Power Rangers Turbo (Redux)
Episode One: Shift Into Turbo
(Part III)
Angel Grove Energy Center
"Havoc I never thought I'd have to see you again! Lemme guess you want to duel again am I right?" Tommy inquired, getting into a martial arts stance. "Yes did you really think a well of lava would stop me?! You're going to have to do a little better than that Oliver! Time to fight!" He says drawing his sword into is hand. "Alright if you say so! TURBO LIGHTNING SWORD!" Tommy called, in an instant the sword appeared in his hand, he then engaged in a gumdo stance then charged in as Havoc blocked his attack with the sword. He swings his sword once more but Havoc blocks again and slashes Tommy across his chest causing Tommy to stumble back. Tommy gets back to his feet and charges again wildly, this was unlike Tommy as he was usually very calm and focused in battle, especially with a being that's been considered a rival of sorts over the years. He tries to swing his sword and actually lands an attack on Havoc but this left him open for a counterattack and Havoc actually lands a critical attack on Tommy, slashing him across his chest twice. This causes Tommy to demorph. "Ahhhh Oliver is getting too broken for battle, your fighting prowess is lacking! While have you been racing these past 6 months, I've been training and getting stronger preparing for this day! It's a pity that 6 months of peace has cost my greatest rival his strength!" Tommy hated that he was saying this but he was right, he hadn't really been focused on martial arts like he was in the past, the fact that he was graduating and would soon be going off to MIT had him very distracted. He was not the same Tommy Oliver that once fought Jason Lee Scott to a tie in a martial arts tournament his first week at Angel Grove High School. This wasn't the same Tommy Oliver that when backed into a corner by both Turban Shell and Goldar pushed through and persevered, defeating Goldar and helping the Mighty Morphin team destroy Turban Shell before losing his Green Ranger Powers completely. Most important of all he wasn't the same Tommy Oliver that had lead his own Mighty Morphin, Zeo teams and even this Turbo team. Even then the one thing that never left was the fire inside. These words stung worse than any attack any monster had laid on him. Tommy kicked him away and saw the implosion device in between 2 pipes. He makes a run for it and reaches it but Havoc grabs on to him throwing him back on the ground.
The Power Chamber
The radar goes off as Alpha and Zordon look at the viewing screen, both alarmed and a little concerned for Tommy, they'd never seen him look this bad in battle. Even when he was going through his ordeal with losing the green ranger powers he had a lot of fight in him, again when he lost the White Ranger powers and even having to put the Zeo powers on the back burner because they were growing too strong for he and the other rangers to control he still had that same drive, but nothing could prepare them for this. "Oh no Zordon, Tommy is losing control!" Alpha says concerned for Tommy. "Yes Alpha, contact Justin, he's gotten Bulk and Skull to safety. Tell him to go back and help Tommy." Zordon commanded. "Ay Yai Yai Zordon, Justin doesn't even have ranger powers." Alpha Exclaimed. "This is true Alpha but he does have excellent martial arts skills being a student of Rocky's, he would be able to help." Zordon explains. "Ay Yai Yai Zordon, I hope you're right!" Alpha says pressing a button on the computer.
Angel Grove Energy Center
Justin had just helped Skull and a paramedic load Bulk into the back of an ambulance. As the ambulance departs the plant, Justin's communicator goes off. He then raises the communicator up to his face and answers it. "This is Justin, come in. He says, Zordon answers on the other side, instructing Justin on his friend being in trouble. "Justin, Tommy is in trouble on the other side of the plant you must get to him and hurry, Havoc may not keep him around for much longer." Justin paused for a moment, thinking to himself "Tommy's in this bad shape? Oh no!" He then responds to Zordon on the communicator, "I'm on it Zordon!" He then presses a button on his communicator and teleports to the part of the plant he last saw Tommy. He hears Havoc talking far away and rushes over towards Tommy and Havoc. Havoc raises his sword above his head, about to land the finishing blow on Tommy, who was on the ground, Tommy tried to raise his hand up, with a look of fear as he saw Havoc's blade quickly coming down, he closed his eyes as he really thought that day would be the day. He then hears a voice "Head's up Havoc, AIYAHHH" Justin yelled, as he's just arrived in the nick of time. Kicking Havoc back and saving Tommy, who slowly was able to get back on his feet. "Thanks Justin, I was nearly a goner there. We have to get rid of that implosion device or the others won't be able to graduate. Tommy says trying to catch his breath. "Tommy you don't look so good, let me worry about the implosion device you just try to keep Havoc at bay." Justin said. "Alright, I'll try Justin." Tommy said. Justin looked at Tommy worried. He'd never seen Tommy this winded and beaten before but was reassured when he heard Tommy call out Havoc, everyone that has ever known Tommy has known that the one thing that will never go away is that fire. Even when they would think he's at his lowest he'd always find a way to persevere. "Hey Havoc, you think I can't take a beating? You're gravely mistaken. Let's go! Right Here! RIGHT NOW! SHIFT INTO TURBO!" Tommy exclaimed. "TURBO LIGHTNING SWORD!" He called bringing his sword forth. "You want me Havoc you want the fight? I do too! Bring it on!" Tommy yelled. Havoc lets out a sinister laugh. "I thought you'd never ask." Then lets out a blast from his hand. Tommy jumps back and jumps over Havoc kicking him the back. "Come on Havoc, clearly you can do better than that!" As this is happening Justin has found the implosion device and has deactivated it. "Tommy I've found and deactivated the device. No worries about this place losing power anymore." Tommy has had a second wind against Havoc and is winning their battle. Havoc swings his sword and misses causing Tommy to slash across his chest twice, Havoc falls. "We will finish this later Oliver!" He then teleports away. "Power Down!" Tommy says, he then makes the call to Justin. "Justin are you still here?" Checking in on his youngest friend just to make sure he's okay." I'm fine Tommy." Justin says popping out of a corner of the plant right in front of Tommy. "How are you doing? I thought you were a goner back there." Tommy responds with a little bit of exhaustion in his voice. "I'm fine Justin, it's just I feel like my heads not in it like it once was. I gotta find a way to shake back the feeling, I don't know maybe Havoc is right, with college coming up and all these opportunities, I haven't been focused these past six months." Justin stops him and reassures him. "Come on Tommy, you can't think like that, you've always found a way to come back stronger, I mean you just did it 15 minutes ago. You've got this and I'm pretty sure the others feel the same way I do. But I better head to the graduation ceremony before the others get worried. I'll see you around Tommy, and remember don't beat yourself up." Justin then teleports away leaving Tommy to ponder on what he just said. "Man that kid is wise for a 14 year old." Tommy then teleports back to the racetrack in order to make sure no suspicions are drawn.
Angel Grove Botanical Gardens
"And for the last four years, I've watched you all grow and learn and it has given me hope that the future of this great nation is secure. I am so proud of all of you as you should be proud of yourselves." Mr. Kaplan continues his speech as Adam is looking around. Justin hasn't arrived yet and it's worrying him. He leans over to whisper into Tanya's ear. "Do you see Justin?" He asked. "No" Tanya said. "It's weird huh?" She continued. It was just then when Justin walks in that the groups worries are put to rest. He taps his communicator at them to symbolize they needed to talk whenever the ceremony is over. Adam caught onto it and told the others "We have to meet up with Justin after this is over." He said. They then focus back on what's at hand, and as time passes by Catherine makes her speech as Valedictorian of Angel Grove High class of 1997. Then, Principal Kaplan calls their names for them to receive their diplomas as the graduation march plays in the background, Aisha Campbell... Rocco Desantos... Kimberly Hart... Catherine Hillard... Trini Kwan... Adam Park... Jason Scott... Tanya Sloan... Zackary Taylor... as the rest of the graduating class walk and receive their diplomas Mr. Kaplan finishes his speech. "I'm so proud of you all. Ladies and Gentlemen stand up and help me congratulate the Angel Grove High School Class of 1997." It's at this point when the audience begins cheering and the graduates throw their caps in the air. Later the gang of current and former rangers meet up with Justin and he debriefs them on what transpired at the Power Plant. Even what happened with Tommy. It's at this point Jason and Kimberly lift their head up. They're the two people in Angel Grove that know Tommy the best and know what happens when he gets down on himself. "Kimberly you and I have to go and talk to him we know him the best." Jason said. Kimberly agreed. "Yea does your communicator still work? I'm ready!" Adam stepped up being the second in command of the team. "Alright guys lets head to the command center, Zordon will be able to help us out." They all press a button on their communicators and teleport away in streaks of Green, Blue, Pink and Yellow lights. They are soon joined by seven streaks of white lights.
