Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Curse of the Wendigo. Enjoy the 8300-word chapter. I don't own RWBY; Monty and a few others do.

Velvet looked around with amusement at her team… And with dread at what was coming. Reo's words still bounced around his head like a massive rubber ball. It was quite clear that they had something that had been oddly poking around their minds like it said before she hummed.

"Ok, so what's up?" Coco questioned as Velvet held up her hand where the scratch on her arm was visible. "Whoa, you got into a scrap?" Coco started to say before Velvet spoke.

"Remember that mission 2 nights ago? The one with the people whom a Nevermore shot down?" Velvet asked before she sighed. "When I was on that mission? A monster, some kind of animal had gone after me." Velvet stated to which she got some looks.

"So, a Grimm got you?" Coco asked to which she shook her head.

"No, a student, someone named Reo." Velvet said before Coco reached to the side. "PUT THE DAMN HANDBAG DOWN!" Velvet yelled before Coco jumped.

Her eyes glowed a lot bluer than before they slowly started to soothingly fade back to chocolate brown as she spoke up again.

"Reo didn't hurt me on purpose. He was the giant animal that attacked the Grimm after they came after me." Velvet stated before she sighed to herself. "This isn't a cut. He marked me when he picked me up. Its… A curse we both have." Velvet stated before Fox frowned.

"So, he's some sort of mutant Faunus?" Fox asked before the door softly opened.

Velvet looked at the black-haired yellowed eye Reo as he frowned before speaking. The others blinked in shock as Reo slowly turned and walked towards her.

"A werewolf," Reo stated as he sat next to Velvet. "She invited me and I felt like I owed her for dragging her into this. I'm still sorry I accidentally cut you, I was trying to make sure you weren't hurt by the Beowolves after I killed them." Reo stated to which Velvet hummed.

"It's fine, we both knew what was going to happen for the time being. I don't know what it's going to be like when it comes down to it." Reo stated before he sighed and looked around with such interest.

He didn't know what to have said to have to question before it was all out of order when it came down to having to question. He didn't know what to have to say for the time being.

"It's called the Wendigo which turned me into this thing. I don't know what it's like." Reo stated to which he rubbed at his temples before he looked at the ground and then back up. "I don't know what to do about it. This thing marked me and I marked Velvet by accident. I didn't mean for this to happen." Reo added before he sighed and looked around with a frown on his face.

"So, you two have some sort of magic curse on you that turns you into two giant monsters?" Coco asked to which they nodded at one another with some clear sign of hesitation on their faces for the time being.

They had such a measure of peace that could do something for now. He didn't at all know what to have to do next, they had so much to talk about, and yet? He didn't even begin to notice what had been coming and how it would have gone if he had gotten it when this was said and done.

"So, you two are… Cursed?" Fox asked to which they gave nods. "Then if we kill the Wendigo?" Fox asked to which Reo frowned.

"It's not that easy to kill. Trust me, I've been at it for 6 months… That thing is no ordinary Grimm." Reo said with a frown. "And I don't know… I do know Velvet is going to transform tonight." Reo said before he shook his head and looked to the side with anger.

"Into…?" Coco started to say to which Reo shook his head.

"I can't transform into it during the day. That's not how the curse works, it's the same for her. I can tell you that much at least about the curse we have in common." Reo said before he sighed. "Velvet is going to transform into a beast and it's not something you can just mess with and expect it to give up. Trust me at least with that." Reo said before he frowned.

"It's not your fault I'm cursed, Reo. You didn't know any better." Reo heard to which he shook his head.

"It's my fault because I didn't leave. I turned you into another me and when it comes out? It's going to be scared, hungry, and eager for a fight." Reo added before he rubbed at his nose, annoyed and far more alone than he had been a little while ago.

Unless your different from me and I PRAY you are? There's going to be a VERY bad thing… This thing in you is something you don't want and it's going to be hungry." Reo said as Velvet was silent.

Velvet rested her hand on his as he frowned and looked at her, wondering if she had gone as insane as him for the time being, it'd tell him a lot more than he could have thought if she did. A lot more, something that only served to make him far more of an odd little thing.

She squeezed his hand, her claw-like nails gently pressing into his skin.

"You're not a monster just because of this… We're going to get through this as a team." Velvet stated before she turned to the others. "Whatever turned Reo into a werewolf-like what I'm describing? He's still in control when it comes to it. I'm not going to just abandon him and I'm going to help fight with him against whatever the Wendigo is." Velvet added to which Reo is.

"Velvet… Thank you." Reo said before he sighed and looked at the others. "There's a cave where I went when I turned into that thing. I could feel myself turning into it… When Velvet will turn tonight? I want her there. She's going to lose control for a while… I'm going to stop her until she backs down and gets control back from the other part of her." Reo stated to which he could only sigh before he rolled his eyes.

"Hey, hang on, bucko, she's our teammate, and we're going…" Coco started to say as Reo growled.

"I KILLED MY TEAMMATES AS THAT THING!" Reo roared which startled them. "Velvet's innocent, nice, helpful. That voice in her head is going to make her turn you into confetti. Trust me… It's my fault she's like this and I'm not going to let that thing in her kill you all because of my mistake. Let me talk her down or handle her then come in… Ok? That's all I ask for, ok?" Reo said before he shook his head.

He was too silent, too unwilling to handle it for now. They had a lot more on their minds which made him frown as he realized just how he sounded… However? He wasn't sorry. Not simply made his mind hurt more and more until he got terrified for now.

He sighed as he realized more and more that this wasn't going to be easy. In fact? He knew he wasn't going to have to question it for the time being when it was all said and done. Reo looked at her, squeezing his hand for reassurance as both looked at the group.

"How much time do we have?" Yatsuhashi questioned to which Reo hummed.

"The second the full moon comes out? She'll change. So, 2 hours. You can't block it even if you put something between the moon and you." Reo said before he looked at Coco. "Let me deal with it, as soon as she's not bloodthirsty? You can talk to her. Unless you want to fight Velvet? Let me handle it, ok?" Reo said to which Coco sighed, clearly not happy.

"Then let's get this over with," Coco said to which Reo nodded.

(1 hour, 50 minutes later)

Velvet looked at the glowing mark on her skin which pulsated and glowed, bathing her in blue ethereal light as she looked up at Reo's who glowed the same hellish red as his eyes had.

"You really should kill me… It will end this." Reo said as the bullhead touched down and the group quickly exited.

"I don't kill people unless they're evil." Velvet added to which Reo shook his head.

They reached the cave. A massive cavern burrowed deep into the rock. Velvet walked closer to see there were deep cuts into the stones surrounding it as Reo sighed.

"Stay there… No matter whatever yelling is heard or no matter how terrible it seems. Stay outside." Reo said before he gestured for Velvet to go inside. "Push that rock over," Reo said as he gestured to a stone near the doorway.

Yatsuhashi slashed the stone and was rewarded with a cracking crumbling noise as stone and dust rained down and forced the trio back, Reo and Velvet rolled inside the cavern as stone and mortar covered behind them.

"Damn it, you two ok!? You could have warned us!" Coco yelled from the other side as Reo spoke.

"I did, those claw marks are from me, stay outside until she calms down!" Reo said as he turned to Velvet. "I want to warn you, this is going to be painful. Your body isn't going to be used to the changes for the first time. That's part of the reason you get bloodthirsty." Reo said before he looked out of the stones and up into the sky.

"We're out of time," Reo said before his eyes glowed red. "I'm sorry," Reo said as he sighed.

"I'm Re…" Velvet started to say. "AUGHRRRRR!" Velvet screeched before she doubled over in pain.

Reo watched as her face went feral, twisted, and snarled in pain and agony as her fingernails grew, sharpening and lengthening into claws the size of knives. Her teeth cracked as fangs tore out from where her incisors were, becoming dagger thin and sharp as a sword.

Velvet felt fur rapidly grow from her body, racing across her palms which quickly contorted into beast-like human paws. Her ears, both Faunus and human became fuzzier, her Faunus ears becoming sleeker, narrower, and yet stronger as fur overtook them.

There was also a horrid crack as she doubled over. Reo watched in awe as dust crystals jutted from her forearms, narrowly avoiding her shirt.

The same could not be said for her shoulders where 2 more jagged crystal-like spikes tore from her suit. He was glad she had told him she had more.

Her black top also tore along her belly, exposing her stomach and naval before more brown fur spread over, Velvet felt the same bony crystal-like growths race over her chest, making her grasp her jumpsuit there. Her feet became larger like a rabbit as her shoes barely contained her new limbs but her leggings tore at the bottom and in several places. He swore he saw a bunny-like tail sprout from behind her.

Finally? Her face barely changed save for bony-like growths framing her cheeks and face as fur consumed her face as well. Reo watched as several of the spikes snapped from her spine with a few holes in her back shirt forming as well. She felt herself growing an inch or two until she was 7 feet tall. A crown of the same growths covered her upper head almost like a helmet as crimson vein-like lines appeared on her face.

At this time? Reo had shifted, his body shifted, fur replacing skin, hulking up until he was his ideal height. She was smaller than him… But he was still worried.

"GRR…." Velvet hissed as she bared her claws and fangs at Reo who blinked, too shocked to have said anything.

"Velvet, can you hear me?" Reo asked to which he was given no response.

He went to take a step forward and she lunged forward, throwing the massive werewolf off balance as she roared at him, reminding him that she was far beyond a mere Faunus now.

He tried to grab her only for her to spring forward, her new form enhancing her to where she shot like a bullet fired from an enhanced railgun. Reo felt his back hit the cave wall hard enough to crack it and rain stone and sediment down.

"Reo, we're coming in!" Fox yelled to which Reo growled and struggled to fend her off.

"DON'T! SHE'LL TEAR YOU TO PIECES!" Reo roared as he blocked one of Velvet's razor-sharp kicks. "Velvet, fight the damn curse! You're going to kill someone if you don't!" Reo roared to which she said nothing.

It was clear to him that she was damn strong, maybe even stronger than him, the other voice seemed to at least consider that.

"Ah, there she is… I told you she'd come back… Heh, the damn deer thought she got rid of her. She ain't easy to kill." The voice said before Reo regained control.

With a roar of his own, the werewolf swept the lithe were rabbit off her feet and slammed her to the ground. He struggled to keep her there as she slammed her feet into his chest, Reo felt something in his chest buckle and he coughed up blood.

"Damn it, she's much stronger than I thought she'd be," Reo stated as he sighed to himself.

This wasn't going to be something he could just push aside; it was something else… Something brewing in the back of his mind. He roared at her as she roared back, a feral screech pushing itself from her throat as the two mutated Faunus locked fingers, pushing their strength against one another while he sighed to himself.

He roared to himself, pain in his gestures as the ground cracked, showing him the ground, she was still massively strong as he tried and failed to budge her.

"Calm down," Reo said as he managed to kick her backward. "Ow… Damn it, it feels like kicking a steel wall." Reo stated to which he watched as she climbed to her feet in seconds before he shook his head.

He hadn't yet seemed to have found it anywhere near as satisfying when it came down to it. He hadn't prepared for the time being, he wasn't going to have let this get out of control like it was going to have been. He didn't at all know what was to have come from this thing.

Velvet roared which rocked the battered werewolf once more to have done for the time being. He wasn't going to have let this define him, but he damn well didn't at all want to have done something and it was clear that he had something else on his mind, something he'd have to have dealt with for now… This was all him and yet he had entirely failed to have grasped it.

He tried to pin her, knowing exactly what would have happened if he had failed to have stopped her. This much rage and fury? Yes, it'd have been something he couldn't have comprehended, couldn't have controlled. It was entirely clear what would have happened if he hadn't stopped her.

She dug her claws into his limbs, making him roar as blood dripped down from his wounds, reminding him she was far more powerful than she had seemed to have been. It'd have been odd and far odder still, but he didn't at all relent.

He slammed her into the wall, pinning her with his bulk as she tried to maneuver. Reo felt Velvet's claws and teeth tear into his body.

"Damn it, I forgot how strong she'd probably be when she had gotten here," Reo stated as he roared in pain, too thrown off to properly react.

"She's the queen of our kind. She will not relent simply to power as easily as you believe. You must match her entirely…. Match her fully, boy." The voice said before leaving with a terrible chuckle as he tried and failed to have stopped her.

He knew damn well what would happen if he did not. He knew Velvet would rip through Coco and the others if she was allowed out and he'd not soon forget it.

She roared and charged at him only for him to slam her back into the wall, pressing a hand to her chest to arrest her momentum.

"Velvet, fight the damn curse, you're not a monster, are you!?" Reo roared as she growled at him, teeth gnashed as she did so. "No. You will NOT eat me. You hear me!? You will NOT!" Reo roared as she paused.

He had slammed her so roughly into the stone he didn't notice some of her blood dripping down. Her aura crackled a faint chocolate brown as he stopped her, looking into her ocean blue eyes.

"Velvet, calm down… I'm not going to hurt you, ok? I don't want to." Reo stated, his voice dropping as he did so.

Did he know if anything that for all her power? She'd not be able to have been something he couldn't handle. He watched, hoping… Praying even, as her eyes slowly dilated and she pondered how well this clash would have gone if she was so clearly unwilling to have relented at all. It was entirely clear she had wanted to rip out of the cage she had placed herself within.

He held fast, not purely out of a desire to be free or to disgruntle her skill but because he wanted to see her know that she had been less powerful or perhaps caught off guard for the time being.

She forced herself to her feet, the sound of cracking bones and snapping joints didn't exactly do him any favors as the lithe Faunus snarled at him. He slammed them into the wall, cracking it more and more and allowing both of them a moment of peace as he growled, snarling at her before she took a deep breath.

She slammed off the wall, kicking it with such a force that it cracked and almost shattered, her shoes ripped in several places allowing her clawed paw-like feet to poke through as she landed atop the Faunus-like beast whom she had at her mercy before taking a deep breath.

"Velvet, can you hear me?" Reo questioned to which there was a long breath. "Velvet, control it. Control your destiny, right now." Reo stated as she took a deep breath.

Velvet rolled onto the ground, convulsing as Reo finally hugged her to him. The smaller Faunus whimpered in pain as Reo looked at the door before sighing.

Did he risk it? He didn't at all know what she'd do if he let in more people and it was clear she'd possibly maw them to death over and over again until they were little more than stains on the floor, he didn't want that option. He didn't want to see them all burn out and die the way they should have like this. It was for now that something he had to have dealt with sooner or later which meant he had to do something.

He leaned back, collapsing against the wall as he sighed, making sure to cradle her in his massive arms. Blood slowly seeped from the cuts on his body before he shook his head before he sighed to himself.

"Are you ok?" Reo questioned before she nodded. "Good… Guys? Stay out there for a bit. She's still calming down there… I'm going to need to be ok." Reo stated before he sighed to himself while he questioned what to do next.

He had cradled the smaller monster in his arms. They looked like monsters… Like beasts, he could sense her energy and it had been like. It was entirely clear to him that such a measure that it had something on his mind.

It was a lot more to have questioned before he got to his mind before he slowly started to climb upwards. He hadn't at all seemed to have considered what she'd do next.

'We're monsters. I can't take this damn thing back before it came down to it. She's going to be monstrous for years while her mind struggles to get used to it.' Reo thought before he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth and he tilted his head before he decided for himself what to do next.

He had to help her; he couldn't leave her in this state. Velvet would suffer, she'd suffer before it came down to it. Reo seemed to have questioned before he shook his head before he tilted his head as he fell mentally into a rut.

The noises of the others had fallen silent. It was clear they wanted to break into the cavern, but it was clear that more rubble would rain down into the damn cavern while they questioned what their options were.

He didn't pity them, however, and looked at Velvet whom he had cradled in his arms. The lithe Faunus woman looked as if she'd die, panting and covered in bruises and cuts which he knew her powers would heal.

He hugged her gently into his arms, it was clear to him that much more damn training would have to be implemented. He pondered for a second and only a second if she had truly calmed down, Reo himself had been in a state where his entire being had collapsed into a rage and tuckered itself out only to hide, angering itself before finally ripping itself out of its body like a horrid little cocoon made of flesh… He didn't want that for her, didn't want her to spend the day in and day out wondering if she'd become a damn monster who wanted to rend flesh from bone.

"Is this what it's like…?" A voice asked as he glanced down at Velvet who tried and failed to sit up, her legs still adjusting to the pain.

"Yes… I told you. You lose yourself, that's why I locked myself in her after a while. All those claw marks… Think of what would happen if those were people, Velvet." Reo stated which wasn't at all a lie.

He hung his head. If anything? They'd all be dying sooner or later… He'd have died.

"I'm going to die like this, Velvet… This is how it will end, a monster killed by another monster." Reo stated before he sighed mentally to himself, too unyielding to such small little ideas.

He felt a clawed hand grip his chin and looked down to see Velvet who had smiled, her maw still filled with a few fangs, but they were pushed into a somewhat warm smile.

"You're not a monster, a monster would have killed me. Reo… This is… New, but it's not the damn end of the world, is it?" Velvet questioned to which he had fallen silent.

"No, but I'm scared of what will happen. You're going to be this EVERY damn night, Velvet. The pain of your bones shattering like glass might fade and the instincts might die… But this is what you're going to be for LIFE… Or whenever it decides to let go. That's what it will do to you and it doesn't let go easily, I know… I've tried to get it too." Reo said as he sighed.

He hated the idea this may or may not work. It was clear to him there was a chance… A slim one, that either of them might be able to make it to the finish line.

Whatever had bestowed them this type of power had to have a weakness. He refused to believe it was such that he'd find it to be as insane as it should have been.

Reo sighed and closed his eyes, he closed them till they were slanted like a cat. The massive beast-like Faunus collapsed into the stone, his legs covered in cuts and bruises and his energy exhausted. Velvet hugged his stomach which was still alight with blood and scrapes, a reminder of his brush with her in general, a reminder she had matched and even had the potential to kill them if need be.

It was clear that such a problem had come down to it. she nuzzled into his side before he sighed. He hugged her to his chest before he felt tired, too amused, and too confused for now.

"Velvet?" Reo asked before he looked at her, tilting his head before he shook his head. "Are you going to be, ok? This is PERMANENT as far as I know about it when it came down to it." Velvet stated before he shook his head.

There was a lot more to have done, a lot more to see and prepare for, and he…? He could not for the life of him understand this idea. It was clear as day to Reo that the idea of such a thing was… Odd.

"I'm sure… I can control it right? It will make me like you, right?" Velvet asked to which he sighed.

There was a nod as he glanced at her, his massive clawed limbs grasping her as if she was a newborn babe, it was still something he had yet to grasp. She was as powerful as him, as capable of rending flesh, stone… Even metal, apart as if it was made of paper. She was probably even faster than him and he could tell she had the powers he had if not something else which had been born inside of him.

Velvet crossed her arms as she tapped at his chin before she clicked her fang-filled mouth, it was something else that he had to deal with before now. He let her claws brush his fur as he knew damn well, she could have cut through his flesh as if it didn't exist. He knew damn well that he'd have to train her to find some sort of balance with this curse and how he could have stopped it for now. Velvet frowned to herself while she tilted her before he sighed while which he questioned what to have done.

Velvet was a lot more to question for now. It wasn't going to have been something that should have come next. It was honestly a funny thing and yet something that had to have been cut down in its prime… Reo still hated this when it came down to it.

Velvet seemed to have questioned for now when it came down to it. She tilted her head before she looked around at the entire cavern, she smirked at him as her talons tickled his chin as he looked at her, too interested in what would come next.

He sighed and simply let her have his fun, he tilted his head before he questioned what to have to do when it came down to it. She wanted to learn more about what she was? he wanted to know how she ticked and more about her abilities. It was clear more or less that he'd be trying to find out more about her. It was utterly clear that such issues had only served to have questioned for now.

Reo heard the rocks shift before he opened his eyes and was greeted by CFVY emerging and looking at the duo as dust and stone were shattered as if they were glass. It was honestly something else.

Velvet simply leaned back in his arms as if she were an oversized cat. Reo looked at her, too interested in what to have said for now before she questioned what to do next.

"Ok… What the hell happened?" Coco questioned to which the two mutated Faunus simply looked at her. "Ok… Both of you turn into that? Damn, Reo looks like a supersized Beowolf… And V? you… Ok?" Coco asked to which she was given a nod.

It was then Velvet growled, a more amused idea before she tilted her head before it came down to it. She hadn't at all seemed to find the idea of Coco amusing as something came over her. It was a second of silence as Reo found purchase on her again.

"HE'S MINE, YOU ANNOYING WITCH! MINE, AND MINE ALONE!" Velvet roared her eyes a chilling blue.

"Damn it… There's the beast in her." Reo said as he looked at Velvet and then wrapped his arms around her. "I told you, there's always going to be part of her that's beyond normal. Whatever the curse did to her hit her mind as well as her body…. I didn't expect her to grow dust crystals, that's a new thing." Reo stated before he shook his head before he tilted his head.

He hadn't at all seemed to have questioned what she'd do if others came. Coco glanced at them, Velvet growling as she clung to Reo who had pondered what the hell she was going to have done something before it came down to it. He sighed and grasped her before she seemed to question what to do next.

It wasn't going to be easy to question what to do next. He still clutched her as if she were a smaller child and made sure she could not kill Coco and the others. It was still something that he had to manage when it came down to it. This wasn't going to have been something he wanted to have prepared for and it sure as hell wasn't something he had dealt with before now. Yes, this had to be sorted out.

Velvet growled, her teeth bared as if she had been in some sort of trance, it reminded him that she was far beyond a simple Faunus now. the curse changed them, mutated them, and broke their bodies before long. It had been a lot more of an odd thing when it came down to it, they weren't going to just stay like this… He could feel a darker presence in his body wanting him to mark more people, something that had driven him further and further.

It was clear beyond a shadow of a doubt his interaction had changed him. he felt different than the other times he had turned into this brutish monster.

"HE'S MINE, HUMAN." Velvet growled before she hugged Reo. "YOUR KIND HAS WALKED REMNANT FOR TOO LONG…. I WILL TAKE HIM… THEN I WILL KILL THE WENDIGO WHICH HAD TAKEN OUR THRONE. REMNANT BELONGS TO THE PRIMORDIALS!" Velvet growled before she reclined against Reo's chest, making him wince as her spines pressed against his fur.

"So… She's going to turn into this EVERY NIGHT?" Coco asked to which Reo nodded.

"I told you, yes," Reo said before he looked at Velvet. "I can handle her, but she's strong, fast. Ask yourself: 'What did the curse do? It makes us beyond what we were during the day. Velvet would rip through you, weapons or not… Trust me, she's far beyond whatever she is during the day. She can kill me if she wanted in this form." Reo said as he sighed to himself, all too curious as to what she can do.

She rested in the palms of his hands as if she were a damn toy. Coco watched as the smaller Faunus leaned against Reo who seemed more peaceful and more on edge like she was a weapon who had wanted blood and wanted it now.

It was clear more than anything that such limits were beyond their expertise, they were a lot more powerful and that worried him. She stood up, her clawed talon-like feet preparing and arching her back.

Reo sifted his hand which made her collapse into the palm of his hands as she looked at him, her eyes glaring blue as he did so.

"She's going to turn violent soon. I told you to leave her here till I said so… She's not going to calm down anytime soon if she's entirely like this. Trust me, I'm not trying to force you to abandon her, but Velvet could snap and rip your heart out the second you let your guard down around her. It was clear more than anything to me she wants blood and she's not going to stop until she gets it." Reo stated as he rubbed at his temples, too prepared and too unsure of what to have done next worse and worse when it came down to it.

Reo hadn't at all seemed to wish to have gotten it off his mind and he didn't wish to regret what he had done by now… It wasn't him; something had snapped inside him before it came down to it. Reo wasn't going to have questioned what to do next before it all came down to it.

Velvet growled and sat inside of his hands, crossing her clawed feet under her, her bone-like armor glowing in the cyan of hard light before it came down to it. Velvet seemed to be growling at her before she questioned what to do next.

Velvet yet seemed to prepare for now when it came down to it. She questioned what to do next. It wasn't going to be easy to constantly prepared for now when it was all over.

"LEAVE…" Velvet yelled before she sighed, she looked to the side before she questioned before it wasn't going to have happened next.

"Stop, Velvet. You're not going to cut through her when it comes down to it." Reo stated to which clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth.

It wasn't something he wanted to have tried to deal with. He didn't want her to become the monster when it came down to it. She glanced at him before growling at them, interested in what to have to do as she tilted her head. It was clear that he'd have something else to have done for now. Velvet was entirely silent as she snuggled into his side as he sighed before looking at the others while he tilted his head before he looked down at the ground.

"Coco, let me talk to her. I got some of those voices in my head and it seems she has the same thing." Velvet heard from Coco before she looked around as she slowly started to ponder what to do for the time being. "Trust me. I'm not going to do some weird werewolf stuff with her." Reo said as he took a giant sigh and leaned back against the wall as he did so.

He slowly stood up; Velvet cradled in the paw of his palms. It was clear to everyone that both of them had transformed far more than what they normally were… it was all too clear to her that these two were… Far more than normal. They were not normal Faunus, nor were they to be normal Faunus, something had snapped or clicked into place with them both as of the time being. it was something she'd learn to deal with such a motion and it was all too clear to her that both of them had been in a situation where they'd not win so easily.

"You get us if ANYTHING goes wrong, ok?" Coco asked to which Reo nodded, waving the group back and forth for now.

"I will. Just go before she snaps. I won't be able to stop her the second she snaps her chains." Reo stated before she shook her head before she questioned what to do next.

It wasn't going to be clearer on his mind that it was all going to hell sooner or later. All sooner and all later for now. it wasn't going to last in this day and age and he'd probably watch her slowly yet surely collapse into a ball of nerves and such.

Reo watched them leave, curious and anxious to say something, but hadn't at all seemed to have been a problem while he was breathing. It wasn't easy to have to deal with such a thing for now. He didn't at all wish to deal with their antics.

He felt very clawed hands grasp his own as she rotated in the palms of his hands it wasn't going to be something he could deal with them for now.

Velvet smirked at him before she snuggled into his furry chest which made the larger Faunus like mutant mutated into what he was in front of her before now. it was clear more and more issues had to be handled before now.

"Velvet, are you back to normal?" Reo questioned as he tilted his head to the side, curious as to how this wasn't going to be over for now.

"What's going to be happening next?" Velvet asked before she sighed, all too easily in pain.

"Yes, I feel like my body is going to rip itself apart over and over and over again." Velvet stated before she sighed to herself, all too curious as to how this would have ended up going.

"I told you it hurts. Bones and muscles really don't snap and cut themselves apart and then glue themselves back together…. I told you that." Reo said before he ran a hand over his cuts and bruises. "I don't know what should be going on, I don't know if this is going to be better, worse… Maybe it'd be better, I don't know and I can't say heads or tails what it's to be like. It will hurt, that's what I can tell you honestly." Reo said before Velvet looked at her mutated form.

"Did you expect me to turn into this?" Reo heard from Velvet as he shook his head. "I'm not going to be that different when it comes down to us, isn't it?" Velvet asked to which Reo fell silent, too unsure of what to say.

"Probably. I expected something… I didn't think you'd have dust crystals growing out of your body, it's a lot more I didn't at all know. I don't even understand some of it myself. All I do know is it's going to get odder and odder the more things started to change." Velvet heard to which she frowned and looked downwards.

Reo fell silent. He didn't want to hurt her feelings and he knew more than she what a nightmare it would have been. He didn't at all blame her for what was coming and what it could have been like.

This road wasn't for all of them and she knew it wasn't going to have been something easy. She could see Reo was constantly at odds with it until the day in and out and yet he kept pushing.

"Wait… This is hard light dust…" Velvet stated before she looked over herself. "I can use this for my camera!" Velvet yelled as Reo hummed before looking at her a second before speaking.

"I wouldn't try to break those off so easy, Vel. The pain might make you black out. I don't want something like that to happen, that? Or it might cause you to go feral again. Pain is very good at making you black out and let the thing in you take over." Reo said as he sighed.

It was clear to him that at this rate? Well, it wasn't going to be pretty if she lost control of her form, her power was equal to his already and it was clear she had some tricks that he didn't. However? He had a few tricks he hadn't shown yet which technically meant they were on open turf when it came down to it.

There wasn't a lot more to question yet but it wasn't going to be something he easily just recovered from. Velvet still scared him with her powers when push came to shove.

"I feel happy around you, I don't know if it's because of this twist. I still don't want to leave." Velvet said as Reo rolled his eyes before he sighed to himself.

It was a small smirk on his face as he tried not to be scared of what that implied. It was clear that such tactics would not work such a thing would have been something that should have happened.

"I'd be happy if you weren't like this, Vel. You're not going to be normal anymore… Not like this, trust me. Your transformation isn't over yet. Your body is going to keep changing more and more." Reo stated as he shook his head. "But… If you're ok now? I'm happy you feel ok around me, most… Do not for good reason." Reo said as he sighed and leaned against the wall behind him.

Velvet curled up into a ball in his hands before he shook his head before he looked before he questioned how to have done something.

"Are you going to be, ok?" Reo asked before he sighed to himself as he turned to look around. "Vel. I am not a fluffy… Screw it." Reo said as he sighed and leaned on the wall behind him.

It was honestly to be much more of a pain to deal with it, but he would be managing it clearly and properly. If anything? Reo knew he'd not at all back down when it came to helping her. If anything? This was going to be an adventure in itself to get every single little thing done and it was clear at the end of the day what had been done and how well it'd have been done for now.

These problems wouldn't fix themselves and that much was entirely clear to him at the moment. He'd have to fix it himself or risk falling into the pits of his hatred and anger at the moment.

"I feel really fast and really strong." Velvet stated to which Reo chuckled.

"You look really strong and fast," Reo said before he shook his head. "I told you it would rip your body up and put it back together. It's what it does, your bones and muscles snapped and bent all like a pretzel." Reo stated before he sighed to himself.

It was clear to him these issues weren't going to be easy for now, it wasn't going to be easier said than done.

"Can we… Practice so I can see what I can do here. I want to see what it will be like when I don't hold back." Velvet stated to which Reo fell silent.

Train? The training wasn't something he did with this body for several reasons. His body was odd and strong and yet he had not mastered it to such a degree, not to where he was confident in being more than a brute with his new body.

All of it stayed inside him and refused to let go, it cut deeper and deeper with such a measure of pain and suffering that dwelled within himself.

"If you think so, then ok… I want to warn you, I don't hold back in fights at all… Not even a little and not because it won't want to… I'm a giant monster, holding back isn't exactly easy at all." Reo said before he shook his head before it came down to it.

Reo watched as she reclined in the middle of his hands. This only made Reo sigh before he shook his head and then smirked, showing dozens and dozens of fangs that had only served to make things worse.

Reo wasn't going to have to question what to do or something else before it was all smoke and mirrors, there was only a measure of peace. She leaned against his chest as she questioned what to do next. If it wasn't so easier when push came down to it.

Reo wasn't all too honest as to how to break it apart as of now. Reo was not sure as he smirked before he slowly started to stand up and then looked around the room. He yawned before slowly setting her down on a stone in the middle of the room.

"I'll train in an hour; our wounds need to heal up. I just need to think." Reo stated before he shook his head before he seemed to handle it properly. "This wasn't going to be easy, there's a lot of ground to cover when push comes to shove. There isn't going isn't to be real-time to try and back down from…. My brain feels like it's going to melt." Reo said as he placed his hands on his temples, utterly baffled for now.

All of it served only to hype up his ego for the sake of it. Only so much damn much of a measure, for now, he smirked now as he realized perhaps some of the power his body constantly seemed to pulse with would be able to relax.

He was interrupted by a push, a force upon him that sent him stumbling and smashing into the stone wall. Before he could say anything at all? He felt another weight in his arms and realized Velvet had leaped into them, her eyes glowing blue as if she… Reo realized she was processed by whatever spirit was within her body and it was hungry.

"STAY…" Velvet growled as Reo sighed and rubbed at his wounded back.

"Fine… But don't push me into the mountain again." Reo said as he rubbed at his back, only pausing to think of what to do next.

She sat cross legged in his hands as he rolled his eyes and stopped to think for only a single moment, curious as to how well it'd work out if the spirit controlled her. Velvet was strong, she was very fast… VERY fast at the end of the day and it was clear if anything she was a lot more powerful than she looked and it wasn't going to be something he could brute force his way past. No, if anything? He had to stop that idea.

"Velvet, listen," Reo growled out as the blue light faded from her eyes. "Whatever you are now? You are not a normal Faunus. I don't think it will do much for your normal form… But as you are now? You're going to become far beyond a normal Faunus, just like me… And I don't know what the hell is going to happen when that beast comes out… Because if it's anything like mine? It's going to rip you up and spit you out like a piece of steak." Reo stated before he sighed.

"And you've never tried to talk things out with it?" Velvet asked to which Reo lowered his head.

"This isn't the easiest thing to do. You lose part of yourself; you keep losing it over and over again until it finally seems like everything you try to do makes it worse." Reo said before he rubbed his eyes. "And in this case? it keeps taking and taking until it can't take anything else from you. That's why I keep suggesting you take me down because if you don't? I don't know how to stop whatever comes next." Reo said as he sighed to himself.

It wasn't easy for him to deal with such a problem so easily. If anything? All this did was remind him of more and more problems, perhaps it was just going to be that way for a long time.

This was a very large issue that shouldn't be simple enough to solve, it was tiring, but it was not without issues. They all had a part to play in it and yet they couldn't at all stop it, not without giving up the things they all needed.

He sighed to himself as Reo constantly seemed to have to think his way out of it the entire time.

"And what happens if I beat the voice?" Velvet asked as Reo sighed.

"You can't, it won't let you. it will keep clawing and cutting at you until it rips you apart. You will not win because the other half of you isn't fine with a little control, it wants it all at the moment." Reo said before he growled.

Reo's muzzle glowed with energy as crimson red veins ran down his body, and bits of spike and bone jutted from his arms and chest.

"Come out here, woman. You've been a pain to me since you've emerged… The boy cares about your host to the least and I will not allow you to just walk away after challenging me so blatantly." The voice within Reo stated.

"And why should I do that? You've made it clear you won't rule with me, there's a lot of reason for me to keep the girl, she challenged me and she's as strong as the boy. I will not just surrender him when there's nothing left to do, nothing left to see. I will take what I wish and I will make sure you realize what I am once more." The voice added to which there was no real response, nothing stopping them from getting what they wanted.

Reo was merely a passenger along for the ride. Velvet as well and it was a clear test.
