-Time Skip Three Years-
Naruto flopped on his bed as he gazed up at the ceiling, Kitsudo curled up next to his head. The past four years have been an eventful few. After the return from Uzu Naruto became close and got to know Akira, who he had taken to calling uncle. He learned about how after the fall of Uzushio, Akira became the apprentice of a wandering shinobi alongside someone named Shima.
He explained how his master was killed by a member of a cult that worshipped Jashin, and how Shima had later joined this cult. Naruto was intrigued by the story as it sounded like a fairytale that Jiji used to read him.
He told him how about eight years ago he was almost killed by one of his bouts with Shima, but was found by some Konaha ninja and taken to the leaf to be healed.
He had met Minato who after finding out that he was an Uzumaki introduced him to, his at the time girlfriend, Kushina. After that Akira and Kushina became close treating each other as brother and sister. Akira left Konaha a few weeks after returning from Uzushiogakure promising to tell anyone of their clan he found to head to Konaha; he also agreed to return every couple of months.
A scratching at the window calmed Naruto's and Kitsudo's attention. Getting up Naruto walked over towards the window and opened it. In climbed a cat with brown fur with a line running down its forehead with three horizontal stripes crossing through it. It wore a red ribbon on its right ear with amber-colored eyes.
"Hello Tora," said Naruto stepping aside letting the cat in. Tora, aka the Fire Daimyo's wife's cat, simply meowed and walked into Naruto's apartment.
The day Naruto met Tora was an interesting one.
-Flashback-
A six year old Naruto was walking down the streets of Konoha with a backpack on his back. Kitsudo was off to the side under his disguise as to not draw attention to him and Naruto. They had just left the Hokage's office after receiving some homework from Hiruzen.
-Meanwhile-
On some nearby roof tops three ninjas with scratch marks covering their faces chased a brown blur with a streak of red. Closing in on the blur it could now be identified as Tora.
Tora looked around trying to find a route for escape, when she noticed a blonde haired boy who she remembered seeing outrun anbu. She leaped at the boy and quickly climbed into his open backpack.
-Naruto POV-
"Get back here you demon!" came a scream from behind Naruto. Turning he saw a trio of ninja charging at him. Off of instinct he took off running. Kitsudo ducked down a side street planning to switch places with Naruto some streets down before leading them away.
-End of Flashback-
With some help from Kitsudo Naruto figured out what Tora was saying. He eventually learned to understand what the feline was saying without Kitsudo's help as if the cat was speaking English. After that Naruto began to teach Tora how to hide and evade the ninja sent after her.
"So let me guess off training because Shijimi gave you another hug of affection," Naruto asked her with evident sarcasm in his voice.
"Yup," came the cats reply as she stretched out the bones in her back popping audibly.
Naruto shook his head, "Just remember our deal. I help you not get caught by other Genin teams and when mine is sent after you."
"I won't scratch you," finished the cat. "I just need to hide for a little bit because this time the sent some green madman who shouts about youth at the top of his lungs, and a masked man after me after me," said the feline covering its ears.
"That's what Guy challenged Dog to. I wondered what crazy challenge he came up with this time," realized Naruto.
Just then a shout came from the distance though by the volume it sounded like it was right outside the window, "Yosh, Kakashi my youthful rival it appears that our target's flames of youth are burning brightly on this fine day." After a brief pause the same voice could be heard shouting, "Curse you Kakashi with your cool and hip ways."
Tora kept her paws on her ears, "I would rather have to hide from the Hyuga. They could see through walls but at least they didn't start shouting until clawed at their hair."
"Well you can hide under the bed I will take you back after a couple of hours claiming I found you in an alley way, or something," said Naruto as he thought about when he met the head of the Hyuga clan.
-Flashback-
A man opened the door to the Hokage's office. In walked a man with pale pupilless white eyes. He was the same man who had killed the Kumogakure shinobi.
"Ah Hiashi I trust that everything has been running smoothly after that incident with Kumo?" asked the Hokage with a smile.
"Aside from my nephew blaming the main family for my brother's death," answered the Hyuga man shaking his head.
"I see. Did you not give him your brother's letter?" wondered Hiruzen.
"I fear it would do no good until he is broken from his fatalistic beliefs," answered the Hiashi, before he noticed something out of place, "Hokage-Sama where is your hat.
The aged leader felt the top of his head for his hat. When he felt nothing he just laughed, "Naruto what have I said about taking my hat and entering my office when I am in a meeting?"
A faint chuckle could be heard. Hiashi activated his Byakugan in order to find the source of the noise but all he saw were the anbu in the rafters before hearing a small thump on Hiruzen's desk. Drawn to the sound he focused his vision on the Hokage's desk however he did not see anything. Deactivating his eyes he was surprised to see a smiling five year old boy he recognized as the Kyuubi's jinchuriki wearing the Hokage's hat.
Briefly the image of another smiling blonde wearing that same hat took his place, "Minato?" he whispered.
"Sorry Jiji," said Naruto as he handed the hat back to the Hokage. He turned to apologize to the other man but froze when he saw the man who had killed the Kumogakure shinobi. He hastily moved behind Hiruzen fearing that the man may attack him.
Hiashi was broken out of his thoughts when he saw the blonde child cowering behind the Hokage who just sighed.
"From what he told me after you appeared and attacked the Kumo Nin he fled believing that you would attack him as well. It appears he is still scared of that happening," explained the Hokage.
Hiashi simply nodded before approaching the boy who only clutched Hiruzen's robes. "It is okay I have no I'll intent towards you for that night," he said in a calming tone.
Naruto still did not let go until his Jiji patted him on his head giving him a reassuring smile.
"I can understand your fear. If I am being perfectly honest at the time I was blind with rage all I saw was red, and when I looked at you I literally saw red. You were cloaked in a red aura of chakra I was about to attack when I saw you running away but when I saw Hinata on the ground unharmed I was able to regain myself long enough to realize who you were. Shortly after you disappeared, a squad of anbu appeared claiming they felt a large burst of chakra. It was at this point that I remembered why I had gone into that blind rage.
-Hyuga Incident: Hiashi POV-
Hiashi walked down the hallway of his clan's compound. He had just finished up with some small clan matters and was on his way to bed when a scream pierced the air.
"Hatomi!" shouted Hiashi in panic realizing who the scream belonged to.
He bolted off to where he heard the scream come from. He gazed through the open door of his daughter's room to see the bloody visage of Hatomi Hyuga.
Hiashi clutched her body sobbing uncontrollably when he faintly felt her pulse. She was alive but needed medical attention immediately. Looking around for help he noticed the broken window and his daughter's empty bed.
"Hiashi," came the weak voice of Hatomi, "Don't worry about me the Kumo embasitor took Hinata."
It was at this time that a wave of demonic chakra swept over the village.
-Hyuga Incident Hiashi POV End-
"If you had not been there I fear that my wife would have died and I would not have been able to save my daughter," said Hiashi in a somber tone.
"I knew it would be a good thing," responded Naruto much to the confusion of Hiashi as Naruto had already explained this to Hiruzen. Realizing he had said it out loud Naruto rubbed the back of his head sheepishly.
Confused Hiashi looked to the Hokage for answers.
Hiruzen sighed; he noticed that he has been doing that a lot whenever Naruto is involved. "About three months ago the same day as the failed kidnapping Naruto was chased by a mob. He wound up in the forest in the forest where he met and somehow befriended the Kyuubi," explained Hiruzen.
"Kurama," said Naruto glaring at the Hokage before continuing, "warned me that if I used his chakra to help I would alert every one of at least chunin rank."
"I guess you were right. It ended up being a good thing," said Hiashi with a chuckle. "I must ask however, how were you able to hide from my Byakugan?" questioned the Hyuga.
"That would because of me," came a voice that all but Hiashi recognized. A small orange fox dropped from the ceiling onto the desk. Upon landing the small fox transformed into an orange hair boy wearing all orange with red eyes sitting in a crouching position.
"Who are you?" asked the Hyuga head.
"Names Kitsudo, personal summons to Konoha's Orange Fox," he answered with chauvinistic bow, "What Naruto did is a technique he gains due to being our summoners."
"I was in aware there was a fox contract, though I will admit if anyone were to have signed it Naruto seems like the most fitting option," said Hiashi keeping a blank face and a monotone despite his growing surprise at the blonde's abilities.
They sat in silence for a few moments before Hiashi broke it, "Well I believe that I should take my leave. The elders have been getting out of hand lately with regards to how I run the clan."
"They still think she is weak don't they?" asked the Sandaime.
Hiashi sighed dropping his head in resignation, "She has not come very fare in her gentle fist due to her kind and caring nature. The elders view this as something unbefitting of a Hyuga, and sadly I can do no more to help her aside from buying time for her to not get sealed."
"Sealed?" asked Naruto tilting his head to the side in confusion.
"The Hyuga is split into two houses the main house and the branch house. The thing separating these two branches in the Caged Bird Seal worn by all members of the side branch. They wish to place Hinata in the branch house and name my youngest that is expected within the next six months."
"They just got added to my prank list," said Naruto pulling out a small folded sheet of paper and a pencil, "Do you have any photos of them so I can make sure I get the right ones?"
The clan head blinked a couple of times before he grinned at the Hokage. "Is there a way for me to hire him for this as a mission?" he asked.
The Hokage returned the grin before responding, "I'll count it as a B rank and it will be marked as such in his file when he becomes genin."
-End of Flashback-
Naruto came out of his memory when he remembered that Hiashi had hired him to prank the clan elders again as they had activated the Caged Bird Seal on a branch member when they tripped spilling tea all over the elders.
Seeing that it was starting to get dark out, and the cries of youth had stopped Naruto decided that now was a good time to bring Tora back to Madame Shijimi. Reaching under his bed he picked up the sleeping Tora and headed off to the Hokage's office.
-Several Hours Later-
Naruto sat atop the Hyuga estate. He was clad in an all-black hoodie with black shinobi pants. He wore a mask similar to the one dog wore under his anbu mask. Kitsudo sat on his back wearing black suit specially designed to his frame. He now resembled Kitsadow. Entering through an open window on the top floor the two pressed up against a wall their suits changing color to match the wall behind them, before moving down the dark hallway towards where the elders meet every day.
"Looks like they added more patrols since last time," commented Kitsudo gazing at the guard passing below them as they hung from the roof. When the guard passed the silently slipped into the room and got to work.
-Next Day Hyuga Elder's Chamber-
The Hyuga Elders entered their chamber so that they may take care of some clan business that fell upon them as elders. When the last elder took his seat an audible click echoed throughout the room as one though crossed all of their minds, "Shit"
Snare traps wrapped around all of their ankles pulling them out and under their chairs. They were then tied together by their wrists, backs facing each other in the center of the room. They were then pelleted by glitter and confetti cannons as the rooms lights turned off and spinning multicolored light illuminated the room as disco music began playing. Naruto and Kitsudo had just turned the Hyuga Elders into a disco ball. Several bright flashes went off. Needless to say the citizens of Konoha got a good laugh that day as images of the event were plastered on the front of every shop and at the counter of every intersection.
Naruto was now sitting at Ichiraku Ramen with Kitsudo. Both of them had their faces buried in a bowl of Storming Sea Ramen.
When Naruto had looked into the golden book her found that inside where dozens upon dozens of recipes for the Uzumaki clan's signature ramen. He had shown the book to Teuchi, the owner and head chef of Ichiraku Ramen, and asked if he could make them. When Teuchi had realized what the recipes were he proudly proclaimed he would promising Naruto the first bowl.
"I still can't believe that you trusted me with those recipes," said Teuchi as he watched Naruto and Kitsudo inhale their bowls of steaming noodles.
"Hey, I knew if anyone could make these ramen recipes the way they are supposed to be made, it is Ichiraku Ramen," said Naruto after gulping down the last of the broth.
"So I take it that you were the ones to place all of those posters of the Hyuga disco ball around the village," asked Teuchi's daughter Ayame.
"I can neither confirm nor deny that fact," responded Naruto with a cheeky grin plastered across his face.
"Let's see how long it takes them to abuse their power again. Next time I say that we really give them hell," said Kitsudo with the same cheeky grin playing on his face.
"I think I saw a special seal in one of my fuinjutsu books that might be useful for an idea I have," stated Naruto flipping through a small book who's cover read, "Fuinjutsu for Beginners: book five."
"Still hard to believe that a seven year old who hasn't even entered the academy is farther along in one of the hardest fields of jutsu than most chunin," said Teuchi shaking his head.
"I am the son of not one but two seal masters on top of being an Uzumaki this stuff is almost literally in my blood," responded the blonde in a deadpan.
"Fair, fair. I guess I can't complain since those two seal masters were also ramen addicts as well as the Uzumaki. Heck your parents were my best customers before you. In fact they had their first date here," laughed the ramen chief. When Teuchi had first seen Naruto as a child he recognized who he was since he was good friends with both of his parents. Since then he and Ayame have treated Naruto like family.
"Being honest I am surprised that no one can notice your likeness to your father," said Ayame sitting on the counter.
"Probably blinded by their fear of the fox," said an annoyed blonde as he ate another bowl of ramen that he had been given.
-Few Hours Later-
"Take a rest. We will continue in a few minutes," instructed Kimimaro.
Naruto and Kimimaro we're in a training field close to the edge of the village.
The Kaguya had been teaching Naruto how to use the Shikotsumyaku since they had return from Uzu.
"So are you excited about being able to join the academy," asked the Kaguya as he handed Naruto a bottle of water.
"Of course I am. This will put me one step closer to being Hokage," exclaimed the energetic blonde.
"Well in that case I hope you like written test," was the Kaguya's response.
"Yeah I'm going to, wait what?" questioned the blonde when the white haired boy's words registered in his mind.
"Yup most of your grade comes from written work, although I have no idea why," said Kimimaro a speculative look on his face.
Naruto groaned realizing that he would have to do a lot studying as opposed to learning jutsu.
