Chapter 6: Prank Wars
"Last time on Totally Epic, we saw just how strong the contestants stomachs were in an exotic food eating contest. Some lost their lunch, others had no problem. The Platinum Eagles took victory and the Titanium Tigers sent home Benneth. Who'll win this challenge, who'll go home next? Find out now on Totally Epic!" Monica announced.
The teens were eating their breakfast, and talking about the show.
"I can't believe we're now in the final ten." said Magdalena.
"I can't believe I made it here." added Jaime.
"I wonder who'll win?" wondered Dixie.
"Who knows?" replied Conrad.
"Hmm, who could it be?" thought Hayley.
"You guys were great in yesterday's challenge." complimented Joshua.
"Thanks." replied Yasmine.
"Yeah, thanks, but don't bring up any of the food again." begged Caleb.
"No problem. I had a good time though." Madison piped up.
"I hope we win again." added Zachary.
Then Monica walked inside.
"Good morning, contestants. We're now down to the final ten. Congratulations to you all."
"I can't believe I'm here. I never thought I'd get this far." Yasmine told the camera.
"Final ten, man it takes a lot to get here." said Conrad.
"Now a little announcement before we begin today's challenge, we're going to jazz things up a bit."
"What does she mean by that?" asked Zachary.
"This challenge is going to be boys vs. girls."
That got their attention.
"Boys, move to the Platinum Eagles' table, girls to the Titanium Tiger's."
The teens did so, and then waited for Monica's further instructions.
"Today's challenge is a classic, pranks. You'll be competing in a prank war against each other."
"Just great. I hate pranks." Jaime complained. "Everything about them."
"Pulling pranks on the boys? Sounds like fun." Madison told the camera.
"Here's how the war will work. Hailey?"
Co-hostess Hailey came in, wheeling a portable white board.
"You'll be pranking each other all day, and it'll end at sundown. Each type of prank will given a different number of points. Simple pranks will be worth five, more complex ones are worth ten, and really big ones will be worth fifteen. At the end of the day we'll add up the points, and whichever team has the most wins." Monica explained.
"Now the prank war starts...now." said Co-hostess Hailey.
The teens then went to their respective trailers and discussed their ideas for pranks.
"So anyone have any ideas?" asked Joshua.
"First I should just say, that I hate pulling pranks." Jaime piped up.
"Then could you at least think of some ideas?" wondered Zachary.
"I can try."
"How about we do a classic plastic wrap on the toilets?" suggested Conrad.
"That's a good one." complimented Caleb.
In the girls' trailer they were discussing their prank ideas.
"I say we do a classic falling bucket prank." thought Magdalena.
"But what would we fill it with? Water?" questioned Yasmine.
"No, we need something more than that." Dixie told her.
"I think I know just the thing." Madison mentioned.
And so the pranking began. Hayley was going to the bathroom, just minding her own business, but when she got back up she was met with a gross surprise.
"Eww." she groaned.
"Gotcha." called a voice from outside.
She went outside, and saw a Conrad and Joshua laughing.
"Plastic wrap on the toilet. Five points go to the guys." Monica told them.
"All right." cheered Conrad, and the two high fived.
Yasmine and Magdalena were watching from a distance.
"Looks like we gotta turn it up a notch." Magdalena told her.
"Yep." agreed Yasmine.
Later on Caleb was going to get snack, and when he stepped into the mess building a bucket fell on his head. But instead of getting drenched with water, he got covered in mayo.
"What the...?"
Madison and Dixie appeared laughing.
"Hey, Caleb, you got something on ya." Dixie teased.
Co-hostess Hailey appeared and saw the scene.
"Nice one girls, five points for your team."
"You're gonna pay for this." Caleb told them.
And the pranks kept going on. Hayley was a little tired after her workout, and decided to lie down. But when she lied on her bed, she noticed it felt weird. She got up, pulled up the blanket, and saw that it was covered in dirt and worms.
The guys gained ten points. Then Zachary and Conrad were just taking a stroll, when they suddenly walked into something. It was cold, sticky, and he seemed to be stuck. They opened their eyes, and saw they'd walked into some plastic wrap, covered in honey and sesame seeds.
The two managed to get out of the wrap, but then some birds began pecking at the seeds stuck to them. As they tried to shoo away the birds, they heard laughter. All the girls were laughing at them.
Monica came and saw the scene.
"Good one, ladies. Ten points for you."
"Gee, these pranks are kinda fun to pull." Hayley confessed.
Before lunch the teams had a meeting in their trailers.
"That was a good idea with the plastic wrap and honey, Yasmine." complimented Madison.
"Thanks." Yasmine replied.
"What else can we do?" wondered Hayley.
"Hmm, how about we steal their clothes and dye them pink?" suggested Dixie.
"That's a good one." Magdalena told her.
"Hey, I think I have an idea." said Madison.
And they all went into a huddle. In the guys' trailer they discussed their plans.
"We need to step up the game, guys." said Caleb.
"Don't ask me for ideas." Jaime informed.
The guys rolled their eyes.
"I think I've got one." piped up Conrad.
A while later, the teams put their pranks in action. At first they did small pranks. Hayley sat on a whoopie cushion. Joshua got a shock from a joy buzzer. Dixie and Magdalena were walking when they got pelted with water balloons.
Zachary sat on a chair that was covered in glue and got stuck. Madison was about to eat some chocolates, but found they'd been replace with beetles. And Jaime got a pie in the face.
Before the day ended, they were all gathered together by Monica.
"All your pranks have been scored so far. And so far it's a tie. You each need to pull one more prank for one of you to win." she explained.
The guys and girls looked at each other, it was on now. And they went back to the trailers to discuss a plan.
"What are we gonna do?" asked Madison.
"I think I've got a plan." suggested Magdalena.
And the girls huddled up. In the guys' trailer, they discussed their big prank plan.
"Those girls won't know what hit them." said Zachary.
"We all know what we're supposed to do right?" asked Conrad.
All the guys responded, except Jaime.
"Jaime." said Joshua sternly.
"I know my role." Jaime replied.
And so they all went to set up their pranks. Monica and Co-hostess Hailey waited outside to see what would happen.
"I wonder what they're gonna do to each other." Co-hostess Hailey said.
"We'll be finding out soon." Monica told her.
Then she pulled out her megaphone and made an announcement.
"Okay, contestants, it's time for dinner." she announced.
The girls came out of their trailer, but not the guys. To their surprise they were already near the mess hall.
"What are you guys doing here?" asked Hayley.
"Oh, nothing, just getting dinner like you girls." answered Caleb.
The teams looked at each other, but went inside to eat. They were served chicken thighs, rice, and green beans. Hayley was about to be handed a salad, when she spoke up.
"Actually, I'd like what everyone else is having." she told.
And so it was given to her.
"Hayley, what about your allergies?" asked Yasmine.
"Well, my allergies didn't act up during the last challenge, so maybe I'm not allergic to certain things."
And she began eating. When the girls were finished eating, the tried to get up, but couldn't.
"What the?" Madison wondered.
Their shoes were stuck to the floor!
"Something wrong ladies?" questioned Joshua.
"You guys did this!" accused Dixie.
"That's not all they apparently did." remarked Monica.
The girls were confused, until they looked at their bottoms. On their behinds was white paint.
"Gotcha." laughed Zachary.
"Very funny, guys." Magdalena told them, while taking off her shoes.
"Ten points to the guys'." Co-hostess Hailey told the guys.
"That wasn't even our whole prank. Wait till those girls see what comes next." Joshua told the camera.
After the girls took off their shoes, they went back to their trailer to get their other shoes and change their bottoms.
"Those were my favorite shoes." complained Madison.
"Don't worry. Monica says, the interns will get right on getting our shoes unstuck." Yasmine replied.
"Well soon, those guys will be getting theirs." Dixie told them.
Just then there was a loud "POP!" Everyone hurried outside, and saw the guys coming out of their trailer. They were all covered in pink paint.
"What happened to you guys?" asked Monica.
"We were just settling down, when we were suddenly covered it pink paint." explained Jaime.
"And not only that, our clothes have been colored pink too." added Conrad, holding his shirt that was now pink.
"Gotcha." all the girls cried happily.
"Nice one ladies, twenty points."
"Hey, why didn't haven't you girls started running to the bathroom yet?" asked Caleb.
"What?" Hayley wondered confused.
"Jaime, didn't you put the laxative in their dinner?" Zachary wanted to know.
"Oh, I knew I forgot something." Jaime replied.
All the guys groaned and complained.
"Well now it's time to add up all the points." Co-hostess Hailey got added everything up, and soon had an answer.
"And the winner is...the girls!" she announced.
The girls cheered in delight.
"Congratulations girls. For you prize you each get a $200 gift card to spend however you please at the nearby stores." Monica told them.
"Awesome!" yelled Dixie.
"Boys, I'll be seeing you at the elimination ceremony."
All the guys looked angrily at Jaime.
"Hey, I told them I didn't like pranks." Jaime told the viewers.
At the elimination ceremony, all the guys cast their votes and waited.
"All right, gentlemen. It's now time to see who's staying and who's going. When I call your name get a tiki charm." Monica said.
"Conrad."
"Joshua."
"Zachary."
Now it was down to Caleb and Jaime.
"And the final tiki charm goes to...Caleb."
"Figures." Jaime sighed.
"Sorry, Jaime, time to go." Monica told him.
And Jaime left.
"Now, Jaime's gone. Who'll be next to go, find out next time on Totally Epic!"
