. . . . .

"Welcome back." Seto's voice took Joey off guard. It was far more confident than he last remembered it being. Similar to his dueling voice and actions, but Seto wasn't dueling.

Joey slid into the vehicle next to Mokuba. Mokuba was already pulling out some bandages and gauze for his neck. "Thanks. Been a long trip."

Joey dropped the black bag he nearly got his head sliced off over onto the space between him and Mokuba. He let Mokuba work on bandaging up his neck. Meanwhile Seto started to drive off. He let himself breathe. He rested his head on the back of the driver's seat so Mokuba could work.

"Where are we going?" Joey asked once his brain stopped racing.

"We're leaving Domino." Seto calmly replied as he gripped the steering wheel. A pop song played a bit too loudly from the car's stereo system.

"I uh, just got back. Not too interested in leaving again, if you get my drift."

"I do. Please bear with this decision for a little longer."

Joey felt like asking what was in the bag was a terrible idea. He kept his mouth shut. He really wanted to see Yugi and check in on him. "Okay."

The streets Joey just walked down past him again in a slow stream as Seto drove. It reminded him of his drifting thoughts. Mokuba finished wrapping up and treating his wound in the meantime. "All done."

"Thanks kiddo." Joey sat up and stretched his neck. He saw something unusual in the rear view mirror. He turned around. The man that attacked Joey stood in the middle of the street, doing stretches. Joey didn't know how the man managed to follow them like that, but he laughed anyway. Especially when the man started running. It was a nervous laugh of exasperation. "Do ya think dat guy can catch us on foot, 'cause he's uh…"

Mokuba turned around and looked out the window. "Uh…Seto…"

The man's run was consistent, like how the gym teacher made students run around the track for exercise.

"I know." Seto replied.

Joey turned back around and slumped in the seat. The car engine slowly revved up in power and loudness as Seto increased the speed. Joey sighed heavily, "This month sucks ass." Against his better judgment, he sat up straighter, and looked in the rear view mirror again. Then he looked over Seto's chair at the speedometer. The vehicle's speed steadily increased. Joey's head snapped back around as he looked out the rear window. "What the hell!?"

The man had to weave in and out between cars unlike Seto, but he was actually increasing in size. Like an object would when it slowly came closer and closer to you.

"Move your head please, Joey." Seto asked. "I can't see."

Joey moved, and gripped the back of the chair he was sitting in. "H-human's can't do that!" The man was so close that Joey could see him grinning. Both Joey and Mokuba's jaws dropped. The man switched to weaving in between the cars to jumping on top of them. He had to move so fast to keep up that he stepped lightly on the roof. No damage was done to any vehicle he stepped on.

"Seto…I think that's Zorc." Mokuba's voice trembled.

"Just a cheap imitation, Mokie." Seto's calm voice was starting to freak Joey out. "Please take the wheel Joey."

Joey turned around to see Seto calmly move to the front passenger seat. He did it so quickly that only afterward did Joey realize that they didn't immediately crash because no one was steering the car. Joey quickly climbed up to the front driver's seat. The steering wheel moved on its own, giving Joey pause. Eventually he grabbed the wheel and breathed a sigh when he didn't immediately send them into a building. "Is now a bad time to say I don't got a car license?"

Seto turned around in his seat, motioning to Mokuba. "I'm helping you steer."

Joey didn't dare to take his hands off the wheel, despite knowing that comfort.

"Big Bertha or Hellspawn?" Mokuba asked.

"Big Bertha, please." Seto replied.

Mokuba handed Seto a long, cylindrical black duffel-like bag. Seto laid out a few large bits of metal cylinders on his lap. As he was putting together the item, he had to open the window just to give himself more room. Joey decided to focus more on steering. No matter how fast they went, the cars seemed to move out of the way, or were they driving through them? Joey couldn't tell, but he was glad they hadn't crashed into any of them. Especially since they were flying through red lights without a care.

Joey saw a moderately sized blast of reddish purple energy fly back towards the man through the rear view window. "Why da ya have a missile launcher!?"

The blast hit the man head-on. The car he was on didn't seem to take any damage, but the blast had knocked him to the ground.

"A missile launcher?" Seto kept his gaze on the contained chaos behind him. "Oh, I see. It looks a bit like a missile launcher I suppose. It isn't one. It's a modified device created by Thief King Bakura. This shoots mana."

"The guy that tried to take over Mokuba?" Joey wracked his brain to remember who Seto was talking about.

"Yes." Seto replied.

"Okay then." Joey decided not to question any further. The buildings in view slowly switched from apartments to warehouses, docks, and the occasional beach house. Something thumped loudly on the car.

Seto snarled. "Please get the hell off Noah's car!" Seto reached out the window and motioned as though he were pulling something. The man Mokuba called Zorc flew off the roof and tumbled across the asphalt.

Joey looked at the speedometer. He sucked in a breath. They were doing 80mph (129kph). In order for Zorc to jump on the car and successfully land on the roof, he needed to be running faster than that. "He's running 90 plus (145+ kph)…" Joey whispered, "...on foot."

"Crazy huh?" Mokuba handed Seto the other bag. Seto handed Mokuba the modified launcher. A few minutes later a large blast of black shadowy flame shot out of Seto's passenger window.

Joey focused on driving. He wasn't sure what shifted, but Seto's attacks were now damaging the area around him. Zorc wasn't above picking up a nearby vehicle and throwing it at them either. Joey forced himself to not think about how strong he had to be to do that.

"Is what's in my bag worth us taking a dip in the ocean?" Joey asked. "'Cause we running outta road."

"No. Please turn around." Seto commanded.

"I'm doing 100 (160kph). We'll flip." Joey's hands clenched the wheel. He saw the wood of Domino's piers far in the distance. The surrounding ocean was a deep clear beautiful blue.

"Up front, Mokie. Bring Joey's bag with you." Seto asked. Mokuba climbed up front, and sat in Seto's lap, holding the heavy black bag. He was a bit too tall to fit, but made it work. Zorc seemed to stop chasing them. Joey was certain the man realized the predicament they were in.

"Please turn around." Seto asked again.

Joey looked at Seto from the corner of his eye. He caught a glimpse of shining gold. Familiar gold. He turned his head and looked at the eye on Seto's forehead. Hidden behind coke bottle thick glasses, Seto's eyes shone like the water their car was flying past.

A sense of calm filled Joey from head to toe. It felt like it reached the very depths of his soul. He gripped the steering wheel. And turned. The car made a wide arc like it was trying to do a U-Turn, but they were going far too fast. The car flipped against the cement ground making up Domino's pier. Joey felt himself toss and tumble, though he stayed in place. He didn't think that he shouldn't have because he wasn't wearing his seatbelt. The airbags never deployed either. Someone or something kept touching him. He raised his right arm, feeling blindly for it. The view shifted and rotated in a nauseating fashion as the car tumbled and flipped. Yet he couldn't close his eyes. He smelt smoke and gas. Something grabbed his wrist. He let it.

"I'm coming Yug'." He whispered. A familiar chill filled his being. Swirling purple clouds of sparkling yellow filled his vision. The car's interior and Domino's pier disappeared from view. He closed his eyes.
