Hi,

Here is the second chapter is shorter. Maybe I'll post chapters longer but for now I don't feel. I hope other people will like it. But some dislike, I will survive. 😂 Bye for now.

*Guest, thank you for reviewing. I'm glad you liked the first chapter.

During the lunch break, the three close friends have lunch by the fountain outside one of the high school buildings. As they each eat their sandwiches, Kelly begins to tell Brenda what kind of girl Nicholle Stanner is.

"Before I dated Steve, he dated her briefly. Everything was going well between them and she started harassing him on the phone. They used to call each other sometimes in the evenings to talk about anything and everything, but apparently that wasn't enough for her. Steve's mother even threatened his parents with a lawsuit."

"What happened?" asks Brenda in a concerned tone.

"She stopped harassing him on the phone."

"Then she followed Kelly." adds Donna being aware of the story.

"Donna!" reacts the pretty California girl with a slight reproachful tone.

"She has to know that to know who she's dealing with."

"Tell me about it." then asks Brenda to Kelly calmly.

"All right. Steve and I had been dating for three weeks and one day on my way home I noticed a car stopped in the middle of the street. I stared at it for a few seconds and the car suddenly started up again. The next day I told Steve about it, trying to describe the model of the car and he told me it was Nicholle's. Three days later as I was driving home, this time she had parked and watched me very briefly. Just talking about it gives me the chills."

"Did you tell Steve?" asks Brenda, this time with a worried look on her face.

"No, but I did tell Mother, who then told Steve's mother. It was completely crazy. "

"And then what? "

"I don't know if Steve's mother took any action but she didn't follow up with me anymore."

Brenda then shows a pensive expression on her face.

"If I were you, I'd back off from her. Believe me, that girl is crazy. And from what I've heard, she's already had trouble with the police."

"What kind?"

"'Stalking.'" replies Kelly in a serious tone.

Brenda looks at her two friends, feeling both bewildered and story has ruined her appetite. Meanwhile, Brandon and Andrea finish discussing an idea for the next article to be published in the school newspaper.

"We could talk about music," Brandon suggests.

"What kind of music?" asks her friend, who doesn't seem to be thrilled with the idea.

"Rock?"

"Rock?!" she exclaims, surprised.

"Why not? It would be a nice change and relax the mind. Less headache".

"You think our articles are that boring?" she says, a little offended.

"But no, Andrea. They are very good. But sometimes it's good to try something new."

She stares for two seconds, answering him that she'll think about it without Brandon insisting. Before the lunch break ends, a few minutes later, David is playing the new song from a grunge metal band called; The Wind in the Bones on the high school radio.

"This new band will be performing next Saturday." he announces on the mic, giving more information about the show. And if you can't get tickets, KB101 radio is currently offering to win concert tickets to go see The Wind in the Bones. You can already start calling to try your luck."

When Nicholle hears this, she rushes out of the school and runs to the phone booth not far from the minutes later, she screams with joy before hanging up. The lucky winner is overjoyed. She will have to pick up the two tickets she won at the radio station which is forty minutes away from the school and before 6:00 pm. When classes end at 3:00 p.m., Brenda meets Dylan in the high school hallway, hugs him, and informs him that she must go to the library where she is to meet Nicholle.

"Good luck!" he says to her in a pessimistic tone.

"Why do you say that?" she asks him, her face quizzical and curious about what her boyfriend is going to tell her too.

"She's not the type to study to be a model student. What she's most into is being a rock band's groupie."

He then kisses her on the forehead and Brenda goes to the library where for two hours she waits for Nicholle who does not come. Disappointment, frustration and anger can be seen on her face. Kelly and Dylan were right.

"I'm so stupid." she thinks quietly.

She wanted to give him a chance and get to know Nicholle better, but she didn't. Brenda then packs her school books and notebooks into her backpack and leaves.
