The remaining duelists in the Interdimensional Tournament had taken their positions on the field as the audience eagerly awaited the days matches.

"We had quite a few intense duels in the first round, but things are only going to get tougher from here right Melissa?" Nico Smiley announced with a grin.

"Indeed. We now have our remaining 16 contestants!" Melissa called as the lights shined on the 16 duelists, "Only three Duelists remain from the Pendulum Dimension, two from Xyz, two from Fusion, two from Synchro, three from Ritual, and only three of our Special Guests remain!"

"All things considered it's still pretty even." Leo admitted.

"Yeah, I wonder what the rest of the tournament will be like." Yuki said looking around.

"Now, let's see who's dueling first." Melissa smiled.

The pictures shuffled before revealing the Zaizen Siblings against each other, both Sandy, and Spencer are after them, and then Ace will be against Mason. Ace gasped turning to Mason. Mason also looked shocked before turning to Ace.

"Good luck Mason." Ace smiled.

Mason smiled nodding.

"Well, looks like it's our turn." Akira smiled too Skye.

"When was the last time we dueled?" Skye asked as they walked to the field.

"It's been a long time, a few years." Akira replied with a small smile.

"Alright everyone both of our Special Guests are gonna duke it out! Wish them luck!" Nico called.

The crowd cheered as they looked to see what type of duel it would be. The spinner spin before stopping on Master Duel which Melissa called, "Now we get to see the power of two Link Summoners! Alright Duelists prepare your hands to duel!"

The two Zaizen siblings activated their Duel Disks together.

"DUEL!" Skye and Akira called.

The gate rose before opening revealing Acute Cerberus roaring.

"I use the effect of Trickstar Corobane in my hand, I discard her to double Sweet Guitar's attack points." Skye countered discarding the monster.

"Looks like it's over?" Skye asked him.

Skye's eyes widened at that.

"Battle! Hound attacks Holly Angel!" Akira called as Hound charged in attacking the Link Monster.

Skye braced herself as her Link Monster shattered.

"Why didn't he used it on Lycoris. He would've scored more damage." Ace asked confused.

Yusaku explained, "He wouldn't win the duel this turn. He tried a logical solution. By getting rid of Holly Angel, Sweet Guitar's effect to double the damage will not be effective anymore."

"Oh yeah." Ace nodded.

"Anything else Akira?" Skye asked.

"That's my turn." Akira ended for her.

Her four monsters flew into the top, bottom-left, bottom, and right arrows.

Bella Madonna fired a large blast striking Akira.

Sandy nodded kissing Ace on the lips. He blushed at that with a smile.

"Let's see what kind of duel Sandy and Spencer will be facing off in." Nico Smiley mentioned.

The two walked up before it stopped on Master Duel again.

"Another Master Duel, this should be interesting." Zarc smiled.

"That's true." Blue Frost agreed.

Spencer nodded saying to Sandy, "Good luck."

"You two. I saw how strong you are against Larsa. He was a tough guy." Sandy admitted.

While placing in his Deck, Spencer said, "Well let's how strong you are."

"Glady." Sandy prepared herself.

"Any idea who's going to win?" Mir inquired to Ray.

Ray shrugged, "I honestly don't know."

Mir nodded turning to the duel only to smile seeing Chōko was sitting with Tate as they watched.

Ace's eyes widened in fear seeing that. Sandy grinned before the smoke revealed General survived.

"What a surprise, it seems Sandy's monster survived the battle." Melissa mentioned.

"With Haunted Night's effect, Ghosts I have can't be destroyed in battle." Sandy explained.

"Ace looks relieved to see that." Ray mentioned.

Spencer however called, "Maybe but I activate the trap, Vex Rush!"

"Are you ok?" Riley asked nervously.

"Yeah. I'm sure it's honestly a false alarm." Casey assured his girlfriend.

She nodded and turned back to the duel. Spencer said to Sandy, "This is the most powerful of the Vex same with Skolas being the strongest of the Fallen. First DataMind gives Serkion 500 points."

"Then I activate it's Special Ability! I use 1 Overlay Unit to give it double the power it has now!" Spencer revealed as Serkion takes an Overlay Unit which makes it power up large.

Her eyes widened.

"5000 attack points!" Kelly cried in shock.

"Oh no!" Ace cried. "Sandy!"

Sandy grunted before calling, "I'll have to stop you there! I activate, Ghost Jumpscare!"

The ghost jumped out screaming at Serkion before pausing seeming like she's glitching.

"What?" Mason asked seeing that.

"I knew you had a card waiting so I have this." they looked to see Spencer used a Counter Trap of his own.

"SANDY!" Ace cried in horror seeing that.

Sandy slowly sat up before looking down, "I tried my best Acey... Honest..."

He hugged her. "It's ok, I'm just happy you're not hurt."

Sandy hugged him back as Spencer stared on before giving a slight nod to Serkion who vanished following the duel's end.

"He's good, beating Spencer won't be easy." Ryoken noted.

"But... There was something wrong." Casey admitted to them.

Hearing that they turned to him.

"I started to sense something weird. It first started in his earlier duel with Larsa when he summoned Skolas... And that feeling came back when he summoned Serkion." Casey admitted.

Hearing that they frowned before Ace paused while still hugging Sandy and turned. "Mason, it's our turn right?"

"Oh yeah." Mason smiled to him, "I don't indeed to go easy on ya bud. Give me all ya got."

He smiled at that. "Ok."

They walked to the field as Nico called, "Now everyone let us greet Ace Akaba, and Mason Livingston two duelists with high potential!"

"Let's see how these two young duelists handle themselves." Melissa added as they looked to see what kind of duel it would be.

It stopped at Speed Duel this time.

"A Speed Duel." Ace whispered. "You can go first Mason."

Mason smiled nodded as the boards appeared as they rode in.

"SPEED DUEL!"

At that the area below them turned into an ocean.

"Huh? A skill right now?" Mason asked surprised.

Ace reached his hand into the water. "I pay life points equal to the attack points of a Fish, Aqua, or Sea Serpent in my graveyard and then I can summon it. I pay 1300 life points."

The two charged striking Mason causing him to kneel. (Mason: 0500/Hand: 1)

"Now, Mermail Abyssalacia attack Mason directly!" Ace called.

The Link charged before Mason looked up showing he has a sly grin. Seeing that Ace blinked. "Mason?"

"Sorry you aren't the only one with a cool skill." Mason grinned standing on his board before spreading his arms, "I activate my skill! Gyrus Blessing Gate!"

From what what took shape in front of him was a gate mixing of heaven, earth, and hell.

Ace's eyes widened at that.

"This Skill's effect is simple. While a Field Spell that is a Gyrus card is on the field, this allows me to use it! Any kind of damage, I will take now instead turns to Life Points for me!" Mason called.

The gate opened showing a swirling twilight vortex which Abyssalacia shot her water attack at in the vortex which the gate took before from behind it converted light sparkled energy which Mason takes. (Mason: 2100/Hand: 1)

"That's a pretty useful skill..." Dawn trailed off admitted, "Especially to some people that uses Gyrus Decks."

Ace looked shocked at that before smiling. "I end my turn Mason."

"You asked for my best." Ace smiled.

"Then I'll give it back. Draw!" Mason drew looking.

Ace looked on nervously.

"Alright, I'll start by activating Gyrus Glitch!" Mason called using a spell.

You can only activate each effect of "Gyrus Glitch" per turn.


"This spell gets me to summon a Gyrus from the graveyard in exchange for 1000 points." Mason said to him. (Mason: 1100/Hand: 1) That was when Spider rose up in Defense.

"Then Glitch's effect gives me half of Spider's defense points." Mason said glowing. (Mason: 1250/Hand: 1) "Spider won't be along long cause, I'm summoning Gyrus Necromancer!"

"Necromancer pays 1000 of my points in order to summon Skeleton back but it can't have it's abilities!" Necromancer started chanting as the graveyard portal opened where Skeleton rose up.

"Oh, and from the jaws of defeat Mason comes back by summoning a Link 4 monster!" Nico announced.

"Now, I Link Summon! Come forth, Link 4! Gyrus Baal!"

What rose in the Extra Monster Zone was a humanoid demonic ruler who rose up raising a staff.

"Huh, only 1500?" Ace asked seeing that.

"You ain't seen nothing yet." Mason grinned before saying, "I can use Spider's effect but I chose not too cause, I got something better planned just for you!"

"For me?" Ace asked curiously.

Mason called, "Appear again, circuit of purgatory!" Instead of the circuit what instead appeared was a hellish glowing black circle with a seal on it.

"Oh my, what's happening?" Melissa asked in shock seeing that.

Baal turned black flying up entering the seal as Mason called, "Several Circles of Hell! Transcend these planes to give the true power of the Lord of Destruction back to him! Reincarnation Link Summon! Appear once more, Gyrus Baal!"

Baal shot up twirling his staff but now has a green flaming aura around him.

Gyurus Baal: (Attack Position/Extra Monster Zone/Link Summoned using monster with same name)

Ace's eyes widened. "Wow. That's really cool."

"The Gyrus Deck uses a new advancement to Link Summoning. Reincarnation Link Summoning!" Mason announced before saying, "Once per turn, Gyrus Hell's effect allows me to Link Summon a Gyrus by using a monster with the same name as the whole material!"

"Is that the real power?" Ace asked curiously.

"Yes of course. And here's why." Mason said before calling, "I use Baal's reincarnation ability! I pick 1 monster it's Linked too, and gain Life Points equal to the attack or defense points of that monster whichever is lower! Both Baal, and Mermail Abysslacia are pointing at the same monster!"

Ace's eyes widened. "You mean... you get 3000 life points?"

"Close it's 2900." Mason said as Baal generated healing waves at him. (Mason: 3150/Hand: 0)

"Well... at least you don't have 4600 points again." Ace admitted.

"Then Baal attack Mermail Abyssteus!" Mason called as Baal charged a fire attack at Abyssteus.

"Huh, my monster's stronger." Ace pointed out.

"Higher strength can't harm Baal! Whenever a Gyrus battles while he's in play, neither of us take any damage!" Mason revealed to him, "But then here's where it gets interesting! You take damage equal to the difference of both our monster's original attack points!" Baal charged energy absorbing Abyssteus' attack before firing a green flaming attack from his staff. "The difference in the original points is 200! Abyssteus' points maybe 3000 right now but it's original attack points are 1700!"

(Ace: 0900/Hand: 0)

"Well Acey's lucky it isn't current attack points..." Sandy admitted.

"Wait, shouldn't Gyrus Baal have been destroyed in battle?" Leo asked.

Mason said, "Of course, Baall is destroyed but I was aiming for inflicting damage to Ace cause Hell's other effect allows us to draw a card if a player takes damage from an effect!"

Ace nodded at that. "Ok."

They both drew before Mason added, "Plus since a Gyrus was destroyed this turn, I get to use this card from my hand! Gyrus Demonic Revival!"

If you control no "Gyrus" Link Monsters, Link Summoned using a monster with the same name as Material you can activate this card from your hand.

"I trade 1000 points to revive Baal, and use him again for another Reincarnation Link Summon but this time he can't be destroyed!" Mason called as the graveyard portal opened where Baal starts to emerge.

"Huh?" Mason asked blinking.

"When you activate a trap I can send this card to the graveyard to negate and destroy it." Ace explained.

The armor on Abyssteus shattered which stops the summoning.

Mason blinked surprised, "Huh, didn't think of that..."

Ace let out a sigh at that. 'That was really close.'

Mason smiled before saying, "I end my turn."

Ace drew his card. "Abyssteus, attack."

Abyssteus charged in striking Mason.
