Tess and Matt had prepared an early dinner tonight. While everyone ate, I stayed upstairs in my room. I wasn't hungry because I knew I would be throwing up soon anyways. Tess told me it was fine to be around everyone but I just wasn't comfortable with that in this form. My back leg was twitching a lot too and I didn't want to be caught in the middle of changing in front of everyone.
Derek came into my room, "Hey, how are you doing?"
I huffed and looked over at my twitching leg.
"Changing back soon?" He sat down beside me.
I rested my head against his knee, I didn't want to go through it again. It hurt so bad.
"I'm here for you this time. I promise," Derek put his hand on my back.
And Derek was there for me. His hand never left mine the entire change back to human. Even when I tried to avert my face from his view as it changed. I bit holes into my comforter trying to stay quiet, I didn't want everyone downstairs to know what was going on. I couldn't hear Derek but I knew he was talking me through it.
After half an hour or so, I laid on the bed human. Wrapped in my comforter. Derek ran his hand slowly through my sweat soaked hair.
"You did good," he said softly. "Its all over with now."
Tears mixed with the sweat, "I don't ever want to go through that again."
"I'm so sorry for doing this to you."
I looked up at him, "Don't say sorry. It brought me closer to you."
"What do you mean?" He asked caught off guard.
"I get to feel what you feel. You're not alone anymore."
"What if I preferred being alone?" Derek asks. Thought I could tell he wasn't being serious.
"Then it sucks to be you because you're stuck with me," I smiled.
Derek wiped the tears from my eyes and tucked the comforter tighter around me before picking me up.
"What're you doing?"
"Taking you to the bathroom to shower so you can rest," Derek said.
Derek set me down in bathroom. He said he would grab clothes for me and leave them on the door handle so I wouldn't have to stay bundled in a comforter.
"But its comfortable," I told him.
Derek rolled his eyes at my play on words and left to get me clothes.
I stepped into a steaming shower. The hot water felt good on my sore muscles. I didn't wash up very much in my shower, I just enjoyed the heat for a good ten minutes or so.
I stepped out and hanging from the door handle was some clothes in a plastic bag. I don't know why it took my this long to piece it together but Derek had to go through my drawers to find my clothes. I turned crimson thinking about the undergarments Tess bought me. She told me that I needed adult clothing and refused to buy anything that wasn't hot or sexy enough for her approval.
I opened the bag to see what Derek brought, a pair of black sweatpants, black and yellow ankle socks. So far so good. A dark red tank top. Alright good. A blue thong and pink leopard print bra. Crap. My crimson face returned I was so embarrassed.
I slid the bra, socks, and underwear on first. As I towel dried my hair some, I looked in the mirror. Tess was right that these were sexy, though maybe not paired together. I realized how snug I fit into the new bra. Again Tess was right about my figure after changing. My curves had gotten much better. I slipped on the sweatpants and tank top; cleavage was noticeable. There was no hiding my improved figure.
New figure or not, my muscles were going to be sore for a few days. Changing species twice is no easy feat.
I brushed my hair back and grabbed the comforter, speed walking back to my room before I ran into anyone. I opened the door to find Derek and Simon talking.
"Oh, didn't mean to interrupt," I went to step back out. I hadn't expected anyone because I didn't see the light on under the door. The light bulb was dying and barely lit the room so it didn't shine under the door.
"You're not interrupting, its your bedroom," Simon pointed out. his gaze swept over me as I tossed the comforter down and then quickly went to an invisible object in his hands. He was trying not to check me out.
I stepped in and shut the door behind me, "Fair enough."
I looked over at Derek, he saw my gaze on him and quickly looked away clearing his throat. He'd noticed too that I wasn't a tiny little girl anymore. I bet if the room was lit better, I would see bright red faces. I walked in and sat down on Tori's bed across from them.
"So what're we walking about?"
"I just came up to see how you were doing. I didn't know you already changed back."
"I tried to keep it quiet," I admitted. "I don't need a crowd."
I noticed a bag next to me on the bed.
"Who's is this?" I asked. Thinking that maybe the boys were condensing down to my room. I didn't need a room this big to myself, especially with the full house.
"Your aunt's," Derek said annoyed. "She's demanded to be in your room to make sure you don't pull any antics at night with one of us."
I let out a noise of frustration, "Of course."
"Well duh of course. I'm here to keep an eye on you," Aunt Lauren said as she opened the door and stepped in. "Now Chloe, you know the rules of having boys in your room with the door shut."
"You're serious?" I laughed.
Aunt Lauren crossed her arms and nodded.
"We're on separate beds," I pointed out. "You can't treat me like I'm ten."
"I'll treat you however I want," Aunt Lauren responded. "I'm in charge of you."
"You want to start that again," Derek growled.
"Do not speak to me mutt," Aunt Lauren spat.
I stood up and snapped back at her, "No! You will not speak to him that way! Or so help me god I will walk out that door again!"
"Chloe," she was shocked. "How dare you yell at me. You need a serious attitude adjustment."
I growled at her, "What are you going to do about it?"
"Just you wait and see," Aunt Lauren said before storming out and slamming the door.
"She's got nothing," I said and sat between the boys. I grabbed both of their hands, "No one is breaking us apart."
They both nodded and squeezed my hands, agreeing. I was finally understanding werewolf packs on a deeper level. I would do anything to stay with these guys. I would do anything to protect them.
