Chapter 3

The Glamrocks' concert is in full swing, but it wouldn't be an authentic Fazbear Entertainment attraction without something going wrong with an animatronic. Meanwhile, amidst the chaos, Gregory and Heather got separated. Gregory manages to find an excellent hiding spot, but he may end up staying hidden longer than he wanted.

"Ladies and Gentlemen! Boys and Girls! Fazbear Entertainment would like you to put your hands together for the one! The only! Freddy Fazbear!" The intercom's voice said.

The announcement caused the crowd to burst into cheering and whistling.

Meanwhile, below the neon stage, the Glamrocks were walking towards the stage lift with their instruments and microphone in hand. They were ready for their big performance.

Montgomery Gator, the bassist, Roxanne Wolf, the keytarist, Glamrock Chica, the guitarist, and last, but certainly not least, Glamrock Freddy- the Lead Vocalist.

When all four members stepped onto the stage left it began ascending to the stage. All four members looked up to the flashing neon lights with smiles on their faces and many thoughts swirling through their processors. The lift brought the four animatronics to the stage. With everyone ready the show kicked off from a joy-filled shout from Montgomery:

"Rock and Roll!"

The stage lit up in blue and pink lights as the crowd cheered so loud, they could wake the dead.

Montgomery started off with a smooth bass solo which made their audience break out in thunderous applause. Gregory and Heather had managed to find a good spot to see all the action. While the crowd was clapping, they could hear a few kids saying various things.

"Monty is so AWESOME!"

"Go, Monty!"

"I hope Monty signs my sunglasses later!"

"I wanna learn to play the bass just like Monty!"

Roxanne took center stage with her passionate keytar solo and a big smile. She could hear her fans chanting her name and a few other praises.

"Go, Roxy!"

"She's so cool!"

"She's so beautiful!"

"One day, I'm gonna be a keytarist just like Roxy!"

"YOU'RE THE BEST ROXY!"

While Roxy's fans were cheering like no tomorrow, Gregory and Heather heard an argument amongst two kids that were near them.

"What are ya saying?! Roxy isn't the best!"

"Are you dumb?! Of course, she is! Nobody's better than Roxy!"

"Oh, yeah?! Well, I heard-"

Gregory and Heather couldn't hear any more of the argument when Glamrock Chica was performing her guitar solo. Chica's fans let out cheers and whistles, and a few girls were even headbanging to her solo. When Glamrock Freddy finished dancing, he grabbed his microphone off its stand. He started to sing but suddenly began to twitch. Gregory noticed this and became concerned.

"Heather? Wha-what's going on?" he asked.

"I don't know, Gregory. But something tells me this isn't going to end well," Heather responded.

Glamrock Freddy's HUD was flashing red and displayed a message.

"WARNING: Hostile Malware Detected! Initiating Anti-Virus Protocols!"

His HUD displayed several patches of purple static. These patches were quickly eliminated by blue pixelated stars. However, more static patches appeared one after another, and more stars appeared to get rid of the static. The static was removed but the lead singer began convulsing. Freddy's HUD flashed red again and displayed another message.

"ERROR: System Overload! Commencing Emergency Shutdown!"

Everyone in the crowd was shocked by what happened next. Glamrock Freddy fell with a loud thud. The loud noise made Gregory almost choke on the Stardrop he was eating. The music came to a stop when the animatronic bear collapsed on stage, and everyone was speechless.

"Freddy!" Glamrock Chica shrieked.

She put her guitar down and put Freddy's right arm over her shoulder, with Monty and Roxy quickly coming to her aid. The stage lights turned off and the crowd erupted into chaos.

"Oh my God, Freddy!"

"What happened to him?"

"Mommy! Daddy! Something's wrong with Freddy!"

"Is Freddy sick?!"

Kids were frantically running around the atrium and poor Gregory and Heather were getting shoved all over the place by panicking kids. With all the commotion going on Gregory fell close to an air vent near the stage. When he looked to see if Heather was by him, he began to panic as he couldn't see her anywhere.

'Heather?! Where is she?!' he thought as the Atrium lights turned on and an announcement played on the intercom.

"Attention, everyone. Due to an unexpected problem, we must stop the show."

Many disappointed groans from children were followed by that announcement.

"We must ask for all guests to calmly leave the Mega Pizzaplex." the intercom continued.

With a sour mood in the air, many parents and guardians gathered all their children and began to leave the Atrium with the Security team. Gregory's panic got worse.

'No, no, no! I can't leave without Heather!'

He had to do something quickly. He didn't want to go back out into the rain, especially not without her. Fortunately, he noticed the air vent close to him. He quickly removed the grate, entered the vent, and put the grate back into place. Gregory didn't spend a lot of time in the vents this time. He found a bright light shining through another vent grate. The small child kicked it open and climbed out. Gregory found himself in a room full of crates and metallic boxes. When looking around the room he spotted Glamrock Freddy hunched over on the ground with his back leaning against the wall. Gregory felt both happy and shocked. He dreamed of meeting Glamrock Freddy alongside Heather in person, but he didn't imagine it would be like this.

Suddenly, a crate fell off of one of the shelves and landed in front of the vent on the ground. Gregory spun around and let out a small gasp. Unfortunately, two technicians were nearby and heard the crate fall.

"What was that?"

Gregory's eyes widened when he realized he was trapped. He heard footsteps getting closer to the door and his only other exit was blocked off.

'No, no, no, no, no, no! What am I supposed to do now?'

Gregory darted his eyes around the room looking for a place to hide. He tried to open one of the metal boxes close to him, but it was locked tight. With the footsteps coming closer Gregory turned to Glamrock Freddy and remembered something Vincent had once told him. He said that the animatronics have stomach hatches for holding cakes, presents, and pinatas. If he could open Freddy's stomach hatch, he could hide.

Was it crazy?

Absolutely.

But right now, Gregory had no other options. He grabbed the chest plate and began to pull as hard as he could. It was a good thing that Freddy was hunched over just enough for Gregory to reach the chest place.

"Come on! Open please!" the boy muttered to himself.

When the hatch was opened Gregory quickly climbed inside and closed it in the nick of time.

When the door opened a tall man with dyed blue hair entered the room followed by another man with blonde hair. They looked around the room to figure out what made that sound.

"The crate fell over. Mind giving me a hand Patrick?" the blonde-haired man asked.

"Sure. I'll help you, Caleb." the blue-haired man responded.

After putting the crate back on the shelf, the technicians turned their attention to Glamrock Freddy.

"The equipment's all set up. Ready to move Freddy?" Caleb said.

Patrick nodded in agreement. They loaded Freddy onto a dolly and rolled him away. Gregory couldn't see what was happening outside of Freddy's stomach hatch, but he knew he was in the lion's den now. One peep and he was a goner. He took small breaths as quietly as he could. This trick helped him avoid getting caught by bad people in the past, but it didn't always work.

Patrick and Caleb entered a room with a large metallic cylinder. They placed Freddy inside the cylinder and Patrick walked to a nearby computer while Caleb connected a cable to Freddy's head.

"Now... let's see what caused Freddy's system to crash," Patrick said.

The computer he was using was running a system check when suddenly, smoke started coming out from underneath Freddy's top hat.

"What the?!" Caleb exclaimed.

He removed Freddy's top hat and opened a small compartment that it covered. He then pulled out the source of the smoke: a small light blue computer chip that released a few tiny sparks.

Gregory hated the smell of smoke. The people he used to live with smoked a lot which frequently caused him to fell sick.

"Well, looks like we found the problem," Caleb said as he held the chip.

"Wait a second... Isn't that the software chip Vincent made?" Patrick asked.

That got Gregory's attention.

'Vincent made that chip?' Gregory thought to himself.

Well, he shouldn't have been surprised since Vincent was called the "Robotology Ruler" frequently.

"I think this is one of the prototypes he made a while back. It looks like the chip caused Freddy's system to overload." Caleb said.

"Uh, Caleb. Just got a call from Astre in the Superstar Daycare. She said Stardrop collapsed after the kids left. Looks like she may have the same problem that Freddy got," Patrick said as he checked an odd watch.

"He put a prototype chip in her too? Surprised Aaron gave the go-ahead for that one," Caleb said.

'Aaron? Wasn't he that woman's husband? I didn't think he worked here.' Gregory thought with surprise.

"Speaking of Aaron, who's gonna take care of the Child Protection animatronics now? I mean, I know his son recently got a degree in robotology but after what happened to her..." Patrick said with a sad sigh.

"I'm sure Mr. Oleveda will think of something. He always does," Caleb said while looking through the room.

He rifled through a drawer until he found three software chips.

"Ha! Found them!" he said as a door behind the cylinder opened.

"Hello? Who's down here?" a female voice asked.

Caleb and Patrick looked up and saw what appeared to be a woman in her twenties. While Gregory couldn't see her, her voice felt comforting to him.

"It's me and Caleb! Whose room did you go through?" Patrick said as the woman came into the light.

The "woman" turned out to also be an animatronic. She had the skin color of a caucasian, long platinum blonde hair that faded into turquoise, and green eyes. She wore a dark green and yellow star-shaped hair clip on the left side of her head, a plain black t-shirt, a pair of knee-length dark green shorts, a pair of Montgomery Gator branded sneakers, a light green jacket with black cuffs tied around her waist, a pair of small blue star-shaped earrings, green nail polish, and a green messenger bag with four pins on it: a Montgomery Gator pin, a light green golf ball, a turquoise comet, and a dark green crown. But with her exposed skin, it is revealed she had ball-like joints that still moved as naturally as a normal person's.

"Roxy's. Don't worry, she didn't notice anyway," the woman responded as she looked at Freddy. "Did you figure out why Freddy and Stardrop passed out?"

"Well... We think that Vincent's prototype chips might've accidentally overloaded their systems. I managed to find the new ones so that should fix the problem." Caleb said as he handed two of the chips to her. "Also, I think you should get one too, Astre. Wouldn't want you to crash too."

'So that's Astre. And wasn't 'Stardrop' the name of one of those candies Heather and I found?' Gregory thought to himself.

"Alright. See you guys' next week," Astre said as she went back the way she came.

"Bye, Astre," Patrick said as he took the last chip from Caleb and then inserted it into Freddy's head compartment and covered it back up with his top hat.

"There we go. Now Freddy should be all fixed up," he said as he walked back to the computer to look at Freddy's system. "I still can't believe what happened to Vincent."

"Neither can I. Actually, why did he get attacked anyway? Far as I know, the guy didn't have any enemies," Caleb asked.

"I don't know all the details, but I remember him saying something about-"

Before Patrick could finish the doors opened and a caucasian male security guard with messy brown hair and grey eyes walked inside.

"Dave?! Wow, this is a surprise. I didn't think you'd be taking the same shift as Vanessa this week," Caleb said.

"Were you guys able to figure out why Freddy passed out on stage?" Dave asked.

Gregory's eyes widened when he heard Dave's voice.

'There's another one?! And that woman's name is Vanessa?' the boy thought to himself.

He held his breath in hopes that he wouldn't come closer to Freddy.

'Please don't open it!' Gregory muttered in his head.

Thankfully Dave stood close to the computer.

"Yeah, we did. This made Freddy and Stardrop malfunction," Caleb responded as he handed the broken software chip to Dave.

"Vincent made this?" Dave asked.

"Yeah. We believe a virus was trying to infect Freddy's and Stardrop's systems during the show. The software chips got rid of it but it also caused their systems to overload. We're about to put Freddy on reduced power mode." Patrick replied.

"What about Stardrop? Does she need to be on reduced power too?" Dave asked.

"Don't think so. Considering she does have a bit of a stronger firewall even without the chip, there's no need to put her in the same mode," Patrick replied.

"Do you think the virus entered the main network?" Dave asked.

"Katelyn did a network scan a while ago and said that something did enter the main network earlier today, but whatever it was left when Freddy and Stardrop collapsed," Caleb responded.

"If that's case you should disconnect Freddy and Stardrop from the main network. Do Astre too, just to be safe. We don't want a repeat of what happened last week," Dave said.

The technicians were a little skeptical about that, but they decided it was for the best. With Freddy's, Stardrop's, and Astre's connection to the Pizzaplex's main network severed they didn't find any other problems with Freddy and began rolling him back to his room. Dave pitched in to help as well.

Gregory was starting to feel tired after everything that had happened that day. He was using every fiber of his being to resist the urge to yawn. He didn't want to be heard with Dave so close to his hiding spot. When Freddy was placed in the chair inside his green room the technicians thanked Dave for his help and bid him farewell. Once Patrick and Caleb were gone Dave looked at Freddy with sad eyes.

"I miss you Vince," he said as he walked out of Freddy's green room.

Vanessa in the Lost and Found looking through the security footage earlier today to see how Gregory and Heather got inside and if they left the show after it was cancelled. Facial recognition from the security feed didn't show Gregory or Heather leaving with the rest of the crowd which led her to the conclusion that they were still in the building. However, finding them would be difficult.

Meanwhile, Gregory was still processing everything he heard the technicians and Dave say, eventually causing the young boy to place his head gently against Freddy's core. He prayed for Heather's safety as he fell asleep.

And with that the first half of the story's prologue is complete. The next chapter will show the second half. God, this one was a long one. For those who don't recognize Dave, he was basically a stand-in for William Afton in the Silver Eyes books. I decided to use his physical appearance but created an actual personality for him. When the opening of the game didn't show the crowd's actual reaction to Freddy's collapse nor showed anyone actually terminating Freddy's connection to the Pizzaplex's main network, it just didn't sit right with me. So, I decided to write out the scenarios. As for Astre and Stardrop, they are OCs that were inspired from the Silver Eyes books, but they are still mechanical in some aspects.
