Chapter 15
The Doctor pointed the recharging Tardis power cell at the Cybermen who got bent backwards and destroyed by the golden energy.
Ricky blinked in confusion. "What the hell was that?"
"We'll have that instead. Run!" The Doctor said as he began to move quickly.
Mrs. Moore sounded the van horn. "Everybody, in!"
Gwendalyn moved quickly, running knowing that they needed to get the hell out of dodge and not turn back.
"I've got to go back. My wife's in there." Pete snapped at the Doctor as he stopped him from going back inside.
"Anyone inside that house is dead. If you want to help, then don't let her die for nothing. You've got to come with us right now."
"Come on! Get a move on!" Mrs. Moore yelled trying to get everyone moving.
"Rose, she's not your mother." The Doctor said looking at the blonde haired girl.
"I know." Rose sniffled softly.
"Come on."
"Finished chatting? Never seen a slower getaway in my life!"
They ended up quickly getting to the van.
Gwendalyn leaned back in the seat letting out a soft breath running her hand through her hair.
They drove off quickly getting away from the legions of Cybermen that were on the move.
"What was that thing?" Ricky questioned catching his breath.
"Little bit of technology from my home." The Doctor said, looking over at Ricky.
"It's stopped glowing. Has it run out?" Mickey questioned slightly concerned what was happening. Would they be able to get home?
"It's on a revitalizing loop. It'll charge back up in about four hours."
"Right. So, we don't have a weapon anymore." Ricky said, rubbing his mouth.
Gwen scoffed, leaning against Ricky. "Yeah, we've got weapons. Might not be one of those metal things, but they're good enough for men like him." She said, narrowing her eyes at Pete.
Rose blinked a few times seeing two Gwendalyns. But the one leaning on Ricky had short choppy hair. "Leave him alone. What's he done wrong?"
"Oh, you know, just laid a trap that's wiped out the Government and left Lumic in charge." Gwen said as she rested her head on Ricky's shoulder taking a tired breath.
"If I was part of all that, do you think I'd leave my wife inside?" Pete questioned looking at them.
"Maybe your plan went wrong. Still gives us the right to execute you, though." Ricky said, placing a soft kiss on Gwen's head knowing that she was exhausted from running.
"Talk about executions, you'll make me your enemy. And take some really good advice. You don't want to do that." The Doctor said, shaking his head lightly.
"All the same, we have evidence that says Pete Tyler's been working for Lumic since twenty point five." Ricky said, moving Gwen onto his lap holding onto her as she snuggled up to him.
"Is that true?" Rose questioned looking over at Pete.
"Tell them, Mrs M." Ricky said with a wave of his hand.
"We've got a government mole who feeds us information. Lumic's private files, his South American operations, the lot. Secret broadcasts twice a week." Moore explained to them.
"Broadcast from Gemini?" Pete questioned looking up at them.
"And how do you know that?" Gwen questioned lifting her head up off of Ricky's shoulder looking at Pete.
"I'm Gemini. That's me."
"Yeah, well you would say that." Ricky said, rolling his eyes not wanting to trust this man. So much had happened and he had been working closely with the enemy.
"Encrypted wavelength six five seven using binary nine. That's the only reason I was working for Lumic. To get information. I thought I was broadcasting to the Security Services. What do I get? Scooby Doo and his gang. They've even got the van."
"No, no, no. But the Preachers know what they're doing. Ricky said he's London's Most Wanted." Mickey blinked a few times.
"Yeah, that's not exactly…"
"Not exactly what?"
"He's London's Most Wanted for parking tickets." Gwen said, shaking her head lightly.
"Great." Pete said, shaking his head.
"Yeah, they were deliberate. I was fighting the system. Park anywhere, that's me."
"Good policy. I do much the same. I'm the Doctor, by the way, if anyone's interested."
"And I'm Rose. Hello."
"Even better. That's the name of my dog. Still, at least I've got the catering staff on my side." Pete said, looking at the two of them.
"I knew you weren't a traitor." Rose said with a smile.
"Why is that, then?"
"I just did."
"They took my wife."
"She might still be alive."
"That's even worse. Because that's what Lumic does. He takes the living and he turns them into those machines."
"Cybermen. They're called Cybermen. And I'd take those ear pods off, if I were you. You never know. Lumic could be listening." The Doctor said zapping the ear pods with his sonic screwdriver. "But he's overreached himself. He's still just a businessman. He assassinated the President. All we need to do is get to the city and inform the authorities. Because I promise you, this ends tonight."
"Wait… if Ricky isn't London's most wanted… then who is?" Mickey questioned rather concerned.
Gwen let out a soft laugh. "I was hoping someone would figure it out." She said with a cheeky grin. "I'm London's Most Wanted… and not in parking tickets either."
Ricky grinned letting out a soft laugh. "Yeah my girl here is actually London's Most Wanted."

Jake peaked out of their hiding spot. "What the hell?"
"What's going on?" Rose questioned noticing that people were walking around like zombies.
"Oh… that can't be good." Gwendalyn said, nibbling on her lower lip softly.
"It's the ear-pods. Lumic's taken control." The Doctor said letting out a soft breath.
"Can't we just, I don't know, take them off?" Rose questioned concerned.
"Don't! Cause a brainstorm. Human race. For such an intelligent lot, you aren't half susceptible. Give anyone a chance to take control and you submit. Sometimes I think you like it. Easy life."
"Hey, Come and see." Jake said as around the corner were some more people and a squad of Cybermen.
"Where are they all going?" Rose questioned softly, peeking out and looking.
"I don't know. Lumic must have a base of operations."
"Battersea. That's where he was building his prototypes." Pete pointed out softly knowing where they were headed off to.
"Why's he doing it?" Rose questioned softly, concerned of what could possibly happen.
"He's dying. This all started out as a way of prolonging life, of keeping the brain alive at any cost."
"The thing is, I've seen Cybermen before, haven't I? The head. Those handle shapes in Van Statten's museum."
"Ah, there are Cybermen in our universe. They started on an ordinary world just like this, then swarmed across the galaxy. This lot are a parallel version, and they're starting from scratch right here on Earth." The Doctor explained to Rose.
"What the hell are you two on about?" Pete questioned looking at the two of them.
"Never mind that. Come on, we need to get out of the city. Okay, split up. Mrs Moore, you look after that bloke. Jake, distract them. Go right, I'll go left. We'll meet back at Bridge Street. Move." Ricky said softly looking down at Gwen.
"Oh no you're not leaving without me." Gwen said, looking up at her boyfriend. "I'm coming with you."
"I'm going with him." Mickey said, kissing Rose softly on the lips.
"I'm going with him." Gwendalyn said softly, looking up at the Doctor.
The Doctor swallowed the lump in his throat. He hated the fact that she was willingly putting herself into danger to protect Mickey. "Alright. Come back safely."
"Don't I always?" She questioned with a wink before quickly following Mickey, Ricky, and Gwen away from the others.

Mickey slowed looking around with his brows furrowed together. "Which way? I don't know where we are."
"Did they see us?" Ricky questioned softly.
"Do they know where we are?"
"I think they saw us. I bet they can see in the dark."
"I bet they've got satellites."
"I bet they saw us in the dark."
"They know where we are." Both of them said at the same time.
Gwendalyn and Gwen watched with amused looks upon their faces.
Ricky looked at Mickey. "I don't get it. What is it with you? You are exactly like me."
"I don't know, I reckon you're braver." Mickey said with a shrug of his shoulders.
"Oh yeah, ten times. Still, your friends aren't bad. I'll give you that." Ricky said with a nod of his head.
"Oh, that's the Doctor and Rose. And Gwendalyn who came with us. I just tag along behind."
"Well, then, you're not that bad."
"Do you think?"
"Yeah, I suppose."
"Shhh." Gwendalyn said, putting her finger up to her lips trying to shush them.
"Cybermen." Mickey said softly.
"Split up!" The two boys said at the same time.
DWDWDW
The four of them ended up on opposite sides of a tall chain-link fence.
The Cybermen were right behind Ricky and Gwen.
"Go Gwen." Ricky said, pushing her up the fence to try to get her out.
Gwen landed on the other side nervously gnawing on her lower lip.
"Come on! Come on! Come on!" Mickey called out to him.
"Ricky come on… I can't do this alone without you." Gwen said as tears came to her eyes.
"Do what without me, sweetheart?" Ricky questioned as he began to climb the fence.
"We're going to be a family…"
A Cyberman grabbed onto Ricky's ankle and electrocuted him.
"No!"
Gwendalyn grabbed onto Gwen to stop her from going back over the fence.
Mickey stared at the Cyberman in silence before turning and grabbing both of the women's hands and they were off again.
"I'm sorry about Ricky, Gwen." Gwendalyn said softly as they ran to try to get out of dodge of the Cybermen.
"He was going to be a daddy." Gwen said softly as tears slid down her cheeks. "He'll never get to see them…"
"But you can honor Ricky's memory by living and surviving."
The three of them arrived on one of the streets hearing Jake talking.
"I ran past the river. You should have seen it. The whole city's on the march. Hundreds of Cybermen all down the Thames." Jake said panting trying to catch his breath.
Mickey, Gwen, and Gwendalyn ran up to them.
Jake looked at Mickey. "Here he is! Which one are you?"
"I'm sorry. The Cybermen. He couldn't." Mickey said softly.
"Are you Ricky? Are you Ricky?"
"Mickey, that's you, isn't it?" Rose questioned softly.
"Yeah."
Rose hugged Mickey tightly in her arms.
"He tried. He was running. There were too many of them."
Jake narrowed his eyes. "Shut it."
"There was nothing I could do."
"I said just shut it. Don't even talk about him. You're nothing, you are. Nothing."
"We can mourn him when London is safe. But now, we move on." The Doctor said letting out a breath.
"Jake, that wasn't very kind of you." Gwen said sniffling softly as tears slid down her cheeks.
DWDWDW
The Doctor looked over to the Battersea Power Station letting out a soft breath. "The whole of London's been sealed off, and the entire population's been taken inside that place. To be converted."
"We've got to get in there and shut it down." Rose said softly crossing her arms nervously gnawing on her lower lip softly.
"How do we do that?" Mickey questioned looking over at the Doctor.
"Oh, I'll think of something."
"You're just making this up as you go along."
"Yep. But I do it brilliantly."
Gwendalyn rolled her eyes. "Honestly you think that you're patting yourself on the back about doing this by the seat of your pants. It isn't something to be proud of, Doctor." Gwendalyn snapped, crossing her arms looking at him with narrowed eyes.
The Doctor looked over seeing how angry that Gwendalyn was. He knew that he needed to talk to her before things got even more out of hand.
Gwendalyn walked out of the room keeping her arms wrapped around herself as she went into another room to have peace and quiet.
The Doctor sucked a breath through his teeth and looked at Rose and Mickey. "I'll be right back."
Rose blinked a few times, feeling anger surge through her body as she watched the Doctor go into the other room with Gwendalyn. She didn't understand why the Doctor kept going after Gwendalyn more than he went after anyone else.
The Doctor pursed his lips together as he saw Gwendalyn whip around to look at him.
"What the bloody hell are you following me for?" She snapped looking at him.
"Mis please…"
"Don't Mis me, Theta." She said letting out a huff.
"I know you're still angry with me."
"Oh you got it through your thick skull that I'm angry with you?" Gwendalyn said, looking away from him.
"And you have every right to be angry with me."
"You let Reinette kiss you when you shouldn't have. Don't you know how seriously we take our engagements, Doctor in our home world? It's a binding contract. You don't do stuff like that." Gwendalyn said as tears slid down her cheek in anger. "The only one that hadn't noticed that we were fighting was Rose, but Mickey noticed. He kept telling me that you will talk to me." Gwendalyn shook her head. "I told him that you pretty much made your choice."
The Doctor walked up to her putting his hand onto her shoulder squeezing it lightly. "I don't want to give you up, Mis."
Gwendalyn looked up at him letting out a soft huff. "You don't want to give me up, then why have another person kiss you? Please tell me…"
"It would make her feel bad if she kissed me and I pushed her away."
"You do it every time even when we traveled together years ago." Gwendalyn said softly, shaking her head. "I don't know why I thought you would change."
The Doctor swallowed the lump in his throat. "You don't want to be with me?"
"That's not what I said, Theta."
The Doctor sucked a breath through his teeth. "Right, of course."
"I just want you to trust me… and apologize to me when something like that happens… Don't wait days to apologize to me."
The Doctor ran his hand through her hair, smoothing it out. "I promise." He said softly.
"I'm holding you to it." She said softly looking up into his brown eyes. "If not I'm blasting your arse with magic until you apologize to me."
The Doctor swallowed the lump in his throat. "I'm going to keep that in mind." His hand went to the pocket that still held the ring.
"Let me guess you've been carrying the ring around."
The Doctor looked up at her and nodded his head. "Yes."
Gwendalyn let out a soft breath as she looked up at him. "Alright… I only gave it to you to remind you that there is a woman that still loves you no matter what. No matter if you were stuck in another timeline…"
The Doctor stroked her cheek softly with his hand. He carefully then reached into his pocket and pulled the ring out. "Do I have to ask you again?"
Gwendalyn shook her head lightly. "No."
The Doctor carefully picked up her left hand and carefully put it back onto her finger. He placed a soft kiss onto her hand before squeezing it softly. "I love you."
Gwendalyn looked up into his brown eyes. "And I will always love you, Theta."

This is the end of Chapter 15. I hope that you guys enjoyed this chapter. I of course had to split this chapter up which kind of sucks, but I had a feeling that I was going to have to split this episode up to make sure that the chapter wasn't so long. Please leave a review and let me know what you think of this chapter. I'm going to try my best to update next week with a brand new chapter. Until next time.
