Tails walks out. She is a completely different person, at least that's what she thinks. To others she looks the same just with clothes on. But to her the mental and physical change is astounding. Maybe she is just happy she can love herself. Maybe she is finally alive in the flesh without having to worry about herself.
She will finally tell everyone. She will finally be officially a she. Nobody can stop her now, not even her old self. He can't push back. He probably doesn't want to though. He is probably happy for her. As she finally made her the real her, not him, who was fake. She is finally free. She is confident in Herself. She is Tails. Nobody can take that away from her. She can finally tell everyone. Tell everyone. Finally.
She looks in the mirror and sees a different person. One she can finally live with. She can finally tell and live. She can look in the mirror and smile. She can continue her life. Live with herself, not against herself. She is she. She is tails. She is Finally, Finally, herself.
She looks at the sky and smiles. Today is a beautiful day. Today is the day she gets to tell everyone. Today is the day when she officially becomes herself, not someone else who she's been pretending to be. Just herself. Her true self. Her only self. She loves herself. She just hopes others can love her.
Finally she leaves her room and goes downstairs. Leaving her newly decorated room to all its glory. She loves it now as much as she loves herself. It just screams 'her'. She's happy. When she finally gets downstairs. She looks at Sonic who smiles at her.
"Hey Tails! Ready for your big day?"
"You bet!"
They finish getting ready, and they leave their house. They are happy. They go down to Amy's house. Amy's hosting a coming out party for Tails. Obviously nobody knows that except her, Sonic, Tails and everyone Tails told. But still it's the thought that counts, especially since it will help Tails. A gracious gift that Amy has given to Tails, for the small price of Tails actually coming out.
Tails, of course, gets slight cold feet. But she powers through it. Finally ready to tell everyone and I mean everyone. Finally. Living her dream: being herself. A momentous occasion for her. Living life and just existing but comfortable in her own skin.
They are in a back room. Tails is getting ready, while Sonic and Amy wait. Tails isn't completely used to everything yet, so she still needs just a bit of assistance. Clothes are hard when you haven't worn them in the first few years of your life.
"So Tails, you ready?"
"In a moment."
"Alright"
"So, Sonic… like the party so far?"
"Yup, I don't know how you pulled it off!"
"Well you are talking to the master party planner!"
"Oh right. Of course, how could I forget?" Sonic sarcastically says
Amy playfully punches his arm for the sarcastically snide comment
"Okay guys, I'm ready!"
Finally, the big moment comes, because of the Main event. The actual event for this party. The reason everyone showed up. Tails walks out and into the crowd who patiently waits for her. All eyes on her and her clothes.
She finally gains the courage to say something after a while.
"I'm a girl."
Moment of silence as everyone takes it in.
Followed by thunderous applause ravages the house. As everyone cheers for Tails. It's nice. But it doesn't last for long as everyone goes back to the party. But still giving Congratulations towards Tails for her coming out. Tails feels good. Finally she can be herself to everyone. She is Tails. She is a she. Nobody can ever take that away from here. Time finally moves. Something finally changes.
