Peter, Cora, Boyd, and Sam circled around the loft table looking at a map.

"Same building as the Argents. We know.", Derek said. "Cora and I followed the twins."

"Then they want you to know.", Scott realized.

"Yup.", Sam said.

"Or more likely they don't care.", Peter suggested.

"What is this?" Scott walked up to the table, trying to figure out what they were doing.

"Isn't it obvious? The schemers are scheming. Coming up with a coup de main, better known as a pre-emptive strike."

"You're going after them?", Scott asked, surprised.

"Tomorrow. And you're going to help us.", Derek crossed his arms over his chest. "They're one floor above in the penthouse. Right above Allison.", Derek informed.

"So kill them first? That's the plan?", Scott asked.

"They won't even see it coming."

"Yeah, like they won't be able to see him coming a mile away.", Sam rolled her eyes.

"Why is the default plan always murder? Just once can someone try to come up with something that doesn't involve killing everyone?", Scott asked, exasperated.

"Don't you ever get tired of being so blandly moral?", Peter asked.

"Not that I don't disagree with you, Scott.", Peter turned towards Derek with a smile.

"Not everyone likes to be a murderer, Peter.", Sam says.

"Well I do.", Cora said. "Why do we need this kid? In fact, why do we need both these kids?"

Sam looked at her with an offended look. "I'm sorry, are we not the same age?"

"These kids helped save your life.", Derek reminded with raised eyebrows.

"I see the thank you is still pending.", Sam muttered, crossing her arms, and leaned against the table.

"And you," Derek glared at Scott, "know we can't just sit back and wait for them to make the first move."

"We can't beat a pack of Alphas." Scott agreed.

"That's why we're going after Deucalion. Just him." Cora smiled.

"Cut off the head of the snake and the body dies.", Boyd nodded.

"The snake isn't not gonna fight back, though.", Sam say. "Which is why we need a better plan than just rushing in and killing."

"No one asked you.", Cora argued.

"Wasn't talking to you. Pipe down.", Sam countered.

The boys stayed quiet as they watched the girls argue. Sam didn't understand why Cora was so… Hostile. What was her issue?

"Leave, no one wants you here.", Cora growled, her eyes quickly glowing gold.

Sam uncrossed my arms, standing straight. "You might wanna watch yourself.", she challenged. "We still saved your fucking life. That Deucalion shithead could've made you his next thing to kill just because, if it wasn't for us. And by the way, you're welcome."

Cora growled at her and Sam glared back at her.

"Alright. You can have your little cat fight later.", Peter sighed. "The thing is, this isn't a snake. This is a hydra. And like Scott and Sam said, they're all Alphas."

"Deucalion's still the leader.", Derek says.

"Let's hope so. Because do you know what happened when Hercules cut off one of the heads of the hydra?", Peter asked Derek.

"Two more grew back in its place.", Scott remembered.

"Somebody's been doing their summer reading.", Peter smiled.

"Are we not concerned about being beaten in our own territory or what?", Sam asked, sitting back down on the table.

"And that's why we're doing something about it.", Derek sighed.

"You're just egging them on. If you all really want to get hurt, this is one way to do it. Just put it off for a few more days."

The next few hours and the three stooges went to deal with the Deucalion. Irresponsible on their part but they couldn't be alone.

Sam sighed, reluctantly arriving at the Argent residence and saw Allison, already ready to go.

She frowned once she saw Sam. "You came to tell me?"

"Seems you already knew.", Sam says and turned to get in her car.

"Sam?", Allison called and Sam turned to see her look down at her feet, and back at sam. "Scott told me everything. I'm sorry."

Sam quirked her lips, unsure but for the sake of her boyfriend, she forgave her. For now. "Me too.", Sam says.

Allison gave a small smile and they got ready to head for the boys.

"What will it be Derek? Pack or family?", Kali taunted the older brother. Cora cried out in pain as Kali pressed down on her throat with her clawed feet.

Derek looked from Cora to Boyd and back again. Sam looked at Allison and motioned her head towards the twins.

Allison shot off the first arrow and it hit the twins, throwing them back, splitting them in two. Sam used their shadows to yank themselves from under their feet, knocking them down.

She hit another towards Kali that ended up flying a short sparkler on the ground mere feet from her.

"Your eyes! Cover your eyes!", Deucalion ordered. At first it looked like they were winning as Sam knocked Kali away from Cora, knocking her back against a wall.

Sam huffed and watched Ennis and Scott charge at each other. The Deucalion's attention focused on Scott, who slid away from Ennis.

Derek sent punches from Ennis, while Ennis took one shot and clawed Derek right through his stomach and chest.

Scott and Ennis began fighting again, Scott, broken and torn, managed to help Derek and run up behind Ennis and ended up slashing the back of his leg.

Ennis stumbled, not letting go of Derek. Sam's eyes widened as she realized what was happening. Ennis was gonna take Derek down with him.

That he did, as they fell to their deaths.

"Derek!", Sam screamed, rushing to get where he fell. Allison grabbed her and pulled her back as Sam watched the smoke below swallow Derek. This wasn't supposed to happen.

Derek worried about them getting killed and he ended up being killed…

She couldn't sleep. She couldn't eat. Just the thought of eating made her nauseous. She couldn't even tell her mom what happened.

Afraid of closing her eyes for even a moment, she was scared to see Derek falling again and again. Unfortunately, Sam's mom took note of her sudden drastic behavior in the house since she's been off of work recently.

She sat Sam down at the dining table. "What's been going on with you?", she asked her daughter. Sam shrugged. She couldn't tell her that she watched someone she cared about die right in front of her. There was so much she didn't know.

The thought of telling her mom that she had gotten bitten and suddenly got powers was crossed off the list. It wasn't happening. If anything, it made her more nauseated with fear to even utter the words.

"Sam.", she pressed and glanced at her. She looked at Sam with a sad expression and it made Sam tear up instantly.

"What's wrong?", she cooed, concerned and Sam let out a sob. "It's my fault.", Sam cried as she took Sam in her arms. Sam couldn't explain. She wouldn't understand. No one would. They'd have to see it to believe it.

Their last conversation wasn't even a conversation… They argued. That was the last thing she wanted and she had to live with that. She felt guilty. Why didn't she pull Ennis away? Why didn't she stop Ennis before he could land a hit on Derek?

She didn't even get to tell her mom what she tried to say. She cried myself to sleep before she could. It didn't last long as she heard her phone ring and sigh as she picked it up.

Sam groaned as she looked at Peter's name pop up on her phone. She reluctantly answered it. "What, Peter."

"Well, hello to you too.", she heard. "Peter, I'm not in the mood.", she rubbed her face.

"Go get dressed and meet Cora and I.", he said.

"For?", Sam asked.

"To look for clues. Derek and Ennis' bodies aren't there.", he said. Sam wasn't gonna have her hopes up. Derek walked away one good time. She doubted he could do it again.

"Peter, I don't wanna play detective. Do that with Stiles.", she said, ready to hang up.

"There's a possibility Derek's still alive.", he urged, quickly. Sam took a deep breath through her nose.

"If his body isn't here, it's a possibility he's still alive.", he says.

"Where do you want me to meet you?", Sam rolled her eyes.

She sighed as she got out of her car to see Cora and Peter in the back parking lot of Deaton's hospital.

She may not have liked Cora at the moment, but how was she even feeling?

Peter noticed Sam, giving her a short smile. "You look a little worse for wear."

"Why are we here?", Sam asked, pocketing her fists.

"I'm asking the same thing. An animal clinic?", Cora asked, confused.

"It's not as ordinary as it looks.", Peter said.

"Deaton saved me after you bit me. Doesn't sound like an animal doctor now does it?", Sam asked, rolling her eyes.

"The building's half made out of mountain ash. I'm not actually sure how to get in.", he says.

"You don't. That's why you weren't able to before.", Sam reminded.

"Maybe we can do what normal people do and knock on the door.", Cora said. Peter stopped her from walking forward. He concentrated for a second.

"They're here.", Peter said.

"Who?", Cora and Sam asked simultaneously.

"All of them.", he grimly replied and Sam's eyebrows furrowed.

"Ethan's on the cross country meet with Scott, Stiles, and Isaac. And as far as we know Ennis is "dead". So who's the rest?", Sam asked.

"There are five heartbeats.", he said.

"Okay, Deaton is one. Then who's the other 4?"

"It's slow, lethally slow."

"Ennis or Derek.", Cora realized.

"Which one?", Sam asked the uncle.

"H-how do we know if it's Derek or Ennis?", Cora pushed.

"Or both?", Sam asked. Suddenly, the door swung open and all three of them ducked behind the car. A frustrated Kali came storming out with Aiden on her tail. The she-wolf ran a frustrated hand through her dark hair and let out a roar while Aiden tried to control her. Car alarms began going off.

"I know one thing. That wasn't for Derek.", Peter grabbed both Cora and Sam's wrist and led the girls out of Deaton's.

Sam instantly felt the lump in her throat come back again. She tried taking deep breaths, but it was harder to do as they escaped.

"Hey," Peter tried to calm her which in a weird way, did comfort her a little. "He kept telling me to go…", Sam whimpered. "Samantha.", Peter's eyebrows furrowed and he held Sam's arms.

"I'm sorry… This wasn't supposed to happen…", Sam shook her head, as hot tears welled up in her eyes. Peter sighed as she watched the girl fall apart. It was odd to him.

"Why are you so upset about this? It's not like he was your brother!", Cora growled. Sam looked at her, frustrated.

"What–? Why shouldn't I be? This entire time— you—", Sam took a breath. "A lot of shit has happened while you were gone and this entire time you've been nothing but pissy every chance you can get. He's gone through so much while you were gone doing who knows what. I was the one who was with him while Kate Argent tortured us for two whole days. I helped keep him alive and floating while he was paralyzed in a pool. I was here while he," Sam pointed a finger over to Peter, "beat Derek until he was almost unconscious. Not once were you even concerned."

She stormed up to Cora, frustrated and furious at her behavior and insensitivity. "You attacked your brother and you chased after us and tried to finish the job and that's fine with you? Are you serious?"

She didn't even reply. Even Peter looked a little ashamed.

Sam shook her head. "I-I don't know. I'm upset because he was my friend. He's someone I cared about and relied on and I probably shouldn't have, but— I don't know!", Sam exclaimed.

He's done so much and Sam didn't get the chance to say thank you or try to reassure him that everything was gonna be okay.

Cora shook her head, looking away from Sam while Peter looked at Sam with a slight sad expression. Sam didn't even know he could be sad.

"I'm too tired to argue. We came here for no reason. Derek's dead. I'm gonna move on…", Sam says, backing away and getting to her car, pulling out of the lot and straight home.

That was a complete waste of time. She should've been on the bus with Stiles and Scott. Cross Country didn't sound so bad now. She was too tired to do any type of moving anymore.

The moment she got into her room, her stomach turned. Sam rushed into her bathroom, instantly emptying her stomach into her toilet. Crap couldn't express how she felt.

She was vulnerable. She was alone.

She didn't have to be though. After cleaning herself up, she packed a bag, filling it with overnight clothes as she left the house once more and headed down to the motel Scott, Stiles and Isaac stayed for the night.

Sam looked at the motel in front of her. The Motel Glen Capri was lit up in bright neon's. This was where the cross-country team was staying.

It was in the middle of the desert and the place itself looked deserted. What was Coach thinking when he picked this place…

She found the door that had Stiles' voice erupting from the outside. He was so loud but it was welcoming.

When she knocked on the door, the door swung open seconds later, revealing Stiles. He looked surprised to see her, relieved even, but the surprise washed over with a smile.

"Hey.", he said, giving her a tight hug, rocking her for a moment. "You're okay.", Stiles mumbled and gave her forehead a kiss before bringing her inside.

Scott got up to hug her just as tight. He felt just as much blame as she did. He was right next to them. He could've stopped Ennis.

They parted and Sam set her stuff down. "I'm gonna go shower and we'll talk, yeah?", Sam says and the boys nodded, giving her space.

Stiles let Sam know where to find the towels for a bath and she went to the front desk. It was empty and it smelled of old cigarettes and dust.

She turned around and jumped at the sight of Coach Finstock. She was caught.

Shit.

He took his stupid whistle and blew it in her face. Sam flinched, ready to cover her ears. "Wilson! What are you doing here?", he yelled. Sam pulled at her earlobe, trying to get her hearing back. "I was trying to get towels…", Sam says.

"No! What are you doing here? Here in this hotel. Now.", he asked. Oh.

"Coach, I was literally on the bus. I sat right next to Scott and Stiles.", Sam lied. He seemed to take it.

"Next time, be more prepared!", he yelled, blowing his whistle again and Sam coughed at the feel of dust entering her lungs.

How dusty is this place…?

He walked out and Sam sighed as she turned to the front desk, frowning to see towels.

Did he leave them here…?

Welp. More for her. She snatched the towels and walked out of the room, back to the one Stiles and Scott were staying in.

When she got back, Scott and Stiles were gone. Where the hell could they have gone…? She remembered Isaac was here too. Makes sense if they went to go see him.

She walked to her bag, got fresh clothes and walked to the bathroom. Shutting the door behind her, she set her necessities down on the closed toilet lid and sigh as she looked in the mirror.

She looked like shit. That was probably an understatement. There wasn't a thing anyone could do or tell her to relieve this pressure in her chest.

It felt like someone was stepping on her with a heavy boot.

She sighed as sne turned on the water to wash her face. The cool water kinda felt good. She didn't realize how hot her face had gotten. Was she running a fever again?

"You killed Derek.", she suddenly heard a voice whisper. It didn't sound like any of the voices she knew.

It sounded… malicious. She stopped splashing the water in her face and looked in the mirror to see a haunting expression of her reflection staring back at her.

Flinching, she fell backwards, backing up to the wall behind her. The reflection looked at Sam with a head tilt. Her eyes were black, her lips darkened in purple almost as if oxygen was completely taken out of her body.

"You killed Derek.", she croaked. This had to be a hallucination. Like that hallucination she saw when she visited Lydia. It had to be.

The reflection shrieked. "You killed Derek!!"

Sam flinched at the shrill scream, covering her ears. "I did— I didn't…", she whimpered, tearing up.

Maybe she did. She should've stopped him and Scott from leaving. She should've known they were gonna go after the Deucalion. She should've known.

"But you didn't. You let him fall to his death. You could've saved him but you didn't. You watched him die. You killed him.", she croaked.

Sam lifted her head to hear water running in the tub next to her. The tub was filling. She didn't turn it on…

This isn't a hallucination.

"You killed him and there's only one way you can see him.", the reflection suddenly smiled. Sam looked up at the mirror. "I can? I can see him again?"

She nodded, looking over at the filling tub. Suddenly, shd felt like accepting this. She felt numb again, like how I felt going to the woods that night.

He saved her then. He saved her. So many times. She owe him so much.

Sam walked over to the tub, looking at her rippling reflection. "You have to do it. Derek's waiting.", she hear.

Sam climbed into the tub, not caring about her soaking clothes as she let the water fill over her face. It felt peaceful. Sam didn't know what she was talking about with Ms. Morrell. It was… okay.

Sam closed her eyes, feeling myself drift in the water.

Suddenly her chest felt like it was on fire. "Sam!", she heard Stiles' muffled voice cry. "Wake up, please!", he yelled.

Sam lurched awake, coughing up every speck of water from her body. She gripped onto an arm, gasping for air.

She turned to see Stiles' fear stricken face as well as Lydia and Allison's.

"What did you do…?", he asked, softly. Sam looked up at him, her eyes filling with tears again, realizing what was happening. His eyes were shiny with tears as he stared at her in disbelief. "I just… I couldn't—", Sam whimpered before crying in his shoulder.

He wrapped his arms around her tight, afraid of letting her go again. What the hell was going on tonight?? "I'm sorry.", Sam croaked.

They stayed like that for a while, not realizing Allison had left.

Sam's eyes opened to Allison's voice.

"I can't find Scott anywhere.", Allison alerted. They automatically got up as they left the room, looking around for their friend.

Then she smelled it. The smell of gasoline. Her eyes saw a shiny red light as she saw Scott's familiar silhouette. They all got quiet once they noticed what Sam was looking at.

Scott was standing near the bus, dripping in gasoline and holding a flare in his hands. His eyes were glued on the ground and an empty gasoline tank sat in a puddle of its own fluid beside his feet. His face streaked with tears and sorrow.

"Scott.", Allison said. They all walked towards him. He was going to kill himself too…

"There's no hope.", Scott muttered.

"What do you mean, Scott? There's always hope." Allison's voice cracked.

"Not for me. Not for Derek.", he said. Sam's heart dropped.

"Derek wasn't your fault.", Allison shook her head.

"He was mine.", Sam says, placing a hand on her chest as they cautiously step towards him. "Okay? I should've stopped him. You didn't do anything to cause that."

"Every time I try to fight back it just keeps getting worse. People keep getting hurt. People keep getting killed.", he whimpered.

"Scott, listen to me, okay? This isn't you. Alright, this is someone inside your head telling you to do this. Okay? Now—", Sam started but he cuts her off.

"What if it is? What if it is just me? What if doing this is actually the best thing that I can do for everyone else?", he asked, his eyes shiny with tears.

Sam's own filled with tears as she shook her head. "Scott. Please. Don't."

"You've lost everything because of me. It all started that night. The night I got bitten. Do you remember the way it was before that? You, me, and Stiles….we were nothing. We weren't popular, we weren't good at lacrosse, we weren't important. We were no one. Maybe I should just be no one again. No one at all.", Scott said and I glanced at Stiles. His own eyes were shiny as well.

"Scott, just listen to me, okay?" Stiles slowly started walking forward, "you're not no one. Okay? You're someone. Scott, you're my best friend. Kay? And I need you. Scott, you're my brother. Okay, so—" Stiles finally took a step into the pool of gasoline, "if we're going to do this, I think you're going to have to take me with you then." Stiles wrapped his hand around the flare.

"No matter what happened Scott, you're still my best friend…my brother. You're going to have to take me too." Sam stepped up to the two.

"I told you, you're gonna have to fight hard to get rid of us.", she says. "Long and hard, yeah? We're not leaving you."

Sam grabbed Scott's free hand, tightly gripping it in here. Stiles looks at Scott, then to Sam, then to the flare.

Finally, Stiles chucked it behind him and away from Scott. Scott continued quietly crying, and Sam rubbed the back of his hand with my thumb. "It's okay.", Sam says.

The next thing she knew she could hear Lydia screaming 'no' at the top of her lungs as their bodies hit the ground.

Something had exploded. The teens didn't move until it died down. They panted softly as they saw the bus was maintained but the ground next to it had a scorch mark on the side.

"Is everyone okay?", Scott asked, the last of his tears falling down his face.

They all nodded their tear stained faces. Allison and Sam looked at each other and they engulfed each other in a hug. They all got up, seeking refuge in the bus and slept there after getting changed into warmer clothes.

"He's alive, you know.", Sam heard. Her eyes opened to see everyone else still asleep. She didn't wanna get her hopes up.

He fell two stories. No one's gonna survive that, werewolf or not.

"I didn't sense his death. He's alive.", the pale woman whispered to me. Sam's eyes widened. Now that she thought about it, she didn't either.

The next morning, she followed behind the bus that led back to Beacon Hills and immediately took a different trail to Derek's loft.

She felt nervous as she walked up to the building. He had to be alive. He just had to.

As she went up to his door, she yanked it open to see him sitting on the edge of his bed. Sam let out a breath she didn't even know she was holding. His eyes snapped up to Sam's and relaxed.

She placed her hands on her knees, letting out a sob as she instantly felt like tons of weight had lifted off of her body before shr ran to him, tackling him in a hug. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry," She blubbered, as he held her in confusion.

"I'm okay.", she heard him say over her sobs in his shoulder.
