The first episode of Total Drama Patriots opened with a shot of Don standing on what appeared to be a runway of an airport, and the brown haired host was smiling into the camera as he got the signal to start doing his intro.
"Greetings and salutations, Total Drama fans! We're coming at you live from Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport! I'm your host, Don Albano, and I'll be your guide throughout this new season of Total Drama!" Don began to speak as he began to walk across the runway.
"Here's the deal: 26 passengers, each representing a country from around the world have signed up to go on a trip around the world where each episode, a challenge will be played in a different country. The team that wins the challenge gets to enjoy a reward, while the team that loses the challenge will have to join me at the elimination ceremony where they will have to vote out one of their own team members. This continues until the teams are merged, after which the challenges become individual and only one passenger can be safe from elimination at each elimination ceremony. I know that it sounds obvious of me to say after so many seasons of Total Drama under the hosting of Chris McLean, but I still felt it was worth mentioning. In the end, only one passenger will remain, and they will be rewarded with the million dollar prize. Who will outwit, outplay, and outlast all the others and come out on top? Find out as we begin our journey, on Total...Drama...Patriots!" Don finished as the show's intro began to play.
A spotlight rose in front of an air control tower and was turned on. A camera then popped up from a hatch inside the plane, then another one popped up from the plane engine, and another one popped up from a suitcase before a director's clapper was used.
Dear mom and dad, I'm doing fine
The camera went through the plane as it zoomed by Don before heading out of the plane and over an air control tower before going underwater to show April swimming there as she tried to befriend a fish, but it ended up biting her in the nose, causing her to scream in pain as she tried to get the fish off her nose.
You guys are on my mind
The camera then rose to the surface of the water as Bruce was shown steering a motorboat with Tabitha on board with him before a hippopotamus suddenly surfaced in front of the two of them, forcing Bruce to quickly steer to the right and causing him and Tabitha to crash their boat into a set of rocks, where Qiu was shown reading a book, and she looked up from her book to look at Bruce and Tabitha rubbing their heads in pain, and Qiu turned to the camera with a puzzled look on her face.
You asked me what I wanted to be
We then switch to somewhere in Italy where Sabrina was shown peacefully painting in the streets of a city when a tiger cub suddenly leapt over her trestle, causing Sabrina to fall onto her butt in shock and the trestle with the painting on it to collapse on her, covering her in paint. Sabrina then saw Imran running past as he gave chase to the tiger cub before Sabrina turned to the camera with an annoyed look on her face.
And I think the answer is plain to see
The camera then cuts to a gymnasium somewhere in Romania where Codrin is shown doing gymnastics tricks before perfectly landing on his feet and raising his arms pridefully as Henrique, Julius and Ulrich clap for his performance. Nala and Danuja aren't as impressed by Codrin's performance and just blankly stare at him.
I wanna be famous
It then switches to Normandy, where Miranda is shown admiring the WWII bunkers on the beaches of Normandy before she is suddenly hit in the back of the head by a soccer ball, causing Miranda to tense up and quickly dive inside one of the bunkers to hide, before Marissa and Tividar suddenly run past as Marissa kicks up the soccer ball and Tividar hits the ball back at her with his forehead.
I wanna live close to the sun
We then see Vivian and Taras standing on top of the White House in Washington, D.C., with Vivian glaring angrily at Taras as she rolls up her sleeves, ready to fight Taras while Taras grins menacingly at her before the camera panned to Aksel posing triumphantly on top of the White House as he held his battle axe in the air with his left hand.
Go pack your bags, 'cause I've already won
The camera then pans down to ground level as Iris is shown standing on Pennsylvania Avenue, taking pictures of the area before Ramses suddenly walks toward her in a zombie like manner, causing Iris to scream and run away as she dropped her camera, and Ramses laughed before Klaas walked up to him and he gave the mummified boy a high five.
Everything to prove, nothing in my way
Karina is then shown standing in the middle of a lesson at Cambridge University doing various voice impressions that annoy the students in the classroom before a security guard walks up to Karina, angrily glaring at her and causing her to gulp and look pale.
I'll get there one day
Ergin is then shown taking selfies on his cellphone in front of the Sydney Opera House, but he isn't paying attention to where he's going as he accidentally loses his balance and falls backward off a set of rocks into the water, soaking him and causing his cellphone to malfunction as Ergin yells in horror.
'Cause I wanna be famous
Gretchen and Sang-Chul are then shown having a sing-off at Wembley Stadium, and the crowd is cheering loudly for the two musicians as they throw roses onto the stage.
Na na na na na na, na na na na na, na na na na na
Kate is seen showing off her outfit on a catwalk in Paris when the plane suddenly flies overhead, forcing her to get down on the ground to avoid being hit by the plane. The plane is then shown flying past various locations around the world.
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous
The 26 contestants are then shown standing on top of the plane, with Tabitha, Ramses, Danuja, Klaas, Iris, Tividar and April forming the bottom row, Henrique, Sabrina, Julius, Qiu, Taras and Vivian forming the next row, Gretchen, Sang-Chul, Miranda, Imran and Kate forming the third row, Bruce, Marissa, Ulrich and Karina forming the fourth row, Nala, Codrin and Aksel forming the fifth row and Ergin standing on top.
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous
Ergin is happily singing as he's standing on top of the stack, Gretchen and Sang-Chul angrily glare at each other as they're singing while April is promptly hit in the head by a passing bird as the environmentalist clutches her face in pain. The plane then soars by as a trail of smoke covers up the camera.
[Whistling] I wanna be, I wanna be famous
As the smoke clears, the 26 contestants are shown standing in front of the plane at Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport, and the Total Drama Patriots logo could be seen on the side of the plane.
We then switch back to Don standing on the runway at the airport, smiling into the camera. "Welcome back to Total Drama Patriots. It's time to meet our first 13 contestants." Don informed the viewers as a bus pulled up on the runway next to Don, and the door opened as the first contestant emerged from the bus.
Said contestant was a Caucasian female with brown hair styled into a pompadour, green eyes and a toned/slim build dressed in a sleeveless orange tank top and white trousers with orange and white hi-tops and orange earbells.
"Hey, Kate! How's it going?" Don greeted the first contestant with a smile as she walked up to him.
"Hello, Don. It's a pleasure to meet you. I hope the competition will be much more pleasant than it would be under Chris McLean's supervision." Kate smiled back at the brown haired host as she walked past Don and turned to look towards the bus.
"We will do our best to cater towards the comfort and safety of our contestants as much as possible, Kate, so you won't have to worry yourself on that part." Don assured Kate before the next contestant emerged from the bus.
Said contestant was a Caucasian male with brown hair styled into a cowlick and blue eyes and a brown handlebar mustache with a muscular build dressed in a white t-shirt underneath an unzipped white hoodie along with pale red sweatpants and black running shoes.
"Codrin!" Don greeted the next contestant as he gave him a high five.
"Ah, Don Albano! Great to meet you! Glad I was able to join Total Drama for this new season!" Codrin grinned as he returned the high five before he looked around. "Hey, where's the plane? The application form said we'd be taking a plane to get to our first destination, right?" He then asked the brown haired host.
"Once all the contestants have arrived, our plane will arrive too, Codrin." Don explained to him.
Codrin nodded at that. "Ah, that makes sense." He said before walking past Don and standing next to Kate. Soon, the next contestant came out of the bus and revealed themselves.
The next contestant was a tanned Asian female with black chin length hair styled into a chin length bobcut, brown eyes and a muscular build with light abs. Her outfit consisted of a black t-shirt underneath an unzipped white track jacket with white track pants and gray sneakers. She didn't look too happy to be here judging by her uninterested expression.
"Welcome, Danuja! Looks like you made it here safe and sound!" Don told Danuja with a smile.
"Yep, funnily enough, I had noticed." Danuja replied in a dry tone of voice, her uninterested expression never leaving her face.
"We're aware you don't go out much because of reasons that you wished to not be openly stated unless you're comfortable talking about them yourself, but we still hope that you're at least willing to try at the challenges that are to come." Don then told Danuja as he place his left hand on his hip while having his right hand held out to Danuja.
"If I wasn't willing to try at the challenges that are to come, I wouldn't be here today, wouldn't I?" Danuja continued to speak in a dry tone of voice as she rolled her eyes at the brown haired host.
"That's the spirit! Now go and join your fellow competitors, because we have more of them to introduce!" Don announced as Danuja walked over to the other contestants and the next contestant came out of the bus.
The next contestant was a Caucasian male with shoulder length blond hair and ice blue eyes and a thin build who wore a dark blue and dark yellow striped sweater with midnight blue jeans and light brown loafers and also had a doll over his left hand. The doll resembled a Caucasian male with blue eyes that wore a black bowler hat, a white dress shirt, a red bowtie, a black suit jacket, black suit pants and black dress shoes.
"Salutations, Don Albano! It's an honor to meet you after having seen you on The Ridonculous Race! You did a wonderful job hosting that show!" The blond haired male greeted Don as he walked up to him.
"Tividar! Welcome to the competition! And you weren't kidding when you said on your application form that you were gonna bring along one of your dolls!" Don said, looking at the doll on Tividar's left hand.
"Yes, indeed! This is Peewee, my partner in crime throughout the comedy shows I give back in my homeland! Say hello to the viewers, Peewee!" Tividar told the doll on his left hand.
Peewee then turned toward the camera and waved at it. "Salutations, Total Drama! I hope you look forward to seeing me and Tividar hit your screens with our adventures around the world in the coming weeks!" The doll spoke to the camera.
Don laughed a bit at this. "Alright, alright. You're both very enthusiastic about being here, I see. Go ahead and join the rest of the contestants while we introduce the next one." The brown haired host said as Tividar joined the other contestants while the next out proceeded to come out of the bus.
The next contestant was a dark skinned female with very short yet curly black hair, brown eyes and a slim build who dressed in an orange tribal tank top with orange tribal shorts, light brown sandals and an orange headband, and she also had a spear in her right hand, she had a fierce look in her eyes as she walked up to Don.
"Nala. I thought it was openly stated on the application form that contestants weren't allowed to bring weapons with them to the competition?" Don asked Nala, already nervous about dealing with this contestant.
"This spear is the life force of the warriors of Madagascar. It is important that it doesn't leave my side at all costs. That is the only reason I have brought it with me to the competition. And I do not wish to have any objections to my spear being in the presence of my fellow competitors." Nala spoke in a calm yet firm tone, her distinctive African accent sounding through.
Don nodded in understanding. "Very well. As long as you don't harm any of the contestants with the spear, then you are allowed to keep it with you during the competition." He told Nala.
Nala nodded back. "I am glad we are on the same wave length of understanding." She replied to the brown haired host as she went to join the rest of the contestants and Don wiped his forehead while sighing in relief.
The next contestant then emerged from the bus, this one being a Caucasian male with brown hair styled in a buzzcut, blue eyes and a toned build who wore a black Adidas tracksuit and white trainers.
"Welcome to the competition, Taras!" Don kindly greeted the next contestant as he walked up to him.
"Hello. It's great to be here for this next season of Total Drama Patriots. When I heard that this season was all about people from around the world representing their countries on Total Drama, I knew I had to sign up." Taras told Don with a smile, his thick Russian accent sounding through.
Don nodded at Taras' words. "Alrighty then. We hope you'll enjoy your stay in the competition." He replied to the Russian male.
"I'm sure I will." Taras nodded back as he walked over to the rest of the contestants as the next contestant proceeded to emerge from the bus.
The next contestant to emerge from the bus was a tan Asian female with brown hair tied into a short ponytail, black eyes and a thin build who wore a white sweater along with black trousers and red and white sneakers. Her eyes glanced around the area as a scowl rested on her face.
"Hello, April! How was your trip here?" Don asked the next contestant with a smile.
"It was painstaking, to say the least. Do you know how much damage the carbon dioxide a bus like this emits can do to the environment? If this bus drove on green energy, I would have found the trip here much more pleasant. I hope that the plane we will be using to travel around the world for the season won't emit as much carbon dioxide as this bus, because then my stay on this show will certainly be a nightmare. Our children and their children need fresh air to breath and clean water to drink, you know?" April informed Don with a scowl as she folded her arms in front of her chest.
"We can't promise anything, but we will do our best to do as little damage to the environment as possible while we film this season." Don assured her.
"If you say so, your words please me. But know I will be keeping my eye on you." April warned him as she went to join the rest of the contestants and Don let out a sigh. He didn't let it bother him for too long though as the next contestant proceeded to leave the bus and Don quickly recomposed himself.
The next contestant to step out of the bus was a Caucasian male with orange hair that pointed upward in the front while pointing downward in the back. His eyes were green and he has freckles on his cheeks along with a thin build. His outfit consisted of a white chef hat worn on his head along with a short sleeved orange shirt worn underneath a white apron with black trousers and brown work boots with black laces.
"Julius, what's shaking, man?" Don greeted the next contestant with a smile as he gave him a fist bump.
"Bonjour, Monsieur Albano! I have seen you on The Ridonculous Race, and I must say that you did a fine job at hosting that show! I especially love that you visited France during one of your episodes!" Julius kindly greeted Don as he returned the fist bump, his thick French accent coming through.
"Thanks, Julius! I'm glad you enjoyed The Ridonculous Race, because I enjoyed it too!" Don smiled at the Frenchman.
Julius smiled back and nodded before looking at the other contestants and seeing that there was no plane in sight yet. "So...this is it for now?" He asked Don.
"For now, yeah. Once all the contestants have arrived, our plane will arrive too and then we will set course for our first destination." Don informed him.
Julius nodded again. "Okay then." He replied before joining the rest of the contestants. Soon, the next contestant came out of the bus.
The next contestant was a Caucasian female with brown hair tied into a ponytail, brown eyes and a thin build dressed in a long sleeved black shirt worn underneath an unzipped light brown parka with light brown cargo pants and dark brown work boots with light brown laces and dark brown leather gloves on her hands.
"Ah, Miranda! Nice to see you made it here too!" Don told the next contestant as he shook her hand.
"I'm happy to be here as well, Don. I wanna try and see as much of the world as possible before society crumbles in the far future and we won't have any way to see the world anymore." Miranda smiled at the brown haired host as she returned the handshake.
Kate raised an eyebrow at Miranda's words. "What the heck is she talking about?" She asked her fellow contestants.
"Must be one of those coocoo doomsday believers. I mean, just look at her clothes. It practically screams that she's preparing for a post-apocalyptic scenario." Taras replied to her before the camera panned back to Miranda and Don.
"Well, I'll be heading over to my fellow contestants so I won't be taking up too much of your time." Miranda then told Don before walking over to the other contestants. Shortly after, the next contestant came out of the bus.
The next contestant was a Caucasian male with neatly combed black hair, brown eyes and a toned build who wore a white captain's hat, a black captain's jacket and black trousers along with black rubber boots.
"G'day, Don! Thanks for having me on the show!" The contestant told Don in a thick Australian accent as he shook the brown haired host's hand.
"Anytime, Bruce! We were happy that you could take time out of your busy schedule to apply for this show and make it here to compete! We hope you'll have yourself a good time on the show!" Don told Bruce as he returned the handshake.
"Wonderful. Well, I'll be over there with the others, chatting it up for a bit." Bruce smiled before walking over to the rest of the contestants. Soon after, the next contestant stepped out of the bus to make their entrance into the competition.
Said contestant was a dark skinned female with olive brown hair, brown eyes and a thin build who wore a yellow soccer jersey, dark green soccer shorts, white socks and black soccer shoes with white laces.
"Hi, Don! I'm so, so glad to be here! I loved you on The Ridonculous Race, and when I heard that you were going to host a new season of Total Drama, I just knew I had to be here!" The contestant beamed at Don as she hugged the brown haired host.
Don chuckled at that. "We're glad to have you here too, Marissa. I hope you'll be treating the challenges we've planned for you and your fellow competitors with just as much enthusiasm." He told the Brazilian girl.
"I'm sure I will!" Marissa cheered before running over to the rest of the contestants. The next contestant got out of the bus immediately afterward.
This contestant was a tanned male with short brown hair, brown eyes and a thin build who wore a black t-shirt along with white shorts, white socks and black sneakers, although this outfit couldn't be seen because the contestant was covered from head to toe in bandages.
Don was confused about this as the contestant slowly walked up to him. "Hi there. I'm assuming you're Ramses?" He asked the contestant with a puzzled look on his face.
"That's me, sir. I'm glad I was able to join Total Drama for its next season. I hope that me being a living mummy won't be too much of a distraction to you or my fellow competitors." Ramses replied to him.
"As long as you're willing to try at the challenges, I'm sure they won't see a reason to view you as such." Don assured him.
"I'm glad to hear that." Ramses replied as he slowly walked over to the other contestants as Don shrugged his shoulders. The next contestant then left the bus as Don was distracted by Ramses so he didn't notice them.
The next contestant was a Caucasian female with pale blond hair tied together in a sloppy ponytail, ice blue eyes and a slim build who wore a white t-shirt underneath an open black jacket along with stonewashed blue jeans and black and white shoes.
"Nyaaaaaaaah, what's up, Doc?" The contestant asked Don loudly in Bugs Bunny's voice, startling the brown haired host as he turned to her.
"Whoa! Didn't see that coming!" Don exclaimed in surprise.
"Oh, sorry, Doc. Didn't mean to scare ya there." The girl told Don in a sheepish voice, keeping up the Bugs Bunny voice.
"You're Karina, right?" Don then asked the girl.
"That would be me." Karina nodded, still speaking in the Bugs Bunny voice.
"Alright. Go ahead and join your fellow contestants." Don instructed her as Karina went to join her fellow contestants. "Alright, that's 13 contestants! Time to meet the next 13!" Don then announced as another bus pulled on the runway and the doors opened to allow the next contestant to step out.
The next contestant was a Caucasian male with brown hair styled in a cowlick, green eyes and a muscular build, although he wasn't a bodybuilder by any means. His outfit consisted of a light purple polo shirt with ash gray jeans and black and white sneakers.
"Hey, Klaas! How's it going, man?" Don greeted the next contestant as he walked up to him.
"Pretty good, I'd say. And I like what I'm seeing of my competition so far. Should be easy to get along with." Klaas replied to the brown haired host as he walked over to the rest of the contestants and stood next to Nala. "Can't wait to be on the same team as you, gorgeous." Klaas told Nala with a wink before Nala kicked him in the groin, causing the other contestants to cringe as Klaas grunted and dropped to his knees while clutching his groin in pain.
"Do not refer to me as such a thing, or you will answer to something much worse than that." Nala firmly told Klaas with a fierce glare.
"You made your point..." Klaas wheezed as the next contestant emerged from the bus.
The next contestant was a Caucasian female with black hair tied together into a ponytail, pale green eyes and a muscular build who wore a dark gray t-shirt with the logo of the rock band The Irish Mob on it underneath an unzipped black leather jacket along with torn stonewashed blue jeans and black motorcycle boots.
"Hello, Total Drama! My name is Gretchen O'Niall, and just to get it out of the way, yes, I am a lead singer and guitarist for The Irish Mob!" The contestant greeted her fellow contestants, causing some of them to gasp in shock as they were in the presence of a celebrity other than Don.
"Looks like they're glad to have you in their presence, Gretchen! Go ahead and join the rest of them, we've got some more contestants to go through!" Don told Gretchen as he gave the muscular Irish girl a fist bump.
"I gotcha, Don! Can't wait to see who else I'll be up against in the competition!" Gretchen grinned as she returned the fist bump and made her way over to the rest of the contestants as the next one came out of the bus.
Said contestant was a Caucasian male with shoulder length red hair, pale blue eyes and a toned build who wore a silver viking helmet on his head along with a long sleeved dark blue shirt underneath a silver chestplate as well as dark gray trousers, dark gray boots and silver wristbands, and he held a large axe in his left hand.
"Aksel, welcome to the competition! I hope that you won't be using your axe to harm any of your fellow contestants?" Don asked the contestant as he walked up to him.
"No, sir. This axe is not for shedding the lifeblood of my fellow contestants. It is for defending my fellow contestants against the dangers that the world has to offer as we travel through it for this season." Aksel informed Don with a reassuring smile.
Don nodded at Aksel's explanation. "Alright. In that case, you're allowed to keep your axe. But if you do end up harming any of your fellow contestants with your axe, intentional or not, we will be forced to confiscate it. Keep that in mind, okay?" The brown haired host asked the viking boy.
Aksel nodded in understanding. "I understand, sir. For now, I will be waiting with the rest of the contestants over there." He replied before making his way over to the rest of the contestants to allow the next contestant to get off the bus.
The next contestant to get off the bus was a Caucasian female with blond hair tied together into a bun, grayish-blue eyes and a thin build who wore a white dress shirt underneath a red waistcoat with a dark green bowtie and a black skirt with white knee length socks and black penny loafers.
"Ah, Iris! We're grateful to have you here for the competition!" Don kindly greeted the next contestant as she stopped in front of him.
"You have no idea how grateful I am to have been invited to compete on this show, Mr. Albano. I was waiting for so long to get a chance from escaping from my work environment for a while, so again, I truly am grateful to have been invited to compete on this show." Iris told Don with a grateful sigh of relief.
"If you're happy to be here, then I'm happy too, Iris! Go ahead and join the other contestants!" Don told Iris with a smile, causing Iris to smile back at the brown haired host and nodded in understanding as she walked over to the other contestants while the next contestant proceeded to get off the bus.
The next contestant to get off the bus was a tanned Asian male with spiky black hair and brown eyes and a slim build who wore a black turtleneck sweater along with stonewashed black jeans and red and white hi-tops.
"Yo, Sang-Chul! What's up?" Don asked the Asian male as he stopped in front of him and did a cool handshake with him.
"Hey, Don Albano! Good to meet you! I really loved your work on The Ridonculous Race! It certainly was a refreshing concept after about six seasons of Total Drama and Chris McLean's sadistic and cruel nature!" Sang-Chul smiled at the brown haired host as he did the cool handshake with him.
"Thanks, Sang-Chul! I'm glad you liked The Ridonculous Race! If that show ever ends up getting renewed for a second season, I'll gladly host it again!" Don beamed at the Korean boy.
"Alright, cool. I'll be chatting it up with my fellow contestants for a bit while I wait for the others to arrive." Sang-Chul nodded as he walked over to the other contestants and began to chat with them. In the meantime, another contestant emerged from the bus.
Said contestant was a Caucasian female with wavy brown hair that turned into curls at the end, golden brown eyes and a toned/slim build who wore a bright orange t-shirt along with stonewashed blue jean shorts, dark blue socks and dark blue Velcro shoes.
"Hey, Sabrina! Glad you managed to find your way to the competition as well!" Don greeted the next contestant as she stopped in front of him.
"Buongiorno, Don. Thanks for having me on the show. I look forward to what's to come in the coming weeks." Sabrina smiled at the brown haired host before looking to her left and seeing that the plane had yet to arrive. "Hey, what about the plane? I thought we were supposed to be picked up by a plane to take us to our first destination of the competition?" She asked Don in confusion.
"The plane will be here once all the contestants have arrived. Seeing as we have a couple more contestants to go through, it shouldn't take too long for the plane to get here." Don explained to her, and Sabrina nodded in understanding as she made her way over to the other contestant while the next one proceeded to get off the bus.
This contestant was a chocolate brown skinned Indian male with shaggy black hair, black eyes and a somewhat muscular build who wore a tan short sleeved shirt and khaki shorts with white socks and black boots. A tiger cub with orange fur, black stripes, a white muzzle, a white furry belly and green eyes walked next to him, unnerving some of the contestants a bit.
"Hey, Imran. I thought it was explicitly stated that contestants weren't allowed to bring pets with them to the competition?" Don asked the next contestant with a raised eyebrow.
"I know that I wasn't allowed to bring any pets, but Baljeet over here came along with me as a stowaway, and I discovered him too late, so here he is." Imran explained as the camera panned down on the tiger cub, whose name was Baljeet. Baljeet was licking its paw like a domesticated house cat.
Don looked at Baljeet and then at Imran. "Okay, he can stay. But if he causes too much trouble on the show, I'm afraid we will have to disqualify you, alright?" The brown haired host asked Imran.
Imran nodded in understanding. "I understand and will take full responsibility if Baljeet causes too much trouble on the show." He assured Don before walking over to the rest of the contestants as the next contestant came out of the bus.
This contestant was a Caucasian female with blond hair tied together into a ponytail, ice blue eyes and a muscular build dressed in a buttoned up stonewashed black denim jacket along with stonewashed black jeans and black boots with white laces.
"Tabitha. We're glad you could also make it to the competition safe and sound." Don smiled and nodded at the next contestant.
"The feeling is mutual, Mr. Albano. If there are any troublemakers on this season, leave me to take care of them. They will learn not to cause any mayhem as long as I am around." Tabitha offered Don with a kind smile.
Don smiled back and nodded again. "We'll definitely take it into consideration, thank you very much. Go ahead and join the other contestants, it shouldn't take too long before we have all of them." He told Tabitha as the Grecian girl proceeded to join the rest of the contestant while the next one emerged from the bus.
This contestant was a brown skinned Turkish male with short curly blond hair, brown eyes, a blond circle beard and a somewhat chubby build who wore a pair of yellow aviator shades along with a white t-shirt underneath a black fleece jacket and black designer pants and white hi-tops with black stripes. He was currently tapping away on the buttons of his phone as he walked up to Don.
"Hey, Ergin. How you doing, man?" Don greeted Ergin with a smile as the Turkish boy looked up from his phone screen.
"Doing pretty good under the circumstances, bro. 'Bout to enter the competition of Total Drama, and it looks like I'm up against a buncha weirdoes, but that's cool. Should make it easier for me to make it through the competition and get that sweet, sweet million dollar prize." Ergin replied as the other contestants looked offended at being called weirdoes.
"What did that dude just say?" Kate asked in an offended tone of voice.
"Buddy, I'll have you know that I am no weirdo." Klaas glared at Ergin.
"Yeah, dude. The first challenge hasn't even begun, so cut back on the venom." Imran agreed too.
Ergin chuckled at that. "Looks like these folk are easy to crawl inside their heads. That should be interesting to share on my socials." He remarked as he once again began tapping away on the buttons of his phone while making his way over to the rest of the contestants as Don let out another sigh.
The next contestant to get off the bus was a Caucasian female with chestnut brown hair tied together into a fishtail braid that goes just past her shoulders, green eyes and a muscular build who wore a brown cowgirl hat, a black t-shirt underneath an unbuttoned red and white flannel jacket, stonewashed blue jeans and chestnut brown cowgirl boots.
"Yee-haw! Y'all ready fer a new season of Total Drama?! 'Cause I certainly am!" The cowgirl cheered as she walked up to Don.
"Vivian! Welcome!" Don beamed at Vivian as the cowgirl spit into her hand and held it out for a shake, much to Don's disgust.
Vivian chuckled at Don's reaction to what she just did. "Awwww, what's the matter, Don? Bit of a clean freak, aren't ya?" She teased the brown haired host, who reluctantly shook Vivian's hand. "There ya go! That's how folk greet each other where I'm from, and I'm glad y'all respect the way us Southerners do things!" Vivian beamed as she made her way over to the other contestants as Don quickly put some hand sanitizer onto his hands while Vivian wasn't looking.
The next contestant then emerged from the bus, this one being a tanned Caucasian male with shoulder length brown hair, pale green eyes, a handsome, masculine face and a muscular build who wore a red tank top along with yellow shorts and red boots with white laces. Most of the female contestants gushed at the sight of this contestant.
"Wow-ie!" Kate remarked as she saw this new contestant.
"What a stud!" Sabrina exclaimed.
"He's really handsome!" Miranda agreed.
"Everyone, meet Henrique! He's a wrestler from Spain!" Don told the other contestants as he gestured to Henrique, introducing him to the other contestants.
"Hey, Don. Glad to be here. And I'm glad I'm already getting off on the right foot with my fellow contestants." Henrique smiled as he walked past Don towards the rest of the contestants, who all made room for Henrique to stand between them.
Don and the other contestants were so distracted by this that they didn't notice the next contestant getting off the bus. This contestant was a tanned Asian female with short frizzled black hair and black eyes and a thin build who wore a pair of silver rimmed reading glasses and a dark green sweater along with black trousers and black fuzzy boots.
The girl was in the middle of reading a book, but upon noticing that she had arrived at the competition, she put a bookmark at the page she was reading and put away her book. "Uh, am I supposed to wait for my cue or something here?" The girl asked, getting Don's attention as the brown haired host turned towards her.
"Ah, Qiu! Sorry, I didn't see you there! We're glad you managed to arrive safe and sound! Now go ahead and join the other contestants! We're almost done!" Don informed Qiu, who nodded in understanding as she walked over to the rest of the contestants while the final one emerged from the bus.
The final contestant to emerge from the bus was a Caucasian male with blond hair styled in a pompadour and light blue eyes along with a thin build who wore a white two piece suit with a white dress shirt and black loafers.
"Guten tag, Herr Albano. I'm glad I vas able to make it for zis season of Total Drama. Seeing as I'm ze last to arrive, it looks like things are about to commence." The contestant remarked with a smile as he spoke in a distinctive German accent.
"Welcome, Ulrich! I'm glad you were able to make it for this season of Total Drama too! Go ahead and join the rest of the contestants!" Don greeted the final contestant as he walked over to the others.
"Alright, all the contestants have arrived! That means our plane is almost ready to arrive as well!" Don announced before everyone could hear an engine roaring and they saw a jet plane pulling up on the runway. The jet plane was red and white in color, and the pilot looked to be a tanned male with spiky black hair, brown eyes and a perfectly shaven stubble akin to that of Chris McLean on his face. His outfit consisted of a white t-shirt underneath an unzipped gray pilot jacket along with gray cargo pants and gray flight boots.
"And there it is! The Jumbo Jet Mk II, piloted by our licensed pilot Armando Camill!" Don announced as the pilot grinned and gave Don a thumbs up before opening a window on the cockpit and leaning out of it.
"Greetings, contestants! As Mr. Albano said, my name's Armando, and I'll be your pilot for this season! I can assure you that we've got everything under control as we fly from destination to destination every episode, and no life threatening dangers will be present on this plane as long as I'm around!" Armando told the contestants, which caused the contestants to smile with relief as they clapped for his words.
"Alright, Armando! Thanks for giving the contestants that feeling of reassurance!" Don called to Armando, who gave another thumbs up before closing the window on the cockpit again. Don then turned to the contestants again.
"Now, if you would all be so kind as to follow me onto the plane, then we can start a tour of the plane!" Don announced as him and the 26 contestants proceeded to get onto the plane.
"Here's the deal. Once we arrive at our first destination, we will be splitting you up into teams. As in previous Total Drama seasons, the teams will be duking it out for immunity and possibly a reward in each episode, and the winner of the challenge will not only get to avoid the elimination ceremony and enjoy a reward, but they will also get to enjoy the usage of the Business Class Lounge until the next challenge commences." Don began to explain to the contestants as they arrived at the Business Class Lounge, which was a luxury area of the plane that had seats covered in a fluffy purple coating, with a similarly fluffy purple carpet covering the floor. There was also a bar and a dining table inside the Business Class Lounge.
Ergin grinned as he saw the Business Class Lounge. "Damn, this place is DEEEE-luxe! I could get used to staying here if the team I end up on is good at challenges." The influencer remarked as he began tapping on his phone buttons about the Business Class Lounge.
"It's definitely fancy in here, I'll give it that. Not really somethin' I'm gonna get used to durin' my stay on this show." Vivian chuckled sheepishly.
"As for the team that loses every challenge, they will be staying in this area of the plane." Don continued as he moved on to the next area of the plane, which was a less luxurious area of the plane that had light green seats and a light green carpet, and it lacked a bar and dining table, but there was a kitchen area inside this area, and it appeared to be manned by an elderly Caucasian woman with shoulder length black hair that was starting to gray, light green eyes and a wrinkled face dressed in a professional chef's outfit with a chef hat. She smiled and waved at the contestants, and the contestants waved back at her.
"This is the Economy Class. It might not be as luxurious as the Business Class Lounge, but at least you'll be getting a meal from Chef Louise Hudson over here. She owns her own restaurant in her home country, the United Kingdom and is famed for her quality recipes and quick cooking." Don explained to the contestants while also introducing the season's chef to them.
Chef Louise smiled and nodded in agreement. "Hello, darlings. As Mr. Albano just said, I will be providing the contestants who stay in the Economy Class with a meal every day. My food can also be found in the refrigerator in the Business Class Lounge, so both teams will get to enjoy my cooking regardless of the placement they will get in the challenges." She explained to the contestants, who appeared to be pleased to get an actual meal from an actual chef.
"I'm liking this season already." Klaas remarked with a chuckle.
"Yeah. Actual food and chefs are gonna be hard to come by once the apocalypse hits." Miranda agreed with a smile before the other contestants looked at her funny. "What? It's true. You can't go to a restaurant or a grocery store once a million zombies come running over the hills or nuclear warfare occurs." She shrugged.
"Alright, moving on to the next part of the season, which I'm sure none of you would be happy to end up at but will inevitably have to face at some point: The elimination ceremony. It'll take place right over here." Don moved on as he began to head into the next area of the plane.
This area of the plane was a room with a yellow carpet, two rows of yellow couches and a brown wooden podium near it. There was also a door in this area of the plane, and the inclusion of a door already made some of the contestants nervous.
"This is where the elimination ceremonies for the season will take place. You head into the confessional, you stamp the passport of the passenger you want to vote out, and I will go over the votes that way." Don explained to the contestants.
Julius proceeded to raise his hand. "Can I ask a question? Why is there a door in the elimination ceremony area?" The French boy pointed towards the door.
Tabitha nodded in agreement. "Yeah. We're not gonna have to jump out of a moving plane like the Drop of Shame in World Tour as part of our elimination exit, are we?" She chimed in with equal concern.
Don shook his head. "Not at all. For this season, we've opted for a much safer option to send the eliminated contestants on their way: The Biplane of Shame. While the plane is moving, the Biplane of Shame will hook up a passageway to the Jumbo Jet Mk II to allow the eliminated contestants to get from the Jumbo Jet Mk II onto the Biplane of Shame, after which the Biplane of Shame will take them away from the competition." The brown haired host explained to the contestants, which relieved them.
"Has such a thing been safely tested before we came here?" Codrin then asked Don.
Don smiled and nodded. "It has, and we have the video evidence to prove it." Don said as he pulled out a remote and pressed a button on it, which caused a TV screen to come down from the ceiling as it began playing a pre-recorded video.
The video showed Don and an intern standing on board of the Jumbo Jet Mk II while it was flying through the air. The intern was a Caucasian male with short brown hair and pale green eyes and an average body build who wore the typical Total Drama intern outfit of a red and white long sleeved shirt with black trousers and black and white shoes.
"Are you sure this is gonna be safe, Mr. Albano? What if this fails and I end up dying?" The intern asked Don with a worried look on his face.
"If this does end up failing and you end up dying, then your family will receive your paycheck and the standard casualty expenses, Kevin. We've got everything covered." Don assured him.
"Alright, if you say so..." Kevin took a deep breath as a bonking sound could be heard, indicating the Biplane of Shame had successfully connected to the Jumbo Jet Mk II. The door then proceeded to open up as a Caucasian male with black hair tied together into a ponytail and light blue eyes dressed in a black tank top, black trousers and black tennis shoes walked onto the Jumbo Jet Mk II.
"Looks like connection was successful. Kevin, if you would be so kind as to follow me onto the Biplane of Shame?" The man asked Kevin, who reluctantly followed the man back onto the Biplane of Shame, after which the door closed again, and the Biplane of Shame disconnected from the Jumbo Jet Mk II again before flying off. Don then pulled out a communication device and contacted Kevin.
"Kevin, did you arrive safely on the Biplane of Shame?" Don asked Kevin over the communication.
"I have. Test was successful." Kevin replied.
"Okay, good. Then we can check that off on our list of safety tests." Don nodded as he checked it off his list. The video then proceeded to end as the TV screen disappeared into the ceiling again.
The contestants were relieved that it was safe to do. "Alright, so now that you know that this is safe to do, I think it's about time we wrap up the tour." Don spoke.
-Confessional: Don-
Don was seen sitting inside a small room with a red fluffy wall with a red fluffy chair. "Of course, there's also the confessional for any contestant who wishes to let the viewers back home know how they really feel about everything that goes on during the competition or simply get something off their chest."
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Taras-
"Okay, so far the competition has been treating us quite nicely. The host is actually sane, the living space, the food and the confessional are sufficient, and my competition looks worthy of my time on this show. And that's a good thing, because I'm in it to win it." The Russian boy smirked as he has his hands behind his head and crossed his right leg over his left.
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Gretchen-
"Don really went all out by making things as luxury as it could possibly get when it comes to the plane, eh? I ain't a fan of the fancy schmancy stuff, but I still appreciate Don actually cares for the contestants. Huge improvement over Chris McLean, for sure."
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Danuja-
"Sure, it's cool that the host is actually nice, we'll be living much more comfortably compared to how contestants have lived under Chris McLean, and the food is actual food, but I'm honestly not really happy to be here. I'm only here because my father wanted me to get out more and talk to people more. I honestly doubt this show will do me any good, but now that I'm here, I might as well try to do my best at it."
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Bruce-
The maritime officer looked around the confessional and shrugged. "This ain't too bad. Definitely a lot comfier than what I have to deal with on the Australian navy ships I spend most of my days on."
-End Confessional-
Okay, now that we've finished the tour of the plane, I think it's about time we take off for our first destination! I'll go give Armando the go ahead for takeoff! You kids enjoy yourselves wherever you like on the plane in the meantime!" Don told the contestants as he walked off towards the cockpit. Soon after, the Jumbo Jet Mk II took off for the season's first destination, and the contestants were all sitting in different groups in either the Business Class Lounge, the Economy Class or the elimination ceremony area.
The camera cut into the Business Class Lounge, where Ergin, Taras, Kate, Sabrina and Henrique were sitting together at the bar, enjoying a drink.
Ergin sighed in satisfaction as he took a sip of his drink. "Aaaah, this is the life. Just the kind of luxury an influencer like me deserves." The Turkish boy remarked.
"Oh, so you're an influencer?" Kate asked with a smile as she looked at Ergin.
"Sure am. I'm known for being an icon in the Turkish fashion world, and I talk about the hottest fashion on my socials. I've got more than 100,000 followers on my socials, and they love what I'm doing on my socials. I also regularly host fashion challenges on my socials, and I always love seeing whatever my followers come up with. Every winner of my fashion challenges gets rewarded with a 1000 euro gift card to spend at any fashion store around Turkey." Ergin bragged to the people currently at the bar with him.
"Sounds cool, comrade. I'm sure that with how popular you are, you've got what it takes to make it far into this game." Taras remarked with a smile as he took a sip of his drink.
"Damn right I do, bro. I'm aiming to at least make the merge, and once I make it to that point, I can start worrying about making the final two. Can't win a race if you don't even make it halfway, as I always say." Ergin replied to the Russian boy.
"Looks like you're really estimating your chances at this game to be rather high. Hopefully that won't lead to your downfall." Sabrina quipped as she took a sip of her drink.
"I'm not worried about my high expectations of my Total Drama journey being the key to my undoing. People have made it far into the game with having high expectations of their Total Drama journey before, so I'm pretty sure I've got what it takes to make it far into this game." Ergin assured her.
"Well, good luck, because if you wanna make it far into the game, you'll have to outwit, outplay and outlast 25 other people, and that's no easy task." Henrique warned him.
"I'm well aware of that, bro. People have tried to win this game by solely relying on wit and skill before, such as Alejandro on All-Stars, and while that didn't work out quite well for him due to how much of a dumpster fire All-Stars was, I'm not gonna let some garbage Total Drama season not playing the cards in my favor ruin my shot at making it far into this game. I'm gonna solely rely on wit and skill in this game, and I'm not gonna make too much enemies along the way." Ergin concluded as the other contestants at the table with him tried to hold back their laughter.
Somewhat further down the Business Class Lounge, another group of contestants was sitting on a curvy purple couch. This group consisted of Klaas, Miranda, Sang-Chul, April and Ulrich. They were looking at the group at the bar having their conversation.
"I wonder what they're giggling all about?" Sang-Chul wondered out loud.
"Don't know. But it sounds like that influencer guy is talking himself up a storm." Klaas shrugged in response.
Ulrich nodded in agreement with what Klaas said. "Yeah. Zis type of arrogance is sure to be expected from social media influencers vith a lot of followers." The schlager singer chimed in.
"Tell me about it! Those social media influencers think they're all hot shit, but in reality, they're a bunch of misguidedly ballsy felons who commit crimes against nature with the clothing they wear, the cars they drive, the planes and boats they take to get to their vacation destinations, and the list goes on! They just reek of pollution every which way!" April agreed with Ulrich.
"Sounds like you care a lot for the environment. Are you perhaps an environmentalist?" Miranda asked April curiously.
"Yes, I am. I care deeply about the environment, because we were gifted with this beautiful planet millions of years ago, and throughout the years, we've only managed to damage it with boats, trains, dirty factories, deforestation and so on. With the way we're currently going in the world, this planet is gonna become uninhabitable by the year 2030. And let's be real, is that really what we want to be doing with our lives?" April asked the other passengers that were on the couch with her.
"Well, I've been preparing for years for a scenario that will cause the end of the world. Whether it be zombies, a nuclear disaster, a global financial meltdown or literally anything else that could spell the collapse of civilization as we know it, I'm ready for it." Miranda assured her.
"Sounds like you girls have some interesting home lives. Wish mine was that interesting." Sang-Chul remarked.
"Vhat makes you say zat? Is your home life super boring?" Ulrich asked him curiously.
"Well, compared to what I do for a living, my home life isn't all that interesting. You see, in my home country, I'm actually a well known K-Pop singer. I have thousands of adoring fans, both male and female alike that go absolutely ga ga for me when I go out in public and I usually can't go anywhere in public without signing a cheesy picture of myself. My home life, on the other hand, usually just consists of me helping out my parents with all kinds of household chores or otherwise just relaxing around the house. It's nice to get a break from my adoring fans and performing in the spotlights at home, don't get me wrong. It's just...I don't know, I wish my home life had the same kind of spark as my K-Pop career, know what I'm saying?" Sang-Chul explained.
The other passengers on the couch nodded in understanding. "I feel you, man. You're just used to being a celebrity when you set foot outside your house that when you get home after a long day of work or you're just not performing, it feels like a jarring shift in lifestyle. There's nothing wrong with that." Klaas told Sang-Chul.
Sang-Chul smiled at Klaas. "Thanks, man. Glad I have at least one person who understands me in this competition.
Klaas smiled back and nodded. "Don't mention it. I'm pretty good with people from my poker nights every week." He assured Sang-Chul.
Meanwhile, in the Economy Class lounge, another group of passengers was currently sitting in some seats while conversing over a meal from Chef Louise. This group consisted of Gretchen, Danuja, Aksel, Julius and Ramses.
"Man, this food is truly a treat compared to what contestants have to deal with when Chris McLean and Chef Hatchet are running the show! Goes to show we truly don't know how lucky we have it on this season!" Gretchen grinned as she used her fork to stuff some of the food that was on her plate into her mouth.
"Tell me about it! Signing up for this season was definitely worth my while based on the food!" Aksel grinned as he used his bare hands to stuff a portion of the food into his mouth, which got a few weird looks from the other passengers currently sitting with him.
Ramses proceeded to move a few of the bandages covering his face down to his chin so he could properly eat the food he was currently having. Well, I'm really curious to see what the first destination for this season of Total Drama is going to be, as well as the first challenge we're gonna have to play there. I'm sure it'll be a lot safer compared to whatever Chris McLean would have the contestants go through though." The Egyptian teen remarked.
"Y'know, I never actually got the chance to ask you this before, but...Why are you covered from head to toe in bandages? You know that could greatly hinder your movement while on the show, right?" Gretchen then asked Ramses.
"I'm well aware that it's hindering my movement, but I was dared by my friends back home to dress up like a real life mummy during my time on Total Drama, and if I manage to make it through the entire Total Drama season dressed like this, my friends will treat me to a roasted pigeon dinner." Ramses explained.
Gretchen blinked for a moment at Ramses' explanation but just shrugged her shoulders. "Eh, I'm not one to judge people based on how they act on Total Drama unless they act like huge assholes or complete lunatics, so I wish you luck with trying to complete the dare that your friends gave you." She told the Egyptian teen.
Ramses smiled and nodded. "Thanks. It means a lot that an actual celebrity respects my act for the season." He replied back.
Gretchen smiled back. "Anytime, man." She replied back again before turning to Danuja, noticing she hasn't been adding anything to the conversation and had just been focusing on her food and her drink the whole time. "Hey, Danuja. Why have you been so quiet the whole time?" The muscular Irish girl asked the Japanese girl curiously.
"I just never have anything meaningful to add to a conversation, that's all. Don't pay attention to it, it's probably better that way." Danuja replied in a deadpan tone of voice as she continued to eat.
"Hey, don't say that. Everyone can have something meaningful to add to a conversation, even if they don't think they do. So, is there anything you like to do back home?" Julius asked Danuja, trying to include her in the conversation.
"I like to work out, I like to watch a few Tokusatsu series such as Kamen Rider, and that's about it. Not much else about me that's worth mentioning." Danuja shrugged as Julius just seemed confused by her response.
"Are you really sure? Because I'm sure you've got plenty more to talk about if you want to." Julius told her.
"Maybe another time. For now, I just wanna take it easy until the first challenge comes around." Danuja told him as the rest of the passengers at the table just shrugged and went back to eating.
Further down the Economy Class lounge was another group just casually lounging on a set of couches. This group consisted of Vivian, Iris, Karina, Imran and Tividar. They were currently looking at the group eating in their seats.
"Nyeaaaah...Sounds like they're having a fun conversation alright." Karina mused in her Bugs Bunny voice.
"Tell me 'bout it. 'Specially that Danuja girl is bringing a lot of life to the conversation." Vivian chuckled a bit before turning back to the rest of the group that was sitting with her. "So, your name's Karina, right?" She then asked Karina.
"Yup, that would be me." Karina nodded in her Bugs Bunny voice.
"Based on your impersonation of Bugs Bunny, it sounds like you make a living as a voice actress. Have I got that right?" Vivian asked her again.
"Yep! I've been able to land a lot of roles in the voice-over business with my ability to do so many different impressions of fictional characters! I could give you a demonstration of all the different kinds of voices I can do, but that'd spoil the fun a bit!" Karina explained in her Bugs Bunny voice.
"What do you mean?" Imran asked her curiously, his tiger cub Baljeet currently curled up in a ball on his lap, purring happily as it was sleeping.
"Well, I'm aiming to do a different voice in every episode of Total Drama Patriots I manage to reach. For example, if this first episode of the season is divided into two parts, I will be doing a Bugs Bunny voice for the first part of the first episode, and then I'll do a Miss Piggy voice for the second part of the first episode. And then for the second episode, if I manage to get that far, I'll do a Sonic the Hedgehog voice next. I don't want my different voice impressions to get stale, after all." Karina continued to explain in her Bugs Bunny voice.
"Will you ever let us hear your real voice at some point in the competition?" Iris asked Karina curiously.
"If I end up being eliminated, then yes, I'll allow you to hear my real voice. Not sure if I'll end up getting eliminated at all this season, but we'll have to wait and see as the competition goes on." Karina replied.
Iris nodded at that. "Fair enough." She replied back.
"So, Iris. You mentioned that you joined this show to get away from your work environment. What do you do for a living back home?" Tividar asked Iris curiously.
"Yeah, spill the beans, ma'am! What do you do for a living back home?" Peewee the Doll chimed in.
"I work as a receptionist at a hotel. And it gets incredibly busy the whole day through. I have to keep dealing with customers, checking them in, checking them out, having to deal with them throwing fits over the slightest inconveniences, and the list goes on. I've been doing this for a good number of years now, and it's been wearing me down for a good while now, so when the opportunity to sign up for a new season of Total Drama emerged, I didn't hesitate and signed up immediately to hopefully get a temporary escape from my busy work environment, and here I am." Iris explained.
"Sheesh, I knew hotels were quite a pain to maintain, but I didn't know it could get that bad." Vivian remarked, giving Iris a sympathetic look.
"Well, take it from someone who's been working this job for about two years now, it gets really bad. If you want my advice for a career field, don't take a job in the hotel branch." Iris assured her.
"Don't worry 'bout it, 'cause I ain't interested in bein' a hotel worker. I've got much grander goals in mind." Vivian assured her with a grin.
"Such as?" Imran asked her with a curious eyebrow.
"I'm aspirin' to be a politician, with my ultimate goal to become the first female President of the United States!" Vivian told him with a grin.
The others sitting with Vivian were impressed by that goal. "Whoa, that's quite the grand goal to set in life!" Tividar remarked with an impressed smile.
"Yeah, how are you planning to get there though?" Peewee the Doll chimed in.
"Well, seein' as I just graduated high school with a degree in Politics, my first step is to join the Fort Worth town council, an' from there, I'll plan out the rest of my political career. After all, it's explicitly stated that one of the requirements to qualify fer the presidency is that ya have to be 'least 35 years old, so I've got plenty of time to make steps in my political career 'til I turn 35." Vivian explained.
"Well, I do hope you'll succeed in your goal, Vivian. It sounds like you have the best interests for your country at heart." Iris smiled at Vivian.
"Thanks, Iris. I do hope you'll be able to enjoy yerself while on Total Drama as well so ya can forget 'bout yer busy work environment fer a while." Vivian grinned once more.
-Confessional: Vivian-
"No woman has ever succceeded in takin' office as President of the United States before, but that hasn't stopped women from tryin' before. An' I certainly won't stop tryin' to take office as President in the future. Never shootin' always results in a miss, as I always say."
-End Confessional-
Finally, we find ourselves inside the area where the elimination ceremony takes place. A final group of passengers currently found themselves sitting in the yellow couches where the passengers had to sit for the elimination ceremonies. Said group consisted of Codrin, Bruce, Nala, Tabitha, Marissa and Qiu.
"I gotta say, that Don Albano fella sure went all out with making sure us contestants are living comfortably during our stay on this show! I thought we'd be living in lousy circumstances like contestants do under Chris McLean!" Bruce remarked as he looked around the room.
Tabitha nodded in agreement. "I do agree with that. Even the area for elimination ceremonies looks pretty dang comfy. Not that that makes me wanna end up here or anything, since I'll still be playing for victory in every team challenge that is to come." She chimed in her agreement with Bruce's words.
"I have to say that this is quite the jarring shift in environment. I've spent most my life living off the grid with limited interaction with the outside world, and suddenly I find myself thrown into a flying machine with a large group of people that are each quite noisy or eccentric in their own manner. It is infuriating." Nala huffed as she folded her arms in front of her chest.
Codrin placed his hand on Nala's shoulder. "Hey, don't worry about it, ma'am. I'm sure you'll get used to being around us soon enough, as well as being aboard this plane for the next few weeks." He told the warrior with a reassuring smile before Nala grabbed the hand he put on her shoulder and started squeezing it firmly.
"I do not wish to be touched without my permission. Do I make myself clear?" Nala asked Codrin with a death glare in her eyes as she continued to squeeze the gymnast's hand, which visibly hurt him.
"Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow! Okay, okay, I get it! I won't touch you again without your permission, I'm sorry!" Codrin exclaimed in pain before Nala let go of his hand.
"Good. Because you will have to answer to my spear if you try such a thing again." Nala warned him.
"I'm honestly very excited to be going on this adventure in the coming weeks! I hope I'll be able to see a lot of countries during my time on this show, because I signed up for this show as an excuse to be able to see the world!" Marissa beamed as she swung her legs back and forth in her seat excitedly.
"It's funny you mention that, because my parents signed me up for this show with the intention of getting me out of my personal library and out into the world." Qiu chimed in, not bothering to look up from the book she was reading.
"So your parents felt you were reading too much back home?" Bruce asked her to make sure he understood where she was going with this.
"That is correct, sir. My plan is to put my books away while I'm playing a challenge, and during my down time, I will be reading while occasionally having a chat with my fellow competitors. Hopefully that will bring my parents the results they desire from my participation on this show." Qiu informed him.
"Well, I do hope you'll be able to succeed in that goal, ma'am. I wish you the best of luck on this show." Bruce told Qiu with a smile.
"Likewise, sir." Qiu nodded as she continued to read her book.
"I can't help but wonder what our first destination for this season will be. And I also can't help but wonder what it is that we have to do to decide the teams for this season?" Tabitha mused out loud.
"I'm sure we'll find that out as soon as we arrive at our first destination. I'm sure it shouldn't take too long for us to get there." Codrin remarked in response. Suddenly, the announcement system came on as it began chiming.
"Attention, passengers! We'll be arriving at our first destination shortly! Please make your way over to the plane exit accordingly and depart in an orderly manner! Thank you!" Don called over the announcement system.
We were then shown a shot of the plane landing at the first destination, and we then see Don and the passengers leaving the plane. The passengers were soon standing in front of Don as they looked around the area, seeing snowy and misty mountains, fjords and other beautiful Scandinavian sights as far as the eye could see.
Don was currently dressed in a light blue ski jacket along with a light blue beanie, light blue ski pants and light blue mittens and light blue snow boots. "Passengers, welcome to your first destination of the season: Norway! Known for its breathtaking fjords, its compact and bustling cities, and of course, the Aurora Borealis!" The brown haired host began to explain to the passengers.
The passengers that weren't wearing any warm clothing were provided with warm clothing during their time in Norway. "Whoa, I never thought I'd get to see Norway with my very own eyes in real life..." Marissa muttered as she looked around in awe.
"I just hope that we won't have to stick around this country for too long, because I am already growing tired of wearing this ridiculous outfit." Nala grumbled as she gestured at her winter clothes.
"Sorry, Nala. But the producers insisted that every passenger has to wear warm clothing whenever they visit a country with cold temperatures. We don't want any lawsuits from letting passengers die of hypothermia on our doorstep." Don explained to Nala as the warrior just rolled her eyes.
"So, you said we were gonna form the teams as soon as we got to our first destination, right? What do we have to do to form the teams?" Klaas asked Don curiously.
"Glad you asked, Klaas! The deal is quite simple: The teams will be decided based on the outcome of the first challenge: A footrace to the North Cape!" Don announced as the passengers looked at each other before looking back at Don.
"Here's the deal: You'll all be running a footrace from Honningsvåg to the North Cape. I'll be waiting there for you, and once you cross the finish line we have marked at the North Cape, you will be placed on either Team A or Team B. Once the teams have been formed, I will be announcing the team names, and from there, the two newly formed teams will be dropped straight into their first challenge as teams." Don explained to the passengers.
"Whoa, two challenges in one day? I didn't expect that to happen." Codrin remarked.
"Any questions before we begin the challenge?" Don asked the passengers. None of the passengers appeared to have any questions. "Alright, then let's get set to start this first challenge!"
-Confessional: Taras-
"Back home in the motherland, I do runs in the cold snow on a regular basis. So to run a footrace through the breathtaking environment of Norway makes me feel right at home."
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Marissa-
"As a soccer player, I'm used to running around a lot, and in order to stay in shape for soccer matches, I train myself by going on runs on a regular basis back home in Brazil, so I should be able to handle this first challenge." Marissa said with a cheerful smile.
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Ulrich-
"I have to admit zat I am not in ze best shape for running for extended periods of time, so for me, zis first challenge is a test to see if I have vhat it takes to compete on zis show. I'll have my fingers crossed zat I'll end up on a good team."
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Sabrina-
"As a painter, running a foot race is not really my expertise, but a lot of challenges on Total Drama are probably outside my expertise, so this first challenge is gonna be warming up for all the challenges that are to come going forward. I just hope that I won't end up on a lousy team because of my poor running skill."
-End Confessional-
The passengers were now all at the starting line of the challenge. Don was currently holding a pistol in his hand. "Alright, passengers! Are you all ready for your first challenge?" Don asked the passengers.
"Yeah!" The passengers replied.
"Alright, ready, set, GO!" Don exclaimed as he fired his pistol into the air and the passengers ran off. Suddenly, a bird that Don accidentally shot out of the sky landed in front of the brown haired host and he covered his mouth in shock before grimacing at what just happened.
"That's definitely gonna cause some angry e-mails, alright..." Don awkwardly spoke.
The scene then cut to the passengers running through the Norwegian landscapes, each of them running at a different pace while enjoying the sights around them. Leading the pack were Tabitha, Bruce, Taras and Marissa.
"Crikey, looks like the four of us are some of the fastest runners this season has to offer so far! Impressive, I'd say!" Bruce remarked as he ran next to Tabitha, Taras and Marissa.
Tabitha nodded in agreement. "It definitely seems that way, my friend. No doubt that if we keep running at the pace we're going now, we'll have reached the North Cape in no time and have landed on our teams." She told the maritime officer as she kept going at a good pace.
"I have to say that your skill in running a footrace such as this one leaves an impression on me. I do hope that one of you will end up on a team with me, because I find that people who are on the same level of running skill tend to be like minded in other areas as well, which means that we should be able to get along fine during the competition." Taras told the other passengers that were running alongside him.
"I also hope that I'll be on a team with one of you guys! You all seem like super nice people, and I'd honestly like to be on a team with a lot of super nice people!" Marissa cheered as she also kept up a good running pace.
Following not too far behind the four leading passengers were Henrique, Klaas, Codrin, Nala and Miranda. "Looks like those four in the front are having an easy time with this footrace. Not surprised. One of them is in the navy, one of them is a Russian brickhouse, one of them plays soccer, and I don't know what that blond chick does in her spare time, but she certainly likes to keep herself in shape for that." Klaas remarked as he watched the leaders of the pack.
Codrin nodded his agreement. "Definitely seems that way. I'm just trying to stay ahead far enough so that I won't be first, but I won't be last either. That way, I'm sure I'll still end up on a good team even if I don't cross the finish early." The gymnast chimed in.
"Well, as a wrestler, I have to be in shape at all times, so a run like this is perfect training for my wrestling career." Henrique grinned as he ran next to the rest of the group.
"From what little I've paid attention to while watching wrestling on TV, isn't wrestling just acting while performing various flashy moves?" Miranda asked Henrique as she turned to look at the wrestler while they ran.
"Most of it is acting, yeah. But regardless of it being staged or not, it still has quite a following around the globe, and you have to be in shape in order to keep up with all these crazies in the wrestling world." Henrique told her.
"Those crazies in the wrestling world won't be much crazy any longer if I had a say in the fight." Nala huffed as she ran.
"Sounds like they don't have any meds in the wilderness. Wish they did, since you sound like you could use a chill pill." Klaas joked before being punched in the face by Nala, causing the gambler to groan and clutch his face in pain.
-Confessional: Klaas-
Klaas now had a left black eye, and the gambler was scowling as he folded his arms in front of his chest. "Can't those tribal ladies learn to take a joke?"
-End Confessional-
Further down the road, another group of passengers were running alongside each other, this group consisting of Kate, Danuja, Vivian, Imran, Sang-Chul and Aksel.
"Man, I can't believe I'm actually in Norway...The land of Odin, Thor, and all the other gods worshipped by my ancestors...This feels like a dream come true!" Aksel spoke giddily, feeling like a kid in a candy store in this country.
Vivian laughed a bit. "Yeah, no one feels more at home in Norway than you probably do, partner. This country is your pièce de résistance, so to speak." The patriot spoke with a grin as she ran.
"You know it! It's a shame we'll only be staying here for about a day; They could have left me behind here in Norway and I wouldn't complain!" Aksel grinned back as they ran.
"Glad you feel at home so much in this country, Aksel. I have to admit that while Norway is a beautiful country, it's not a country I would like to live in for the long term. The climate is a bit too cold and I've heard the winters can be quite dreadful around here." Kate joined the conversation as they kept running.
Sang-Chul nodded in agreement. "Yeah, it can get pretty bad up here in the winter. I've been to Norway for a concert before, and while I was exploring one of the cities during a sightseeing tour before the concert, I got a chance to talk to some of the locals, and they told me about how bad the roads are in the winter. Take it from me, the salvagers living in this country make quite a lot of profit during the winter season in Norway with how many cars and trucks tend to slip off the roads up here."
"If people were smart up here, they probably wouldn't go out on the road during the winter unless it's absolutely necessary..." Danuja dryly stated as they ran.
"I'm sure that people try to avoid spending a lot of time on the road in Norway during the winter, Danuja. But the people of this country can't keep themselves within the confines of their home forever. Sometimes it's actually healthy to go out and get some fresh air, you know?" Imran chimed in.
"I'm sure she's aware of that, Imran. No need to pester her 'bout it, y'know?" Vivian told the tiger trainer as they continued to run.
"I'll keep that in mind." Imran nodded as the group continued to run.
Another distance down the road, we find another group of passengers running the footrace to the North Cape, with this group consisting of Ulrich, Julius, Tividar, Iris, Gretchen and April.
"Seems we're finding each other to be at ze back of ze pack, vouldn't you say, my friends?" Ulrich remarked as he saw how many other passengers were in front of them.
"It definitely seems that way, yeah. But fortunately, this is only the first challenge used to decide which team we'll end up on, so we shouldn't worry too much about being at the back of the pack. Sure, it might result in that we'll end up on a less than satisfactory team, but that's a risk you tend to take with a challenge like this on a show like Total Drama." Iris told the schlager singer.
Julius nodded in agreement with Iris' statement. "She does have a point. While it is possible that we'll end up on a team we would rather not end up on, at least we won't have to worry about being eliminated yet. That's something we'll have to worry about when we reach the North Cape and have to play our second challenge." The baker piped up.
"You two said it! We won't really have to worry about bein' eliminated when this first challenge is just for decidin' the teams! Regardless of which team we'll end up on, I'm sure we'll be able to make the most of it!" Gretchen cheered as she ran.
"I just hope that whatever team I end up on isn't much of a group of litterbugs. If they do happen to be such people, then my stay on the show is probably gonna be quite a challenge in itself." April remarked before looking around the area around her.
"I do have to say that I'm happy that we're finding ourselves in Norway for our first challenge. This country's beauty is simply unmatched, and it's a country I would love to retire to when I grow old." April then spoke with a smile.
"It certainly is a beautiful country, Miss April. Hungary is already a sight to behold in itself, but Norway is simply unmatched in beauty." Tividar agreed with April.
"Yeah, here's hoping that the country won't get gentrified, since this country is something real and authentic, and they haven't put a price on real people yet." Peewee the Doll then spoke up.
"I hope so too, Mr. Peewee. If this country gets gentrified, then all hope is lost." April agreed before realizing she was talking to a doll and fell into an awkward silence.
-Confessional: April-
"My first day on this show hasn't concluded yet, and I already find myself talking to a doll out of all people on this show. Only on Total Drama..." The environmentalist sighed and shook her head.
-End Confessional-
Finally, at the very back of the pack, we find the final group of passengers running, consisting of Qiu, Karina, Sabrina, Ramses and Ergin.
While Ergin was running, he was trying to take photos of the landscape with his phone, but was clearly failing at it since he was running. "Yo, man. This is bullshit. I'm tryna take some photos of this beautiful landscape to put on my blog, but I can't 'cause I have to be running for this damn challenge." The influencer pouted as he gave up trying to take photos of the landscape and put away his phone.
"Why were you even allowed to bring your phone with you to the competition anyway? I thought the rules of Total Drama explicitly stated that contact with the outside world wasn't allowed?" Sabrina asked the influencer in confusion.
Ergin then held up his contract. "My contract states that I have influencer privileges that allow me to keep my phone as well as a computer during my stay on the show that allow me to keep in contact with the outside world. An influencer like me can't stay away from the internet too long, or my followers will start thinking I'm dead, y'know?" He told the artist with a smirk before putting his contract away again.
Sabrina rolled her eyes at the influencer. "Remind me to never become an influencer if it means I will become as cocky as you are." She told Ergin before continuing to focus on the footrace.
"Aw, don't let little ol' Ergin get under your skin, Mac. He's just got a big head, like ol' Elmer Fudd over his existence as a Looney Tunes character." Karina told Sabrina in her Bugs Bunny voice.
"I heard that!" Ergin scowled at the voice actress, who opted to ignore him.
In the meantime, Sabrina looked at Ramses. "Hey, Ramses. Are you sure you wanna keep on that mummy costume at all times? I don't think it's very handy to wear that stuff during challenges, especially a running challenge like this one." She told the Egyptian teen.
"I know it's not handy to be wrapped up in bandages like this at all times, but if I ever take off this mummy costume during my time on the show, I'll lose a bet I've got going on with my friends back home, and I'm not planning on losing that bet." Ramses told Sabrina.
Sabrina blinked at the Egyptian teen before shrugging her shoulders. "You do you, I suppose." She replied.
A little while later, we find Don standing at the North Cape, and the brown haired host was awaiting the passengers to arrive there. He then saw the first few passengers making a sprint for the North Cape.
"And here come the first passengers! Let's get them sorted into their teams!" Don exclaimed as Tabitha, Bruce, Taras and Marissa crossed the finish line first.
"Taras, Bruce and Marissa, you'll be on Team A. Go stand over there." Don pointed at a yellow mat, and Taras, Bruce and Marissa nodded in understanding as they ran over to the yellow mat.
"As for you, Tabitha, you'll be on Team B. Go stand over there." Don then turned to Tabitha, pointing at a red mat, and Tabitha nodded as she ran over to the red mat.
Next, Henrique, Klaas, Codrin, Nala and Miranda crossed the finish line and made their way over to Don.
"Codrin, Nala and Miranda...Team A. Henrique and Klaas, Team B." Don told the passengers as they nodded and ran over to their assigned team mats.
After that, Kate, Danuja, Vivian, Imran, Sang-Chul and Aksel arrived at the finish line. "Kate and Danuja, Team A. Vivian, Imran, Sang-Chul and Aksel, Team B." Don informed the passengers before they rushed over to their team mats.
The next group of passengers to arrive was Ulrich, Julius, Tividar, Iris, Gretchen and April. "Tividar, Julius and April. Team A. Iris, Ulrich and Gretchen. Team B." Don told the passengers as they made their way towards the team mats.
Shortly after that, Qiu, Karina, Sabrina, Ramses and Ergin arrived last. "Alright, you lot are the last to arrive at the North Cape! Ramses and Karina, you'll be on Team A, while Qiu, Sabrina and Ergin will be on Team B!" Don told the final group of contestants as they ran to their team mats.
"Alright, all contestants have arrived, and the teams have been formed! Now for the team names! Team A, you'll be known as...The Cheerful Charters!" Don told Team A as a yellow team logo of a plane with a smiling face appeared on the screen.
"Quite the lovely team name we got!" Marissa cheered happily as her teammates nodded in agreement.
"As for Team B, you'll be known as...The Angry Aviators!" Don continued as a red team logo of a plane with an angry face appeared on the screen.
"Lame! Couldn't you have come up with a better team name?" Ergin scoffed while the rest of the team was indifferent to their new name.
"So, we'll be playing the next challenge right away, right? What's the next challenge gonna be?" Tabitha asked Don curiously.
"I'd love to explain, but we're running out of runtime for this episode, so the next challenge will be played in Part 2 of this episode." Don told her before he turned to the camera.
"So we got to meet our 26 passengers who will be joining us on another around the world season, we've reached our first destination, and we've gotten our passengers sorted out into their new teams! Now that we've gotten that out of the way, check in for Part 2, and then we'll be playing our first challenge, and we'll also be seeing our first passenger leave the competition on Total...Drama...Patriots!" Don finished as the episode ended.

And here we are with the first episode of Total Drama Patriots! I was originally intending to release this first episode of the story last year, but I ended up writing so much stories that I burned myself out of writing, so I had to take a hiatus in order to get my creative juices flowing again, and now those creative juices are finally flowing again! Either way, I thank you for patiently waiting for the release of the first episode of Total Drama Patriots, and I hope you'll enjoy Part 2 of this episode whenever I get around to releasing it! :D – Alexneushoorn
