Disclaimer: I don't own Demon Slayer or Fullmetal Alchemist. Demon Slayer is owned by Koyoharu Gotouge and Shueisha. Fullmetal Alchemist is owned by Hiromu Arakawa and Square Enix.

Azure: The younger siblings of the protagonists of their respective series, which are both extremely popular, who are some of, if not the, only family they have left. They went from regular humans to inhuman beings, which is considered to be taboo in their worlds, through the usage of blood (Muzan's blood turned Nezuko into a demon while Edward used blood to bind his brother's soul to armor). Their brothers join military-like groups in order to find a way to restore their sibling's human body. They're considered to be the muscle of their respective groups and can only be killed in specific ways. Their antagonists are ancient beings obsessed with becoming perfect. There's more connections but they either focus more on their brothers or are spoilers for the Demon Slayer manga.

-Line Break-

Bryant: The bond of siblings is powerful. An ideal sibling pair will always have each other's back despite how much they may fight.

Thea: You wish you had siblings like the ones these two have.

Bryant: Alphonse Elric, the younger brother of the Fullmetal Alchemist.

Thea: And Nezuko Kamado, the younger sister of the Demon Slayer. Who we'll be sticking with the anime for in order to avoid spoilers.

Bryant: I'm Bryant Reese.

Thea: And I'm Thea Price.

Bryant: And we're here to analyze these two fighters and find out who would win, a WI Battle!

-Line Break-

Bryant: Edward Elric was a bright young man. A bit bad tempered, sometimes bitter, but a bright young man, who loved his family. At an early age, he learned to use alchemy circles to create different things in different ways from different materials. And his life was peaceful.

Thea: And then his mom died and his dad disappeared off the face of the Earth. Whelp.

Bryant: Fortunately, Edward had one last person left in his life. His younger brother, Alphonse Elric.

Alphonse Elric:

-Age: 17

-Height: 221 cm

-Weight: Unknown

-Younger brother of Edward Elric

-Likes cats

Bryant: Edward and Alphonse didn't really care about the father they rarely saw, but the mother they lost broke their heart. Unable to deal with the pain, they dedicated their life into studying alchemy, in hopes of bringing her back through the power of science.

Thea: You should know how that's gonna turn out.

Bryant: They trained under Izumi Kurtis, who taught them the knowledge they needed for alchemy, basic hand-to-hand combat, and self-reliance.

Thea: And when they were done, they returned and gathered the materials and ingredients to make a body, with drops of their blood to bring their mom life. The ritual was set, and they got to work. And it all went wrong.

Bryant: The main rule of alchemy, broken by nothing, is the law of Equivalent Exchange. To bring back a soul, they need to sacrifice something of equal worth.

Thea: But a human body isn't as valuable as an actual soul. What even is? That's why human transmutation is taboo. So instead, a different deal was made. Ed lost his leg, and Al lost his entire body!

Bryant: Alphonse's soul would've been claimed by the afterlife, until Edward marked a suit of armor with a blood seal and sacrificed his arm, bringing Alphonse back to life. But with their bodies and lives being forever changed, and having experienced firsthand the rebound of breaking the taboo of alchemy, both realized the grave consequences of their deeds.

Thea: Again. Ed lost a leg. Alphonse lost his entire body! And whatever the heck they brought back definitely wasn't their mom. So they dedicated their lives to tracking down the Philosopher's Stone, which is a special stone which lets people break the laws of alchemy in order to restore their bodies to normal. But that's a hard quest, so they gotta be able to fight. Luckily, they can.

Abilities/Arsenal:

-Martial Arts Skill

-Alchemy

Bryant: Both Edward and Alphonse are skilled alchemists, and have proven so time and time again. However, while Edward mastered the use of alchemy, Alphonse relied more on his natural abilities-

Thea: As natural as being a suit of armor could be.

Bryant: -and his martial art skill. In fact, he's rarely lost to his brother, despite Edward's own impressive martial art skill.

Thea: Fullmetal Alchemist takes place in a fictional country called Amestris, which is based off of real world Germany. Considering that, Alphonse probably uses a martial art similar to German Jujutsu, which pulls from Japanese Jiu-jitsu, Karate, Judo, and other martial arts. Combining offensive strikes and defensive throws, which is what we see in the siblings sparring matches.

Bryant: Alphonse puts this martial art skill to use through the usage of his large armor body. Given what we just discussed about Amestris and Germany, it's likely that this armor is made of steel.

Thea: You can figure that out easily just by the fact that it's a suit of armor. Ya dingus.

Bryant: It could've been made of different kinds of metals!

Thea: Being a suit of armor, you can't really kill Al by stabbing him or hitting him really hard. He doesn't have anything to damage in order to kill him. Except for the blood seal inside him, which is what binds his soul to the armor. Break that, and his soul goes bye bye. But since the armor is, well, armor, you're not gonna have an easy time doing that normally. Since it's inside of the armor, not outside in the open.

Bryant: What's more, Alphonse's body can be manipulated by alchemy. As such, when he receives too much damage, he can be repaired almost easily, and his body can be changed to suit the situation better. And due to lacking any inner organs, he doesn't need oxygen or food, and doesn't feel pain, exhaustion, or the cold.

Thea: But Alphonse definitely excels when it comes to alchemy.

Bryant: As mentioned before, alchemy is bound by the rule of Equivalent Exchange. If the user wants to use alchemy to make something, they can only change something into something else if they have enough of the original material. They also can't change them to be made of different elements, meaning he can't turn lead into water.

Thea: Alphonse needs a Transmutation Circle to use alchemy, so he carries around a piece of chalk in order to make them if he needs to. And with those circles, he can break down and rearrange things at the molecular level, as long as he knows what he's breaking down.

Bryant: However, due to the fact that he and his brother tended to stick together, and making circles take time, Alphonse would usually rely on his martial art abilities. That is, until an encounter with a homunculus named Greed, and the following battle between Greed's gang and the army.

Thea: After being traumatized by having someone being impaled inside of him, Alphonse had a flashback to when he lost his body. Turns out, it wasn't vaporized into nothing, it was dragged through the Gate.

Bryant: The Gate is the source of alchemy and the entrance to God's Domain. No human was supposed to go there, but when Edward and Alphonse broke the taboo, they were dragged through the Gate. They saw incredible knowledge, but at the expense of their bodies. While Edward saw a good amount thanks to losing his leg, Alphonse saw a bit more due to losing his entire body.

Thea: But Alphonse was traumatized by that much knowledge and the experience, and it also turned out that he was trapped inside of the thing that they accidentally made! So extra trauma right there. So his memories were locked away, but when he got them back, everything changed.

Bryant: Alphonse's enhanced knowledge didn't just give him the information he needed to use alchemy to its fullest, it removed his need for an alchemy circle. Well, a regular one at least.

Thea: Basically, Al learned how to make one just by putting his hands together, using his joined hands as a circle in order to use alchemy.

Bryant: Allowing Alphonse to use his power at its fullest. He can create swords, hammers, crevices, walls, or massive spikes. Just about anything, so as long as his imagination allows it and if he has enough of the material at hand. He can turn ice into steam, bells into speakers, etc.

Thea: Al and Ed are both alchemists who can do a lot with what they have at hand, but they're at their best when they have enough materials. But luckily, Al has just the thing to let him be at his best no matter where he is. A Philosopher's Stone. Which is one messed up stone!

Philosopher's Stone:

-A powerful alchemy amplifier

-Is composed of souls

Bryant: Turns out, the Philosopher's Stone isn't some magic pebble which allows someone to break the laws of alchemy like one would've thought. In order to make a Philosopher's Stone, one must take the souls of countless people and condense them into that stone. As we mentioned before, a human soul is nearly impossible to match in Equivalent Exchange, as nothing is truly as valuable as a soul.

Thea: But since the Stone is made of souls, this means Al can use it in any way he wants to make anything he wants. Flashbangs, flexible and extendable swords, giant earth prisons, giant rock snakes, heck, if he wanted to, he can pull a Kimblee and just make explosions.

Bryant: The Crimson Alchemist Kimblee used a Philosopher Stone to inhalitate many Ishbaltan people, creating a large trench with very little chunks of large rubble.

Thea: And Al has the same Philosopher's Stone!

Achievements:

-Matched Kimblee and Pride in combat with the Philosopher's Stone

-Took on Barry the Butcher in one-on-one combat

-Can match his brother in hand-to-hand combat

-Knives break on his armor

-Blocked a massive explosion from Father

Bryant: He's capable of matching both Kimblee and Pride in combat using this very stone, which is impressive as Kimblee is still one of the most dangerous alchemists even without a stone and Pride is considered to be one of the best of the Homunculi, near immortal beings powered by Philospher's Stones.

Thea: He doesn't need a Philosopher Stone to prove himself though. His armored body is so tough, knives break on impact. And his brother only beat him a few times in hand-to-hand combat, despite the two sparring regularly. And Ed's fast enough to dodge a point blank bullet!

Bryant: The bullet fired by Dr. Marco appears to have been around four inches away from Edward's forehead. For Ed to be able to dodge this, he would've had to react within 0.0003 seconds. That puts his reaction speed over Mach 3.

Thea: Al was able to intercept bullets himself! It helps that his armor is bulletproof, and pretty darn tough. He was able to block a massive explosion from the big bad Father himself, a guy named Father, not his actual dad, and survived! Even though it almost destroyed his blood seal.

Bryant: Said explosion was able to annihilate a large chunk of a building which sat at a height of about ten floors, likely as a form of vaporization, and was around equal in size to the building itself. Though this is the limit of just what Alphonse can survive.

Weaknesses:

-Needs both hands to use alchemy without a circle

-Armor has limits and isn't unbreakable

-Philosopher's Stone only has so many souls to use

-Blood Seal is weak point

Thea: If Al takes too much damage, his armor is gonna fail, and if he loses an arm, he needs either an outside source like Ed or an alchemy circle in order to be repaired since he needs both hands to make a circle.

Bryant: And his blood seal is what keeps him anchored in this world, so if it receives too much damage, he dies.

Thea: Eh, so as long as he has that Philosopher's Stone, he doesn't need any of that, since it can do whatever it wants, right?

Bryant: Well, sort of. Alphonse may have access to many souls, allowing freedom to do what he wants, but the stone only has so many souls. As such, when it runs out, the stone will turn to dust.

Thea: Well, it's not so bad. Al is definitely not a guy to mess with. And when the cards are on the table, he's more than willing to sacrifice himself to save others, like when he gave up his soul to return Ed's arm to him.

Bryant: And Edward in turn learned the meaning of letting things go, as his inability to do so was what led to them breaking the taboo. And so, Edward sacrificed his alchemy for family, bringing Alphonse back once again, restoring his younger brother's body, whole and complete.

Thea: The Elric Brothers are legends. Watch out, cause these two brothers got each other's backs.

(Alphonse) Dedication is a talent all on its own.

-Line Break-

Bryant: Tanjiro Kamado was a simple boy. He worked as a charcoal farmer, often helping others around him with his impressive sense of smell. His father died, but Tanjiro and his family of six, four siblings and his mother, were together. And his life was peaceful.

Thea: And then his mom and younger siblings got slaughtered overnight while he was out. Whelp.

Bryant: Fortunately, one of Tanjiro's siblings managed to survive the slaughter. His younger sister, Nezuko.

Nezuko Kamado:

-Age: 14

-Height: 153 cm

-Weight: 45 kg

-Younger sister of Tanjiro Kamado

-Likes headpats

Thea: But things weren't alright. As Tanjiro was carrying Nezuko down the mountain, something in Nezuko changed, and she went berserk!

Bryant: Turns out, Nezuko and her family weren't attacked by just anyone. It was by Muzan Kibutsuji, the original demon. And during the attack, his blood was injected into Nezuko-

Thea: Ew.

Bryant: -and turned her from a regular human and into a dangerous demon. But, not entirely.

Thea: The two siblings were attacked by Giyu Tomioka, who was a Demon Slayer doing his job. When Tanjiro tried to fight him, he was knocked out by a katana hilt to the head. And boy, did Nezuko not like that.

Bryant: Nezuko immediately lashed out and rushed to her brother's side, instantly taking a stance to protect him from their attacker, which surprised Giyu, as he had seen other demons devour their families without hesitation. Realizing that Nezuko had not lost her humanity and impressed with Tanjiro's talent, Giyu spared the two, and sent them to his old master, Sakonji Urokodaki.

Thea: From there, Tanjiro would go on to join the Demon Slayer Corps, and worked to find a way to turn his sister back into a regular human. They would travel the world, killing demons and finding crazy friends while having each other's backs. And trust me, you don't want to mess with Nezuko or her brother.

Abilities/Arsenal:

-Foot

-Superhuman abilities

-Regeneration

-Size-Shifting

Bryant: As a demon, Nezuko is superior to regular humans in many ways. She possesses superhuman strength, speed, durability, and stamina.

Thea: That stamina has gotta come from how long she sleeps. Seriously, turn into a demon and you sleep for literal years!

Bryant: Actually, Nezuko's long naps are quite important. Most demons often need to eat humans in order to restore their power. But Nezuko instead sleeps for long periods of time in order to restore her power, allowing her to stay at her best without eating humans. This also allowed Urokodaki to perform a special hypnosis that causes her to view humans as her own family, ensuring that she would fight to protect them instead of attack them, though it's less of if they're actually human and more if she views them as human.

Thea: And boy, does she have power. Demons are all stronger than humans by a lot, but Nezuko can match most demons she comes across easily, even if they're way older.

Bryant: Nezuko mostly utilizes her impressive strength and channels it through her feet and legs. Her main fighting-style relies on powerful kicks, allowing her to kick demons heads off easily.

Thea: Strength and speed is good and all, but what really makes demons like Nezuko hard to kill is their crazy healing factor.

Bryant: Demons can only be killed in specific ways. When a Demon Slayer kills them, they use a special sword called a Nichirin Sword, one that's made of a special ore that was imbued with the sun's light, as sun is a demon's weakness. And in order to kill a demon with a Nichirin Sword, they have to do so by cutting off their heads.

Thea: Without a Nichirin Sword, there's only so much you can do against a demon at night. Nezuko was stabbed multiple times, had her foot blown off, and even was dismembered, and was in fighting condition before the fight even ended. Similar demons were even able to regenerate after having their entire heads blown off.

Bryant: And as the fight goes on and Nezuko continues to heal, she adapts, like how she was able to match Susamaru's strength and even overwhelm her despite the fact that Susamaru was able to blow off Nezuko's foot when they first clashed in that very same fight.

Thea: Nezuko also has two more things up her sleeves. The first is her ability to shape-shift by changing her size. She can grow into an adult version of herself for extra strength, speed, and size, or shrink down into an adorable chibi to dodge attacks, fit in small places, or just be freakin' adorable in every way.

Bryant: Her last ace in the hole is her Blood Demon Art.

Blood Demon Art:

-Exploding Blood

=Allows the user to ignite their blood into flames

=Can wake someone up from a hypnosis

=Sounds like she's saying Buckets

Bryant: Each higher-level demon has a unique ability or weapon that sets them apart from their kin which comes in the form of their Blood Demon Art. While most develop such techniques after devouring enough humans, Nezuko was able to obtain her own Blood Demon Art using her sleeping method instead.

Thea: And when her mom told her the magic words to help save Tanjiro fighting against emo wanna-be Spider-Man. That's when Nezuko unlocked her Blood Demon Art: Buckets!

Bryant: Close, it's actually Bakketsu, or Exploding Blood. A technique used by Nezuko in order to ignite her blood, causing it to explode into bright pink flames. It was this technique that she used to help her brother defeat Rui, one of the Twelve Kizukis.

Thea: Basically the big boy demons for big boy Demon Slayers. She did this by incinerating spider threads that were harder than steel, and by using her Blood Demon Art to propel her brother's sword with enough force to cut through Rui's neck, which was even tougher!

Achievements:

-Intercepted Rui's threads

-Dodged the swings of Kanao, who can outpace Tanjiro

-Overpowered Susamaru

-Kicked a demon's head off like a football

-Overpowered her demonic urges

Bryant: She was even able to intercept Rui's threads, which even Tanjiro struggled to do. Impressive, considering that Tanjiro should be comparable to his friend Zenitsu. Zenitsu was able to move between trees and into the air in order to behead a demon before it could even realize. Assuming the space he covered was around 30 meters, and taking into account the fact that he moved before the demon even realized what happened, this feat had been calculated to be around Mach 11 speeds. The fastest known jet in the world was the-

Thea: Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird. An advanced, long-range, strategic aircraft capable of Mach 3 at an altitude of 85 thousand feet! Sorry, I've been rewatching Hellsing Abridged.

Bryant: But you're correct. And Zenitsu is almost four times faster.

Thea: Nezuko was also regularly shown to be stronger than Tanjiro, who was able to cut an entire boulder in half.

Bryant: The size of the boulder seems to be a little over 2 meters. Considering this, people have calculated this feat to be just under 344 million joules of energy.

Thea: And Nezuko is, again, stronger than her brother! Too bad there are a bunch of people who are stronger.

Weaknesses:

-Regeneration is limited

-Expanding too much energy causes her to sleep

-Sunlight

-Wisteria Flowers

-Decapitation via Nichirin Blades

Thea: She might have been able to block Rui's threads, but it really messed her up. Her regeneration was just barely able to keep her together with the help of her bro. And if she has to regenerate from too much damage, she falls asleep. In fact, if she uses her demon powers too much, she'll fall asleep. Which isn't really that good, since she can sleep for weeks, if not months as a result.

Bryant: And her regeneration doesn't nullify pain, so she feels everything.

Thea: It also doesn't help that there are three things that can kill her almost easily.

Bryant: Sunlight-

Thea: Which turns her to dust like a vampire.

Bryant: Decapitation-

Thea: By a Nichirin Sword, which we talked about already.

Bryant: And Wisteria Flowers.

Thea: Ooh, I actually have a Wisteria plant at my cave. It really makes the place look a little better.

Bryant: Wisterias are real-life flowers that are mildly poisonous, mostly towards dogs and cats. However, to a demon…

Thea: Waaaay more dangerous. If injected with a high enough dose, a demon dissolves, and even with a lower dose, they become paralyzed, and their regeneration is negated. We see what happens to demons when injected with Wisteria Poison through Shinobu Kochou, who is one of the best Demon Slayers around.

Bryant: Unfortunate that she has these many weaknesses, as she is still a demon, and was thus hunted by the Demon Slayer Corps. She and her brother almost faced severe punishment, but were fortunately saved by the Demon Slayer Corps' leader, Kagaya Ubuyashiki, who gave them a second chance to prove their trustworthiness.

Thea: Nezuko may be a demon, but she still has her humanity. And her brother isn't going to stop hunting the Twelve Kuzuki and Muzan until he manages to find the cure needed to turn her back into a human. Until then, these two will always have each other's back. No matter what, demon or slayer, decides to take them on.

(Nezuko) Blood Demon Art: Exploding Blood!

-Line Break-

Bryant: Alright, the stage is set, time to start this dance.

Thea: Battle ready, set, GO!

-Line Break-

A loud clunking could be heard as a suit of armor made its way through a forest. Alphonse strolled through the trees, humming to himself. A loud bang caught his attention and cut his humming off.

"What was that?" he wondered before rushing off.

In an opening of the forest, Nezuko darted around, dodging the attacks of a demon before rushing forwards. Alphonse popped out of the bushes, just in time to see Nezuko kick the demon's head off, sending it flying into the horizon.

"W-what?!" Alphonse exclaimed. The darkness of the night made it seem like Nezuko had kicked off the head of a random human. Nezuko perked up and looked around before spotting Alphonse. The Alchemist looked back at her before jumping out of the bush and taking his stance. Nezuko's eyes narrowed before veins popped on her forehead as she recognized the hostility.

'She kicked that person's head like a football! She can't be human with that much strength. She must be a homunculi. But which Sin? No, that doesn't matter. I gotta take care of her either way.' Alphonse thought to himself. Nezuko growled before charging forwards and lunging for Alphonse as she hurled herself through the air.

Blood Bonds will break!

Fight!

Alphonse intercepted a kick with a punch, creating a small shockwave. Nezuko pulled back her foot and kicked rapidly as Alphonse threw a fast barrage of punches, their attack rushes intercepting each other's before Nezuko kicked Alphonse away with a swing of her foot. She landed before shooting after Alphonse like a blur as the ground exploded from the force of her feet. Alphonse grunted as he put up a guard, only to be forced backwards with another kick. He looked at his arm as Nezuko jumped away, grimacing mentally at the sight of the large dent.

'She's so strong!' he thought. He put his hands together before placing one on his damaged arm. The arm crackled with energy before reforming back into its undamaged self. Nezuko perked up at the sight of this before Alphonse put his hands together again and slammed them against the ground. The dirt shook under him before exploding forwards as a pillar of earth. Nezuko's eyes widened before she jumped over the pillar, landing and running above it.

Alphonse used alchemy on his armor to harden it before blocking another kick from Nezuko. The demon growled before kicking off Alphonse to flip backwards before charging forwards again. Alphonse took his stance and blocked several fast kicks before spinning and elbowing Nezuko and kicking her away. The demon rebounded and tried another kick, only for Alphonse to counter with a jab and throw her away. Nezuko landed before jumping over another earth slab shooting up under her. She dashed around as more earth slabs popped up from under her before kicking Alphonse away. The suit of armor grunted as he skidded back before catching a kick and throwing the demon down. Alphonse tried to stomp on Nezuko, only for the demon to spin her legs and knock him away before flipping to her feet.

Alphonse slammed his hands together and placed it on a rock slab behind it. It transformed and condensed into a staff that he spun around before taking a stance. Nezuko in turn jumped up and behind another rock slab before kicking it in half. She spun and kicked the top half, sending it flying towards Alphonse. The alchemist yelled as he slammed the end of the staff against the boulder, halting it in its tracks and dropping it to the ground, only for Nezuko to appear and kick Alphonse in the ground.

The suit of armor grunted as he rolled away and brought the staff up to block another, causing it to break in two. Undeterred, Alphonse swung the two halves around, battering Nezuko as she tried to block with her arms. Alphonse swung the two halves upwards and knocked her arms up before kicking her away. Nezuko spun and kicked Alphonse away before jumping back quickly. She looked around to see small bits of rubble before kicking one with great force. Alphonse landed and slammed his hands onto the ground, creating a small wall that blocked the rubble, creating small dust clouds. He pressed his hands together again and placed them on the ground. Nezuko yelled behind her bamboo gag as she was launched into the air and fell down to be rammed into Alphonse.

The demon managed to get to her feet as her opponent rushed up to her. The two quickly traded a barrage of fast attacks before knocking each other away. Alphonse slapped his hands against the ground before jumping towards Nezuko with a large club. She grunted as she jumped around the swings before tripping as her foot stepped into a crack. The club hit Nezuko's stomach, sending her backwards with a pained grunt and a nasty crack. Alphonse changed the club to become another staff before using it to smack Nezuko around several times before he punched her away. Nezuko groaned but got up, her body cracking slightly as she healed. Alphonse grimaced internally at the sight of her blood beginning to stain her clothes.

"Please stop and surrender quietly." he said.

Nezuko growled and hurtled forwards, sending up dust again. Alphonse took his stance, but Nezuko suddenly slammed her foot into the ground and flung it forwards. Dust filled the air, blinding Alphonse as he grunted in surprise. Nezuko appeared behind him and knocked him off his feet with a kick before kicking him away. Alphonse grunted as he was sent tumbling across the ground, his head falling off. Nezuko made a sound of surprise when she saw the empty armor. She peaked inside before looking at the helmet. She tapped the head as she looked it over curiously. A sudden movement behind her alerts her, causing her to shoot to her feet and whirl around before a metal fist slammed against her.

"Sorry!" Alphonse said before placing his hands on the ground, causing rock spikes to burst out. They glanced off Nezuko's leg as she jumped back, causing her to bleed and wince. She landed back and blocked another punch. Alphonse, head back on his body, knocked Nezuko around before kicking her back.

"Can we try this again?" he asked as he approached cautiously. Nezuko growled, veins popping on her forehead before she dashed forwards. Alphonse took his stance again as Nezuko lashed out with a powerful kick, knocking him back and kicking up dust. Nezuko leapt up and swung her foot down in an axe kick, forcing Alphonse to dodge. He landed near the edge of the forest as Nezuko ripped up a slab from the ground and punted it towards him. He quickly transmuted the tree behind him, causing it to shrink under him and popping up in front, blocking the slab. He transformed the tree into a pair of wooden swords and charged towards the demon.

Nezuko quickly dodged the swings and kicked Alphonse back, though he quickly kept up the assault. The two quickly traded a fast barrage of attacks, feet and wooden-blades intercepting and knocking each other back. Nezuko growled before suddenly changing size and becoming bigger. Alphonse was caught off guard before Nezuko kicked his stomach with her longer leg and knocked the top part of his armor off. Alphonse landed with a loud clang and quickly created more rocky pillars that hurtled towards Nezuko. She groaned as she felt one of the pillars break her leg when it hit as she jumped away, causing blood to spill.

Her leg quickly regenerated, and she started kicking the pillars apart as they approached as Alphonse managed to reconnect his body with alchemy. Nezuko looked up to see more pillars shooting towards her and shrunk down into the size of a child, causing the pillars to miss her. She scurried through the pillars and reached Alphonse, who started in surprise. She grew back to her regular size and tried to kick her opponent again, only for Alphonse to block the hit and punch her back.

'She's not stopping! The longer I fight, the more likely she'll hit my seal. I have to end this!' he thought. Something glinted as he tossed it up and caught it. Nezuko saw this and charged forwards.

"Try to stop this!" Alphonse said. Red lighting burst from his hand, and a giant rock cat burst out of thin air and swatted Nezuko away. The cat ran around and tried to slam her down, only for her to flip out of the way. She kicked out a chunk from the leg, only for it to regenerate with crackling of red lightning

"Mm mrfph."

(So this is what Nii-chan feels.) she said. The cat's mouth opened and the end of a cannon popped out before shooting a cannonball towards Nezuko. She reared her foot back and kicked the cannonball back. Alphonse jumped off the cat as it was blasted apart. Red lightning burst from his hand again as ice formed under him, creating a slip and slide. He swung his fist forwards, red lightning arcing in front of him and creating half a dozen spearheads that shot towards Nezuko. She spun around and kicked them back, only for them to be deflected with a wall.

"Rah!" Alphonse said as he punched the wall, causing it to burst into flames and soar towards Nezuko. She flipped and kicked the flames apart before charging forwards. She grunted as she was blasted with a sudden burst of wind, knocking her back. Nezuko yelled as she slammed her foot down, but yelled again as a stray spearhead stabbed into her shoulder.

"Give up!" Alphonse yelled. Nezuko grabbed the spearhead and ripped it out, sending blood forwards and throwing the blade forwards. Alphonse caught it with a hand, but paused as Nezuko reached forwards.

'Blood Demon Art!' she thought.

"What in the world?!" Alphonse exclaimed as he saw light. Nezuko's blood, which had been spilled over the field during the battle, was beginning to glow pink, even on the spearhead he was holding.

'Exploding Blood!' Nezuko clenched her hand shut. The blood exploded into bright pink flames, enveloping the field as the fire became a large pillar that swallowed the area before dispersing. Smoke rose from the burned and scorched grass, as the two opponents laid out on the ground. One of them groaned as they stood up slowly, looking at their unconscious opponent.

"That… that wasn't any sort of alchemy I've seen. Blood exploding? Maybe Mr Roy can tell me. But for now, I have, to… Huh?" Alphonse said as he walked closer. Nezuko was laid down on her back, sleeping peacefully.

"She's asleep? Did she get knocked out by her own attack? Well, either way, I have to restrain her." Alphonse held out the Philosopher's Stone, allowing the red energy to surround Nezuko before becoming a steel dome over her.

"There. That should hold her for now. I hope." he said.

KO!

Thea: Between Nezuko's practically invincible healing factor and inability to die to regular means and Alphonse's crazy alchemic versatility, this was a tricky fight. Even when you factor in their stats.

Bryant: That's right. Even when you ignore their abilities and focus on their numbers, it can make things harder to decide.

Thea: Alphonse definitely had the edge in raw power and durability. Him surviving that building being vaporized puts his durability in around 30 kilotons of TNT, and he's even more powerful with the Philosopher's Stone. But Nezuko was almost four times faster through scaling to Zenitsu, probably even more since she can dodge attacks from Kanao, who was physically superior in every way to both him and Tanjiro at the time.

Bryant: Which is important, as this would make it difficult for Alphonse to land a good hit on her, and she would be able to attack the Blood Seal which would've ended the fight for good. And since Alphonse regularly loses his head to weaker opponents and impacts, a target Nezuko has a habit of targeting, she would certainly have access to it.

Thea: But when this kind of situation arises, we gotta ask the different questions. And that's when we start seeing the solution.

Bryant: We began to analyze their advantages and disadvantages in both these characters and their situation, and found our answers. Nezuko could've theoretically attacked the Blood Seal in order to end the fight, but she would've had to know about it and why it would be important first. And that's assuming she would actually attack the weak point.

Thea: She's not a character who tries to prove herself as a fighter, but she's not the smartest in the world. Like in her fight with Susamaru. Instead of trying to find a different method of beating her opponent, she chose to repeat something she already did. Sure, it worked, but she didn't know it would've. And she always relied on her brother's instructions in a fight and even in some simple situations.

Bryant: Alphonse, on the other hand, is a fully trained alchemist. And while he did rely on his brother quite a bit, he's more than capable of thinking for himself, and has shown to be extremely versatile with his alchemy, like in his fight against Pride and Kimblee.

Thea: And since Alphonse's body can repair itself and doesn't need sleep or food, he can fight for much longer without getting tired. And since Nezuko needs to sleep to recover her abilities after too long, she'll definitely reach her limit. Even if she can keep up with Alphonse for a long time, she risks daylight, her major weakness.

Bryant: Not that that risk would matter too much anyways. Even with Nezuko's large amount of speed, Alphonse's greater power combined with his greater experience and training would've allowed him to tag the demon with a blow powerful enough to overtax her healing factor.

Thea: Nezuko definitely kept Alphonse on his toes with her better speed and crazy healing factor, but he just had the power, skill, experience, and versatility to keep up. His advantages ar-more than Nezuko's. Which means the winner of this WI Battle is Alphonse Elric!

This is definitely a matchup I wondered about for a while. Demon Slayer characters are definitely faster than Fullmetal Alchemist characters, and Nezuko definitely isn't easy to kill. I thought for sure that it was going to be a classic spear vs shield scenario, but then I started thinking about the reasons I did above. And hopefully I did a good job with the fight. Reading my recent chapters has made me realize that my fight scenes are rather flawed. Anyways, as per the usual, leave a review! Azure out!
