Chapter 2

"Boy Get down here this instant!" Came the angry booming voice of Harry's Uncle. Harry got up from his bed after finally going through all the unopened letters. It was currently 9 am and he had stayed up the rest of the night reading the letters from Ron and Hermione. He was right, Hermione was trying to get him to open up but she went about it in the wrong way, it almost felt like she was scolding him for feeling like this but deep down he knew she was only trying to help. Ron's letters mostly spoke about random things like how he wanted to try out for keeper this year since Quidditch was cancelled due to the Triwizard Tournament last year. Harry cringed as thoughts of the tournament crept into his mind again, the words "Kill the Spare!" always being at the forefront.

"Potter if you don't get down here in the next two seconds you will wish you were never born boy!" His Uncle roared again from downstairs, bringing him from his thoughts. Harry trudged to his door, his cousin's hand-me-down clothes practically hanging off of him. He proceeded to walk downstairs and come face to face with his seething Uncle. His Uncle Vernon was a big beefy man with a moustache, his face was so red he almost looked like a tomato.

"Why isn't breakfast on my table boy? What were you doing all this time? Sending letters to your freaky friends I am sure." His Uncle walked closer to him, getting in his personal space and pointing right at him.

"One more slip up boy, and you are out of here, I don't care what that freaky Professor Dumblydore says, this is my house and I will not have any more of your freakishness. Now get in there and cook the breakfast."

Harry just stared at his Uncle with a blank expression before walking past him and into the kitchen. As he entered he saw his whale of a cousin Dudley sitting there at the table, he looked up at Harry as he entered and scowled at him. "Hurry up Potter, I am starving!" Harry just ignored him and walked past his blonde-haired, with a rats face aunt who watched him closely with a scowl of her own to make sure he didn't break anything.

Harry ignored them all and started cooking the bacon and eggs, as he was frying the food, he would make the coffee for his Aunt and Uncle, while he passed Dudley a glass of orange juice. He threw some pieces of bread in the toaster, the room filled with the sweet smell of bacon, making his stomach rumble slightly.

"Once you are done cooking, you are to eat your breakfast in your room and then you will be back down to finish the garden. I want it all done today or else you won't be getting any meals for the rest of the day. Is that understood?" Said the annoyed voice of Aunt Petunia.

Harry merely grunted, causing his Uncle to angrily repeat what his wife said, "Is that understood, boy!?"

"Yes understood," Harry replied as he started to butter the toast. He placed a couple of slices on each plate and then put the bacon and eggs on top. He placed the plates on the table and the Dursleys started to eat. He stood there waiting to see if he could have anything when his aunt handed him a plate of 1 slice of bread and butter and a glass of water.

"Upstairs now!" His Uncle barked at him, without another word Harry slipped out and went upstairs.

The Burrow

"Hey Ginny, can you help me practice? You know I want to try out for keeper this year?" Ron asked his sister who was currently helping their mother wash the dishes. Ginny wished she could use magic but her mother wouldn't allow her.

"Yeah sure, I was thinking of going flying anyway. Do you want to ask Fred and George to join us?"

"Nah they will just make fun of me up there and going by the noises coming from their room, I think they are testing some new inventions out, for their joke shop after they finish school."

Ginny nodded her head, the twins had told their mother that they intended to start a joke shop in Diagon Alley once they finished school, of course, she objected and said they should get a job at the Ministry like their father and brother Percy. Ginny scowled at the thought of Percy, he was being more of a git recently when it came to his family. He put work first instead of everything else, and Ginny never missed a chance to call him a pompous arse.

"Dad is all for Fred and George opening their shop so he has been trying to help them out by talking to mum, I guess we will see at the end of the school year next July." Said Ron who was starting to walk out back. Ginny followed him out to their makeshift Quidditch pitch, the hoops for Ron to defend were just floating washer machine things that their father brought home to his shed one day to tinker with. Their dad had agreed to let them use them the first day home from school and cast a permanent levitation charm on them.

Ginny picked up their Quaffle and got a broom from the shed, she noticed Ron left the oldest broom behind, causing the small redhead to scowl and take it. She took to the air and saw Ron already guarding the goals. The broom she was on was slow and rickety, it almost felt like it was trying to throw her off. Luckily Ginny was an excellent flyer and was able to keep the Broom under control. Without waiting to ask if Ron was ready, she started flying at the hoops, she went to aim for the left but noticed Ron move towards the left hoop and changed her mind at the last second, she threw the Quaffle and watched it soar into the washer machine and make a resounding metal clang.

Ron retrieved the Quaffle and threw it back to Ginny, he was clearly impressed with her shot going by his facial expression. " Oi Ginny, that was a good shot. Have you ever thought of trying out for Chaser?"

"Yeah of course but I won't get it, Angelina, Alicia, and Katie are still on the team. Besides Angelina will probably be the captain this year so her spot is secure" Ginny said as she caught the Quaffle.

"Yeah well, it won't hurt to try?" Ron said before retaking his place in front of the hoops. They continued to practice, Ron getting better after every shot but Ginny still scored a fair amount to counter Ron's many saves. It was nice to spend time with Ron, they haven't really done that since he went to Hogwarts back in the first year. After the put the brooms away, they walked into the kitchen to see their mother rushing around the kitchen packing what looked like essentials.

"Mum, what are you doing?" Ginny tentatively, their mum stopped and turned to her two youngest children.

"You two go and pack, we are being moved. Professor Dumbledore doesn't think the Burrow will be safe this summer so we are being moved to a new place. Now quickly go and pack."

"Where is it we are going mum?" asked Ron, she just sighed and looked at them again.

Mrs. Weasley quickly shushed them by placing her finger on her lips and showed them a piece of paper with an address on it.

Ginny and Ron wanted to know more but they knew when to ask questions, without another word they went and started packing. An hour later the Weasleys minus Bill, Charlie and Percy stood in the kitchen with trunks ready to go.

"Okay Fred and George, you know the address so you can apparate there, your mother and I will apparate Ron and Ginny, remember don't make a fool out of yourselves. "Said a hurried-looking Mr Weasley. Ginny and Ron took their father's arms and they apparated behind a big building. The twins and Mrs. Weasley following suit. Mr Weasley walked up to a door and opened it, to reveal a long dark hallway. They all got inside but were stopped by a tall black wizard in purple robes.

"Kingsley" Mr Weasley greeted, these are my wife and my kids, everyone this is Kingsley Shacklebolt, he is an Auror at the ministry." They nodded at Kingsley and Kingsley smiled at them all in return.

"Arthur, Dumbledore is here, he said to meet him in the dining room." Said Kingsley as he whispered in Arthurs's ear.

"Thank you Kingsley, Kids, your mother and I have some business so please wait upstairs, and we will get your rooms sorted out later. Hurry along now" Said Mr. Weasley as he started to walk towards the dining room down the hall. Mrs. Weasley hurried her kids up the stairs before closing the door. Leaving them all scowling. They walked up the stairs. They were stopped by an old worn looking house elf.

"Blood traitors, dare besmirch the noble house of Black. Weasleys too, the dark lord will have fun killing you all." Said the vile house elf.

"Ignore him," Ginny said stopping her brothers from pummeling the house-elf, they barged past him and walked upstairs to the landing.

"I wish they would tell us what is going on," Ron said as they sat waiting for anything.

"Well dear brother" Started Fred

"We might have Just the thing" Finished George.

George removed an ear from his pocket causing Ginny and Ron to look at him with confusion. Fred placed his finger on his lips and indicated for them to go over to the landing where they could see the floor below. George started to lower the ear with a roll of string until it hovered over the floor. They could hear the conversation going on behind the door now.

"So Sirius Black is innocent then?" They heard their father's voice say,

"Yes, he is indeed innocent, it was Peter Pettigrew that gave up the Potters to Voldemort." Came the voice of Dumbledore.

"Well Sirius it's nice to meet you officially, I am Arthur and this is Molly, my wife."

"So Dumbledore let's cut to the chase, tell Arthur and Molly why they are here" Came another voice that sounded like Professor Lupin.

"Well, this is the headquarters of the Order of The Phoenix, a secret society I created back during the first war with Voldemort. Sirius has been nice enough to lend us his house to use as headquarters. It is under the Fidelius Charm and I am the secret keeper, it's the reason why you were giving the address on a piece of paper, you can't actually say it out loud.

"So what happens next?" Came the gruff voice of Professor Moody.

"We will start tracking death eater activity, and try and help whenever we can. Minerva and Severus will also help but they are currently back at Hogwarts." Said Dumbledore

"You know I don't trust Snivellus" Came a voice that only Ron recognized, it was the voice of Sirius Black.

"Enough Sirius, it is not ideal for us to keep up these petty feuds, we must stand together if we are to defeat Voldemort." Said Dumbledore

"What about Harry?" Asked Sirius

"I do not want Harry to receive any news this summer, It will only make what he is going through worse."

"The boy deserves to know" Moody replied.

Dumbledore seemed to ignore Moody and started talking to their parents. "Arthur it is imperative that your children don't reveal anything to Harry this summer, I will bring him here when he is ready but for now we must keep him in the dark."

"But Albus, the boy is a part of this more than anything, I would rather he wouldn't be but he is, so why keep him in the dark?" Asked Arthur

"Because it's for the greater good," Dumbledore said with a tone that indicated the end of that discussion.

"I think that will be enough for now, Molly if you would go and set your children up in their rooms thank you."

George quickly pulled the ear back up and they all stared at each other.

"It's not fair that they are keeping Harry in the dark this summer, he deserves to know everything," Said Ginny with a scowl on her face.

"Yeah what is Dumbledore playing at?" Asked Ron

"I dunno but whatever it is, we will probably never know" Said Ginny as their mum came up the stairs.

"Right kids, follow me and I will show you to your rooms."
