Somewhere off in another more desolate part of the world stood a lone castle that rested in the middle of a dreary lake. Bats flew around freely in the skies and the garden in the front of the castle looked gangly and overgrown. A guard ran swiftly through the garden and into the castle with a letter in his hand. "My lady! Our scouts have intercepted the message to the Vatican! My colleagues were able to dispatch of the messenger before he made it to his headquarters and took all of his important documents upon your request!" Said the guard as he ran into the throne room. The castle felt almost empty with the lingering feeling of ghosts that still lived in the halls.
The guard entered the throne room with the letter still tight in his clutches until he stood in front of the throne and knelt before the powerful figure in front of him. A woman wearing a black gothic style dress with a vail over her face sat on the throne and stared down at the guard and spoke with power booming in her voice. "Thank you. Deliver it to me now." The guard arose on his feet and approached the woman and handed her the letter before he promptly took his leave.
The woman opened the envelope carefully and diligently read its contents. As her eyes scanned the page, her blank face turned into a twisted expression as she let out a sinister chuckle. "The Vatican did our job for us. Apparently, they believe they've discovered the name and location of our lost king. His name is Jaden Yuki and he attends the prestigious Duel Academy. We shouldn't keep our king waiting any longer. Daughter… Come to me at once." Stepping out from the shadows stood a girl who wore a similar garb to her mother. She wore a black frilly style dress and her hair was the color of lilac that was tied into two high pig tails. "I want you to go to this Duel Academy and find our dear king. It's about time we brought him back home." The girl bowed her head and faded back into the shadows.
It had been about a week since Aster told Jaden and his friends about the secretive White Devil Project and they still hadn't found any new information about it. But they were able to win back a handful of their fellow classmates that were being controlled by the Light Of Destruction.
"Damnit!" Yelled Jaden as he fell flat on his butt having lost yet another practice battle between him and the headmaster. "You're too strong! How am I supposed to grow when you won't even hold back on me?!" He stood up and popped his shoulder back into place that had been dislocated. Chancellor Sheppard stood on the opposite side of the arena with a saber in his hand. "If I held back then you wouldn't have anything to learn. You're powerful but you keep pulling back your punches. I can count a total of twenty times where you had an opportunity to strike me down but you ignored all of them." Jaden still sat on the ground as he tried to catch this breath. "I don't want to hurt you. If I went all out, I'm scared of what I'll do." Chancellor Sheppard walked up to him and gave him a helping hand to stand back up.
'And that's why I'm training you so that you don't lose control. And in the thick of battle you have no time to worry about friend or foe. If this wasn't just practice and I was someone who was actually trying to kill you, then you shouldn't hold back. Remember, when we have these sessions I am playing the role of your enemy. But let's call it a day and we can continue tomorrow where we left off."
After Jaden's combat class ended, he left and went back to his dorm room where he flopped on his bed ready for a nap. "The headmaster must be running you ragged, huh Jay?" Jaden sighed as he sat up and went to their mini fridge where he had a stash of blood bags. He ripped one open and started drinking from it eagerly. They used to be able to take off most of the edge but ever since his powers matured, they only satiate his hunger for a couple of hours at a time.
"Seto Kaiba has been laying down the hammer when it comes to my training regimen. He wants me to be able to use my powers without having to rely on Haou when the going gets tough. But it's so damn hard! Especially when losing makes me angry.. It's hard to hold him back when my emotions are heightened." Said Jaden as he crumpled up the empty blood bag and threw it in the trash. "Well you should request some time off! They want you to be a weapon but you need to remind them that you're just a student! Besides, I miss my best friend being around. I feel like we haven't hung out in a while." Jaden looked at his friend with sadness in his eyes. Ever since Seto told him to stop pretending to be human, it's been hard for him to have quality time with any of his friends.
His fellow classmates regardless of them being mind controlled or not, all stared at him with great disdain whenever he walked the halls. Now that everyone knew his secret he was starting to be treated differently. He spends all day trying to avoid human contact and when the school day is over he spends the rest of it training with Chancellor Sheppard and hardly ever gets to hang out with his friends anymore. Jaden felt bad seeing how much his friends were missing him. "I'm sorry Syrus, you're right. I agree that I need a little break. I'm sure the headmaster wouldn't be too upset if I skip out on just one session, so let's go out and have some fun tomorrow, sound good?" Said Jaden with a wide optimistic smile on his face.
The next day at school Jaden and Syrus were walking to school together when they saw commotion by the docks. A boat had pulled up and a giant crowd of students were surrounding it with signs in their hands while they frantically cheered. "What do you think is going on over there?" Asked Syrus curiously. Jaden shrugged his shoulders as he kept walking. "Who knows. Maybe someone important came to the island." A student ran passed and accidentally knocked Syrus down but he stopped to help him up. "Sorry little dude! I didn't see you there!" Syrus stood up with a groan as he rubbed his tail bone. "Why the rush?" The student held up a magazine with the page turned to a photo of a girl with long lilac hair and as she posed in a bikini.
"How do you not know?! Anatasia Bronwyn just transferred into our school! She's a newcomer in the pro leagues and not to mention she's a popular idol! I'm running down there to see if I can get her autograph!" Jaden walked over to include himself in the conversation but as soon the student looked at him he stepped back in fear as he stared into Jaden's piercing red eyes. "A-anyways! I'll see you later! Bye Syrus!" The student then took off running as fast as he could.
Jaden frowned, yet another person who was scared of him. Syrus tugged on his arm to gain his attention back from the terrified student. "Just ignore him, Jay. He's just being ignorant. But let's hurry before we miss class!" Syrus pulled him along by the arm as they raced to their first period trying to beat the bell.
When they made it there they sat down and Alexis and Bastion both moved from their seats so that they could join them. "Good morning guys! Have you heard the wonderful news? The beautiful and amazing Anastasia is joining our class today! Can you believe it?!" Said Bastion as he opened up his blazer to reveal a shirt with her face on it surrounded by a giant heart. It turns out that Bastion was also another crazy fan boy.
Alexis rolled her eyes and scoffed. "You boys are something else. I don't see what's so popular about her. She's a good duelist but she's still a low ranking at silver. So what if she's pretty? There's a lot of pretty girls that go to this school." They all sweat dropped as they could sense the jealousy that was lingering in her words. Jaden grabbed her hand making her blush as he smiled her. "Well no one's more beautiful than you are so you have nothing to worry about. You're the real idol at this school don't forget that!" The two looked at each other and the atmosphere around them was absolutely gushing with romantic tension. Bastion and Syrus couldn't help but chuckle to themselves watching the unofficial power couple.
"You guys need to get a room or you're going to start making me feel all gushy too Jay." Said Syrus with a mocking expression as he tried to kiss Jaden on the cheek. Jaden pushed him off and wiped away the drool Syrus had left all over his cheek, his face was still a bright shade of red. "Knock it off Syrus!" Alexis watched them and couldn't stop herself from giggling. She was lucky that Jaden wasn't like the other guys who were drooling over this Anastasia girl and was open about his feelings for her. Why was she feeling jealous anyways?
The school bell rang causing everyone to become silent as their teacher walked up to the front of the class. "Good morning class. As you're all well aware we have yet another new student joining us today. She's a pro duelist and one of the many benefactors who help fund this school so I ask that you guys be on your best behavior. So without any further introductions, let's please give a warm welcome to Miss Anastasia Bronwyn." All the boys stood up eagerly to turn their heads towards the door thinking that's where she was going to appear from but the main stage in the front erupted with smoke and lasers almost like a miniature concert. When the smoke subsided, Anastasia stood up front wearing an Obelisk girls uniform and she stood in a cute pose.
"Hello hello! My name's Anastasia but please, call me Ana! I hope we all can become the best of friends!~Kapu!" She made a heart with her hands as she blew a kiss into the roaring crowd of students who were cheering her on. "Anastasia! I love you!" Said Bastion as he ripped his blazer open showing off his merch shirt. Jaden slapped his palm to his face out of embarrassment. "Tone it down a little Bastion. You're drawing too much attention over here."
Anastasia saw Bastion in the crowd and waved at him but her eyes snaked to Jaden who sat two seats down from him and her face lit up in a smile. "I found you! I can't believe it's actually you! That was too easy!" She jumped into the air and looked almost like she was floating in the air as she landed right in front of Jaden who sat back in his chair shocked. "You found me? What do you mean by that- Mm!" Jaden couldn't say anything else as she pressed his lips onto his forcing him into a one sided kiss. This caused everyone in the class to start screaming profanities out of anger and jealousy as Jaden kissed their idol right in front of all of them. Alexis sat right next to him as she glared daggers at the new girl and had murderous intent radiating off of her.
Anastasia stopped kissing him and giggled, seeing the flustered look on Jaden's face who stared at her in disbelief. "There's no doubt about it. Those eyes of yours are mesmerizing… You're our missing king we've been waiting for!" Jaden blinked for a moment processing what she said. "You've been looking for your king? Wait a minute… Don't tell me you're also a-" Anastasia pressed her finger to his lips stopping him from talking and shushed him. "Don't go spilling all of my secrets my lord. We have to keep some things a mystery." Jaden could hear Haou's laugh echoing in his mind, happy that someone was giving him the respect he rightfully deserved. "If you have any more questions for me then feel free to ask later. I'll answer any of the woes you have in that gorgeous head of yours." She said as she winked him and retreated to go take her seat.
While class went on, the student's whispered amongst themselves as they talked about Jaden behind his back. "I bet he used some freaky hypnotic spell on her to get her to fall in love with him. What a freak." "Maybe he made her a slave and that's why she's here! I can't think of any other reason she would do that!" "Why do we even have to be classmates with a monster like him? He could eat us all alive!" Jaden clutched his hands over his ears trying to drown out the noise. He wasn't a monster. They don't know anything about him!
Alexis grabbed his arm and squeezed it to bring him back to reality. "Ignore them Jaden. Just focus on me okay? Focus on your real friends." Jaden looked at her and softly smiled. He grabbed her by the hand and squeezed it just as tight. "Thanks Alexis. Who cares what they think about me anyways. You guys are what's important to me." The two again had that romantic atmosphere around them, and from across the room Anastasia couldn't stop staring at Alexis with hatred in her eyes. How dare a human woman try to seduce her precious king. It looked like she was going to have to take care of this problem before that temptress lured him deeper onto the wrong path.
Class finally ended and it was lunch time and Jaden and the gang were once again hanging out at their favorite spot on the schools roof. Alexis sat next to Jaden with her head resting on his shoulder as they ate. "That girl has some real nerve doing what she did. What was she thinking kissing someone else's boyfriend?" Jaden chuckled, "Since when was I your boyfriend? I thought you weren't going to call me that until we went on a real date." Alexis blushed but then wrapped her arm around his as she continued to lean on him. "Well things are different now… When I said that I didn't have some lunatic girl to worry about taking you away from me."
As Syrus ate his food he couldn't help but feel like something was missing. "As much as you guys have been flirting today, don't you feel like something is missing? Like some kind of unwanted interjection?" As they thought about it they all gasped when they realized they hadn't seen Chazz all day. "Now that you mention it, Chazz didn't come to class today. I wonder if he's alright." Said Jaden worriedly. "I'm sure Chazz is fine. Besides, it's nice to have a day without his constant shenanigans." Said Alexis who still closely snuggled up to Jaden.
"You know I can hear you guys. And don't think I've given up on Alexis, slacker! I'm just letting it slide today cause I was asked to carry out an important duty." Chazz out of nowhere was standing behind them wearing a fancy black business suit and black tinted sunglasses which he pushed high up on his nose. "I've been asked by Anastasia to be her new manager. My family has a lot of connections you know. I have to take this job seriously." Said Chazz proudly. Ever since his humiliating defeats against Jaden last school year he hadn't been in high regards with his family. So he was ecstatic to hear that his family was leaving the popular Anastasia in his hands.
"Jaden Yuki! I am so happy to see you again!" Jaden had no time to react when Anastasia walked out from behind Chazz and flung herself at him, pressing his face firmly between her breasts and smothering him. "You don't know how long I've waited for this day! I am honored that my king reincarnated during my lifetime! It's so exciting!" Jaden pulled himself away despite the girl's strong grip and gasped for air. "It's you again! You have a lot of explaining to do! Just what do you want from me?!"
Anastasia smiled innocently as she kneeled before him. "My name is Anastasia Bronwyn, and I am a vampire noble who was descended from the Supreme King's direct lineage. I was sent here to collect you and take you home, my lord." Everyone stared with their mouths agape. Could it be true that the infamous idol was also a vampire like Jaden?!
Jaden looked at the girl who knelt before him. "And who said that I would agree to go with you? I'm perfectly fine where I am, thank you." Anastasia looked back at him and maintained her innocent smile. "My mother made it very clear that you are too return home. So I'm afraid I can't accept no as answer, my lord. Of course I have no intention of taking you anywhere against your will! I'm not so foolish enough as to against the word of my king. But I won't leave this school without trying."
Alexis gripped onto Jaden ever much more possessively as the two females glared daggers between each other. "He has everything he needs right here! Sorry, but no one asked you to come. So do us a favor and head back from where you came from. Jaden is in good hands." Anastasia stared at Alexis and her eyes glossed over and became more sinister looking, but no one seemed to notice except for Jaden who could feel the increase of demonic pressure the purple haired girl was giving off.
"That's only for my king to decide. But I apologize, I didn't mean to intrude on your lovely evening. I hope you enjoy the rest of your lunch!~Kapu!" She said as she struck her signature pose making Bastion and Syrus fall over in love. "I will be seeing you later, Jaden Yuki. We still have much to discuss in private." She quickly left with Chazz chasing after her. Jaden glared at her as she ran away. "She seems innocent enough, but I can't help but have a bad feeling about her. If she's a noble like me then she has to be strong. I want you guys to be careful." Bastion waved his hand trying to dismiss Jaden's suspicions. "Stop worrying so much, old chum. She's a popular idol who seems to really care about her fans. If she was a threat to humans than why did she become a public icon?" Said Bastion with hearts in his eyes.
Jaden sighed. He really couldn't ignore the logic that Bastion had mentioned. If she didn't like humans then why become someone that all humans adored? It didn't make sense to him. But he couldn't ignore that murderous feeling that Anastasia was giving off. "Still, just be careful. I can't be everywhere to protect you all at once. I know I'm a good guy but we've never met another vampire like me before. We don't know what she's capable of."
Lunch finally ended and Jaden and Syrus decided to play hooky for the rest of the day so they could hang out like they discussed the night before. The two found themselves near the Duel Academy hot springs where they stuck their feet inside the soothing water to relax. "Now this feels good!" Said Jaden as he slunk back and let his body become jelly as the warm water massaged his aching feet. Despite his impressive regenerative ability, his intense training left his body feeling sore.
Syrus chuckled watching his best friend enjoy the hot springs but soon after his face fell into a frown. "Hey, Jaden? Do you plan on running away with that girl? She said she wasn't going to stop until she brought you back home with her… I would understand if you left, like if you were curious about your lineage, but I don't think I could stop myself from missing you." Jaden sat up and stared at his best friend who looked like he was close to tears. "No way Syrus! My family is here! She's a stranger to me anyways. It doesn't matter if she's a vampire like me. I would never ever leave my friends behind. So get that thought out of your head!" Said Jaden as he tackled Syrus and pulled him into a headlock making Syrus laugh and effectively stopping him from crying.
"You're right. I'm sorry Jaden. It's just been hard on all of us. I've lost you before and I just don't know what I'd do if I lost you again. When Haou took control I wondered if I'd ever see you again. And now there's another person threatening to do the same. Can you blame me from fearing what feels like the inevitable?" Jaden sat staring forward in silence. He didn't want to make any false promises to Syrus but there was still a chance that he would have to leave even if he didn't want to. Even his friends didn't like it, he was going to choose the decision that meant keeping them safe above anything else. But for now, he was comfortable with comforting his best friend and telling him what he wanted to hear. "I promise Syrus. I am not going anywhere."
Alexis was still back at school, having stayed back to do some volunteer work with her friend Jasmine in the school's cafeteria. They both offered to help Dorothy prep food for the school the next morning. "Thank you girls so much! I'm glad you haven't turned bad like these Society Of Light fellows. My truck broke down this morning and a group of them walked by and didn't even to offer me help. Can you believe that?"
The two girls continued helping by making sandwiches and rice balls for the lunch menu tomorrow. "Don't mention it Miss Dorothy. We're happy to help. Those of us who are still free need to stick together, right?" Said Alexis as she used her forearm to wipe sweat that started to drip from her forehead. Dorothy looked at the clock and saw that is nearly 6pm. "I'm sorry girls but I kept you here longer than I intended! Both of you head home, I can take care of the rest of the preparations myself. You were a big help today!" The two girls said their goodbyes and hung up their aprons and grabbed their backpacks and left the cafeteria, making their way back to the girls Obelisk Dorms.
"You're going to have to walk the rest of the way yourself Alexis. I forgot that I promised to mail Mindy all of her missing assignments since she's living with her folks right now. I'll see you later!" Said Jasmine as she took off running back to the school to pick up their absent friends school work. Alexis sighed; she didn't want Jasmine to leave her alone. Ever since they had their encounter with Anastasia on the roof she had a nagging feeling that someone was watching her all day.
As she continued to walk, the sun slowly started to set until there was barely any day light left. The road she was walking on was beginning to turn dark and it was hard for her to see anything in front of her. "Your name's Alexis Rhodes, is it not?" Said Anastasia who was appeared in front of her blocking off the path towards the dormitories. The lilac haired beauty had her bangs covering her eyes as she slowly started to approach Alexis who began to back up in fear of the girl in front of her.
Anastasia continued to slowly approach Alexis until her back was pressed against a tree and she had nowhere else to escape too. "You have some nerve being so close to my king. You're just some witch that has my lord underneath your trance. No way would my king choose to love a human over trusting one of his own kind. Well two can play at that game." Anastasia opened her mouth and let out a belting ghoulish scream loud enough to shatter glass causing Alexis to huddle down and cover her ears which began to bleed from the intense sound.
When the screaming stopped, Alexis could barely hear anything but the metallic ringing in her head that was making her feel woozy. But she decided to keep on a brave face as she looked at the angry vampire and smirked. "Are you jealous that Jaden is choosing me, a human, over you? You're pathetic. That sweat girl you pretend be around everyone is just an act, isn't it?" Anastasia tensed up as a dark aura enveloped her body like a hurricane and her hair that was tied neatly into two pigtails furled out and floated gnarly around her. She wickedly smiled showing off her two sharp fangs and when she looked up, her eyes were red and slitted just like Jaden's, but they looked more lifeless as they glared at Alexis with anger. It was like a different girl than the one they had met before was standing in front of her.
"You saw right threw my act since we first met, huh? It's true. I could care less about humans. Such as the food chain goes, you are nothing but a meal to us. So a cow like you has no purpose being with my king!" Alexis didn't see the attack coming when a cut appeared on her cheek, causing her to bleed. Next to her head was a dagger shaped object that was stuck in the tree trunk behind her. When she followed the hilt of the blade with her eyes, she saw that it was actually apart of Anastasias hair that had transformed into a weapon. At this point, Alexis admitted to herself that she was terrified by the monster in front of her.
"You like my little trick? I can transform parts of my body into metal, and even reform it into any shape I want. Neat, huh? That alone proves how much more evolved I am compared to a primitive being like you!" Another piece of her hair turned into a sharp knife which she used to slice at Alexis who was able to duck underneath it, but the blow caused the tree behind her to be completely cut in half as if her hair was a hot knife slicing through butter. Alexis stood up and instinctively bolted trying to run away from the ferocious beast that wanted her dead.
Anastasia tilted her head back and belt out a sinister gut wrenching laugh. "I love it when my pray runs! Your fear makes your blood that much tastier to enjoy! Run little piggy, because I'm coming for you!" Said the enraged vampire girl who continued her pursuit on her target. Alexis continued to run deeper into the forest, not knowing exactly where she was going. She didn't want to look back knowing that the vampire was still hot on her trail and she could hear her evil laughter echoing all around her with every turn she took.
She eventually found herself at a dead end when she abruptly stopped because of the cliff that she unfortunately found herself stuck at. She looked around for another route but there was no other escape route. She was trapped. "I found youuu." Said Anastasia in a sing song voice who appeared into the clearing from the shroud of trees.
Jaden and Syrus were still enjoying the water of the hot springs when he tilted his head up into the air and sniffed it, smelling an all too familiar aroma. His is widened in fear as he abruptly stood up and put his shoes back on and ran towards the smell with Syrus following behind him but was slowly losing pace because of Jaden's inhuman speed. "Jaden wait up! Where are you going?!" Jaden continued to run not responding. He knew the smell of that blood and it was Alexis's. He had no time to answer, all he could think about was getting to her as soon as possible before it was too late.
Alexis fell on the ground with her body covered in cuts and her uniform torn to shreds, revealing her skin and her undergarments. Anastasia slowly walked towards her while Alexis continued to crawl back, but as she scooted back she felt her hand touch nothing, and when she looked back she saw she was right on the edge of the cliff and staring death in the face. The blood drained from her face as fear overtook her and she could feel her impending doom approaching.
Anastasia was now only a few feet away from her with all of her daggers pointed at Alexis, ready to strike at a moment's notice. She grinned from ear to ear showing off her fangs as her red eyes glowed in the moonlight. She looked completely unhinged and nothing like the girl who had all the male students wrapped around her finger. "I've had my fun with you, so I think I'll go ahead and end your suffering. Now be a good little piggy and lay still so I can slaughter you!"
Alexis screamed and shielded her face as the knives flew at her and waited for the pain to come, but it never did. When she opened her eyes Jaden was standing in front of her with both of the daggers in each of his hands. He had stopped her attack by grabbing ahold of her hair. Jaden glared at the girl with his eyes glowing as much as the other vampires and they were stuck in stalemate. Anastasia gritted her teeth and pulled her weapons back and watched as Jaden walked over to Alexis and took of his jacket to drape over her shoulders to help cover herself.
He had a sad yet comforting smile as he looked at the woman he loved who was trembling in fear before him. "I'm sorry I'm late. You rest up, I'll take it from here." Jaden turned back to Anastasia who stood there staring at him with rage building inside of her. "Maybe my mother was mistaken. There is no way in hell that our king would be a pathetic human lover like you! Jaden Yuki, it's time for you to DIE!" She opened her mouth and let out another banshee scream aimed right at them. Alexis felt as her body began to float off the ground and she screamed afraid she was about to be blown off the cliff when Jaden held her in his arms like a princess and jumped out of the way of the attack. Jaden gently put her down in a safer spot and when he stood back up, his own dark aura started swirling around his body with his bangs covering his eyes.
His aura was so strong that Anastasia had to use her blades to anchor herself to the ground unless she would be blown away from the force. "What is this incredible power?!" Jaden started walking towards her while looking down at the ground. "You wanted to meet your king? Well, he's right here you impotent fool." When Jaden looked up his eyes were the soulless golden orbs that belonged to his darker half. Jaden became so enraged that Haou had resurfaced, and his anger was so strong that even Haou was affected by it and felt the anger as his own.
Anastasia aimed her daggers at Haou who continued to trudge towards her without a care in the world. "DON'T COME ANY CLOSER! I'LL KILL YOU!" She shot her daggers towards him yet again and Haou side stepped one successfully and grabbed the other with his hand and wrapped it around his arm pulling her in. Anastasia tried to stop herself by digging her heels into the ground but Haou's immense strength was pulling her along as if she weighed nothing.
Eventually, she was face to face him and she could feel her soul leaving her body as she stared into the golden eyes of the Supreme King who sneered down at her showing off his own fangs. As she stared into his soulless eyes, she felt all her strength leave her body. It was like a true monster stood before her as she could see his dark energy swirl behind him and take the form of a terrifying beast that hovered over her, threatening to eat her. "What's wrong little one? Never seen a real vampire before?" Haou wound his arm back and punched her in the stomach causing her to spit up her blood and the force blew her back crashing into rows of trees until her body dug into the ground a good fifty feet away. As Anastasia tried to regain her footing, Haou appeared above her in neck breaking speed, and before she could stand back up he pulled his leg high above his head and drove it down onto her, causing the earth beneath their feet to crack creating a giant crater.
Anastasia could feel all of her ribs break and she was barely clinging to her conscious but let out a scream when Haou plunged his hand into her chest and gripped at her heart, threatening to rip it out. "Is this really all my descendants have to offer? You're so weak it makes me want to laugh. And you dare call yourself a noble?" Anastasia started to cry and began to grovel as she feared for her life that he could easily take from her. "Please my king! Forgive me! I merely wanted to save you from that witches hold on you! I was just trying to save you!" She screamed out in pain yet again as she could feel his grip on her heart begin to tighten. "Don't insult me to my face. I don't need your saving." He pulled his hand out causing her to release a gasp of relief, and her wounds were very slowly starting to heal.
Haou turned to leave her when she sat up with tears streaming down her face. "My lord, how can you be in love with a human?! You are disgracing your status as our leader!" Haou stopped in his tracks as his mind had flashes of the woman called Sepheria and he clenched his fists. "Who said I was in love with her? My other half sure… But me? I'm in the same boat as you. I want to see the humans of this world bend to my will. But as long as Jaden considers her important, she is important to me. If you value your life than I advise you don't pull a stunt like this ever again. Or next time, I won't be so merciful and you can kiss your life goodbye."
Haou walked over to Alexis who had passed out from her wounds and carefully picked her up and started carrying her towards the school's infirmary to get her injuries treated. Alexis began to stir in his arms and when she opened up her eyes she could she Jaden's figure looming over her. "Jaden? Did you beat her?" She pulled her hand up to stroke his face, making Haou stare down at her with his terrifying golden eyes causing Alexis to stop touching him. "H-Haou? You protected me?"
He didn't say anything as he continued walking to the infirmary and when he got there, he handed her off to the nurse who immediately made space for her on a bed. He laid her down on the bed and tucked her into the sheets while pulling the blanket over her body to help keep her warm. "Rest now." Haou turned to leave when Alexis grabbed him by his shirt sleeve making him stop to stare at her over his shoulder. "Haou? Thank you for saving me." She said as she smiled warmly at him before she passed out again. He didn't say anything as he pulled his arm away and continued to leave.
