Uryuu stole a glance at Ichigo as he went through his paperwork, lost in thought.

Uryuu: (thinking) I wonder what he's thinking about... he's been out of it since...since...

Both were brought out of their daze by a knock on the door and two men walked in.

Keigo:ICHIIIIIGOOOOO!

Ichigo looked up from his paperwork confused when he tackled down with a hug.

Keigo:GUESS WHO'S BACK?

Yukio:(not looking up from video game)Hello Ichigo, smells nice in here.

Ichigo: Oh, you freaks are back from your mission?Goodbye peace.

Keigo:Oh that's just mean!!!

Keigo cried dramatically as Yukio put his gamer in his pocket and glanced around.

Yukio:Um...who's that?

A clueless Keigo looked around for the first time and his jaw dropped then he ran to Uryuu and tackled him down with a hug,crying.

Keigo: Oh my god what a beautiful girl you are! Are you our new lieutenant? Gosh you have such a flat chest,not that I mind!!!So beautiful...

Keigo made kissy faces trying to kiss poor Uryuu who was trying to get the freak off him.

Uryuu: Pervert!

Yukio sighed and calmly ripped Keigo off him then smiled softly.

Yukio: Sorry 'bout him demo next time he tries that don't hesitate to eat the crap outta him,no one will blame ya. He's kinda our punching bag around here.

Keigo: (cries)WHAT?!LIAR!!!

Yukio just smiled creepily as Uryuu stared with shock until finally realising it was a joke.

Yukio: I'm Yukio Hozuki by the way,9th seat and he's 10th seat,Asano Keigo.

Uryuu: Uryuu Ishida,nice to um...meet you.

A peaceful moment passed before Yukio threw himself at Uryuu followed by Keigo as they squeezed him as if he was a doll

Yukio: YOU ARE SO CUTE?!

Uryuu: (cries)Not you too!

Ichigo tried to laugh but was silenced by Uryuu's glare then he rushed to help the poor boy from being molested by two crazy freaks. The look on Keigo's face when he learnt that Uryuu was a guy was priceless and then Yukio had mocked him about his stupidity which led to the said man running out crying and Yukio trying to molest Uryuu again. For some reason,Ichigo felt anger in the pit of his stomach and found himself growling at the other boy

Ichigo: Yukio. Out. Now.

Yukio and Uryuu had looked at him with surprise before said boy rushed out,Uryuu smirked at him and he groaned in frustration.

Uryuu: Jealous much?

Ichigo: As if. I'm straight, in case you didn't know.

Uryuu: Oh you always remind us that Kurosaki.

Ichigo: Look those two are trouble just prepare for a fight to break down in 3...2...1...

Yumichika: I WILL KILL YOU KEIGO YOU MORON!!!

A loud BOOM was heard then a piercing scream,Ichigo rushed out followed by Uryuu

Uryuu: What's going on?

Ichigo: Just follow me.

The two arrived in time to witness the four men trying to kill each other. Grimmjaw and Yukio were on the floor trying to punch each other while Yumichika strangled the hell out of Keigo who was trying to get the freak off Yukio by kicking Grimmjaw. The squad members were watching them dumbfounded. Ichigo cleared his throat.

Ichigo: Grimmjaw...Yumichika... let them go

Grimmjaw: No way in hell.

Yumichika: Not until I kill him first!

Ichigo: (bored)What happened?

Grimmjaw: These lil' fuckers dyed all ma underwear pink.

Keigo: It wasn't me!

Yumichika: Where the hell is my diary?!

Keigo: Dunno,now let go you gay freak!

Yumichika: What'dya say?

Keigo: (chokes)I'M SORRY... I'M SORRY!!!

Yukio: Dammit let him go.

Grimmjaw: Stop getting sidetracked, ya haven't forgotten 'bout meh have ya?

Yukio glared at Grimmjaw and took out his console but Grimmjaw grabbed his hand and smirked. This was getting too far

Ichigo: (sighs)Will you stop this now?

The four ignored him,taking a step forward to intervene, Uryuu put a hand on his shoulder and cleared his throat. All boys jumped up as if they were burnt and he gave them a sweet smile which they all returned.

Grimmjaw: Yo,2nd seat!

Yumichika: Uryuu...didn't see you there,he he...

Yukio: They started it,everything is their fault.

Keigo: URYUU!!! SAVE MEEEE!

The man ran to hug Uryuu but Ichigo punched him hard he fell on the floor and he seeped dramatically.

Uryuu: We're kind of busy trying to finish our work, can you do the same and try to keep it down?

All:Of course!

Uryuu: Thank you.

The four men walked away

Keigo: Hey Grimmjaw, lets see who finishes their paperwork first. The loser becomes Yumichika's slave for a week

Yumichika: Ya better do it Grimmjaw.

Grimmjaw: What?Why are you siding with them?

Yukio just laughed his as off and pattered Grimmjaw's shoulder. Ichigo turned to Uryuu surprised.

Ichigo: How'd you do that so easily?And why were you so nice to them? You're never that nice to me.

Uryuu just shrugged and walked away and Ichigo chased after him

Ichigo: Oi!Don't turn your back on me.

Just then he felt an all too familiar reiatsu and turned back,shocked

Ichigo: Toshirou?

Toshirou:Kurosaki-kun,may I?

Ichigo: Um yeah,sure.

Both Captains walked into the office as Toshirou and Uryuu exchanged greetings before sitting down.

Uryuu: I'll leave you two alone.

With that the said man left,softly closing the door behind him. Toshirou sipped his tea and looked around.

Toshirou: How come your office is decorated all over,where do you get these nice things?

Ichigo: Meh,ya know 'Ichika,he brought all these lil' cute things from the world of the living and Ishida made Grimmjaw put them around the barracks.

Toshirou: It's beautiful.

Ichigo: I know ya didn't come here to talk about my office.

Toshirou frowned and looked at Uryuu's desk,Ichigo saw this and frowned as well.

Toshirou: What's not normal about him?

Ichigo: Why do you care?

Toshirou: I knew his father.

Silence...their eyes met before Toshirou continued.

Toshirou: Ryuuken Ishida...he was my Captain. I...admired him,everything I am is because of him,he picked me from the streets, gave me a home,everything. He wasn't the nicest men but...he knew how to take care of his people. I always followed him around. I would give my life for him,after he helped me get on my own two feet I became 3rd seat,your father was 2nd seat and he became Captain, I was so proud and swore to become 2nd seat and then one day...

Toshirou ran to Ryuuken's office out of breath he opened the door and bowed.

Toshirou: Taicho...trouble!Central 46 is headed here,they said they were going to attack you!Taicho...tell me what to do...I'll do it taicho...anything sir!

When there was silence Toshirou looked up and saw that Ryuuken was not there,the bare desk had a letter,reaching for it Toshirou read.

I am very sorry for leaving you like this but I couldn't stay for I would've risked you life. I know you would've sacrificed your own life in exchange for mine and for that I'm highly grateful. I am going to start a new life somewhere else where I won't ever bother you. Become strong and persue your dreams. Take care.

Toshirou had broke down into tears hugging the piece of paper as if his life depended on it and screamed.

Toshirou: WHY...WHY?...ISHIDA-TAICHO,CAN'T YOU SEE?...MY DREAM WAS SERVING YOU!!!...WHY COULDN'T YOU TAKE ME WITH YOU?!!!

Toshirou:...Central 46 had found me screaming and I attended therapy for 3 years. I pretended to be ok but deep inside I've been falling apart. But now...now I have his son!

Ichigo frowned and looked away

Toshirou: Ichigo can't you see?This is the only chance I have of healing. Onegai...just let me be close to him I'm begging you.

Ichigo: Uryuu Ishida is part Quincy.

Toshirou looked shocked for a moment before composing himself.

Toshirou: I'll protect him.

Ichigo looked at Toshirou intently thinking deeply and looked at Ichigo.

Ichigo: OK, you can become friends with him

Toshirou: Arigatou...you don't know how much this means for me.

Ichigo just smiled as both Captains enjoyed their tea.
