In the city at night, a winged human figure flies past a street, as a car races along the road. It turns right down it, knocking over a bin as it does, then races off, as three Police Cars chase after it. One came up alongside the car, but the driver rammed his car against the Cop one, making the Cop one hit a yellow car, which caused it to flip over and hit the road upside down.
"AH!" the Officer gasped.
Another thief in the car laughed while lifting up two bags of stolen goods.
The two Cops get out of the car, then looked up, as the winged figure flew past them both.
The second thief sat down and opened up one of the bags, taking out some stolen money, when the winged figure grabbed him.
"AH!" he yelled, as the winged figure picked him up.
The driver kept on driving, when the winged figure grabbed him.
"AH!" he yelled.
The winged figure flew off with them both, causing the car to crash into a lamppost. The two remaining Cop cars pull over near it, then get out and walk towards it.
Raptarr: Long have I watched over the world of man...
Two Cops open up a door on either side of the car, seeing the bags of money.
..and I have been sickened by the ruthless acts of a soulless few.
Both Cops turn and look up, seeing both crooks on the lamppost, one hanging onto it, the other being held up by his jacket. The winged figure flew off towards a construction site.
But through it all, I have learned more of who I am.
The figure flew threw the gaps in a scaffold, before making it to the top.
Some call me 'Hunter'.
The figure perched himself up on top of a support beam on the scaffold.
Some call me 'Protector'. Whatever I am called, I have vowed to be this world's guardian angel.
The figure stood up and looked down at the city, spreading its wings out wide, showing it was male. He jumped off the support and began to fly off through the city, searching for more thugs in the city.
In the city, a man was behind a newspaper stand, looking bored, when a quarter got tossed into his money jar. He picked it up, then tipped it over to catch the quarter, but it fell onto the ground.
"Oh." he said, bending down to get it. "Dagnabbit."
An arrow that was tied to a rope shot down and hit one of the newspapers, then pulled it up towards a building. Once it landed on the rooftop, Mikey approached it and picked it up.
Behind him, Leo and Raph were slashing their weapons together, while Elisa came up behind Leo. He blocked both her Kamas with his right sword, then blocked Raph's Sais with his left, as Donnie and Cath came at him from either side. He blocked Cath's right Tonfa with his left sword, while blocking Donnie's Bo with his right, then backed away slightly, making Cath move away.
"Again!" Leo ordered.
He blocked Donnie's Bo with his left sword, while blocking Raph's Sais with his right, then he spun around and blocked Donnie's Bo with his right, while blocking Raph's left Sai with his left. He then blocked Elisa's Kamas with his right, while blocking Cath's Tonfas with his left, then he turned around, making both girls back away.
Mikey walked forward slightly while reading the newspaper he'd bought.
"Come on, again!" Leo ordered, blocking Raph's Sais and Donnie's Bo with his swords. "Faster, Michelangelo!"
He held both his swords up, blocking Raph's and Donnie's weapons, before lowering his swords, with his brothers weapons locked with them.
"AHH!" Raph gritted.
Leo looked up at Mikey as both girls turned to him.
"Michelangelo!" Leo yelled.
Mikey kept on reading the newspaper.
"Mikey, are you listening?!" Elisa yelled.
Mikey ignored her and kept watching.
"Guess not." Cath muttered, shaking her head.
Leo pulled his swords back, turning around and punching Donnie's chest as he did, knocking him back, as Raph moved away to avoid his swords. Leo then wrapped Donnie's Bo around his arms behind him, then he put it on the roof, while leaning forward. He then spun around on it, kicking Donnie, then Cath and Raph, knocking them all away, then he put his feet down on the roof, and let go of the Bo. He then blocked Elisa's Kamas with his swords as she tried to slash him with them both, before he pulled his swords back and kicked her in the chest, knocking her away.
"OH!" she moaned, hitting the roof on her shell.
Leo turned and jumped towards Mikey, slicing the newspaper in half as he landed in front of him.
"Hey, I was reading that!" Mikey complained.
"You're suppose to be training." Leo argued, as Elisa pulled herself up.
"I was doing mental exercises, you know; reading." Mikey said, waving both halves of the newspaper. "Like when Cath reads one of her books. Little symbols on paper. They make words. Words form sentences."
He held up both halves in front of Leo, as Elisa came over to them, as the others got up.
"Mikey, didn't you learn anything from your Battle Nexus rematch?" Leo asked.
"Yeah? You told me I wouldn't regret helping to train you for that?!" Elisa snarled, putting her hands on her hips.
"And you didn't!" Mikey swore.
"Still, we have to be ready all the time." Leo insisted.
"Ah, young Leonardo, remember what Master Splinter said." Mikey said, touching his shoulders. "Worry leads to fear, fear leads to anger, anger leads to worry."
He turned around, then walked off, scratching his head.
"No. Hold on?" he asked.
A bunch of pigeons began to flap their wings inside a bird aviary, as two large shadowy figures flew in circles in the sky above the rooftop.
"Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to..." Mikey said, stopping near the the aviary, his hand on his chin. "..a dark and moody Leo."
A figure was knocked down and crashed into the aviary, making Mikey dive forward as a smokescreen came up.
"Ah!" the others flinched.
Mikey put his hands on the ground and flipped forward, as his siblings stared at the smokescreen. Mikey turned around, then they all approached it.
"What the shell was that?" Raph wondered.
"I have no idea." Cath said.
Two male figures rose up from the smokescreen on wings, one with normal white ones, the other with metal black ones. They flew around each other, then the white-winged one tried to punch the other in the chest, but the other crossed his forearms over his chest to block it. The white-winged one then flew away as the other tried to slash him with his metal wings.
"Weird." Elisa muttered, finding their appearance familiar. "I feel like I've seen people like them before."
"I know." Cath muttered, finding them familiar as well. "Me too."
The white-winged man twirled around in the air, then kicked his feet against a wall holding a water tower, then dived towards the metal-winged man. He rammed the metal-winged man with his arms and pinned him against a wall.
"This ends now, Mephos!" he said, touching Mephos' shoulder.
"I think not, Raptarr." Mephos smirked.
He grabbed Raptarr's arms and kicked him in the chest with both feet, flipping him over onto the rooftop. Mephos then flew off slightly, before he looked down at Raptarr.
"Living amongst these apes has made you weak." Mephos sneered.
"No, my old friend. Living down here has only made me realize that much more, how wrong you have always been!" Raptarr retorted, clutching his arm.
Mephos put his wings together, making a black diamond drill, then dived down towards Raptarr, who flew away before Mephos could hit him. He spread his wings out and glared at Raptarr, as the Turtles ran towards the scene and stared at them both.
"So...who do we help?" Donnie wondered.
"We're Gods among insects." Mephos snarled, flying up towards Raptarr. "You always refuse to see that."
"That guy certainly doesn't sound too friendly." Mikey noted, pointing at Mephos.
"Won't argue there, Mikey." Cath agreed.
Mephos and Raptarr flew towards each other, then Raptarr grabbed Mephos' hands and threw him towards the water tower, smashing it slightly.
"Maybe we should take them both out." Leo and Raph said together.
"Man, one turtle with 'tude was bad enough." Mikey said, shaking his head.
"Leo, you really are turning into Raph." Cath thought worriedly. "This so isn't like you."
Mephos shot up from the water tower and kicked Raptarr with both feet, knocking him away into the air.
"Ah!" Raptarr moaned.
Mephos grabbed his shoulders and turned him around, holding him still.
"Your lack of vison will be your downfall, old friend." Mephos sneered.
He flew down towards the rooftops, making the Turtles duck to avoid their wings, then he rammed Raptarr into a brick wall.
"Ah!" Raptarr moaned, as Mephos flew off.
The Turtles stared at Raptarr, as Mikey looked down at a piece of paper in front of him.
"Wait a minute. It...It can't be." Mikey said, picking it up, as Donnie and Cath stared at him. "I don't believe it!"
"What?" Donnie asked.
"That guy with the wings." Mikey said.
"Which one?" Cath asked.
"The normal ones. He's the Guardian Angel." Mikey said, looking at the paper.
"Who's the what?" Donnie asked, getting up.
Cath and Mikey got up, as the three elder Turtles came over.
"You should really read a paper once in a while." Mikey said. "The Guardian Angel is all the rage."
He handed Donnie the paper, who then looked at it with Cath.
"He's the new superhero in town. A highly secretive good guy that goes around saving people." Mikey explained, turning to the three elder Turtles.
Mephos landed in front of Raptarr in a three-point stance.
"And right now, he needs my help." Mikey said, pointing at them both, before rubbing his hands. "This is so cool."
Raptarr sat up slightly, as Mephos walked towards him.
"Ah!" Raptarr gasped.
"And now..." Mephos said, stepping on Raptarr's arm. "..it's time to see how you like life without your wings, old friend."
He clicked the ends of his metal wings together above him, then got ready to punch, while Mikey came charging at him.
"Turtle Titan to the rescue!" Mikey yelled, as Mephos turned his head.
Mikey jumped forward and kicked Mephos with both feet as he turned around, knocking Mephos through the wall, smashing it.
"AH!" Mephos yelled.
He fell down towards another rooftop. as Mikey grabbed the handhold left from the rubble.
"Wahoo!" he whooped, flipping upwards.
He landed perched on the rubble, as Mephos kept flying down.
"AH!" Mephos yelled, before hitting a smaller rooftop.
He sat up and looked at Mikey, who looked down at him.
"Wait, Mikey, we'll give you a hand?" Donnie called, making Mikey turn around, seeing his siblings coming towards them.
"No need." Mikey said. "Turtle Titan has everything under control."
Mephos got up and shot towards him quickly, using his left wing to slice open part of the rubble, making Mikey wobble.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa..." Mikey said.
"Mikey, no!" Raph yelled, as Mephos turned around.
"Mikey, hang on!" Cath cried.
"WHOA!" Mikey yelled, falling over, down into an alley. "Aw, shell! Ahh!"
His siblings reached the rubble and looked down the alley.
"Mikey!" Raph yelled.
"NOOOO!" Cath cried.
"Oh, no!" Donnie gasped.
Raptarr sat up and stared at the five Turtles. He then jumped up and swooped down the alley after Mikey.
"I'm too young to die!" Mikey cried, as Raptarr grabbed him by the ankle.
"I've got you." Raptarr said, flying off, with Mikey just inches from the ground.
"AH!" Mikey yelped.
"Don't worry." Raptarr said, flying up towards the roof.
Mephos and the five older Turtles looked down the alley.
"Thank goodness." Cath sighed, touching her heart.
"Yeah." Elisa agreed, relived.
"So foolish." Mephos smirked.
He moved his left wing slightly, shooting a bunch of metal feathers down at the five Turtles. The feathers then shot past them towards Mikey and Raptarr, making the five of them look up.
"What the shell?" Raph gasped.
Raptarr gasped as the feathers shot towards him, then he wrapped his wings around himself and Mikey. The feathers then shot down past him, expect one which hit his right wing.
"AH!" Raptarr moaned.
He let go of Mikey as he began to fall down towards the ground, making Mikey fall with them.
"AHHH!" Mikey screamed. "Not again?!"
He began snapping washing lines with his body as he fell down, with Raptarr doing the same.
"Uh! Ah!" Mikey moaned.
His five siblings all looked down horrified.
"Mikey, no!" Cath cried, fighting tears of worry.
"Ah!" Elisa gasped, covering her mouth with her hand.
"AHH!" Mikey yelled.
He hit and crashed into an open dumpster, while Raptarr hit a pile of boxes and garbage bags.
"Ah!" he moaned.
A old pair of underwear soared down and landed on Mikey's face.
"Ewww." he said, sitting up, before he took the underwear off his head. "Yuck!"
He threw it away, then jumped out of the dumpster and ran towards Raptarr.
"Ah!" Raptarr moaned, touching the side of his head.
He sat up as Mikey came up towards him.
"Are you okay?" Mikey asked, crouching down beside him.
"I think...I think so." Raptarr said.
On the rooftop, the other five Turtles all looked down at them both.
"They made it!" Raph whooped.
"That's a relief." Cath sighed, touching her heart.
"Where'd the other one go?" Leo wondered.
Elisa turned around, just as Mephos came soaring towards them all.
"Guys, look out!" Elisa yelled.
Her warning came too late though, as Mephos knocked them all down with his wings.
"Ah!" they yelped.
Mephos then shot down towards Mikey and Raptarr, just as Leo got up and looked down on them.
"Mikey, look out!" Leo called.
Mikey had Raptarr's arm wrapped around him, when Mephos came flying towards him from behind them. They both turned around before he rammed them with his wings, knocking them both away as he stopped flying.
"Uh!" Mikey moaned, hitting his shell against a dumpster.
He fell onto his chest, as Raptarr was knocked right into a wall.
"Uh!" he moaned, falling unconscious.
Mephos landed near Raptarr, then approached him.
The other Turtles all jumped off the roof and dived down towards the alley.
"Mikey!" Leo called.
"Hang on, bro!" Raph called, as they jumped from one fire escape legged to another on ether side of it.
"We're coming, Mikey!" Cath called.
Mephos crouched down near Raptarr.
"At last, the diadem." he said, pulling off a headband off Raptarr, which had a crystal on. "You will not need this anymore, Raptarr."
He got up and held his arms up.
"And now, to put an long overdue end to our friendship." he said, as the Turtles landed on the edges of fire escapes behind him - Raph and Elisa on his right, the others his left.
He moved towards Raptarr, when Leo dived down and kicked his feet against a wall, then dived towards Mephos, kicking him in the back, knocking him away.
"Uh!" Mephos moaned, as Leo landed near Raptarr.
"Bring it, fly-boy!" Leo roared.
Mephos hit the ground and skidded along it.
"Ah!" he moaned.
Raph and Elisa both jumped down and landed in front of him.
"If you got the guts!" Raph snarled.
"And if you dare?" Elisa added angrily.
Donnie and Cath both jumped down and landed near Mikey, as Mephos looked at the elder Turtles.
"Foul creatures. Go back and crawl into whatever swamp vomited you forth!" he snarled, getting up, as did Mikey. "I have what I need for now."
He shot up towards the sky and flew away, as all six Turtles looked at him.
"Ah!" Raptarr moaned.
The Turtles all turned around and ran towards him.
"So what do we do about this guy?" Raph asked, putting his Sais away.
Cath put her Tonfas away as Raptarr passed out, then she checked on him.
"How is he?" Mikey asked.
"He's still alive." Cath said. "But I really need my kit to help him, and that's in the lair."
"We'll take him with us then." Leo said. "Come on."
Later, in the lair, the Turtles and Raptarr were, when Raptarr woke up on the couch, seeing Splinter, Cath and Mikey near him, while Leo stood behind him, the others on his left.
"He is regaining consciousness." Splinter noted.
"Where am I?" Raptarr asked, looking around. "This place...it is a Y'Lyntain stronghold.
"Yeah, well, that's a long story." Raph explained.
"You're the guy the papers call the 'Guardian Angel'." Mikey said, pointing at scrapbook he held. "I got all the clippings."
He jumped onto the couch's armrest, opening up the scrapbook as he did.
"You're famous." he said.
Raptarr tried to sit up, when Splinter pushed him down carefully.
"You have damaged one of your wings." Splinter explained.
"From the metal feather that was wedged into it." Cath added. "I managed to get it out of you though."
"Thank you." Raptarr said.
"It's still injured though, and there is nothing Catharina can do." Splinter explained. "Just hold still?"
He put his hands together, then put his left hand on Raptarr's wing, while putting two fingers from his right on Raptarr's chest. He then dug his fingers into Raptarr's arm.
"Ah!" Raptarr flinched, before hearing a cracking sound. "Ah."
Splinter lifted his hands up and smiled.
Raptarr sat up and rubbed his arm, then stood up as the Mutant family all stared at him.
"It is much better." he noted, rubbing his arm.
"I simply manipulated pressure points in your shoulder to redirect the flow of chi in your wing." Splinter explained.
"Thank you. And you for..." Raptarr began, looking at Cath, before he remembered Mephos. "Mephos!"
He touched his forehead, not feeling the diadem.
"The diadem? Where is it?" he asked frantically.
"Uh, if you mean your headband, that guy with the metal wings took it." Donnie explained.
"NOOO!" Raptarr cried. "It will spell the downfall of my people. With it, Mephos will spark a new civil war. Countless innocent lives with perish."
"War?" Cath questioned, horrified.
"Don't sweat it, Mr. Guardian Angel, sir. We'll just kick tin wing's butt and get your diadem thingy back." Mikey said.
"I cannot ask you to help." Raptarr said. "I am already in your debt, and where I come from that is no small thing."
"And you saved Mikey." Leo recalled. "We take that pretty seriously too. We'll help you, but we need to know everything."
"Including this war you're talking about." Cath said.
"Very well. My name is Raptarr." Raptarr began, spreading his wings. "I am an Avian."
"I knew it." Donnie said.
"I thought I'd seen people like you before." Cath said.
"Same here." Elisa said.
"We were a race of beings created as slaves by the ancient Y'Lyntians many eons ago." Raptarr explained.
(Flashback)
On the Y'Lyntain island, a bunch of floating objects fly around near the island, including a domed sphere floating city on a chain.
"Y'lyntia was a world of wonders."
The Sun Crystal shined brightly over the island.
"Through the limitless power of their Crystal Sun, the Y'Lyntians had built a utopian society..."
In the city on the island, two Y'Lyntains were painting a picture each, while another two were lying back watching them.
"..far ahead of its time, but it had its dark side."
A Y'Lyntain approached a statue, then cracked a whip against the ground.
"We Avians were treated like animals by our cruel Y'Lyntian task masters."
The Y'Lyntain hit his whip on an Avain's back.
"AH!" the Avain's yelped.
He and three others flew up into the sky with the statue, carried a chain each to haul it up.
"We were worked like slaves to build their paradise, and forced to live apart in a floating cage so we would not befoul their precious city with our inferior presence."
The Avains flew off with the statue, past their sphere dome city.
Years later, a Y'Lyantains looked at the ocean from a window, while another from the top of the building blew a blowhorn.
"Then one day there was war. The outside world had had enough of Y'Lyntia's iron fisted rule."
A fleet of old warships approach the island of the Y'Lyntains, then a few fired boulders from catapults and arrows at the Y'Lyntains.
"Ah!" some panicked, running away.
The boulders hit the buildings, smashing them to pieces.
"And so had we."
Three Avains flew down towards a rowboat with three Y'Lyntains on.
"The slaves of..."
The Avians pick up an Y'Lyntain each and fly off with them.
"..Y'Lyntia united against our cruel slave masters."
A bunch of mercreatures ran towards an Y'Lyntain angrily. One then stopped and snapped the chains on its hands, freeing itself.
"The rebellion raged."
A dozen Avians flew past burning buildings on the island, then stopped and threw a spear towards the ground each.
"Irony of ironies, it was our birdcage prison that in the end, saved us all."
Six Avians began metal staffs against the chain holding the dome.
"My ancestors managed to free it from its tether..."
The chain comes loose, then the dome city began to fly up towards the sky.
"..as Y'Lyntia finally sank beneath the waves."
The Avians all flew towards the city, as the island sank beneath the ocean.
"Salvaging precious fragments..."
Six Avians flew up with part of the Crystal Sun.
"..of the Y'Lyntian Crystal Sun, the Avians combined..."
Inside a chamber, a bunch of Avians began talking to each other.
"..the shards into an incredibly powerful energy core."
One approaches the crystal made from the fragments, then raised his arms out as it glowed.
"Powerful enough to keep our floating area locked forever."
A magical forcefield came up around the city, shielding it from the bad air of the sky.
"Their prison had been transformed into a home. My people were free."
Three Avians flew around the city, past the main building, then another three joined them.
"For centuries, we Avians kept ourselves cut off from the outside world. But there were those..."
A bunch of Avians meet in the chamber and argue, including Raptarr and Mephos.
"..who believed we were destined to rule over the surface world, not to hide from it."
Mephos had his arms folded as he listened to the others argue.
"The leader of this movement was my best friend and comrade, Mephos."
Mephos hovered in the city while flapping his wings.
"ATTACK!" Mephos ordered, pointing at the chamber.
His followers all flew towards the chamber with staffs.
"He led his followers in a revolt that pitted Avian against Avian, brother against brother."
Mephos' troops all stopped flying, as more Avians flew toward them - including Raptarr. He and Mephos slash staffs together, gritting as they did, then other Avians began to fight each other with staffs.
Soon, the war was over as the city remained silent.
"The war ended with Mephos's capture."
Two Avians flew Mephos down to a street in New York, his wings now gone, expect for stumps.
"For his crimes against our people, the Avian council sentenced Mephos to be exiled to the surface world for all time, his wings taken from him."
The Avians flew into an alleyway, then dumped Mephos on the ground, before flying off. Mephos touched what was left of his natural wings and gasped.
"No! NOOOO!" he cried. "NOOOOOO!"
On a rooftop in the alley, Raptarr looked down at Mephos.
"I stayed on the surface world to watch Mephos, and to stop his attempts to return to the Avian city."
(Flashback ends)
Raptarr sat on the couch, as the Turtles and Splinter kept listening to his story.
"Living here, in your world, I have learned much and have been able to help those in need. And, I have stopped Mephos's plan several times." he explained, leaning forward. "But now, with my diadem, he will be able to find the Avian city and enter it unopposed. The surface world is doomed."
In the sky, Mephos was flying as quickly as he could on his metal wings.
"Imagine, a floating city that can only be detected by a crystal diadem, the immense power of the crystal energy core makes the Avian city an unspeakable weapon of mass destruction." Raptarr sighed.
Mephos flew through the clouds, before he spotted the Avian City ahead of him.
"And soon, it will be Mephos' to command."
Mephos flew towards the bottom of the Avian City shield, then flew up through a tunnel, entering the city. He spun around for a minute, then landed on all fours on the ground of the city. He got up, as a bunch of Avians in orange armour and red masks stared at him, all armed with staffs, but then lowered them, as they were his followers.
"Lord Mephos, we have awaited your return." one said, as they all began bowing on their knees. "All sentries have been taken care of expect those at the entry tunnel. As soon as we received your signal, my Lord, we imprisoned the Avian Council."
Mephos approached him, before the Avian held up three fingers.
"All but three elders, who have hold up in the Crystal Tower." the Avian explained, getting up and pointing at it.
"Have they now?" Mephos inquired. "Rise, rise up my faithful ones."
His men all got up and looked at him.
"Revolution once freed us from the tyranny of the Y'Lyntains, and now a revolution shall usher in a new age, where Avians shall rule the planet!" Mephos declared.
His men all roared and cheered. "Yeah! Yeah!"
In the lair, Raptarr was pacing around outside Donnie's lab, before he approached Donnie, who stood by a table, that had a covering over.
"Donnie, we going or what?" Mikey asked, as the other Turtles and Splinter approached them.
"We're going." Donnie assured. "Prepare to be amazed."
He pulled the cover off the table, showing six different high-tech packs of different colors. One was light blue with a shell shaped back, one was white with bits of pink on, one was sliver with bits of navy on, while another was silver with orange bits on, one was pink with bits of white on, and the last was yellow with a small breathing tank on either side.
"Tech pack thingies?" Mikey questioned.
"What's so amazing about that, hotshot?" Raph asked.
"Yeah, care to explain, Don?" Cath asked.
"How nice of you to ask." Donnie smirked, picking up the third one up. "Just watch and be amazed?"
He put it on his shell, then turned around, then a wing came out of either end of the pack, along with something from the bottom.
"Cool." Mikey said, rubbing his hands.
"I've been working on an upgraded version of the tech-pack that can fly." Donnie explained, turning around.
"Well, nice to know." Cath said. "Those are really gonna come in handy."
"But we still have a problem." Leo said. "Without a crystal diadem, we won't be able to find the city."
Raptarr turned around, looking at the ceiling.
"But, your home is a Y'Lyntain outpost. Surely their must be Y'Lyntain power crystals here." he said.
"Um, we kinda used them all to help some of our friends." Mikey explained, remembering the underground monsters they cured last year.
"It's a really long story." Donnie said, rubbing the back of his head, as Raptarr turned around.
"Pretty long story too." Elisa sighed, folding her arms. "We'll tell you later, if you want."
"What of the Memory Crystal?" Raptarr inquired.
The Mutant family all looked confused, with Mikey scratching his head.
"Uh, what you talking about?" Elisa asked, confused.
"Let us see." Raptarr said, approaching a pillar.
He touched a symbol on it with two fingers.
"Here." he said.
He ran his fingers along the symbol, lighting it up, followed by the pillar. The light reached the ceiling, lighting it up brightly.
"It is still here." Raptarr said.
Everyone looked at the ceiling, as a platform fell down towards the river pond, which had a crystal shaped like the Crystal Moon from the Underground city. Raptarr flew towards it, landing on the bridge, as the Turtles and Splinter stared at it.
"Whoa." Mikey said.
Raptarr pulled some of the crystals off the big crystal, then turned around.
"Prefect. These will do." he said.
He jumped towards the Turtles, as they jumped down.
"Whoa." Mikey said.
"Where'd that come from?" Raph wondered.
"I didn't know that was there." Cath swore.
"I thought I scanned the whole lair from top to bottom for crystals." Donnie said. "How?"
"It's an Avian thing." Raptarr answered.
Later, Raptarr and the Turtles all stood on the edge of a rooftop, the Turtles all wearing the flight tech-packs. Mikey wore the silver and orange one, Elisa the pink, Cath the white, Leo the light blue, and Raph the yellow one, with all but Donnie wearing a helmet with them. They all stared at Splinter, as he approached them, Raptarr who held a crystal.
"Your hospitality has been most generous." Raptarr said, putting his hands together. "Thank you, Splinter."
He bowed his head, as Splinter did the same, then Raptarr turned and jumped off the rooftop.
"Oh!" Mikey yelped, wobbling slightly.
"Be careful, my children." Splinter said.
"Piece of cake, Sensei. These things are safe, right Donnie?" Mikey asked, turning to Donnie. "You've tested them?"
"Uh...not exactly." Donnie admitted.
"Oh, great!" Cath moaned, facepalming herself. "Nice work, Don!"
"Hey, I haven't had the time, sis." Donnie swore.
"He's right. This will be the test flight." Leo said, spreading his tech-pack's wings.
He jumped off the rooftop, then rockets shot up from his tech-pack, flying him up towards Raptarr.
"Leo, wait up?!" Raph called.
The rockets on his tech-pack shot him up after Leo.
"Yee-haw!" he whooped.
"Hey, wait for me?!" Elisa called, as her tech-pack shot her up into the sky.
Donnie put his helmet on, as he, Cath and Mikey powered up their tech-packs, then flew off after Raptarr and their older siblings.
"Wahoo!" Mikey whooped.
Splinter watched as his children and Raptarr flew off into the sky.
The next morning, in the Avian City, Mephos and his followers all flew past several buildings towards the Crystal Tower.
"Come! Come, let us pay our respects to the Avian Council." he said.
They all landed on the main road towards the tower, then began to approach it. Mephos then jumped up and turned his wings into their drill mode, diving towards the door.
Inside, the three elder Avians stood in a room, turning to a doorway as they heard a noise. Mephos broke down the door with his wings, then turned them off drill mode, and glared at the elders, as his followers entered the tower.
"Mephos, you are not welcome here." the Head Councilman said. "Why have you dared to return?"
Mephos approached him, then sniggered while touching a green crystal around the Councilman's neck.
"For this." he said, snatching it.
"Oh!" the Head Councilman gasped.
"Now that I have the key to the Crystal, I have all that I truly need." Mephos said.
He shot up and flew towards the ceiling, as his followers approached the Council.
"Ah!" the Head Councilman gasped.
Mephos landed on a large crate like object, then put the crystal down on the control panel, power it up.
"No, you must not tamper with the Crystal!" a Councilman exclaimed.
"I really must." Mephos insisted. "Because you see, the key to controlling Avian City is controlling the Crystal, and this city is the key to controlling the world."
A large door opened up in front of him, showing the Crystal that powered the city, being held in a claw-shaped holder.
In the sky outside, Raptarr and the Turtles all kept flying, Raptarr holding the crystal to guide them.
"Remember the plan. Mephos' dire focus should be his undoing." Raptarr explained.
"One question; are we there yet?" Mikey asked.
Raptarr looked at the crystal, which glowed brightly.
"Actually, yes." he said.
"Well, that's good." Elisa said. "I'm getting a bit sick of just seeing clouds up here."
Raptarr smiled before he flew off.
"Wow." Mikey said amazed.
"You said it, Mikey." Donnie said.
They all then saw the Avian City up ahead.
"Whoa. It's a whole different that I thought." Cath admitted.
"What? You thought it might be more like a birdcage or bird's nest?" Raph joked.
"No!" Cath frowned, rolling her eyes.
In the city, Mephos stared at the Crystal, while getting up on the panel.
"Now, you will witness the true power of the Crystal." he said, getting up, as green energy went into his hands.
The Crystal began to light up brightly, creating a beam of energy around it, which sent beams of energy out of the tower and through the city.
"No, Mephos! You could destroy the city!" the Head Councilman exclaimed.
"A city perhaps, but not this one." Mephos said, turning around. "Now, time to let loose one of the Gods thunderbolts."
An energy bolt shoots up from the tower towards the top of the dome, which spread all over the city. A blast beam then shot down from it and hit a snow covered mountain, destroying it, as the people in a nearby village look worried.
"Ah!" some gasped. "AHH!"
They all turned around and ran away as rocks began to fall off the mountain like an avalanche, but they stopped short of the village.
(Avian City)
Mephos flew up off the panel, as his followers and the Councilmen stared at the Crystal.
"Excellent." Mephos said. "Now, we should destroy one of the surface crawlers cities. Let's say, Seattle."
His followers turned as a shadowy Avian figure entered through the front door.
"I think not, Mephos!" it roared, revealing it was Raptarr.
Mephos turned to the door, as Raptar came out of the shadows, along with the Turtles, the elder three on his right, the younger three on his left.
"Remember us?" Mikey asked, pointing at himself. "Well, now we got wings."
He activated the wings on his tech-pack, then his siblings did the same, before they and Raptarr and flew into the room. Raptarr held a staff as they stopped and hovered above the ground, staring at Mephos, his followers, and the Councilmen.
"Destroy them!" Mephos commanded.
His followers and flew up towards Raptarr and the Turtles, as the Turtles dived down to attack them.
Leo spun his swords around as he flew up into the air, then blocked two Avians staffs with them, locking the together. They both pulled away from him as he tried to slash them with his swords, then he flew up as they tried to slash him, back flipping through the air as he did. He then shot down and slashed his swords against their weapons as he flew past them both.
Elisa flew up past two Avians as they tried to slash her with their staffs, then she turned and shot down towards them. They both backed away as she tried to slash them with her Kamas, but then she spun around in mid-air and split kicked them both while being upside down, knocking them away.
"AHH!" they moaned.
Mikey flew down and levelled out near the floor, as a two large knives almost hit him, then he flew up as two Avians chased after him. He stopped in mid-air and spun his Nunchucks around, before he back flipped and wrapped the ends of them around the Avians staffs.
"AHH!" a Avian moaned, as Mikey pulled them both down.
Mikey flew down towards the ground with them, before they fell and hit the floor.
"Ah!" they moaned.
Cath flew down as one tried to slash her with his staff, then flew upwards and kicked another in the chest with both feet as she back flipped through the air, knocking him away. She turned to the first as he came at her, then blocked his staff with her Tonfas by crossing them over, then she pulled them back, then whacked him in the belly with her left one, then in the back between his wings with her right, knocking him down.
Raph slashed his Sais against two of them, who blocked them with their staffs, locking them together as they all flew up into the air.
"Ah!" Raph gritted.
He flew off as the Avians both tried to hit him, then he crossed his Sais over to block ones staff, before he back flipped away and kicked the other with both feet.
"Oh!" the Avian moaned.
Raph then flew off as the other tried to hit him, then Donnie came up behind the Avian and whacked him away with his Bo.
"Oh!" the Avian moaned.
Donnie turned and blocked another's staff with his Bo, as Raph and Mikey both flew towards each other. They linked their arms together as they flipped through the air, then shot down towards the ground, Mikey heading for the Avian near Donnie.
"Turtle from above!" Mikey yelled, hitting the Avian with his Nunchucks, knocking him away.
He and Donnie flew past each other.
Leo flew up towards one, then knocked his staff up into the air with his right sword, shocking him.
"Ah!" the Avian gasped.
Donnie knocked the staff down with his Bo as he flew past it, making the staff hit the Avian's back, knocking him down.
"OH!" he moaned.
Leo turned around to another, just as Donnie dived down and knocked him away with his Bo. He sniggered while looking at Leo, then both brothers flew off.
Elisa flew down towards the ground as one chased her, while Cath was being chased by another as she flew up towards they ceiling. They both spotted each other and nodded, then flew past each other, then kicked the Avian chasing their sister with both legs, knocking them away.
"AHH!" the Avians moaned.
Both sisters flew towards each other, then looked at each other.
"Nice move, sis." Cath remarked.
"Back at you." Elisa agreed, as they fist-bumped each other.
They both turned as Raptarr flew past them towards Mephos, as the Councilmen all ran off worried. Mephos flew up off the panel, then he and Raptarr stared at each other, then he dodged past Raptarr as he tried to punch him, before they turned to each other. They locked both their hands together, grappling and wrestling each other as they spun around in the air. They both flew off away from the Crystal, but then Raptarr - who was higher than Mephos - hit his head against a archway between two pillars.
"AH!" Raptarr moaned, before gritting his teeth. "AH!"
He rammed Mephos into the top of the archway, then spun around while holding Mephos, before throwing him away.
"Yah!" Raptarr yelled.
Mephos shot down and crashed into one of his followers, knocking him away as he kicked his feet against him, then he shot up past Raptarr. He then turned to Raptarr, then they began grappling and wrestling each other again, as they flew off.
An Avian flew up slightly, before Mikey dived down and kicked him away. Another then flew up and looked at Mikey, then Donnie came swooping in behind him, and hit his legs with his Bo, making him spin around in the air, before Raph shot up and rammed him into the archway.
"Uh!" the Avian moaned, hitting the ground.
Raph flew towards his siblings, as they all stared at all of Mephos' followers, who lay unconscious on the ground.
"Wow. We're out Avian the Avians." Mikey said.
The Councilmen all approached the control panel, when Mephos shot down and pinned Raptarr on it.
"Ah!" they gasped, running off.
"You could still join me, Raptarr. What Titans we could be." Mephos said, lifting Raptarr up. "With the power of the crystal, we could be Lords of the land and sky."
"Join with you? You are mad! You'll lose more than your wings this time, Mephos." Raptarr warned.
He kicked Mephos with both feet, freeing him from his former friend's grip, then he flew up slightly. Mephos however then wedged his metal wings into one of Raptarr's, then threw him down onto the ground.
"Ah!" Raptar moaned, before Mephos threw him away. "AHH!"
Mephos flew after Raptarr, and then pinned him against a wall, before he grabbed him and spun around, banging him agaisnt it again.
"AH!" Raptarr moaned.
He flew down towards the floor, as Mephos kept hold of his right wing.
"Then you will have to perish." Mephos said. "I see that wing just hasn't had time to heal, has it?"
He hit Raptarr's wing with his elbow.
"AGGHHH!" Raptarr cried painfully.
Mephos picked him up and threw him to the ground.
"Ah!" he moaned.
Mephos flew up and landed on top of Raptarr.
"Ah!" he winced.
"This was your big plan, Raptarr?" Mephos scoffed. "Fly in here and be defeated by me? Pathetic."
"Actually, the plan was that I distract you long enough to allow my friends time to take the Key Crystal, and it seems to have worked." Raptarr explained, grinning.
Mephos looked horrified, before he turned around, and saw the Turtles flying towards the Crystal. All but Mikey landed on the panel, then Raph pulled the crystal out of it.
"Lookie what we've found." he joked.
"You dirty surface creatures dare to befoul the scared Crystal Key by touching it?!" Mephos scowled, as Raph passed it to Donnie in the air, who passed it to Leo. "I will destroy you all!"
He tried to grab Leo, who dived down and flew beneath him, then Leo skidded on his knees and handed the crystal to Cath.
"You wouldn't be the first who's tried to, Mephos." Cath scoffed.
Mephos turned around and flew towards her, but missed as she flew up over him, then dived down and gave the crystal to Mikey.
"You really want it? It's right here." Mikey said. "Hurry, I'm befouling it by touching it. Lots of befouling going on here."
He threw the crystal between his hands, as Mephos turned around.
"AGHH!" he growled.
He flew towards Mikey, who flew up as he tried to grab him, then he shot up after him. Mikey kicked his feet against the archway, then shot down from it, then Mephos did the same and dived after him, making Mikey laugh.
"You want it so bad, then fetch it?" Mikey dared, tossing it away.
He flew up as Mephos flew after the Key Crystal, which shot towards the Core Crystal.
"I must have the Key Crystal." Mephos said.
He grabbed it, then held it up and laughed, before power from the Core Crystal shot into the Key Crystal.
"Huh?" he gasped, before seeing he was too close to the Core Crystal. "What? NO! I'm too close! Too close! NOOO!"
Raptarr and the Turtles all stared at him, Raptarr sitting up as the Turtles landed near him, then they shielded their eyes with their forearms from the light.
"AAGGGHHHH!" Mephos screamed, as the energy hit him like lighting.
The power sent him flying away into a wall, making him drop the Key Crystal. A Councilman caught it, then flew towards the control panel and put it in, shutting down the Core Crystal. It lowered itself down, showing Mephos had been fried slightly by the energy, as his hair was a mess, and his metal wings ruined slightly.
"Ah..." he grumbled.
Later, Mephos was imprisoned in a cell in a jail, his metal wings stripped of him, as well as his shirt. His followers had all suffered a similar fate, being in cells all around the jail.
The next morning, Raptarr and the Turtles were with the Head Councilman on a balcony in the city.
"Thank you for your help." the Councilman said. "You saved our city."
He bowed before them in a praying position.
"We owe you a great debt of gratitude." Raptarr said.
"You know, maybe someday our worlds could, you know, co-exist." Donnie hoped.
"Perhaps. Until then, I trust the secret of our existence will remain safe with you?" the Councilman hoped.
"You have our word." Leo promised.
"We won't say a word to anyone." Cath assured. "We swear it."
"I only have one request." Mikey said, holding a finger up.
"Name it." Raptarr said.
Mikey held up a camera as his siblings turned to him, before he gave it to Leo.
"Just how did you get that up here?" Elisa inquired, pointing at the camera.
"Not telling, sis." Mikey smirked. So, can somebody take my picture with Raptarr?"
"Why?" Donnie asked, as Mikey moved towards him. "Are you gonna sell it to the Weekly Weird News?"
Mikey chuckled. "Nah. It's for my Superhero team-up scrapbook." he explained. "Why? How much you think they'd give me for it?"
"With you in the picture? A nickel." Raph answered, annoyed. "Maybe less."
Mikey posed with Raptarr as his older siblings all laughed.
