Hi all, TogetherWeCanFly here. I'm not sure if anyone will see this because I haven't been active in awhile, but if you're seeing this, I sincerely hope that you guys will help me.
For those who read this story before I took it down, you know that this story was so important to me, and it explored so many things that I went through in real life and things that I felt needed to be talked about more. This story meant everything to me.
I took it down because I wanted to turn it into a novel, and I didn't want anyone to steal my work and pass it off as their own...
Well, my fear came true.
There is a wattpad author who posted my story, word for word (even the author's notes in some cases), and chapter for chapter, and claimed that SHE herself wrote it. The story got wildly popular on wattpad to the point that VERONICA ROTH herself sent the girl a message to compliment her.
I am so beyond disgusted. I am heartbroken and honestly close to tears.
Stealing someone's art/writing is such an ugly, disgusting thing to do. And in this case, when this story had such a significant place in my heart, I can still barely comprehend what would possess her to do this. And this isn't even the first time this has happened.
I want to have my story up. I want to share it with you all, but I cannot handle people like this taking something that I poured my heart and soul into, and claiming it as theirs.
Please, if there is ANY way you can help me, please please let me know. I am so lost, and disgusted right now. I know I keep saying it, but it is the only word that accurately describes how I feel right now.
