LOVE THAT HAS BEEN LOST CHAPTER 5
Few weeks have passed doctors are being paged, performed surgeries, rounding on patients bu patients, emergencies are coming left and right. Which is a normal day in the hospital, but the change is near and it will never be the same again.
It's an early morning everybody is being page a big trauma is reported and the hospital needed all hands on deck. Usual day in the ER loud, bloody, every minute people are coming in, all in all K.Os. Good thing that Seattle Grace is prepared for anything and have the world class medical team, the patients are being check some are admitted either for surgery or just monitoring, others with minor injuries are being sent home
"Arghhh I feel so exhausted and it's not even noon" Mark complained. Everyone just nod agreeing with hin
Derek, Burke, Jake, Mark are sitting in the cafeteria drinking their coffees. They are thinking of eating an early lunch but they know when they start opening their food they will get page. A curse of being the best, so they just talk about their lives and getting to know each other to strong the bonds while drinking their coffee that they wish an scotch or other kind of alcohol
"So Jake when can we meet your family?" Burke politely asked
"Yeah" both Mark and Derek said
Jake laugh his colleagues seems very interested in his life. Which is he doesn't understand because in the last practice and in the hospital that he worked with before coming to Seattle his colleagues in L.A are different from his colleagues in Seattle there are more involved in each others lives
"You seems interested in my life aren't you" Jake replied while laughing
"Yeah because you seems a happy man" Mark said "And of course we are more interested who is your wife"
"Mark" Derek said in a warning tone and Burke glared at him
"It's ok" Jake said while smiling "well she's definitely an interesting woman I must say. She's very strong, independent, and very stubborn and hard headed"
"Hmmm more like Addie's personality" Derek thought
When Mark look at Derek he knows his thinking the same woman, their best friend it's been 10 years since they've been together the three of them and they misses her everyday.
"So where did you met her?" Burke curiously asked
"Well I met her at the hospital where I worked" Jake laugh as he remembered the they he met his wife "it's funny because when I saw her she was in a gurney blood all over her and unconscious. She was experiencing a head trauma that time, even though she was covered in her own blood I felt.." he stop for a while "have you ever felt that before? Seeing that person out of the blue you fall in love" Jake look at the three men Derek and Burke nodded their heads and they look at Mark waiting for his answer
"Don't ask me that question" Mark said
"Come on Sloan. Have you ever fall in love?" Burke asked
"Yeah men I'm sure there is one special girl that caught your attention" Jake stated, Derek just let a small sound which caused Mark to hit him
But Mark think before answering the question without giving it away because if he answer it he knew Derek will caught it
"Yeah I have" Burke and Derek were shocked of Mark's answer. This is the first time they known it specially Derek because their been in each others live since they were kids and thought he knew everything about Mark so this is a shocked to him.
"Really? I've known you for so long and I didn't know" Derek said
"Who is it?" Burke interrogate
Mark rolled his eyes "look we are not talking about me here. We were talking about Jake's wife" he said sounded a little bit annoyed and hurt because just because his screwing a lot of woman doesn't mean he has no feelings for them or for that one person who he can't have before especially not now.
Jake hear the hinted annoyed and hurt of Mark so he just change the topic Mark smiled at him for noticing and he smile back and easily they talked about sports, what are their plans, surgeries before they got page.
It's been a afternoon for the others when Jake was done with his surgery and patients that's the time he went to his office and check his phone and saw that he got his wife's message from hours ago saying that they are in the airport waiting for their flight, from the looks of it he'll be seeing his wife and kids later tonight and he needs to prepare everything. He got up and went to the Chief's office to ask if he can leave early because his family is in a flight on the way to Seattle
"Of course Dr. Reily, you can leave early just check with you patient before you leave." Richard said
"Yes Chief thank you" and he leaves the office
Richard just stared at the closing door and thinking about what will happen if they know who is Jake's wife. He is worried mostly of Derek this news will turn his life around and his marriage with Meredith.
