Arlight, I'm back with another chapter of The Life of a Hybrid.
To clarify a few things Ian will be forming a bond with characters like Melon, Jack, Louis, Dan, and the drama club, especially with Tao and Tem. For reasons I will not explain just yet, but Ian will not have a very friendly friendship with Bill and Legoshi, but will come to like them eventually. Also Ian's dark past with his parents will not be the only thing bad happening to him, so expect more darkness of Ian's past to come.
In this chapter Ian will meet Tao, Tem, Jack and Legoshi. Ian will also receive a phone call from someone important and he will also earn a name for himself in Cherryton Academy when he saves two herbivores from carnivore bullies.
Now on with the story.
Ian was making his way through the halls of Cherryton Academy, ignoring the looks that the other students were giving him. It could have been worse except Louis and Dan were with him. The other students were amazed that two of Cherryton's prize and most well respected students were talking to a hybrid, but some of the male and female students thought that the hybrid had a sexy look to him with his lean body and the way the clothes on his body fit perfectly with the curves of his body. Louis and Dan were giving Ian a tour of the school, Ian paying attention to all of the whispers that were thrown his way.
"Ian, you okay?" Asked Dan.
Ian tilted his head to the side with a look in his eyes with a scoff. The hybrid then looked at the students in the halls with a cold look.
"Did none of your parents teach you it's not nice to stare at someone and whisper cruel things about them" said Ian.
The herbivores shrunk back in fear while some of the carnivores looked away in shame. Louis and Dan stood still watching how this would play out. Both Dan and Louis agreed that this will end with someone getting punched in the mouth.
"Besides, if you have something to say to me you can grow a pair, look me dead in the eye and say it to my face" said Ian.
Dan and Louis both dropped their jaws to the floor when the words left Ian's mouth. They looked at each other with shocked expressions before looking back at Ian thinking this won't be so bad after all.
"Now, everyone one of you can get to where you need to be and stop sticking your noses where it doesn't belong" said Ian, causing some of the students to scurry away.
Ian started to walk away back towards Dan and Louis, both of them looking at Ian with nothing but shocked expressions on their faces. Ian walked past Dan and Louis and as he did he cracked a sly creepy smile on his face.
"I'm going to enjoy this" said Ian, as he continued down the hall with Louis and Dan following closely behind him.
Louis, Dan, and Ian were continuing down the hall when they came across a black panther and alpaca walking in the opposite direction, talking to each other. Louis and Dan saw them and decided to introduce them to Ian.
"Tao, Tem, I want you two to meet someone" said Louis, as he stopped the black panther and alpaca.
The black panther and alpaca stopped walking and turned their attention to the two red deers with someone standing behind them.
"Tao, Tem, this is Ian, he'll be joining the drama club with us" said Dan.
"Tao is the black panther, and Tem is the alpaca.
"Hello" said Ian, as he held out a hand for Tao and Tem to shake.
Tao and Tem shook Ian's hand and they both noticed the white and silver scales on his body, but also noticed the black fur.
"You're a hybrid?" Asked Tem.
"Yeah, my mother was a black panther and my father was a komodo dragon" said Ian.
"That is so cool" said Tem, as he looked at the hybrid.
Ian removed his jacket so that he was in dark gray jeans and a dark gray tank top, allowing Tao and Tem to see the beautiful white and silver scales on his arms.
"I thought it was illegal for a komodo dragon to marry someone like a black panther. I'm not trying to be rude, but it seems that a lot of strings were pulled to get you here" said Tao.
"Well, you're right about all of it. It is illegal for a poisonous animal like a komodo dragon to marry a non-poisonous animal like a black panther, however both my mother and father were born and raised here in Japan, but my mother and father got married overseas in the United Kingdom and I ended up being born in North America. However, even though my father, mother, and I all have legal documents for the United Kingdom and North America, we don't have legal documents here, but apparently my parents have very powerful friends in United Kingdom, North America, and Japan and together they were able to acquire all the legal documents that they needed" Ian explained.
Tao, Tem, Louis, and Dan all looked confused at the explanation that Ian just gave them.
"I know it's complicated as hell" said Ian.
"Well I think hybrids are pretty cool, and I like your scales" said Tem.
"I agree, it's nice to see you Ian" said Tao.
"I'll see you boys later" said Ian, as he, Louis, and Dan continue on walking down the hall with Tao and Tem going back to their business.
As Ian, Dan and Louis were walking down the hall they came across Melon talking to a golden labrador and a tall gray wolf.
"Hey Melon" said Ian, as he came up to his friend.
"Hey Ian" said Melon, as he greeted his friend.
"So, you must be the other hybrid that Melon was talking about?" Asked Jack, looking at the black panther-komodo dragon hybrid.
"Yep, my name's Ian" said Ian, as he introduced himself to the golden labrador and the gray wolf.
"That is so cool, but quick question, do you have any venom?" Asked Jack.
"Yes, but it's not as lethal as a full blooded komodo dragon's venom. I could still kill you with my venom, but it will take a large amount to do so" said Ian.
"That's so cool" said Jack.
"You're not scared of yourself, nor have any fear that you could kill someone you care about, I mean you do realize that you're highly dangerous with your venom. Even if you don't mean to do it you could accidentally hurt or kill someone, so you should be more careful when around people and be a little more cautious around yourself" said the gray wolf.
For a moment Ian had forgotten that there was a gray wolf right next to them. Ian was curious as to why this wolf suddenly seemed concerned for the safety of others, but most importantly the safety of himself.
"My apologies, I didn't introduce myself to you sooner, the name's Ian" said Ian, as he extended his hand towards the gray wolf.
The wolf remained quite nor did he reach out to shake Ian's hand. Ian looked at the wolf with narrow eyes as if he was trying to figure out what the wolf's deal was. Ian lowered his hand and cracked his signature sadistic-looking smile.
"A shy wolf, that's rare for me to see. All the wolves that I meet are very friendly and carefree, however there are some wolves that I meet that are a complete jackass and rude as hell" said Ian, as he narrowed his eyes at the last part.
"This is Legoshi, he's a quiet one and can be quite strange at times, he's also a part of the drama club with us" said Dan.
"Well then Legoshi I'll be seeing you at drama club, nice meeting you Jack" said Ian, as he walked away with Louis and Dan following him.
Legoshi gave Ian a cold glare as he walked away, however unknown to Legoshi, Ian noticed the look that Legoshi was giving him and another sadistic smile appeared on his face.
"Alright Legoshi, let's see who can keep their hybrid nature under control the longest" Ian thought, as he kept on walking down the hall with Louis and Dan following closely behind him.
After Louis and Dan had finished showing Ian around the school and showing him the building where the drama club was going to be held in, Ian was in his dorm room that he was sharing with Tao, Melon, and a bengal tiger named Bill, whoever he was. Ian was lying on his bed, thinking about how quickly his life was changing. Suddenly the song Voices by Motionless In White started to play on Ian's phone. Ian grabbed his phone and answered the call, knowing who it was and why he was calling.
"I had a feeling that you would call me, however I expected it to be sooner than this" said Ian.
"I had things to do, how are you doing at Cherryton?" Asked the voice on the other end.
"I've only been here for a few days and all I've been doing is moving my stuff into my dorm room and walking around the school to make sure I know where everything is when I start classes next week" said Ian.
"Is Melon behaving himself as well?" Asked the voice on the other end.
"Yeah, he's doing all right. Both him and I are going to be in the drama club, and you remember that strange wolf that you told me to keep an eye out for and to also keep a close eye on him" said Ian.
"Yes?" said the mysterious voice.
"Well it turns out he'll also be in the drama club, so it looks like my job will be easier than I though" said Ian.
"Just keep an eye on him and watch over him, and make sure he stays out of trouble" said the mysterious voice on the phone.
"Yeah, I'll keep an eye on him, however I still don't understand why you're so interested in him?" Asked Ian.
"The same reason why I was interested in you and Melon, I'll talk to you later kid" the mysterious voice said, before he hung up.
Ian lowered his phone and looked out the window into the bright sky.
"See you later Yahya" said Ian, as he left to head towards the drama club building.
Ian was enjoying himself, he was finally in a place where he could be himself and not have to worry about anything.
"You herbivores think you're so cute, thinking that you could get away with anything just because you're small and fluffy, and the slightest thing we carnivores do whether it be we show our fangs or we look at a herbivore the wrong way… BAM! We get sent to juvie and the next we know the rest of our lives are ruined because of snotty herbivores like you" said a voice coming from around the corner.
Ian's train of thought was halted as he heard the voice, and whoever said it wasn't a very friendly one to herbivores. Ian slowly poked his head around the corner and saw two carnivores, one being a tiger with white fur and black stripes, and the other being a badger with gray fur with black and white markings around the face.
"Yeah, one of my family relatives was just walking down the street when a young rabbit girl accidently bump into him, and because of my relative having a scar on his face from a old injury years ago and that the little girl scraped her elbow on the sidewalk, he was accused of predation and got a 15 year prison sentence" said the badger.
Ian thought that was messed up, but a tiger and a badger shouldn't be cornering two helpless female rabbits. Ian moved back into the other wallway so that the tiger, the badger, nore the two rabbits would see him. Knowing that his mother would be proud of him for stepping in and helping the girls, but Yahya wouldn't be so amused. Taking a deep breath Ian turned the corner to face the tiger and the badger.
"You know a carnivore can get into serious trouble by threatening a herbivore like this and if another herbivore student found you in this position… well they might get the wrong idea and would think that you were trying to commit a predation" said Ian, as he walked up to the two carnivores and two herbivores.
"Why would a freak of nature like you care about what we do to these rabbits?" The badger said with a sneer.
"Easy Carter, the abomination-looking cat just wants to be taught a lesson on his place in this world" said the tiger.
"Well, I'll be happy to teach it to him, Dillon" said the badger.
Carter, the badger flanked Ian on the left while Dillon, the tiger flanked Ian on right, the two rabbit girls backed up and stood in horror as the mysterious hybrid that just appeared out of nowhere was about to fight a badger and a tiger by himself. Carter rushed at Ian, jumping on his back while Dillon rushed at Ian from the front going for a punch to the face. Ian blocked the tiger's punch with a kick, Ian then proceeded to jab his left elbow into the head of the badger causing him to fall off. The tiger was able to punch Ian in the mouth, busting his bottom lip open, but Ian retaliated by delivering a powerful kick to the tiger's head and then proceeded to deliver two quick punches to tiger's mid-section and face. The badger tried to jump at his target once again, but this time Ian spun around and thrust out his right foot with perfect timing and pin-point accuracy to kick the badger in his chest, sending him crashing into the nearest wall. The badger got up and limped away leaving his friend behind. Ian turned around to face the black and white tiger, but the sadistic feline had rings on three of his fingers and he back-handed Ian in the face, right across his left eye causing Ian to scream out in pain. The tiger tried to punch Ian, but Ian caught his hand and proceeded to snap the tiger's wrist and then grabbed the tiger's shoulder from behind and proceeded to straighten out the arm only to deliver a powerful kick to the elbow, breaking it and causing the feline to scream out in tremendous pain. Ian kicked the tiger in the back as the wounded feline ran off clutching his injured arm.
Ian put his hands to his knees before collapsing to the ground in pain, Ian's entire left side of his face was covered in blood. Ian went to touch his wound when a soft hand grabbed his hand and his head was placed in a person's lap. Ian was just about to pass out from blood loss, but before he did he heard footsteps coming his way and a quiet voice whispered the words "thank you" into his right ear and with that Ian's world faded to black.
I hope you all like chapter 2, sorry it took me so long to finish it. I'll try to update the story as quickly as possible while making it as interesting as possible. Next time in chapter 3, Ian will suffer the after effects of the fight and get into a very heated confrontation with Bill and Legoshi in the drama club.
