LOVE THAT HAS BEEN LOST CHAPTER 9
When Derek is far from them he drops his smile and went to the elevator to go to Richard because he knows that Richard knew something and he didn't tell him. As he walks by every staff are wondering why McDreamy looks pissed, he didn't notice that Meredith and her friends are also watching him
"What's wrong with him?" Cristina asked
"I don't know, he was okay when I saw him earlier" Meredith reply thinking what cause Derek to set off in a blind rage. They here the loud door slammed
"Well McDreamy is McPissed," Izzie said and others laugh except Meredith. She hasn't seen Derek being that mad before she's wondering what happened and she's going to find out later she turned her focus on charts
Derek storm off when he entered the Chief office that causing Richard to jump a little to his sit
"What's wrong with you, Shepherd!?" He said raising his voice. He receives a death glare at Derek
"YOU KNEW SOMETHING DIDN'T YOU AND YOU DIDN'T BOTHER TO TELL ME!!" Derek shouted
Richard knew what he's talking about but he played he has no idea "what are you talking about Derek" still raising his voice
"YOU KNEW SHE'S ALIVE! YOU KNEW AND YOU NEVER TOLD ME"
Richard sigh "her family doesn't want you to know" Derek sits himself down.
He knew that Addison's family isn't happy with them having a relationship with each other, they think that he's just with her for her money because she's a Forbes-Montgomery and she has a 30 Million dollar trust fund who in the right mind say no to that right. But Derek he isn't those, he loved Addison for her being Addison not being a Forbes-Montgomery, and especially not because of her trust fund.
Addison, she was different, she's snob not in a bratty way or anything in a good snob, she's stubborn, doesn't take bullshits to whomever especially to Mark, she's determined, she's humble well sometimes, and million other things about her but most importantly he loved her for loving his family his loud, scary, full of K.Os family. His mom doesn't like Addison because she thinks she's a spoiled little girl who gets whatever she wants, even though his mother wasn't approved, Addison has never disrespected her she respected her opinion it's ok for her because maybe she hasn't got his mother's approval but with his sisters and other family members, she sure hit a jackpot. He still loves her. Derek snaps out, he does that a lot now isn't he.
"What happened to her? She doesn't seem to remember me?"
"She has amnesia she was diagnosed 10 years ago" Richard stops to look at Derek when he remains silent he continues "since the plane crash she was admitted to St. Ambrose hospital in L.A. and all she can remember is before she entered her med school. So that explains her not remembering you or Sloan." He took a breath "a year after I got a call from The Captain he asked me if I can help her to remember all through her med school and as Addie being she is. She did remember all her learnings" He look at Derek once again and there's hope in his eyes that Addison might remember her at some point. Richard just sigh the next part will break his heart "that's all she can remember all the knowledge, the learnings but she doesn't remember anything I tried to make her remember at least about you but the doctor said that it was unexplainable how she remembers the medicine but not the people" hurt can see through Derek "less than a year she took and intern exam, residency exam then she went to fellowship and become the world-class surgeon that she is right now. Addie is born to be a surgeon there's no need for an explanation for that" Derek sad smile he knew also that she's born for it
"How long have you known?"Derek asked calmly concealing his disappointment and anger
"About 9 years ago," he said, and after he said that Derek's calmness went straight to the window
"9 YEARS?! 9 YEARS RICHARD! HAVEN'T YOU SEEN ME IN THOSE TIMES. I WAS A WRECK! THOSE WERE THE TIME I WANT TO END MY LIFE BECAUSE I MISSED HER EVERY DAY!" He started to throw things
"Derek calm down" he tried to make Derek calm down
"I CAN'T CALM DOWN RICHARD! YOU KEPT A SECRET TO ME! I THOUGHT I'M YOUR FRIEND! YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE HER RICHARD YOU WERE THERE"
"That doesn't change anything Derek, you're married she's married" Derek sits down on the floor and cries all his frustrations and aches that he's been holding for years. Richard go to him and let him break down "I love her Richard"
"You're with Meredith now" when Derek just stay silent "Derek, you are married to Meredith now," Richard said with a stern voice
"I still love her, I thought I have moved on but when I saw her again. All my feelings come-" all he felt was a fist landed on his face and felt blood coming from the side of his mouth
"I trusted you with Meredith. I know what you had with Addie, as much as I adore you before you are married now focus on that and stay away from Addison! When I found out that you hurt either Meredith or Addison I swear to God Derek I won't be your friend" he stands up and went to his chair "now get out of my office don't bother me again unless it's about work"
Derek stand up and walk through the door with bruises all Richard heard was the sound of the door slammed.
He let out a sigh and hopes that everything will be alright
