2 Minutes Later
Ahsoka entered Anakin's hospital room to find her master talking quietly seemingly to himself, and for a moment she felt saddened by the change in him , he wasn't who he had been before... No! you can't think like that! she told herself mentally Bant warned you that he was going to be a little different and she did say that the changes could be temporary.
Ahsoka reminded herself Anakin had been though a lot the past 3 years and he had lost someone who had been very important to him, Obi wan been irreplaceable in Anakin's mind and life so much so that Anakin had so lost without him that her master had abandoned only her , but reality it's self and with it his the Jedi order and the war effort in favour of a catatonic state and dreamworld for three years.
The republic and the Jedi had never been the same since Master Kenobi's death and Anakin's mental withdrawal from the real world, for one thing the republic was losing the war , more and more Jedi were being killed by the separatists or joining the separatist forces.
Claiming that the republic government was corrupt and that the Jedi Order had become to political in nature and that the Jedi council was to blind too see that they no longer existed to protect the people or serve the force but that they served the Chancellor and the corrupt government instead!
Ashoka hadn't believed them at first but as more and more of the younger Jedi started to see the truth about the republic , the senate and most importantly the hold on the government that chancellor palpatine had and the power that he persuaded the senate to grant him .
Claiming that if he had control over the Jedi Order and everything else concerning the war effort, the more Ahsoka was starting to wonder if the war would ever end. Back at beginning of the war when Obi wan had been alive and Anakin had been...she paused and sighed and thought to herself back when Anakin had been mentally stable and emotionally healthy if anyone had asked her if the war would end soon, she would have said yes without hesitation because Obi wan and Anakin had been the republic's best and only chance at survival and peace.
But now she just didn't know if anything could change or if Anakin would be enough to save the fragile and batter moral of the order, the republic and galaxy as a whole stars end she wasn't even sure if anything could be saved now! or if the republic should be saved!
But she would never say that too Anakin not three years ago and certainly not now because he would have never understood why she would turn her back on what he and Obi wan had spent most of their lives working for and fighting for! and now with his best friend, his brother gone the order and the republic were all her master had left to fight for as broken and batter as they were it was all he had left Ahsoka thought to herself sadly.
And without that Anakin would not survive the next fight or battle, not now that his mental state was as fragile as the republic it's self she thought. She sighed again and said " Master? are you okay ? Anakin who had been deep in conversation with Obi wan and obvious to Ahsoka's force and physical presences until now flinched at the sound of her voice and looked over to the door way where she stood and oh Force she wished he hadn't as his once pale sky blue eyes were now a mass of churning sadness and pain of dark blue .
"Ahsoka h...how long have you been here?" He asked in soft voice rusty from disuse, not surprising seeing as he's been wallowing in self pity for 3 years while the Galaxy falls apart around him she thought bitterly, she couldn't say that that out loud so instead she said " not long a few minutes ".
Anakin glanced at the chair where Obi wans force ghost still sat and then looked back at Ahsoka and said " urmm I was j... it w...he paused looking for a way to explain but Ahsoka just smiled sadly and said " its okay Bant said that you were a bit disoriented at the moment ".
"Urmm yeah a bit "Anakin replied jumping on the excuse for his behaviour, well it was better than the actually trying to explain the whole I can talk to dead people thing that he had going on with Obi wan at the moment, Anakin thought to himself.
That was just to hard for him to talk about and as always he when it came to the ways of the force he didn't quite understand how or indeed why Obi wan was back in ghost form, he would have to talk to master Yoda about it later Anakin thought to himself.
Ahsoka sighed and thought to herself 'well is awkward ' "so how are you feeling it must be strange to be awake after 3 years and finding a lot has changed " Ahsoka said to him now , " urmm yeah kind of " Anakin replied with a glance at Obi wan's Force ghost who was still sat in the chair by Anakins bed and then he looked back at Ahsoka.
And thought to himself 'she can't see or hear him how can that be !why can I see and hear him but Ahsoka can't I need to talk to master Yoda because this is just too weird' Anakin thought to himself.
For the next hour he and Ahsoka made small talk and avoided talking about anything too with Obi wan and his death, and Anakin's withdrawal from reality and the war .
