Aqua soared through the starry skies, hot on the trail of a giant Unversed. It was the first one she'd seen of that size in a long time, perhaps it would lead to its mistress.

The Unversed… Aqua thought to herself. Everytime I've defeated one, I feel a negative emotion course through me. The larger they are, the harder the emotions are to bear… If the Unversed come from Adar, does that mean those emotions are hers? Does she have to suffer with that darkness every moment?

Aqua shook herself out of it. How could she possibly be worrying about the enemy?! The one who threatened Terra and Ven and wanted Aqua all to herself? Still, she couldn't help but empathize with her, it was like their hearts were connected.

She saw the Unversed heading towards a massive spaceship that shared its gray color with her glider. Aqua gritted her teeth. "You're not getting away that easily."

Inside the aforementioned ship, a small blue alien was being held upside down with two guns pointed to his head.

"Now don't get any more ideas. The guns are locked to your genetic signature." Growled the Captain who had finally captured him again with a little help. "I have enough to worry about with that spikey-haired prisoner vanishing just after he released you…"

Suddenly, alarms blared accompanied by a voice, "Intruder alert! Intruder alert!"

"Another intruder?! This is the third one today!" He glared between the creature and the door before stomping away. "Alright, you, be a good prisoner this time!"

The creature growled at his back until he was gone. He turned his anger onto the guns, snapping at one. It backed away, adjusting so it was still pointed directly at his head. He growled at the other side and got the same result.

Curiosity lead him to flick his ears up and down, the guns followed.

"Hm…" He drooled a bit and watched the guns follow his dna, leaving him unguarded.

He spat at the wall, leading the guns to fire and melt it away. With the guns preoccupied, the experiment broke his bindings before running out the new hole in the wall.

Aqua quickly scanned the transport room as she dismounted. No Unversed in here.

"So you're the intruder."

She would easily be able to absorb the shot with a shield if he actually fired but held her hands up anyway, she didn't want to make enemies of a possible ally. "My name is Aqua. The creature I've been hunting boarded your ship, if you can, please have all security on high alert until-"

"You don't give the orders, stranger, I do!" Gantu growled. "And if there was another intruder, we'd have detected it!"

Aqua was about to protest when the ship suddenly gave a violent shake, nearly sending them both to the ground. Another alarm begin and a panicked voice called over the intercom, "Intruder in the machinery bay! We've lost control of the engines; It's some kind of monster!"

"Now you tell me!" The Captain growled. He turned to leave before glaring back at her. "Stay right there! I have many unpleasant questions to ask you!"

"This is my fault, I have to get rid of that Unversed!"

She almost tripped when a small, blue and fuzzy creature landed in front of her. He looked up curiously. "Ak-wa? Ven… Ter-rah…"

"Huh? You know Terra and Ven?" Aqua asked in surprise.

"Frien… circle!" As if to answer, he took out a small object. It was made of junk but Aqua could already tell what it was.

"You have a wayfinder?" Aqua asked in surprise. The only way he would've known about them was if he'd gone to the Islands or heard of them. Seeing as the world was closed off, that was impossible. So then… She took out her own and smiled down at it. The spell she cast must've worked, an unbreakable connection. "Terra or Ven must've shown you theirs and so, you made your own, huh?"

The experiment nodded quickly with a little noise that sounded like "Yeah!".

The ship suddenly shook again and a voice rang over the intercom: "The engines are under too much stress, we're risking an explosion!"

"I let my emotions distract me again!" Aqua gasped, shoving her wayfinder back in her pocket. "I have to go, now!"

The creature tried to follow but she shook her head.

"You stay here, it's too dangerous out there for you!"

The experiment sadly watched her go before glancing back down at his wayfinder. "Frien…circle…"

Suddenly, a laser hit the trinket, knocking him onto the ground. The creature saw his treasure was now in pieces and felt rage boil up as he glared at Gantu.

"I don't know how you did it, but you won't get away again. You haven't fooled me." Gantu growled. "You can bat your eyes all you want at the Grand Councilwoman so she'll reconsider your sentence. But I see you for what you really are-an abomination that's only instinct is to destroy everything it touches!"

The experiment gathered up the remains of the wayfinder before growling back at the Captain.

Gantu fired but the creature leapt over it with incredible agility, leaving the laser to blast a hole through the floor instead. He tackled Gantu and managed to swipe his gun away. Then, without much a choice, 626 cannonballed down.

Aqua slid to a stop after reaching the control room. She'd finally found the jellyfish-like Unversed. "No running away this time."

For the second time in this world, Experiment 626 landed from the ceiling in front of her.

"I told you to stay there!" Aqua cried in anger, summoning her keyblade to defend him.

626 seemed upset, growling and barking furiously, although Aqua didn't know who at.

"What's wrong?"

Before he had the chance to answer, as if he even could, the Unversed latched itself on the engine. The lights dimmed and the ship shook again and again.

"Hey! Get away from there!" Aqua yelled. She fired a blast of fire before a laser hit it as well, knocking the thing off. She glanced back to see the creature had shot it. She nodded to him before tugging him over to the engine. "We can't let that monster get back on the engine or else-!"

"Boom-boom!" The creature answered, jumping up and down and creating explosion noises.

"Precisely!"

Aqua blasted out some elemental spells before she froze the wriggling monster in place. She winded up the keyblade before letting it hit the Unversed. Unknowingly to her, the experiment had caught a ride on her keyblade and gave a war cry before landing on top of the thing. "Ah, be careful!"

The creature ignored her, careful wasn't a part of his vocabulary. Friend was. Aqua was Ven and Terra's friend, he had to help her for them. He fired off the blaster again and again.

Aqua ran up the tentacles of the beast to 626. She gave one final stab, causing the Unversed to vanish.

Emotion rushed through her, a great surge of jealousy hit her. Terra. Why did Terra get what I want so badly?!

Her eyes shot open and she sat up at once. Was that jealousy from her because Terra was a master? Or Adar because Terra had her heart? She couldn't tell, she worried it may be both. She couldn't be feeling this…

626 did the complete opposite, he expressed his rage as openly as possible, growling and snapping around at nothing.

Aqua shook away her own worries and bent down to him. "Hey, what's- Agh!"

626 glanced down at his dripping claws before looking back to see Aqua holding her arm tight. He gave a whimper in realization, folding back his ears.

"It's okay, I'll be fine." Aqua assured him. She healed herself quickly before looking back. "Now, can you explain with your words what's going on?"

"Broke…" The creature sniffed, showing her the wayfinder's remains.

"Oh, no wonder you're so upset." Aqua realized. She'd be heartbroken too if hers had been shattered. She clasped his paws around the pieces and gently put them to his heart. "Don't worry, friendship is much more than an object. If it's true… a friendship can never be broken. That being said, I could still try and fix-!"

"Don't waste your effort, human." Aqua turned to see Gantu towering over them, gun pointed to the creature. 626 gave a growl. "You saw for yourself what kind of monster that thing is! All it knows how to do is hurt and destroy!"

"No, you have it wrong!" Aqua gasped, shielding the little creature. "He was the one who helped me defeat the Unversed, he's a very sweet and kind creature if you just-!"

"Sweet? Kind?!" Gantu laughed so hard it made the floor shake. "Something is either wrong with his genetic code or yours if you believe that!"

"Ak-wa… frien!" 626 announced in retaliation.

Aqua nodded. "Yes, we're friends! And there's nothing wrong with that!"

"Save your preaching for the council, 626 is going to be destroyed here and now!"

626 tackled Gantu before he could shoot, sending the giant tumbling to the ground.

Aqua scooped him up and the two escaped into the ship bay.

"Sound the alert! Prisoners on the loose! Don't let them get away!"

The creature hopped into one of the many spacecrafts while Aqua summoned her armor and glider. They shot out into the stars but soon realized they were being chased by the intergalactic police.

"Let's get you somewhere safe!" Aqua called to him. She couldn't stop chasing Adar but she certainly wouldn't leave her new friend stranded in space.

626 nodded in agreement before pulling up a knob. "Hyperdrive has been activated. System charging. Warning. Guidance is not functional. Navigation failure. Do not engage hyperdrive."

"Break formation!" One of the officers in the police cruisers yelled after hearing the voice through their radio. They scattered, leaving 626 and Aqua to the malfunctioning craft.

"They left just like that? Something's wrong." Aqua realized at once. She turned to see 626 shaking his head frantically, yelling wildly at her through the glass. "What's the matter?!"

She flew closer only to get blasted away by a shock wave of light. "Ghaa!"

"AK-WAA!" Her new friend yelled, but they were now separated amongst the stars.
